在拿撒勒被拒绝
6 耶稣离开那地方，来到自己的家乡，他的门徒们也跟着他。 2 到了安息日，他开始在会堂里教导人。许多人听了就惊叹不已，说：“这个人从哪里得来这些呢？赐给这个人的到底是什么样的智慧？藉着他的手所行出来的到底是怎么样的神迹？ 3 这不就是那木匠吗？不就是玛丽亚的儿子，雅各、约西、犹大和西门的哥哥[a]吗？他的妹妹们[b]不也和我们在这里吗？”这样，他们就对耶稣很反感[c]。
4 耶稣对他们说：“先知除了在本乡、本族、本家以外，没有不受尊重的。” 5 所以，耶稣无法在那里行什么神迹，只是按手在几个病人身上，使他们痊愈。 6 因为他们的不信，耶稣十分感慨。
差派十二使徒
于是，他就走遍各村庄四处教导人。 7 耶稣召来十二使徒[d]，开始差派他们两个两个地出去，赐给他们权柄胜过污灵， 8 并且吩咐他们说：“在路上除了手杖什么都不要带。不要带食物，不要带行囊，腰包里也不要带钱。 9 要穿上鞋子。不要穿两件衣服[e]。” 10 他又对他们说：“无论在哪里，你们进了一家，就要住在哪里，直到离开那地方。 11 如果有什么地方的人不接受你们，也不听你们，你们离开那里的时候，要把脚底的尘土跺掉，做为对他们的见证。[f]”
12 使徒们就出去宣讲道：人人都当悔改。 13 他们驱赶了很多鬼魔，又用油来膏抹许多病人，使他们痊愈。
施洗约翰之死
14 耶稣的名声被传扬出去，希律王也听见了。有些人[g]说：“施洗者[h]约翰从死人中复活了，所以这些能力在他里面做工。” 15 也有些人说：“他是以利亚。”还有些人说：“他是个先知，像古代[i]先知中的一位。”
16 但希律听了却说：“是被我砍了头的约翰！这个人[j]复活了！” 17 原来，希律为了他弟弟[k]菲利普的妻子希罗迪娅的缘故，曾经派人去拘捕约翰，把他捆锁在监狱里。希律娶了这个女人， 18 而约翰一直对希律说：“你占有自己兄弟的妻子是不可以的。” 19 所以希罗迪娅对约翰怀恨在心，想要杀他，只是不能。 20 这是因为希律敬畏约翰，知道他是义人，是圣人，所以保护着他。希律听约翰讲说的时候，虽然心里十分困惑[l]，还是乐意听他的。
21 可是时机来了。希律在自己生日那天预备宴席，招待他的大臣和军官们，以及加利利的首领们。 22 希罗迪娅的女儿[m]进来跳舞，使希律和一同坐席的人都非常喜悦。王就对女孩说：“你无论想要什么，向我求，我就会给你。” 23 并且对她郑重地起誓：“你无论向我求什么，即使是我国家的一半，我也会给你！”
24 于是女孩出去问她母亲说：“我应该要什么呢？”
她母亲说：“要施洗者[n]约翰的头！”
25 女孩随即赶快进到王那里，要求说：“我愿王立即把施洗者[o]约翰的头放在盘子里给我。”
26 王就变得很忧愁，但因所起的誓，又因坐席的人，就不好拒绝她。 27 于是王立刻派了刽子手，命令把约翰的头拿来。刽子手就去，在监狱里砍下了约翰的头， 28 把他的头放在盘子上，端给女孩，女孩就把它交给了母亲。 29 约翰的门徒们听到了，就来把他的遗体领去，安放在坟墓里。
五饼二鱼
30 使徒们聚集到耶稣那里，把他们所做的和教导的一切告诉了他。 31 耶稣对他们说：“来，你们自己单独到一个荒僻的地方休息一会儿吧。”这是因为来往的人多，他们连吃饭的时间也没有。 32 于是他们悄悄地坐船出发，往一个荒僻的地方去。 33 可是众人[p]看见他们离开了，并且有许多人认出他们[q]，就从各城镇一起徒步赶往那里，而且比他们先到了[r]。 34 耶稣下了船，看见一大群人，就对他们动了怜悯之心，因为他们像羊没有牧人那样。耶稣就开始教导他们很多事。
35 天已经晚了，他的门徒们来到耶稣面前，说：“这是个荒僻的地方，而且天已经晚了。 36 请遣散大家，好让他们到周围的田舍和村庄去，为自己买些东西吃[s]。”
37 但耶稣回答他们，说：“你们给他们吃的吧。”
门徒们说：“要我们去买两百个银币[t]的饼给他们吃吗？”
38 耶稣问他们：“你们有多少饼呢？去看看。”
他们察看后，就说：“有五个，还有两条鱼。”
39 耶稣吩咐他们，叫众人一组一组地坐在青草地上。 40 众人就一群一群地坐了下来，有的一百人，有的五十人。 41 耶稣拿起这五个饼和两条鱼，抬头望天，祝福了，然后把饼掰开，不断递给他的门徒们，让他们分给众人。他把两条鱼也分给大家。 42 大家都吃了，并且吃饱了。 43 他们把饼和鱼的碎块收拾起来，装满了十二个篮子。 44 吃饼的人，男人就有五千。
在水面上行走
45 耶稣随即催促他的门徒们上船，要他们先往对岸的伯赛达去；这期间，他自己遣散了人群。 46 他告别了他们，就上山去祷告。 47 到了晚上，船在湖[u]中，只有耶稣一个人在岸上。 48 他看见门徒们由于逆风，划船非常艰苦。天快亮的时候[v]，耶稣在湖面上行走，向他们而去，想要从他们旁边走过去。 49 门徒们看见耶稣在湖面上行走，以为是幽灵，于是喊叫起来， 50 因为他们都看见了他，就惊慌不安。耶稣立刻与他们讲话，对他们说：“鼓起勇气吧！是我，不要怕。” 51 接着，耶稣上了船和他们在一起。这时候风就停了。门徒们心里感到极其惊讶[w]， 52 因为他们不领悟分[x]饼的事，他们还是硬着心。
在革尼撒勒治病
53 他们渡过去，到革尼撒勒上岸，把船拴好。 54 一下船，众人就认出了耶稣。 55 人们跑遍那整个地区，听到耶稣在哪里，就把有病的人用垫子抬到哪里。 56 无论耶稣进到哪里，或村庄、或城镇、或乡下，人们就把病人放在街市上，恳求耶稣只要让他们摸一下他的衣服穗子。凡是摸着的人，都得了救治。

A Prophet Without Honor
6 Jesus left there and went to his hometown. His disciples followed him. 2 When the Sabbath came, he began to teach in the synagogue. Many who heard him were amazed. They asked, “Where did this man learn these things? What is this wisdom that has been given to this man? How is it that miracles such as these are performed by his hands? 3 Isn’t this the carpenter, the son of Mary and the brother of James, Joses, Judas, and Simon? And aren’t his sisters here with us?” And they took offense at him.
4 Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor except in his hometown and among his own relatives and in his own house.” 5 He could not do any miracles there except to lay his hands on a few sick people and heal them. 6 He was amazed at their unbelief. Then he went around the villages teaching.
Jesus Sends Out the Twelve
7 Jesus called the Twelve and began to send them out two by two. He gave them authority over the unclean spirits. 8 He instructed them to take nothing for their journey except a staff—no bread, no bag, no money in their money belts. 9 They were to put on sandals but not to wear two coats. 10 He said to them, “Wherever you enter a house, stay there until you leave that area. 11 Any place that will not receive you or listen to you, as you leave there, shake off the dust that is under your feet as a testimony against them.”
12 They went out and preached that people should repent. 13 They also drove out many demons. They anointed many sick people with oil and healed them.
Recalling the Death of John the Baptizer
14 King Herod heard about this because Jesus’ name had become well known. Herod was saying, “John the Baptizer has been raised from the dead! That is why these powers are at work in him.”
15 But others were saying, “He is Elijah.” Still others were saying, “He is a prophet, like one of the prophets of old.”
16 When Herod heard this, he said, “This is John, the man I beheaded. He was raised.” 17 For it was Herod who had sent men to arrest John. He had him bound in prison because Herod had married Herodias, the wife of his brother Philip. 18 Indeed, John had been telling him, “It is not lawful for you to have your brother’s wife.”
19 Herodias held a grudge against John and wanted to put him to death, but she could not, 20 because Herod feared John. He knew that John was a righteous and holy man, so he kept him safe. When Herod listened to John, he was perplexed in many ways, yet he gladly kept listening to him.
21 An opportune day came when it was Herod’s birthday. He gave a banquet for his nobles, the military officers, and the prominent men of Galilee. 22 When the daughter of Herodias came in and danced, she pleased Herod and his guests. The king said to the girl, “Ask me whatever you want, and I will give it to you.” 23 With an oath he promised her, “Whatever you ask of me, I will give you, up to half of my kingdom.”
24 She went out and said to her mother, “What should I ask for?”
Herodias said, “The head of John the Baptizer.”
25 The girl hurried right back to the king and made her request: “I want you to give me the head of John the Baptist on a platter right now.”
26 The king was very sad. But because of his oaths and his dinner guests, he did not want to refuse her. 27 The king sent an executioner at once and ordered him to bring John’s head. He went, beheaded John in prison, 28 brought his head on a platter, and gave it to the girl. Then the girl gave it to her mother.
29 When John’s disciples heard about this, they came and took his body and laid it in a tomb.
Jesus Feeds More Than Five Thousand
30 The apostles gathered around Jesus and reported to him all that they had done and taught. 31 He said to them, “Come away by yourselves to a secluded place and rest a while.” For there were so many people coming and going that they did not even have a chance to eat. 32 They went away in the boat to a deserted place by themselves. 33 But many people saw them leave and knew where they were going. They ran there on foot from all the towns and arrived ahead of them. 34 When Jesus stepped out of the boat, he saw a large crowd. His heart went out to them because they were like sheep without a shepherd. He began to teach them many things. 35 It was already late in the day when his disciples came to him and said, “This is a deserted place and it is already very late. 36 Send them away so they can go into the surrounding country and villages and buy themselves something to eat.”
37 But he answered them, “You give them something to eat.”
They asked him, “Should we go and buy two hundred denarii[a] worth of bread and give them something to eat?”
38 He said to them, “How many loaves do you have? Go see.”
When they found out, they said, “Five, and two fish.”
39 He directed everyone to sit down in groups on the green grass. 40 They sat down in groups of hundreds and fifties. 41 Jesus took the five loaves and the two fish, looked up to heaven, and blessed the loaves and broke them. Then he kept giving pieces to his disciples to set in front of them. He also divided the two fish among them all. 42 They all ate and were satisfied. 43 Then they picked up twelve basketfuls of broken pieces of bread and fish. 44 There were five thousand men who ate the loaves.
Jesus Walks on Water
45 Immediately Jesus made his disciples get into the boat and go ahead to the other side, to Bethsaida, while he himself dismissed the crowd. 46 After he had sent them off, he went up the mountain to pray.
47 When it was evening, the boat was in the middle of the sea, and Jesus was alone on the land. 48 He saw them straining at the oars, because the wind was against them. About the fourth watch of the night,[b] he went to them, walking on the sea. He was ready to pass by them. 49 When they saw him walking on the sea, they thought he was a ghost, and they cried out. 50 They all saw him and were terrified. Immediately he spoke with them and said, “Take courage! It is I.[c] Do not be afraid.” 51 Then he climbed up into the boat with them, and the wind stopped. They were completely amazed, 52 because they had not understood about the loaves. Instead, their hearts were hardened.
53 When they had crossed over, they landed at Gennesaret and anchored there. 54 As soon as they stepped out of the boat, people recognized Jesus. 55 They ran around that whole region and began to bring sick people on their stretchers to where they heard he was. 56 Wherever he entered villages, cities, or the countryside, they were laying sick people in the marketplaces and pleading with him that they might just touch the edge of his garment. And all who touched it were made well.

6 Đức Giê-su rời khỏi nơi đó trở về quê hương, các môn đệ cùng theo Ngài. 2 Đến ngày Sa-bát, Ngài bắt đầu giảng dạy trong hội đường, nhiều người nghe Ngài giảng nên ngạc nhiên hỏi: “Nhờ đâu ông này được như vậy? Sao ông ấy sáng suốt đến thế? Sao ông ấy có thể làm được những phép lạ như vậy? 3 Ông này chẳng phải là người thợ mộc, con trai bà Ma-ri, anh em với Gia-cơ, Giô-sép, Giu-đa và Si-môn sao? Các em ông ấy chẳng ở giữa vòng chúng ta đây sao?” Vì thế họ bực tức với Ngài.

15 Một số khác bảo: “Đấy là Ê-li,” một số khác nữa nói: “Đây là một tiên tri cũng như các tiên tri của Chúa.”
16 Nhưng khi nghe vậy, vua Hê-rốt bảo rằng: “Đây chính là Giăng mà ta đã truyền chém, nay sống lại.”
17 Số là vua Hê-rốt đã sai bắt Giăng xiềng vào ngục, vì cớ Hê-rô-đia, vợ của Phi-líp, em vua và vua đã cưới nàng. 18 Vì Giăng đã can vua không nên lấy Hê-rô-đia, vợ Phi-líp, em mình, một việc làm trái luật. 19 Nên bà Hê-rô-đia căm giận muốn giết Giăng nhưng không làm gì được. 20 Vì vua Hê-rốt sợ Giăng, biết ông là người chính trực và thánh thiện, nên tìm cách bảo vệ ông. Vua rất thích nghe lời Giăng, dù mỗi khi nghe, Vua thường bối rối.
21 Thời cơ đã đến: Nhân lễ sinh nhật, vua Hê-rốt mở tiệc thết triều thần, bá quan văn võ và các thân hào, nhân sĩ miền Ga-li-lê. 22 Con gái bà Hê-rô-đia vào trình diễn một vũ khúc làm vua Hê-rốt và các khách dự tiệc say mê, nên vua bảo nàng rằng: “Con muốn gì, cứ xin trẫm sẽ ban cho.” 23 Vua lại còn thề: “Con xin gì trẫm cũng ban, dù cả nửa giang san cũng được.”
24 Cô gái liền ra hỏi mẹ: “Con nên xin gì đây?” Mẹ cô bảo: “Cái đầu của Giăng Báp-tít.”
25 Cô gái vội vã trở vào, tâu với vua: “Xin bệ hạ cái đầu của Giăng Báp-tít để trên mâm.”
26 Vua rất buồn, nhưng đã lỡ thề trước mặt quan khách nên không thể từ chối. 27 Vua liền sai một đao phủ, truyền đem đầu Giăng đến. Người ấy vào ngục chém đầu Giăng, 28 rồi để đầu trên mâm mà đem cho cô gái, và cô gái trao lại cho mẹ. 29 Hay tin ấy, các môn đệ của Giăng đến lấy thi hài người về chôn cất.
Chúa Hóa Bánh Cho Năm Ngàn Người Ăn(D)
30 Các sứ đồ nhóm họp cùng Đức Giê-su và tường trình cho Ngài mọi điều họ đã thực hiện và dạy. 31 Ngài bảo họ rằng: “Các con hãy lui vào nơi thanh vắng để nghỉ ngơi một chút.” Vì kẻ đi người lại đông đúc, đến nỗi họ không có thì giờ ăn uống.
32 Ngài và các môn đệ lên thuyền đi đến một nơi thanh vắng. 33 Nhiều người thấy vậy và nhận biết chỗ đó nên từ các thành thị kéo nhau chạy bộ tới trước. 34 Vừa ra khỏi thuyền, Ngài thấy đoàn dân đông đúc thì động lòng thương xót, vì họ như chiên không có người chăn. Ngài bắt đầu dạy họ nhiều điều.
35 Trời đã xế chiều, các môn đệ đến thưa với Ngài rằng: “Đây là nơi vắng vẻ và đã gần tối, 36 xin Thầy cho dân chúng về để họ vào các làng xóm quanh đây mua gì để ăn.”
37 Nhưng Ngài đáp: “Chính các con hãy cho họ ăn.” Môn đệ thưa: “Chúng con phải đi mua đến hai trăm đồng đê-na-ri[c] bánh cho họ ăn sao?”
38 Ngài bảo: “Các con đi xem thử ở đây có bao nhiêu bánh?” Khi đã xem xét xong, họ thưa: “Có năm cái bánh và hai con cá.”
39 Ngài truyền cho các môn đệ bảo dân chúng ngồi thành từng nhóm trên cỏ xanh. 40 Họ ngồi xuống từng nhóm, nhóm thì một trăm, nhóm thì năm mươi. 41 Đức Giê-su cầm năm cái bánh và hai con cá, ngước mắt lên trời, cảm tạ Đức Chúa Trời rồi bẻ bánh đưa cho các môn đệ để phân phát cho dân chúng, Ngài cũng chia hai con cá cho mọi người. 42 Ai nấy đều ăn no nê. 43 Bánh và cá còn thừa đựng đầy mười hai giỏ. 44 Trong số người ăn có khoảng năm ngàn người đàn ông.
Chúa Đi Trên Mặt Biển(E)
45 Đức Giê-su liền truyền cho các môn đệ lên thuyền, qua phía thành Bết-sai-đa trước, rồi Ngài giải tán dân chúng. 46 Khi họ đã ra về, Ngài lên núi cầu nguyện.
47 Tối đến, thuyền ra giữa biển, còn một mình Ngài trên bờ. 48 Ngài thấy các môn đệ chèo chống vất vả vì gió ngược. Khoảng bốn giờ sáng đêm ấy Ngài đi bộ trên mặt biển đến cùng họ và định vượt qua họ. 49 Các môn đệ thấy Ngài đi trên mặt biển thì tưởng là ma nên kêu la thất thanh, 50 vì ai nấy đều trông thấy và hoảng sợ.
Nhưng Ngài liền bảo họ: “Hãy yên tâm, Ta đây, đừng sợ!” 51 Ngài vừa bước lên thuyền với họ thì gió lặng yên. Mọi người đều kinh ngạc, 52 vì họ vẫn không hiểu phép lạ hóa bánh và lòng họ còn cứng cỏi.
Chúa Chữa Bệnh Tại Ghê-nê-sa-rết(F)
53 Qua bờ bên kia, Đức Giê-su và các môn đệ cặp bến Ghê-nê-sa-rết. 54 Vừa ra khỏi thuyền, dân chúng đã nhận biết Ngài. 55 Họ chạy ngược xuôi khắp vùng, hễ nghe Ngài ở đâu thì khiêng những người bệnh nằm trên cáng đến đó. 56 Bất cứ nơi nào Ngài đến, dù làng mạc, thành phố hay thôn quê, người ta đều đem người bệnh lại các khu họp chợ và nài xin Ngài cho họ chỉ sờ vào gấu áo Ngài. Bao nhiêu người sờ đến Ngài, đều được lành cả.

Isn’t this Mary’s son and the brother of James, Joseph,[a] Judas and Simon?(F) Aren’t his sisters here with us?” And they took offense at him.(G)
4 Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor except in his own town, among his relatives and in his own home.”(H) 5 He could not do any miracles there, except lay his hands on(I) a few sick people and heal them. 6 He was amazed at their lack of faith.

But she was not able to, 20 because Herod feared John and protected him, knowing him to be a righteous and holy man.(Z) When Herod heard John, he was greatly puzzled[c]; yet he liked to listen to him.
21 Finally the opportune time came. On his birthday Herod gave a banquet(AA) for his high officials and military commanders and the leading men of Galilee.(AB) 22 When the daughter of[d] Herodias came in and danced, she pleased Herod and his dinner guests.
The king said to the girl, “Ask me for anything you want, and I’ll give it to you.” 23 And he promised her with an oath, “Whatever you ask I will give you, up to half my kingdom.”(AC)
24 She went out and said to her mother, “What shall I ask for?”
“The head of John the Baptist,” she answered.
25 At once the girl hurried in to the king with the request: “I want you to give me right now the head of John the Baptist on a platter.”
26 The king was greatly distressed, but because of his oaths and his dinner guests, he did not want to refuse her. 27 So he immediately sent an executioner with orders to bring John’s head. The man went, beheaded John in the prison, 28 and brought back his head on a platter. He presented it to the girl, and she gave it to her mother. 29 On hearing of this, John’s disciples came and took his body and laid it in a tomb.
Jesus Feeds the Five Thousand(AD)(AE)
30 The apostles(AF) gathered around Jesus and reported to him all they had done and taught.(AG) 31 Then, because so many people were coming and going that they did not even have a chance to eat,(AH) he said to them, “Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest.”
32 So they went away by themselves in a boat(AI) to a solitary place. 33 But many who saw them leaving recognized them and ran on foot from all the towns and got there ahead of them. 34 When Jesus landed and saw a large crowd, he had compassion on them, because they were like sheep without a shepherd.(AJ) So he began teaching them many things.
35 By this time it was late in the day, so his disciples came to him. “This is a remote place,” they said, “and it’s already very late. 36 Send the people away so that they can go to the surrounding countryside and villages and buy themselves something to eat.”
37 But he answered, “You give them something to eat.”(AK)
They said to him, “That would take more than half a year’s wages[e]! Are we to go and spend that much on bread and give it to them to eat?”
38 “How many loaves do you have?” he asked. “Go and see.”
When they found out, they said, “Five—and two fish.”(AL)
39 Then Jesus directed them to have all the people sit down in groups on the green grass. 40 So they sat down in groups of hundreds and fifties. 41 Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, he gave thanks and broke the loaves.(AM) Then he gave them to his disciples to distribute to the people. He also divided the two fish among them all. 42 They all ate and were satisfied, 43 and the disciples picked up twelve basketfuls of broken pieces of bread and fish. 44 The number of the men who had eaten was five thousand.
Jesus Walks on the Water(AN)(AO)
45 Immediately Jesus made his disciples get into the boat(AP) and go on ahead of him to Bethsaida,(AQ) while he dismissed the crowd. 46 After leaving them, he went up on a mountainside to pray.(AR)
47 Later that night, the boat was in the middle of the lake, and he was alone on land. 48 He saw the disciples straining at the oars, because the wind was against them. Shortly before dawn he went out to them, walking on the lake. He was about to pass by them, 49 but when they saw him walking on the lake, they thought he was a ghost.(AS) They cried out, 50 because they all saw him and were terrified.
Immediately he spoke to them and said, “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.”(AT) 51 Then he climbed into the boat(AU) with them, and the wind died down.(AV) They were completely amazed, 52 for they had not understood about the loaves; their hearts were hardened.(AW)
53 When they had crossed over, they landed at Gennesaret and anchored there.(AX) 54 As soon as they got out of the boat, people recognized Jesus. 55 They ran throughout that whole region and carried the sick on mats to wherever they heard he was. 56 And wherever he went—into villages, towns or countryside—they placed the sick in the marketplaces. They begged him to let them touch even the edge of his cloak,(AY) and all who touched it were healed.
