20 »En effet, le royaume des cieux ressemble à un propriétaire qui sortit dès le matin afin d'embaucher des ouvriers pour sa vigne. 2 Il se mit d'accord avec eux pour un salaire d'une pièce d’argent par jour et les envoya dans sa vigne. 3 Il sortit vers neuf heures du matin et en vit d'autres qui étaient sur la place, sans travail. 4 Il leur dit: ‘Allez aussi à ma vigne et je vous donnerai ce qui sera juste.’ 5 Et ils y allèrent. Il sortit de nouveau vers midi et vers trois heures de l'après-midi et il fit de même. 6 Il sortit enfin vers cinq heures de l'après-midi et en trouva d'autres qui étaient là, [sans travail]. Il leur dit: ‘Pourquoi vous tenez-vous ici toute la journée sans travailler?’ 7 Ils lui répondirent: ‘C'est que personne ne nous a embauchés.’ ‘Allez aussi à ma vigne, leur dit-il, [et vous recevrez ce qui sera juste].’ 8 Le soir venu, le maître de la vigne dit à son intendant: ‘Appelle les ouvriers et paie-leur le salaire, en allant des derniers aux premiers.’ 9 Ceux de cinq heures de l'après-midi vinrent et reçurent chacun une pièce d’argent. 10 Quand les premiers vinrent à leur tour, ils pensèrent recevoir davantage, mais ils reçurent aussi chacun une pièce d’argent. 11 En la recevant, ils murmurèrent contre le propriétaire 12 en disant: ‘Ces derniers arrivés n'ont travaillé qu'une heure et tu les as traités comme nous, qui avons supporté la fatigue du jour et de la chaleur!’ 13 Il répondit à l'un d'eux: ‘Mon ami, je ne te fais pas de tort. N'as-tu pas été d'accord avec moi pour un salaire d’une pièce d’argent? 14 Prends ce qui te revient et va-t'en. Je veux donner à ce dernier arrivé autant qu'à toi. 15 Ne m'est-il pas permis de faire ce que je veux de mes biens? Ou vois-tu d'un mauvais œil que je sois bon?’ 16 Ainsi les derniers seront les premiers et les premiers seront les derniers. [Beaucoup sont invités mais peu sont choisis.]»
Demande de la mère de Jacques et de Jean
17 Pendant qu'il montait à Jérusalem, Jésus prit à part les douze disciples et leur dit en chemin: 18 «Nous montons à Jérusalem et le Fils de l'homme sera livré aux chefs des prêtres et aux spécialistes de la loi. Ils le condamneront à mort 19 et le livreront aux non-Juifs pour qu'ils se moquent de lui, le fouettent et le crucifient; le troisième jour il ressuscitera.»
20 Alors la mère des fils de Zébédée s'approcha de Jésus avec ses fils et se prosterna pour lui faire une demande. 21 Il lui dit: «Que veux-tu?» «Ordonne, lui dit-elle, que dans ton royaume mes deux fils que voici soient assis l'un à ta droite et l'autre à ta gauche.» 22 Jésus répondit: «Vous ne savez pas ce que vous demandez. Pouvez-vous boire la coupe que je vais boire [ou être baptisés du baptême dont je vais être baptisé]?» «Nous le pouvons», dirent-ils. 23 Il leur répondit: «Vous boirez en effet ma coupe [et vous serez baptisés du baptême dont je vais être baptisé]. Mais quant à être assis à ma droite et à ma gauche, cela ne dépend pas de moi et ne sera donné qu'à ceux pour qui mon Père l'a préparé.» 24 Après avoir entendu cela, les dix autres furent indignés contre les deux frères. 25 Jésus les appela et leur dit: «Vous savez que les chefs des nations dominent sur elles et que les grands les tiennent sous leur pouvoir. 26 Ce ne sera pas le cas au milieu de vous, mais si quelqu'un veut être grand parmi vous, il sera votre serviteur; 27 et si quelqu'un veut être le premier parmi vous, qu'il soit votre esclave. 28 C'est ainsi que le Fils de l'homme est venu, non pour être servi, mais pour servir et donner sa vie en rançon pour beaucoup.»
Guérison de deux aveugles
29 Lorsqu'ils sortirent de Jéricho, une grande foule suivit Jésus. 30 Deux aveugles, assis au bord du chemin, entendirent que Jésus passait et crièrent: «Aie pitié de nous, Seigneur, Fils de David[a]!» 31 La foule les reprenait pour les faire taire, mais ils crièrent plus fort: «Aie pitié de nous, Seigneur, Fils de David!» 32 Jésus s'arrêta, les appela et dit: «Que voulez-vous que je fasse pour vous?» 33 Ils lui dirent: «Seigneur, que nos yeux s'ouvrent.» 34 Rempli de compassion, Jésus toucha leurs yeux; aussitôt ils retrouvèrent la vue et ils le suivirent.

20 “因为天国好像家主清早出去雇人进他的葡萄园做工， 2 和工人讲定一天一钱银子，就打发他们进葡萄园去。 3 约在巳初出去，看见市上还有闲站的人， 4 就对他们说：‘你们也进葡萄园去，所当给的，我必给你们。’他们也进去了。 5 约在午正和申初又出去，也是这样行。 6 约在酉初出去，看见还有人站在那里，就问他们说：‘你们为什么整天在这里闲站呢？’ 7 他们说：‘因为没有人雇我们。’他说：‘你们也进葡萄园去。’ 8 到了晚上，园主对管事的说：‘叫工人都来，给他们工钱，从后来的起，到先来的为止。’ 9 约在酉初雇的人来了，各人得了一钱银子。 10 及至那先雇的来了，他们以为必要多得，谁知也是各得一钱。

11 “他们得了，就埋怨家主说： 12 ‘我们整天劳苦受热，那后来的只做了一小时，你竟叫他们和我们一样吗？’ 13 家主回答其中的一人说：‘朋友，我不亏负你。你与我讲定的不是一钱银子吗？ 14 拿你的走吧！我给那后来的和给你一样，这是我愿意的。 15 我的东西难道不可随我的意思用吗？因为我做好人，你就红了眼吗？’ 16 这样，那在后的将要在前，在前的将要在后了。[a]”
预言受难复活
17 耶稣上耶路撒冷去的时候，在路上把十二个门徒带到一边，对他们说： 18 “看哪，我们上耶路撒冷去，人子要被交给祭司长和文士，他们要定他死罪， 19 又交给外邦人将他戏弄、鞭打、钉在十字架上，第三日他要复活。”
谁愿为首当做仆人
20 那时，西庇太儿子的母亲同她两个儿子上前来拜耶稣，求他一件事。 21 耶稣说：“你要什么呢？”她说：“愿你叫我这两个儿子在你国里，一个坐在你右边，一个坐在你左边。” 22 耶稣回答说：“你们不知道所求的是什么。我将要喝的杯，你们能喝吗？”他们说：“我们能。” 23 耶稣说：“我所喝的杯，你们必要喝；只是坐在我的左右，不是我可以赐的，乃是我父为谁预备的，就赐给谁。” 24 那十个门徒听见，就恼怒他们弟兄二人。 25 耶稣叫了他们来，说：“你们知道，外邦人有君王为主治理他们，有大臣操权管束他们。 26 只是在你们中间不可这样，你们中间谁愿为大，就必做你们的用人； 27 谁愿为首，就必做你们的仆人。 28 正如人子来不是要受人的服侍，乃是要服侍人，并且要舍命做多人的赎价。”
使两个瞎子看见
29 他们出耶利哥的时候，有极多的人跟随他。 30 有两个瞎子坐在路旁，听说是耶稣经过，就喊着说：“主啊，大卫的子孙，可怜我们吧！” 31 众人责备他们，不许他们作声，他们却越发喊着说：“主啊，大卫的子孙，可怜我们吧！” 32 耶稣就站住，叫他们来，说：“要我为你们做什么？” 33 他们说：“主啊，要我们的眼睛能看见！” 34 耶稣就动了慈心，把他们的眼睛一摸，他们立刻看见，就跟从了耶稣。

Christ teaches by a similitude that God is debtor to no man, and how he is always calling people to his work. He teaches his disciples to be lowly, and gives two blind men their sight.
20 For the kingdom of heaven may be likened to a householder who went out early in the morning to hire labourers into his vineyard. 2 And he agreed with the labourers for a denarius a day, and sent them into his vineyard. 3 And he went out about the third hour and saw others standing idle in the market place, 4 and said to them, Go ye also into my vineyard, and whatever is right, I will give you. And they went their way.
5 Again he went out about the sixth and ninth hour, and did likewise. 6 And he went out about the eleventh hour and found others standing idle, and said to them, Why do you stand here idle all the day? 7 They said to him, Because no one has hired us. He said to them, Go ye also into my vineyard, and whatever is right, that you will receive.
8 When evening was come, the lord of the vineyard said to his steward, Call the labourers and give them their wages, beginning at the last till you come to the first.
9 And those who were hired about the eleventh hour came and received every man a denarius. 10 Then came the first, supposing that they would receive more, but they likewise received every man a denarius. 11 And when they had received it, they murmured against the master of the house, 12 saying, These last have worked only one hour, and you have made them equal to us who have borne the burden and heat of the day.
13 He answered to one of them, saying, Friend, I do you no wrong. Did you not agree with me for a denarius? 14 Take that which is your due, and go your way. I want to give to the last one as much as to you. 15 Is it not lawful for me to do as I please with what belongs to me? Is your eye evil because I am good?
16 In like manner the last may be first, and the first last. For many are called, but few are chosen.
17 And Jesus went up to Jerusalem, and took the twelve disciples apart along the way and said to them, 18 Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem. And the Son of man will be betrayed to the chief priests and to the scribes, and they will condemn him to death, 19 and will deliver him to the Gentiles to be mocked, to be scourged, and to be crucified; and the third day he will rise again.
20 Then the mother of Zebedee’s children came to him with her sons, doing reverence to him and desiring a certain thing of him. 21 He said to her, What would you like? She answered him, Grant that these my two sons may sit, the one on your right hand and the other on your left hand, in your kingdom.
22 Jesus answered and said, You know not what you ask. Are you able to drink of the cup that I must drink of, and to be baptized with the baptism that I must be baptized with?
They answered to him, That we are.
23 And he said to them, You shall drink of my cup, and shall be baptized with the baptism that I will be baptized with. But to sit on my right hand and on my left hand is not mine to give, but is for those for whom it is prepared by my Father.
24 And when the ten heard about this, they were indignant at the two brethren. 25 But Jesus called them to him and said, You know that the lords of the Gentiles have dominion over them, and those who are great exercise power over them. 26 It shall not be this way among you, but whosoever would be great among you, let him minister to you, 27 and whoever would be chief, let him be your servant – 28 even as the Son of man came not to be served, but to serve, and to give his life for the redemption of many.
29 And as they departed from Jericho, crowds of people followed Jesus. 30 And two blind men sitting by the wayside, when they heard Jesus pass by, cried out, saying, Lord Son of David, have mercy on us! 31 And the people admonished them to hold their peace. But they cried out all the more, saying, Have mercy on us, Lord Son of David!
32 Then Jesus stood still and called them, and said, What do you want me to do for you? 33 They said to him, Lord, that our eyes may be opened! 34 Jesus had compassion on them and touched their eyes, and immediately their eyes received sight. And they followed him.
