2 And after fasting (A)forty days and forty nights, he (B)was hungry. 3 And (C)the tempter came and said to him, “If you are (D)the Son of God, command (E)these stones to become loaves of bread.” 4 But he answered, (F)“It is written,
(G)“‘Man shall not live by bread alone,
but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’”

4 Men Jesus svarade: ”Det står skrivet: ’Människan lever inte bara av bröd, utan av alla de ord som utgår ur Guds mun.[a]’ ”
