13 On that day, having gone out of the bais, Rebbe, Melech HaMoshiach sat beside the lake.
2 And many multitudes gathered together to him so that he got into a sirah (boat) to sit down, and the entire multitude stood along the shore.
3 And Rebbe, Melech HaMoshiach told them many things in meshalim (parables), saying Hinei! The Sower went out to sow [seeds].
4 And while he sowed, on the one hand, this [seed] fell along the road, and the birds having come, devoured them.
5 And others fell upon the rocky places, where there is not much soil, and immediately it sprouts on account of the lack of the soil’s depth.
6 And when the shemesh (sun) arose, the zera (seed) was scorched, and because it did not have a root, it withered.
7 And others fell among the thorns, and the thorns grew up and choked them.
8 But others fell on the adamah tovah (good ground), and they yielded fruit: the one, one hundred, the other, sixty, the other, thirty.
9 The one having oznayim (spiritual ears), let him hear!
10 And, approaching, the talmidim said to Rebbe, Melech HaMoshiach, Why in meshalim (parables) are you speaking to them?
11 And Rebbe, Melech HaMoshiach answered them, Because to you it has been granted to have daas of the razim (mysteries) of the Malchut HaShomayim, but to those it has not been granted.
12 For whoever has, [more] will be given to him, and he will have an abundance. But whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken from him (see Mt 25:14-29).
13 For this reason in meshalim I am speaking to them, for while seeing they do not see, and [while] hearing they do not hear, nor do they have binah (understanding).
14 And in them is fulfilled the nevuah (prophecy) of Yeshayah HaNavi, saying, SHIMU SHAMOA VAL TAVINU UREU RAO VAL TEIDAU (In hearing you will hear and by no means understand, and seeing you will see and by no means perceive).
15 HASHMEIN LEV HAAM HAZEH VAZNAV HACHBEID VEINAV HASHA, PEN YIREH VEINAV UVEAZNAV YISHMAH ULEVAVO YAVIN, VSHAV NRAFAH LOH. (For the heart of this people has been made dull, and with [their] ears are hard of hearing, and their eyes are shut, lest they see with the their eyes and with [their] ears they hear, and with the lev (heart) they understand and they turn and I will give them refuah [healing] YESHAYAH 6:9-10).
16 But ashrey are your eyes, for they see, and your ears, for they hear.
17 For truly I say to you that many Neviim and tzaddikim desired to see what you see, and they did not see [it], and to hear what you hear, and they did not hear it.
18 You, therefore, listen to the mashal of the sower.
19 When anyone hears the Dvar HaMalchut and does not have binah, HaRah (the Evil one) comes and seizes that which was sown in his lev (heart). This is the zera (seed) sown along the path.
20 And the zera sown upon the rocky places is the person listening to the Dvar Hashem and immediately with simcha receives it.
21 Yet he has no root in himself but is short-lived, and when ES TZARAH comes or persecution on account of the Dvar Hashem, immediately he ceases being a maamin Meshichi (Messianic believer) and becomes meshummad (apostate), falling away and giving up the [true Orthodox Jewish] faith. [YIRMEYAH 30:7]
22 And the [zera] sown among the thorns is the one hearing the dvar (word), and the rogez HaOlam Hazeh (the anxiety of this age, DEVARIM 28:65) and the mirmah (deceit) of riches, choke the Dvar Hashem and it becomes unfruitful. [YESHAYAH 53:9]
23 And the zera sown upon the adamah tovah (the good ground), this is the one who hears the Dvar Hashem and, understanding [it], indeed bears pri and, one produces a hundred, the other sixty, the other thirty.
24 Another mashal Rebbe, Melech HaMoshiach placed before them, saying, The Malchut HaShomayim is like a man sowing zera tov (good seed) in his field.
25 But while men slept, his oyev (enemy) came and oversowed weeds in between the wheat and went away.
26 But when the wheat sprouted and produced pri, then the weeds also appeared.
27 So the servants of the Baal Bayit said to him, Adoneinu, did you not sow zera tov (good seed) in your field? How then does it have weeds?
28 And he said to them, An oyev did this. So the servants say to him, Do you want us to go and pull them all?
29 But he says, No, lest gathering the weeds you should uproot the wheat together with them.
30 Permit both to grow together until the Katzir (harvest); and in time of the Katzir, I will say to the kotzerim, Collect first the weeds, and bind them into bundles to burn them. But the wheat gather into my storehouse.
31 Another mashal Rebbe, Melech HaMoshiach placed before them, saying, The Malchut HaShomayim is like a mustard seed, which a man took and sowed in his field.
32 This that is indeed less than all the zeraim (seeds), but when it grows, it is larger than the garden vegetables and it becomes an etz (tree), so that the OPH HASHOMAYIM IYOV 35:11) come and dwell in its branches.
33 Another mashal Rebbe, Melech HaMoshiach spoke to them. The Malchut HaShomayim is like seor (leaven), which having taken, a woman hid in three satas of wheat flour until the whole was leavened.
34 All these things Rebbe, Melech HaMoshiach spoke in meshalim to the multitudes. And apart from meshalim Rebbe, Melech HaMoshiach did not speak to them:
35 So that might be fulfilled what was spoken through the Navi, saying, EFTCHA VMASHAL PI AVIAH CHIDOT (I will open my mouth with parables, I will utter things having been hidden) from the foundation of the world. [TEHILLIM 78:2]
36 Then having sent away the multitudes, Rebbe, Melech HaMoshiach came into the bais (house). And Moshiach’s talmidim approached him, saying, Explain to us the mashal of the weeds of the field.
37 And answering, Rebbe, Melech HaMoshiach said, The Sower of the zera tov is the Ben HaAdam (Moshiach).
38 The field is HaOlam Hazeh. And the zera tov, the good seed, these are the Bnei HaMalchut, and the weeds, these are the bnei HaRah (sons of the Evil one, BERESHIS 3:15).
39 And the Oyev (the Enemy) sowing them is Hasatan. And the Katzir (Harvest), this is HaKetz HaOlam (the end of the age). And the kotzerim (reapers, harvesters) are malachim (angels).
40 As the weeds are pulled up and gathered and are consumed with Eish (Fire), so also it will be at the Ketz HaOlam.
41 The Ben HaAdam [Moshiach] will send forth his malachim, and they will pull up and gather out of the Moshiach’s Malchut all the things making meshummad (apostate) and the ones who are without Torah and antinomian.
42 And Moshiach’s malachim will throw them into the furnace of Eish; there will be weeping and grinding of teeth.
43 Then the tzaddikim will shine as the shemesh (sun) in the Malchut of their Father. The one having oznayim (spiritual ears), let him hear.
44 The Malchut HaShomayim is like otzar (treasure) hidden in the field, which, having found, a man hid. And from the simcha he experienced, he goes away and sells everything he has and buys that field.
45 Again, the Malchut HaShomayim is like a merchant searching for fine pearls.
46 And having found one precious peninah (pearl), he went away and liquidated everything he had and acquired it.
47 Again, the Malchut HaShomayim is like a reshet (net) having been cast into the lake, a reshet collecting and gathering dagim (fish) of all descriptions,
48 which, when this reshet (net) was filled, they hoisted it upon the shore, sat down, collected the tov (good) into a creel, and the rah (evil), they threw out.
49 Thus it will be at HaKetz HaOlam Hazeh (The End of This World). The malachim will go out and they will separate the reshaim from among the tzaddikim.
50 And they will throw the reshaim into the furnace of Eish. In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
51 Did you have binah of all these things? They say to Rebbe, Melech HaMoshiach, Ken.
52 So Rebbe, Melech HaMoshiach said to them, Therefore, every sofer (scribe, Torah teacher, rabbi) who becomes a talmid of the Malchut HaShomayim is like a man [who is] a Baal Bayit, who takes out of his otzar (treasure), chadashot (new things) and also yeshanot (old things).
53 And it came about when Rebbe, Melech HaMoshiach finished these meshalim, that he went away from there.
54 And having come into Moshiach’s shtetl, he began ministering as a moreh (teacher) in their shul, so that they were amazed and said, From where did this chochmah come to this one, this chochmah and these moftim (miracles, wonders, omens)?
55 Is this not the ben hanaggar (the carpenter’s son)? Is not his Em called Miryam? And are not his achim Yaakov*, Yosef, Shimon and Yehuda**?
56 And are not his achayot (sisters) with us? From where, therefore, came to this one all these things?
57 And they were taking offense at Rebbe, Melech HaMoshiach. But Rebbe, Melech HaMoshiach said to them, A Navi (prophet) is not without honor except in his hometown and in his bais.
58 And Rebbe, Melech HaMoshiach did not accomplish in that place many moftim, because of their lack of emunah (faith) and bitachon (trust).

Ang Pulong Sa Dios
Ang Sambingay bahin sa Tigsabwag
(Mar. 4:1-9; Luc. 8:4-8)
13 Nianang adlawa, migawas si Jesus sa balay ug miadto siya sa daplin sa linaw ug milingkod didto. 2 Apan tungod kay gilibotan siya sa daghang mga tawo, misakay siya sa sakayan ug milingkod aron sa pagtudlo. Ang mga tawo diha sa daplin sa linaw naminaw samtang nagtudlo siya. 3 Daghan ang iyang gitudlo kanila pinaagi sa mga sambingay. Miingon siya:
“May usa ka mag-uuma nga nagsabwag ug binhi. 4 Nasabwag ang uban nga binhi sa daplin sa dalan, ug gituka kini sa mga langgam. 5 Ang uban didto nasabwag sa kabatoan. Gamay lang ang yuta niini, busa dali ra nga mitubo ang binhi. 6 Apan nalawos kini sa dihang nainitan sa adlaw, ug nalaya ra dayon tungod kay gamay ra ang gamot. 7 Ang uban nga binhi mitubo sa yuta nga may tunokon nga mga sagbot, apan sa paglabong sa mga sagbot natabonan kini. 8 Ang uban usab nga binhi nasabwag sa maayo nga yuta, mitubo ug namunga. Ang uban igo-igo lang ang bunga, ang uban daghan, ug ang uban daghan kaayo.[a] 9 Kamo nga nagapaminaw, kinahanglan sabton gayod ninyo kining inyong nadungog.”
Ang Katuyoan sa mga Sambingay
(Mar. 4:10-12; Luc. 8:9-10)
10 Unya miduol kang Jesus ang iyang mga tinun-an ug nangutana. “Nganong nakigsulti ka sa mga tawo pinaagi sa mga sambingay?” 11 Mitubag si Jesus kanila, “Ang mga tinago mahitungod sa paghari sa Dios gisulti kaninyo sa pamaagi nga masabtan ninyo, apan sa uban wala kini isulti sa pamaagi nga masabtan nila. 12 Kay ang tawo nga magtipig sa iyang nadungog nga kamatuoran hatagan pa ug pagsabot, ug daghan gayod ang idugang kaniya. Apan ang tawo nga wala magtipig sa iyang nadungog nga kamatuoran, bisan ang gamay niyang nasabtan, kuhaon pa gikan kaniya. 13 Busa nagasulti ako kanila pinaagi sa mga sambingay tungod kay nagtan-aw sila apan dili makakita, ug naminaw sila apan dili makasabot. 14 Busa natuman diha kanila ang giingon sa Dios pinaagi kang Propeta Isaias,
‘Sige lang kamog paminaw apan dili kamo makasabot.
Sige lang kamog tan-aw apan dili kamo makakita.
15 Tungod kay gahig ulo kining mga tawhana.
Gisampongan nila ang ilang mga dalunggan,
ug gipiyong nila ang ilang mga mata.
Kay basin makakita sila ug makadungog,
ug makasabot ug moduol kanako,
ug ayohon ko sila.’[b]
16 Apan bulahan kamong mga nagasunod kanako, kay nakakita kamo ug nakadungog. 17 Sa pagkatinuod, daghan ang mga propeta ug matarong nga mga tawo kaniadto nga nagtinguha nga makakita ug makadungog sa inyong nakita ug nadungog karon, apan wala kini mahitabo sa ilang panahon.”
Gipasabot ni Jesus ang Kahulogan sa Sambingay
(Mar. 4:13-20; Luc. 8:11-15)
18 “Busa, paminawa ug tun-i ninyo kon unsa ang kahulogan sa sambingay mahitungod sa tigsabwag. 19 Ang naminaw sa pulong mahitungod sa paghari sa Dios apan wala makasabot, nahisama niadtong daplin sa dalan nga nasabwagan ug binhi. Miabot si Satanas, ug giilog niya ang pulong diha sa iyang kasingkasing. 20 Ang kabatoan nga gamay lang ug yuta nga nasabwagan sa binhi mao ang tawo nga nakadungog ug midawat sa pulong sa Dios nga may kalipay. 21 Apan dili kini kinasingkasing. Busa wala molungtad ang iyang pagtuo. Sa pag-abot sa kalisod o paglutos tungod sa iyang pagdawat sa pulong sa Dios, mibiya siya sa iyang pagtuo. 22 Ang yuta nga may mga tunokon nga sagbot nga nasabwagan ug binhi mao ang tawo nga nakadungog sa pulong sa Dios. Apan tungod sa mga kabalaka sa panginabuhi ug pagpaningkamot nga makaangkon ug bahandi, nalimtan niya ang pulong sa Dios nga iyang nadungog ug wala kini namunga sa iyang kinabuhi. 23 Apan ang maayo nga yuta nga nasabwagan ug binhi mao ang tawo nga naminaw gayod ug nakasabot sa pulong sa Dios. Namunga gayod ang pulong sa Dios sa iyang kinabuhi. Ang uban igo-igo lang ang bunga, ang uban daghan, ug ang uban daghan kaayo.”[c]
Ang Sambingay bahin sa Sagbot
24 Nagpadayon si Jesus sa iyang pagtudlo sa mga tawo pinaagi sa sambingay. Miingon siya, “Ang paghari sa Dios nahisama sa tawo nga nagsabwag ug maayo nga binhi sa iyang yuta. 25 Sa kagabhion, samtang ang mga tawo nangatulog, ang iyang kaaway miadto didto ug nagsabwag ug liso sa sagbot ug unya mipauli. 26 Mitubo ang tanom, ug sa dihang namunga kini nakita nga may mga sagbot diay. 27 Busa miadto kaniya ang iyang mga sulugoon ug miingon, ‘Dili ba maayo nga binhi ang atong gisabwag sa imong yuta? Asa gikan ang mga sagbot?’ 28 Miingon ang ilang agalon, ‘Ang kaaway mao ang nagbuhat niini.’ Busa nangutana sila sa ilang agalon, ‘Ibton ba namo ang mga sagbot?’ 29 Mitubag ang ilang agalon, ‘Ayaw lang, kay basig maibot ug apil ang mga tanom. 30 Pasagdi lang ninyo hangtod nga moabot ang ting-ani. Sa ting-ani sugoon ko ang mga mag-aani nga unahon pagpangibot ang mga sagbot ug bugkoson aron sunogon. Pagkahuman, ipatigom ko kanila ang inani ngadto sa akong bodega.’ ”
Ang Sambingay bahin sa Binhi sa Mustasa
(Mar. 4:30-32; Luc. 13:18-19)
31 Gisultihan usab niya sila niini nga sambingay, “Ang paghari sa Dios sama sa binhi sa mustasa[d] nga gipugas sa usa ka tawo sa iyang yuta. 32 Ang binhi sa mustasa mao ang labing gamay sa tanan nga binhi. Apan kon motubo na gani, kini mao ang labing taas sa mga utanon, ug sama na sa kahoy ang iyang katas-on. Bisan gani ang mga langgam makasalag diha sa iyang mga sanga.”
Ang Sambingay bahin sa Patubo sa Pan
(Luc. 13:20-21)
33 Gisultihan na usab niya sila sa lain pa nga sambingay, “Ang paghari sa Dios nahisama usab sa patubo nga gisagol sa usa ka palanggana nga harina, ug gimasa sa babaye, ug mitubo ang tibuok niya nga minasa.”
Nganong Sambingay ang Gigamit ni Jesus sa Pagpanudlo?
(Mar. 4:33-34)
34 Gipaagi ni Jesus sa mga sambingay ang iyang mga pagpanudlo mahitungod sa paghari sa Dios. Wala siyay gisulti nga wala niya ipaagi sa sambingay. 35 Katumanan kini sa giingon sa Dios pinaagi sa iyang propeta:
“Mosulti ako pinaagi sa mga sambingay.
Isulti ko ang mga butang nga wala pa gayod mahibaloi sukad pa sa pagbuhat sa kalibotan.”[e]
Gipasabot ni Jesus ang Kahulogan sa Sambingay bahin sa Sagbot
36 Human niadto gibiyaan ni Jesus ang mga tawo ug misulod siya sa balay. Misulod usab didto ang iyang mga tinun-an ug nangutana kaniya, “Sultihi kami kon unsa ang kahulogan sa sambingay mahitungod sa sagbot.” 37 Miingon siya, “Ang tawo nga nagsabwag sa maayo nga binhi walay lain kondili ako nga Anak sa Tawo. 38 Ang yuta nga gisabwagan mao ang kalibotan. Ang maayo nga binhi mao ang mga tawo nga nagapasakop sa paghari sa Dios. Ug ang mga sagbot mao ang mga tawo nga sakop ni Satanas. 39 Si Satanas mao ang kaaway nga nagsabwag sa mga sagbot. Ang ting-ani mao ang kataposan sa kalibotan, ug ang mga mag-aani mao ang mga anghel. 40 Sama nga ang mga sagbot ibton ug unya sunogon mao usab unya ang mahitabo sa kataposan sa kalibotan. 41 Ako nga Anak sa Tawo magpadala sa akong mga anghel aron tigomon ug pagawason gikan sa akong gingharian ang tanan nga nagabuhat ug daota nga nahimong hinungdan sa pagpakasala sa uban. 42 Ug itambog sila ngadto sa kalayo sa impiyerno. Ug didto maghilak sila ug magkagot ang ilang mga ngipon. 43 Ang mga matarong mosidlak sama sa adlaw didto sa gingharian sa ilang Amahan. Kinahanglan sabton gayod ninyo kining inyong nadungog!”
Ang Sambingay bahin sa Bahandi nga Gilubong
44 “Ang paghari sa Dios nahisama usab sa bahandi nga gilubong sa yuta nga nakaplagan sa usa ka tawo. Ang iyang gibuhat, gitabonan niya kini pag-usab, ug unya mipauli siya nga malipayon. Gibaligya niya ang tanan niyang kabtangan ug unya gipalit niya kadto nga yuta.”
Ang Sambingay bahin sa Perlas
45 “Ang paghari sa Dios nahisama usab sa usa ka negosyante nga nangita ug mga maanindot nga perlas. 46 Sa pagkakita niya sa mahalon kaayo nga perlas, mipauli siya ug gibaligya ang tanan niyang kabtangan ug unya gipalit niya kadto nga perlas.”
Ang Sambingay bahin sa Pukot
47 “Ang paghari sa Dios nahisama usab sa pukot nga gitaktak didto sa dagat, ug nagkalain-lain ang mga isda nga nakuha. 48 Sa dihang daghan na ang isda sulod sa pukot gibira kini ngadto sa daplin. Unya nanglingkod ang mga mangingisda aron mamili. Ang maayo nga mga isda gibutang nila sa mga bukag, apan ang mga dili maayo nga mga isda gipanglabay nila. 49 Sama usab niini ang mahitabo sa kataposan sa kalibotan. Moabot dinhi ang mga anghel aron ilain ang mga tawo nga daotan gikan sa mga tawo nga matarong. 50 Ug ang mga tawo nga daotan itambog ngadto sa kalayo sa impiyerno. Maghilak sila ug magkagot ang ilang mga ngipon.”
51 Unya nangutana si Jesus kanila, “Nasabtan ba ninyo ang tanan ko nga gipanulti?” Mitubag sila, “Oo.” 52 Midugang pag-ingon si Jesus, “Busa ang matag magtutudlo nga daghan ug natun-an mahitungod sa paghari sa Dios nahisama sa tagbalay nga daghan ug kabtangan sa iyang tipiganan. Kay dili lang ang mga daan ang iyang itudlo kondili hasta usab ang mga bag-o.”
Gisalikway si Jesus didto sa Nazaret
(Mar. 6:1-6; Luc. 4:16-30)
53-54 Human nagtudlo si Jesus niining mga sambingay, miadto siya sa iyang lungsod. Nagtudlo siya didto sa sulod sa sinagoga sa mga Judio. Natingala ang mga nakadungog sa iyang mga gipanudlo. Ug nagpangutan-anay sila, “Asa ba siya nakakuha niana nga kaalam ug gahom sa pagbuhat ug mga milagro? 55 Dili ba anak ra man siya sa panday? Dili ba si Maria man ang iyang inahan ug ang mga igsoon niya mao sila si Santiago, Jose, Simon, ug Judas? 56 Dili ba dinhi man nagpuyo ang tanan niyang mga igsoong babaye? Asa ba siya nakakuha niining tanan?” 57 Busa dili gayod sila motuo kaniya. Miingon si Jesus kanila, “Ang propeta tinahod bisan asa gawas lang diha sa iyang kaugalingon nga lungsod ug panimalay.” 58 Busa wala si Jesus magbuhat ug daghang mga milagro didto tungod kay dili sila motuo kaniya.

13 Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.
14 And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive:
15 For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.
16 But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear.
17 For verily I say unto you, That many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.
18 Hear ye therefore the parable of the sower.
19 When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side.
20 But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it;
21 Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended.
22 He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.
23 But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.
24 Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field:
25 But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.
26 But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also.
27 So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares?
28 He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up?
29 But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them.
30 Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.
31 Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is like to a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field:
32 Which indeed is the least of all seeds: but when it is grown, it is the greatest among herbs, and becometh a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in the branches thereof.
33 Another parable spake he unto them; The kingdom of heaven is like unto leaven, which a woman took, and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened.
34 All these things spake Jesus unto the multitude in parables; and without a parable spake he not unto them:
35 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world.
36 Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his disciples came unto him, saying, Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field.
37 He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man;
38 The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one;
39 The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.
40 As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world.
41 The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;
42 And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
43 Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.
44 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.
45 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls:
46 Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.
47 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a net, that was cast into the sea, and gathered of every kind:
48 Which, when it was full, they drew to shore, and sat down, and gathered the good into vessels, but cast the bad away.
49 So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just,
50 And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
51 Jesus saith unto them, Have ye understood all these things? They say unto him, Yea, Lord.
52 Then said he unto them, Therefore every scribe which is instructed unto the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which bringeth forth out of his treasure things new and old.
53 And it came to pass, that when Jesus had finished these parables, he departed thence.
54 And when he was come into his own country, he taught them in their synagogue, insomuch that they were astonished, and said, Whence hath this man this wisdom, and these mighty works?
55 Is not this the carpenter's son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas?
56 And his sisters, are they not all with us? Whence then hath this man all these things?
57 And they were offended in him. But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, save in his own country, and in his own house.
58 And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief.

11 He answered and said to them, “Because (I)it has been given to you to know the [a]mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been given. 12 (J)For whoever has, to him more will be given, and he will have abundance; but whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him. 13 Therefore I speak to them in parables, because seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand. 14 And in them the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled, which says:
(K)‘Hearing you will hear and shall not understand,
And seeing you will see and not (L)perceive;
15 For the hearts of this people have grown dull.
Their ears (M)are hard of hearing,
And their eyes they have (N)closed,
Lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears,
Lest they should understand with their hearts and turn,

16 But (P)blessed are your eyes for they see, and your ears for they hear; 17 for assuredly, I say to you (Q)that many prophets and righteous men desired to see what you see, and did not see it, and to hear what you hear, and did not hear it.
The Parable of the Sower Explained(R)
18 (S)“Therefore hear the parable of the sower: 19 When anyone hears the word (T)of the kingdom, and does not understand it, then the wicked one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart. This is he who received seed by the wayside. 20 But he who received the seed on stony places, this is he who hears the word and immediately (U)receives it with joy; 21 yet he has no root in himself, but endures only for a while. For when (V)tribulation or persecution arises because of the word, immediately (W)he stumbles. 22 Now (X)he who received seed (Y)among the thorns is he who hears the word, and the cares of this world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and he becomes unfruitful. 23 But he who received seed on the good ground is he who hears the word and understands it, who indeed bears (Z)fruit and produces: some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.”

The Parable of the Tares Explained

37 He answered and said to them: “He who sows the good seed is the Son of Man. 38 (AK)The field is the world, the good seeds are the sons of the kingdom, but the tares are (AL)the sons of the wicked one. 39 The enemy who sowed them is the devil, (AM)the harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are the angels. 40 Therefore as the tares are gathered and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of this age. 41 The Son of Man will send out His angels, (AN)and they will gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and those who practice lawlessness, 42 (AO)and will cast them into the furnace of fire. The Parable of the Hidden Treasure
