基督的先驅

1 神的兒子耶穌基督福音的開始[a]。 2 正如先知以賽亞[b]書上所記載的：

「看哪，我要差派我的使者在你前頭，
他要[c]預備你的道[d]。
3 在曠野有聲音呼喊著：
『你們當預備主的道，
當修直[e]他的路！』[f]」

4 於是約翰就來了。他在曠野施洗[g]，並宣講為罪得赦免而悔改的洗禮。 5 全猶太地區和整個耶路撒冷的人，都出來到他那裡，承認自己的罪孽，在約旦河裡受他的洗禮[h]。 6 約翰穿的是駱駝毛的衣服[i]，腰束皮帶，吃的是蝗蟲和野蜜。 7 他宣講，說：「在我之後，有一位比我更強有力的要來。我就是彎腰為他解鞋帶也不配。 8 我用水[j]給你們施洗，但他要用聖靈給你們施洗。」

耶穌受洗

9 在那些日子裡，耶穌從加利利的拿撒勒來，在約旦河裡受約翰的洗禮[k]。 10 耶穌一從水裡上來，就看見諸天裂開了，聖靈好像鴿子降臨在他身上。 11 這時候，有聲音從諸天傳來，說：

「你是我的愛子，
我喜悅你。」

耶穌受試探

12 聖靈立刻催促耶穌到曠野裡去。 13 他在曠野裡四十天，受撒旦的試探。他與野獸在一起，並有天使們伺候他。

在加利利的服事

14 約翰被逮捕以後，耶穌來到加利利，傳神的[l]福音， 15 說：「日期滿了，神的國近了！你們應當悔改，相信福音！」

第一批門徒

16 耶穌從加利利湖邊[m]經過[n]，看見西門和他弟弟[o]安得烈，正在湖裡撒網；他們本來是漁夫。

17 耶穌就對他們說：「來跟從我！我將要使你們成為得人的漁夫。」 18 他們立刻捨棄漁網，跟從了耶穌。 19 稍往前走，耶穌看見西庇太的兒子雅各和他弟弟約翰。他們正在船上修補漁網。 20 耶穌隨即召喚他們。他們就離開了在船上的父親西庇太和雇工們，並且跟著耶穌去了。

驅趕汙靈

21 他們來到迦百農。安息日一到，耶穌就進了會堂教導人。 22 眾人對耶穌的教導都驚嘆不已，因為他教導他們，就像有權柄的人，不像經文士們。

23 忽然[p]，在他們的會堂裡，有一個被汙靈附身的人喊叫， 24 說：「[q]拿撒勒人耶穌，我們與你有什麼關係？你來毀滅我們嗎？我知道你是誰，你是神的那位聖者。」

25 耶穌斥責汙靈說：「住口！從這個人裡面出來！」 26 汙靈使那個人抽瘋，然後大聲喊叫著從他裡面出來了。

27 結果大家都驚訝不已，彼此談論說：「這是怎麼回事？！一個帶有權柄的新的教導！他命令汙靈[r]，汙靈就都聽從他！」 28 於是耶穌的消息很快地傳遍了加利利周圍所有的地區。

在迦百農治病

29 他們從會堂出來，隨即到西門和安得烈的家去，雅各和約翰也一起去。 30 西門的岳母正發燒躺著，他們立刻把她的事告訴耶穌。 31 耶穌上前去，握著她的手，扶她起來，燒就[s]退了。於是她就服事他們。

32 到了傍晚，日落的時候，人們帶著所有患病的、有鬼魔附身的，到耶穌那裡去。 33 全城的人都聚集在門前。 34 耶穌就使許多患有各種疾病的人痊癒，又驅趕了很多鬼魔。他不准鬼魔說話，因為那些鬼魔知道他是誰。

在加利利傳道

35 大清早，天還沒亮，耶穌就起來，走出去，到一個荒僻的地方，在那裡禱告。 36 西門和那些與他在一起的人去尋找耶穌， 37 找到了，就對他說：「大家都在找你呢！」

38 耶穌對他們說：「我們往別的地方去，[t]到鄰近的鄉村去吧。我也好在那裡傳道，因為我是為此而來的。」 39 於是耶穌在全加利利往來[u]，在他們的會堂裡傳道，並且驅趕鬼魔。

潔淨痲瘋病人

40 有一個痲瘋病人來到耶穌面前，跪下來[v]懇求他說：「如果你願意，你就能潔淨我。」

41 耶穌動了憐憫之心，就伸出手來摸他，說：「我願意，你潔淨了吧！」 42 痲瘋病立刻離開他，他就被潔淨了。 43 耶穌當下催他離開，並嚴厲地告誡他， 44 說：「你要注意，對任何人都不要說什麼，只要去把自己給祭司看，並且為了你的潔淨，獻上摩西所吩咐的祭物，好對他們做見證。」 45 但那個人一出去，就開始大加宣揚，把這件事傳開了，結果耶穌不能再公開進城，只好留在外面荒僻的地方。可是人們還是從各處來到他那裡。

The Messiah’s Herald

1 The beginning(A) of the gospel(B) of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.[a](C) 2 As it is written in Isaiah(D) the prophet:[b](E)

See, I am sending my messenger(F) ahead of you;
he will prepare your way.[c][d](G)
3 A voice of one crying out in the wilderness:(H)
Prepare the way for the Lord;(I)
make his paths straight![e](J)

4 John came baptising[f](K) in the wilderness(L) and proclaiming a baptism of repentance(M) for the forgiveness(N) of sins.(O) 5 The whole Judean countryside and all the people of Jerusalem(P) were going out to him, and they were baptised by him in the River Jordan,(Q) confessing(R) their sins.(S) 6 John wore a camel-hair garment with a leather belt round his waist and ate locusts(T) and wild honey.(U)

7 He proclaimed, ‘One who is more powerful(V) than I am is coming after me.(W) I am not worthy(X) to stoop down and untie the strap of his sandals.(Y) 8 I baptise you with[g] water,(Z) but he will baptise you with the Holy Spirit.’(AA)

The Baptism of Jesus

9 In(AB) those days Jesus came from Nazareth(AC) in Galilee(AD) and was baptised in the Jordan by John. 10 As soon as he came up out of the water, he saw the heavens(AE) being torn open and the Spirit descending on him like a dove. 11 And a voice(AF) came from heaven:(AG) ‘You are my beloved(AH) Son;(AI) with you I am well-pleased.’(AJ)

The Temptation of Jesus

12 Immediately(AK) the Spirit(AL) drove(AM) him into the wilderness.(AN) 13 He was in the wilderness for forty days, being tempted(AO) by Satan.(AP) He was with the wild animals,(AQ) and the angels(AR) were serving him.

Ministry in Galilee

14 After(AS) John was arrested,(AT) Jesus went to Galilee,(AU) proclaiming(AV) the good news[h][i](AW) of God:(AX) 15 ‘The time(AY) is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God(AZ) has come(BA) near.(BB) Repent(BC) and believe(BD) the good news! ’

The First Disciples

16 As(BE) he passed alongside the Sea of Galilee,(BF) he saw Simon(BG) and Andrew,(BH) Simon’s brother, casting a net into the sea(BI) – for they were fishermen. 17 ‘Follow me,’(BJ) Jesus told them, ‘and I will make you fish for[j](BK) people.’(BL) 18 Immediately they left their nets and followed(BM) him.(BN) 19 Going on a little further, he saw James(BO) the son of Zebedee(BP) and his brother John(BQ) in a boat putting their nets in order. 20 Immediately he called them, and they left their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired men and followed him.(BR)

Driving Out an Unclean Spirit

21 They(BS) went into Capernaum,(BT) and straight away he entered the synagogue(BU) on the Sabbath(BV) and began to teach.(BW) 22 They were astonished(BX) at his teaching(BY) because he was teaching them as one who had authority, and not like the scribes.

23 Just then a man with an unclean(BZ) spirit(CA) was in their synagogue.(CB) He cried out, 24 ‘What do you have to do with us, Jesus of Nazareth?(CC) Have you come to destroy(CD) us? I know who you are – the Holy(CE) One of God! ’(CF)

25 Jesus rebuked(CG) him saying, ‘Be silent,(CH) and come out of him! ’ 26 And the unclean spirit threw him into convulsions,(CI) shouted with a loud voice, and came out of him.

27 They were all amazed,(CJ) and so they began to ask(CK) each other, “What is this? A new teaching(CL) with authority![k](CM) He commands even the unclean(CN) spirits,(CO) and they obey him.’ 28 At once the news about him spread throughout the entire vicinity of Galilee.(CP)

Healings at Capernaum

29 As(CQ) soon as they left the synagogue,(CR) they went into Simon(CS) and Andrew’s(CT) house(CU) with James(CV) and John.(CW) 30 Simon’s mother-in-law was lying in bed with a fever, and they told him about her at once. 31 So he went to her, took her by the hand, and raised her up.(CX) The fever(CY) left her,[l] and she began to serve(CZ) them.(DA)

32 When(DB) evening came, after the sun had set, they brought to him all those who were ill(DC) and demon-possessed.(DD) 33 The whole town was assembled at the door, 34 and he healed(DE) many who were ill with various diseases(DF) and drove out(DG) many demons.(DH) And he would not permit the demons to speak, because they knew him.(DI)

Preaching in Galilee

35 Very(DJ) early in the morning, while it was still dark, he got up, went out, and made his way to a deserted place;(DK) and there he was praying.(DL) 36 Simon(DM) and his companions searched for him, 37 and when they found him they said, ‘Everyone is looking for you.’

38 And he said to them, ‘Let’s go on to the neighbouring villages so that I may preach(DN) there too. This is why I have come.’

A Man Cleansed

39 He went into all of Galilee,(DO) preaching in their synagogues(DP) and driving out demons. 40 Then(DQ) a man with leprosy[m](DR) came to him and, on his knees,[n](DS) begged him, ‘If you are willing, you can make me clean.’(DT) 41 Moved with compassion,[o](DU) Jesus reached out his hand and touched(DV) him. ‘I am willing,’ he told him. ‘Be made clean.’ 42 Immediately the leprosy(DW) left him, and he was made clean. 43 Then he sternly warned(DX) him and sent him away(DY) at once, 44 telling him, ‘See that you say nothing to anyone;(DZ) but go and show(EA) yourself to the priest,(EB) and offer(EC) what Moses commanded for your cleansing,(ED) as a testimony(EE) to them.’[p] 45 Yet he went out and began to proclaim(EF) it widely and to spread the news,(EG) with the result that Jesus could no longer enter a town openly. But he was out in deserted places, and they came to him from everywhere.

«Послухай! Я виряджаю посланця Мого поперед Тебе.
    Він приготує Тобі дорогу».(A)
3 Голос лунає в пустелі:
«Готуйте дорогу Господу,
    зробіть прямим шлях для Нього».(B)

21 Ісус та Його учні прийшли до Капернаума. Наступної суботи Він вирушив до синагоги і навчав людей, котрі зібралися там. 22 Вони були вражені тією наукою, оскільки Він навчав їх як людина, яка має владу, а не як книжники. 23 У той час, коли Ісус знаходився в синагозі, там був присутній чоловік, одержимий нечистим духом. 29 Ісус та всі учні Його залишили синагогу й попрямували до оселі Симона і Андрія. Яків й Іоан пішли разом з ними. 30 Симонова теща лежала в лихоманці, тож люди розповіли про неї Ісусу. 31 Ісус підійшов до неї, взяв її за руку й допоміг підвестися. Лихоманка залишила жінку й вона почала прислуговувати їм.

32 Коли настав вечір, після заходу сонця, до Нього привели багатьох хворих і одержимих нечистим. 33 Усе місто зібралося під дверима. 34 Багатьох недужих на різні хвороби Він зцілив, і з багатьох вигнав демонів. Та говорити тим нечистим духам Ісус не дозволяв, бо вони знали, хто Він такий[d].

Ісус вирушає в інші міста

35 Рано-вранці, до схід сонця, Ісус залишив оселю, усамітнився в безлюдному місці й там молився. 36-37 Симон і ті, хто були з ним, пішли шукати Ісуса й, знайшовши Його, звернулися до Нього: «Всі Тебе шукають». 38 Але Ісус відповів їм: «Нам потрібно йти до інших міст, щоб Я міг проповідувати Божу вість і там, бо саме для цього Я й прийшов». 39 Так Він мандрував Ґалилеєю, проповідуючи в синагогах та виганяючи демонів.

Зцілення прокаженого

(Мт. 8:1-4; Лк. 5:12-16)

40 Одного разу прийшов до Ісуса прокажений і, впавши долілиць перед Ним, благав: «Якщо на те воля Твоя, Ти можеш зцілити мене». 41 Перейнявшись милосердям[e], Ісус простягнув руку, торкнувся прокаженого й сказав: «Моя воля! Зцілися!» 42 Тієї ж миті проказа зійшла з нього і він став чистим. 43 Ісус відіслав його, суворо застерігши при тому: 44 «Дивися ж, нікому не кажи про те, що Я для тебе зробив, а піди й покажися священику[f], та принеси пожертву за своє очищення, як наказував Мойсей[g]. Це й буде свідченням твого одужання».

45 Але той чоловік пішов і почав повсюди розповідати про те, як Ісус зцілив його хворобу. Через те Ісус більше не міг відкрито ввійти у місто, та залишався в безлюдних місцях, але ж люди приходили до Нього звідусіль.

John the Baptist Prepares the Way(A)

1 The beginning of the good news about Jesus the Messiah,[a] the Son of God,[b](B) 2 as it is written in Isaiah the prophet:

“I will send my messenger ahead of you,
    who will prepare your way”[c](C)—
3 “a voice of one calling in the wilderness,
‘Prepare the way for the Lord,
    make straight paths for him.’”[d](D)

4 And so John the Baptist(E) appeared in the wilderness, preaching a baptism of repentance(F) for the forgiveness of sins.(G) 5 The whole Judean countryside and all the people of Jerusalem went out to him. Jesus Announces the Good News(U)

Jesus Calls His First Disciples

16 As Jesus walked beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and his brother Andrew casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen. 17 “Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will send you out to fish for people.” 18 At once they left their nets and followed him.(AB)

19 When he had gone a little farther, he saw James son of Zebedee and his brother John in a boat, preparing their nets. 20 Without delay he called them, and they left their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired men and followed him.

Jesus Drives Out an Impure Spirit(AC)

21 They went to Capernaum, and when the Sabbath came, Jesus went into the synagogue and began to teach.(AD) 22 The people were amazed at his teaching, because he taught them as one who had authority, not as the teachers of the law.(AE) 23 Just then a man in their synagogue who was possessed by an impure spirit cried out, 24 “What do you want with us,(AF) Jesus of Nazareth?(AG) Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are—the Holy One of God!”(AH)

25 “Be quiet!” said Jesus sternly. “Come out of him!”(AI) 26 The impure spirit shook the man violently and came out of him with a shriek.(AJ)

27 The people were all so amazed(AK) that they asked each other, “What is this? A new teaching—and with authority! He even gives orders to impure spirits and they obey him.” 28 News about him spread quickly over the whole region(AL) of Galilee.

Jesus Heals Many(AM)(AN)

29 As soon as they left the synagogue,(AO) they went with James and John to the home of Simon and Andrew. 30 Simon’s mother-in-law was in bed with a fever, and they immediately told Jesus about her. 31 So he went to her, took her hand and helped her up.(AP) The fever left her and she began to wait on them.

32 That evening after sunset the people brought to Jesus all the sick and demon-possessed.(AQ) 33 The whole town gathered at the door, 34 and Jesus healed many who had various diseases.(AR) He also drove out many demons, but he would not let the demons speak because they knew who he was.(AS)

Jesus Prays in a Solitary Place(AT)

35 Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed.(AU) 36 Simon and his companions went to look for him, 37 and when they found him, they exclaimed: “Everyone is looking for you!”

38 Jesus replied, “Let us go somewhere else—to the nearby villages—so I can preach there also. That is why I have come.”(AV) 39 So he traveled throughout Galilee, preaching in their synagogues(AW) and driving out demons.(AX)

Jesus Heals a Man With Leprosy(AY)

40 A man with leprosy[h] came to him and begged him on his knees,(AZ) “If you are willing, you can make me clean.”

41 Jesus was indignant.[i] He reached out his hand and touched the man. “I am willing,” he said. “Be clean!” 42 Immediately the leprosy left him and he was cleansed.

43 Jesus sent him away at once with a strong warning: 44 “See that you don’t tell this to anyone.(BA) But go, show yourself to the priest(BB) and offer the sacrifices that Moses commanded for your cleansing,(BC) as a testimony to them.” 45 Instead he went out and began to talk freely, spreading the news. As a result, Jesus could no longer enter a town openly but stayed outside in lonely places.(BD) Yet the people still came to him from everywhere.(BE)
