谴责律法教师和法利赛人

23 随后，耶稣对百姓和门徒说： 2 “律法教师和法利赛人坐在摩西的位子上讲授律法。 3 你们要谨遵他们的教导，但不要效法他们的行为，因为他们言行不一。 4 他们捆好重担放在别人肩上，而自己连一根指头也不肯动！

5 “他们的所作所为是为了给人看的，他们把额上佩戴的经文盒子加宽了，又将衣裳的穗边加长了。 6 他们喜欢宴席中的上座和会堂里的首位。 7 他们喜欢别人在街市上问候他们，称呼他们为老师[a]。 8 但你们不要让别人称呼你们为老师，因为你们只有一位老师，你们彼此都是弟兄。 9 不要称呼地上的人为父亲，因为你们只有一位父亲，祂在天上。 10 不要让人称你们为导师，因为你们只有一位导师——基督。 11 你们当中谁最伟大，谁就要做你们的仆人。 12 自高的人必遭贬抑，谦卑的人必得尊荣。

13 “虚伪的律法教师和法利赛人啊，你们有祸了！因为你们当着人们的面关闭天国之门，自己不进去，也不让别人进去。

14 “虚伪的律法教师和法利赛人啊，你们有祸了！因为你们侵吞寡妇的财产，还假意做冗长的祷告。因此，你们会受到更严厉的刑罚。[b]

15 “虚伪的律法教师和法利赛人啊，你们有祸了！因为你们走遍海洋和陆地去引人入教，等人入了教，却使他沦为地狱之子，比你们还坏一倍。

16 “瞎眼的向导啊，你们有祸了！你们说，‘指着圣殿发誓，不算数；但是指着圣殿里的金子发誓，就要遵守誓言。’ 17 无知的瞎子啊！金子重要呢？还是使金子神圣的圣殿重要呢？ 18 你们又说，‘指着祭坛发誓不算数，但是指着坛上的供物发誓，就要遵守誓言。’ 19 瞎眼的人啊！供物重要呢？还是使供物神圣的祭坛重要呢？ 20 其实指着祭坛发誓，就是指着祭坛和坛上的一切东西发誓。 21 指着圣殿发誓，就是指着圣殿和住在里面的上帝发誓。 22 指着天发誓，就是指着上帝的宝座和坐在宝座上的那位发誓。

23 “虚伪的律法教师和法利赛人啊，你们有祸了！你们把薄荷、茴香、芹菜献上十分之一，却忽略了律法中更重要的事——公正、怜悯、信实。后者是你们本该做的，前者也不可忽略。 24 瞎眼的向导啊！你们滤出蚊虫，却吞下骆驼。

25 “虚伪的律法教师和法利赛人啊，你们有祸了！你们洗净杯盘的外面，里面却盛满了贪婪和放纵。 26 瞎眼的法利赛人啊！要先洗净杯盘的里面，好让外面也干净。[c]

27 “虚伪的律法教师和法利赛人啊，你们有祸了！你们好像粉饰的坟墓，外表好看，里面却装满了死人的骨头和各样污秽之物。 28 你们虚有公义的外表，内心却充满了各种的虚伪和罪恶。

29 “虚伪的律法教师和法利赛人啊，你们有祸了！你们为先知建墓，为义人修碑，并且说， 30 ‘如果我们活在我们祖先的时代，绝不会和他们一起去杀害先知。’ 31 这样，你们自己证明自己是杀害先知之人的后代。 32 去填满你们祖先的罪恶吧！ 33 你们这些蛇，这些毒蛇的后代啊，你们怎能逃脱地狱的刑罚呢？

34 “看啊，我派先知、智者和律法教师到你们当中，有的会遭到你们的杀害，被你们钉在十字架上；有的会在会堂里被你们鞭打，被你们从这城追到那城。 35 因此，所有义人在地上所流的血，就是从义人亚伯的血，直到你们在圣所和祭坛之间所杀的巴拉加的儿子撒迦利亚的血，都要归到你们身上。 36 我实在告诉你们，这一切的罪责都要归到这个世代。

为耶路撒冷哀叹

37 “耶路撒冷啊！耶路撒冷啊！你常杀害先知，又用石头打死派到你那里的使者。我多次想要招聚你的儿女，像母鸡将小鸡聚集在翅膀底下，可是你们却不肯。 38 看啊！你们的家园将一片荒凉。 39 我告诉你们，从现在起，直到你们说‘奉主名来的当受称颂’那天之前，你们再也见不到我了。”

Jesus Denounces Scribes and Pharisees

23 Then Jesus said to the crowds and to his disciples, 2 “The scribes and the Pharisees sit on Moses’s seat;(A) 3 therefore, do whatever they teach you and follow it, but do not do as they do, for they do not practice what they teach. 4 They tie up heavy burdens, hard to bear,[a] and lay them on the shoulders of others, but they themselves are unwilling to lift a finger to move them.(B) 5 They do all their deeds to be seen by others, for they make their phylacteries broad and their fringes long.(C) 6 They love to have the place of honor at banquets and the best seats in the synagogues(D) 7 and to be greeted with respect in the marketplaces and to have people call them rabbi. 8 But you are not to be called rabbi, for you have one teacher, and you are all brothers and sisters.(E) 9 And call no one your father on earth, for you have one Father, the one in heaven.(F) 10 Nor are you to be called instructors, for you have one instructor, the Messiah.[b] 11 The greatest among you will be your servant.(G) 12 All who exalt themselves will be humbled, and all who humble themselves will be exalted.(H)

13 “But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you lock people out of the kingdom of heaven. For you do not go in yourselves, and when others are going in you stop them.[c](I) 15 Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you cross sea and land to make a single convert, and you make the new convert twice as much a child of hell[d] as yourselves.

16 “Woe to you, blind guides who say, ‘Whoever swears by the sanctuary is bound by nothing, but whoever swears by the gold of the sanctuary is bound by the oath.’(J) 17 You blind fools! For which is greater, the gold or the sanctuary that has made the gold sacred?(K) 18 And you say, ‘Whoever swears by the altar is bound by nothing, but whoever swears by the gift that is on the altar is bound by the oath.’ 19 How blind you are! For which is greater, the gift or the altar that makes the gift sacred?(L) 20 So whoever swears by the altar swears by it and by everything on it, 21 and whoever swears by the sanctuary swears by it and by the one who dwells in it, 22 and whoever swears by heaven swears by the throne of God and by the one who is seated upon it.(M)

23 “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you tithe mint, dill, and cumin and have neglected the weightier matters of the law: justice and mercy and faith. It is these you ought to have practiced without neglecting the others.(N) 24 You blind guides! You strain out a gnat but swallow a camel!

25 “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you clean the outside of the cup and of the plate, but inside they are full of greed and self-indulgence. 26 You blind Pharisee! First clean the inside of the cup and of the plate,[e] so that the outside also may become clean.

27 “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs, which on the outside look beautiful but inside are full of the bones of the dead and of all kinds of uncleanness. 28 So you also on the outside look righteous to others, but inside you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness.

29 “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you build the tombs of the prophets and decorate the graves of the righteous, 30 and you say, ‘If we had lived in the days of our ancestors, we would not have taken part with them in shedding the blood of the prophets.’ 31 Thus you testify against yourselves that you are descendants of those who murdered the prophets. 32 Fill up, then, the measure of your ancestors. 33 You snakes, you brood of vipers! How can you escape the judgment of hell?[f] 34 For this reason I send you prophets, sages, and scribes, some of whom you will kill and crucify, and some you will flog in your synagogues and pursue from town to town, 35 so that upon you may come all the righteous blood shed on earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah son of Barachiah, whom you murdered between the sanctuary and the altar. 36 Truly I tell you, all this will come upon this generation.

The Lament over Jerusalem

37 “Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the city that kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to it! How often have I desired to gather your children together as a hen gathers her brood under her wings, and you were not willing! 38 See, your house is left to you, desolate.[g] 39 For I tell you, you will not see me again until you say, ‘Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord.’ ”(O)

23 Dayon naghambal si Jesus sa mga tawo kag sa iya mga sumulunod. 2 Siling niya, “Ang mga manunudlo sang Kasuguan kag mga Pariseo amo ang ginsaligan nga magsaysay sang Kasuguan ni Moises. 3 Gani tumana ninyo ang ila ginatudlo sa inyo, pero indi kamo magsunod sang ila ginahimo tungod kay lain ang ila ginahimo sang sa ila ginahambal. 4 Nagahimo sila sang mga mabudlay nga mga pagsulundan para sa mga tawo, pero wala sila nagabulig bisan diutay lang agod matuman ang ila ginsugo.[a] 5 Ang tanan nga ginahimo nila pakita-kita lang sa mga tawo. Ginapalapad nila ang mga kahon-kahon nga bulutangan sang mga ginpili nga mga pulong halin sa Kasulatan nga ila ginabugkos sa ila agtang kag sa ila butkon. Kag ginapalaba pa nila ang mga gaway-gaway[b] sa punta sang ila mga bayo agod silingon nga mga diosnon gid sila. 6 Sa mga punsyon kag sa mga simbahan, gusto gid nila nga magpungko sa mga pulungkuan nga para sa mga dungganon. 7 Sa mga lugar nga madamo sang tawo,[c] gusto nila nga tahuron sila kag tawgon nga mga ‘Manunudlo.’ 8 Pero kamo inyo, indi dapat magpatawag nga ‘Manunudlo,’ kay mag-ulutod kamo kag isa lang ang inyo manunudlo. 9 Indi man kamo magtawag ‘Amay’ sa bisan kay sin-o diri sa duta, kay isa lang gid ang inyo Amay, ang Amay nga ara sa langit. 10 Kag indi kamo magpatawag, ‘Agalon,’[d] kay isa lang ang inyo agalon kag siya amo ang Cristo. 11 Kon sin-o sa inyo ang nagaalagad sa iya kaupod amo ang labaw sa tanan. 12 Ang nagapakataas sang iya kaugalingon paubuson sang Dios. Pero ang nagapaubos sang iya kaugalingon pataason sang Dios.”

Ginapakamalaot sang Dios ang Ila Pagkahipokrito(B)

13 “Kaluluoy kamo nga mga manunudlo sang Kasuguan kag mga Pariseo, kamo nga mga hipokrito![e] Ginabalabagan ninyo ang mga tawo nga magpasakop sa paghari sang Dios. Kamo mismo indi magpasakop, kag ginapunggan pa ninyo ang mga tawo nga nagatinguha nga magpasakop.

[14 “Kaluluoy kamo nga mga manunudlo sang Kasuguan kag mga Pariseo, kamo nga mga hipokrito! Ang inyo pagtuo sa Dios pakita-kita lang. Ginaubos ninyo kuha ang mga pagkabutang sang mga balo nga babayi, kag ginatabon-tabunan lang ninyo ang inyo ginahimo paagi sa malawig nga mga pagpangamuyo. Gani mas dako ang silot nga inyo pagabatunon!]

15 “Kaluluoy kamo nga mga manunudlo sang Kasuguan kag mga Pariseo, kamo nga mga hipokrito! Nagakadto kamo sa bisan diin nga lugar kag nagatabok pa sa mga dagat agod makomberter ninyo ang bisan isa lang ka tawo sa inyo relihiyon. Pero kon makomberter na ninyo ginahimo ninyo siya nga sobra pa sa inyo kalain kag bagay gid sa impyerno. 16 Kaluluoy kamo nga mga bulag nga manugtuytoy. Nagatudlo kamo nga, ‘Kon ang tawo magsumpa sa templo, indi kinahanglan nga tumanon niya ang iya ginsumpa. Pero kon magsumpa siya sa bulawan didto sa templo, kinahanglan tumanon gid niya ang iya ginsumpa.’ 17 Buang-buang kag bulag kamo. Diin ang mas importante, ang bulawan ukon ang templo nga nagapabalaan sa bulawan? 18 Nagatudlo man kamo nga ‘kon ang tawo magsumpa sa halaran, indi kinahanglan nga tumanon niya ang iya ginsumpa. Pero kon magsumpa siya sa halad nga ara sa halaran kinahanglan tumanon gid niya ang iya ginsumpa.’ 19 Mga bulag gid kamo! Diin ang mas importante, ang halad ukon ang halaran nga nagapabalaan sa halad? 20 Amo ina nga kon ang tawo magsumpa sa halaran, nagasumpa siya sa halaran kag sa tanan nga halad sa halaran. 21 Kag kon ang tawo magsumpa sa templo, nagasumpa siya sa templo kag sa Dios nga nagapuyo didto. 22 Kag kon ang tawo magsumpa sa langit, nagasumpa siya sa trono sang Dios, kag sa Dios nga nagapungko didto.

23 “Kaluluoy kamo nga mga manunudlo sang Kasuguan kag mga Pariseo, kamo nga mga hipokrito! Nagahatag kamo sa Dios sang inyo ikanapulo bisan sa mga panakot sa pagkaon, pero ginabaliwala ninyo ang mas importante nga mga sugo parte sa matarong nga pagkabuhi, pagkamaluluy-on, kag pagkamasaligan. Maghatag kamo sang inyo ikanapulo pero indi ninyo pag-ibaliwala ang mas importante nga mga sugo. 24 Bulag gid kamo nga mga manunudlo. Sa sining ginahimo ninyo pareho lang nga nagasala kamo sang sapat-sapat sa inyo ilimnon, pero ginatulon ninyo ang mas dako pa nga sapat pareho sa kamelyo.[f]

25 “Kaluluoy kamo nga mga manunudlo sang Kasuguan kag mga Pariseo, kamo nga mga hipokrito! Kay ginahugasan ninyo ang sa guwa lang nga bahin sang tasa kag pinggan bilang ritual, pero ang sa sulod ninyo puno sang kadalok kag kaibog.[g] 26 Bulag kamo nga mga Pariseo! Tinlui ninyo anay ang sa sulod nga bahin sang tasa kag pinggan, kag ang sa guwa mangin matinlo man.[h]

27 “Kaluluoy kamo nga mga manunudlo sang Kasuguan kag mga Pariseo, kamo nga mga hipokrito! Pareho kamo sa mga lulubngan nga ginpintahan sang puti kag matahom tulukon sa guwa, pero sa sulod puro lang tul-an sang patay kag iban pa nga mahigko nga mga butang. 28 Pareho gid kamo sina kay kon tulukon kamo sang mga tawo daw husto man ang inyo ginahimo pero ang matuod, puro pakita-kita lang, kay sa sulod sang inyo tagipusuon malaot gid kamo.”

Gintagna ni Jesus nga Silutan Sila(C)

29 “Kaluluoy kamo nga mga manunudlo sang Kasuguan kag mga Pariseo, kamo nga mga hipokrito! Ginapakay-o ninyo sing maayo kag ginapatahom ang lulubngan sang mga matarong kag mga propeta, 30 kag nagasiling kamo, ‘Kon buhi kami sang tiyempo sang amon mga katigulangan, wala kami magpatay sang mga propeta pareho sang ila ginhimo.’ 31 Gani, ginaako ninyo nga mga kaliwat kamo sang mga tawo nga nagpamatay sang mga propeta.[i] 32 Sige, tapusa ninyo ang ginsuguran sang inyo mga katigulangan! 33 Pareho kamo sa mga man-og, mga kaliwat kamo sang mga dalitan nga mga man-og. Indi gid kamo makapalagyo sa silot sa impyerno. 34 Gani pamati kamo! Magapadala ako sa inyo sang mga propeta kag maalam nga mga tawo kag mga manunudlo. Ang iban sa ila pamatyon ninyo. Ipalansang ninyo sila sa krus. Kag ang iban hanuton ninyo sa inyo mga simbahan. Kag kon bisan diin nga lugar sila magpalagyo lagson ninyo. 35 Amo ina nga silutan kamo sa inyo pagpamatay sa tanan nga tawo nga matarong halin kay Abel hasta kay Zacarias nga anak ni Barakia, nga inyo ginpatay sa tunga sang templo kag sang halaran. 36 Sa pagkamatuod, kamo nga mga tawo sa sini nga henerasyon amo ang manabat sa sining tanan nga sala.”

Nagkasubo si Jesus sa mga Taga-Jerusalem(D)

37 “Kamo nga mga taga-Jerusalem, ngaa ginabato ninyo kag ginapamatay ang mga propeta nga ginpadala sang Dios sa inyo? Permi ko ginahandom nga tipunon kamo kag atipanon pareho sang munga nga nagatipon sang iya mga piso sa idalom sang iya mga pakpak, pero indi kamo gusto sini! 38 Karon, bahala kamo sa inyo kaugalingon. 39 Kay indi na gid ninyo ako makita hasta sa pag-abot sang adlaw nga magasiling kamo, ‘Ginapakamaayo sang Ginoo ang iya pinadala.’ ”[j] [k]
