14 那时，约翰的门徒来见耶稣，说：“我们和法利赛人常常禁食，你的门徒倒不禁食，这是为什么呢？” 15 耶稣对他们说：“新郎和陪伴之人同在的时候，陪伴之人岂能哀恸呢？但日子将到，新郎要离开他们，那时候他们就要禁食。 16 没有人把新布补在旧衣服上，因为所补上的反带坏了那衣服，破的就更大了。

Jesus Is Questioned About Fasting(A)
14 Then the disciples of John came to Him, saying, (B)“Why do we and the Pharisees fast [a]often, but Your disciples do not fast?”
15 And Jesus said to them, “Can (C)the [b]friends of the bridegroom mourn as long as the bridegroom is with them? But the days will come when the bridegroom will be taken away from them, and (D)then they will fast. 16 No one puts a piece of unshrunk cloth on an old garment; for [c]the patch pulls away from the garment, and the tear is made worse.

16 “No one sews a patch of unshrunk cloth on an old garment, for the patch will pull away from the garment, making the tear worse.
