2 耶穌禁食了四十晝夜，後來就餓了。 3 那試探者前來對他說：「你如果是神的兒子，就吩咐這些石頭變成食物吧！」
4 耶穌回答說：「經上記著：
『人活著不是單靠食物，
而是靠神口裡所出的每一句話。』[a]」
