上帝是至高的君王(A)
96 你们要向耶和华唱新歌,
普世都要向耶和华歌唱。
2 要向耶和华歌唱,称颂祂的名,
天天传扬祂的拯救之恩。
3 要在列国述说祂的荣耀,
在万民中述说祂的奇妙作为。
4 因为耶和华无比伟大,
当受至高的颂扬;
祂超越一切神明,当受敬畏。
5 列邦的神明都是假的,
唯独耶和华创造了诸天。
6 祂尊贵威严,
祂的圣所充满能力和荣美。
7 万族万民啊,
要把荣耀和能力归给耶和华,
归给耶和华!
8 要把耶和华当得的荣耀归给祂,
要带着祭物到祂的院宇敬拜祂。
9 你们当在圣洁的耶和华面前俯伏敬拜,
大地要在祂面前战抖。
10 要告诉列国:
“耶和华掌权,
祂使大地坚立不摇,
祂必公正地审判万民。”
11 愿天欢喜,愿地快乐,
愿海和其中的一切都欢呼澎湃。
12 愿田野和其中的万物都喜气洋洋,
愿林中的树木都欢然赞美耶和华。
13 因为祂要来审判大地,
祂要按公义审判世界,

96 (A) Sjung till Herren en ny sång,
sjung till Herren, hela jorden!
2 (B) Sjung till Herren, lova hans namn,
ropa ut hans frälsning
dag efter dag!
3 (C) Förkunna hans ära
bland hednafolken,
bland alla folk hans under!
4 (D) Stor är Herren och högt prisad,
värd att vörda mer än alla gudar.
5 (E) Folkens alla gudar är avgudar,
men Herren har gjort himlen.
6 Majestät och härlighet
är inför hans ansikte,
makt och glans i hans helgedom.
7 (F) Ge åt Herren, ni folkens släkter,
ge åt Herren ära och makt!
8 (G) Ge åt Herren hans namns ära,
kom med gåvor till hans gårdar!
9 (H) Tillbe Herren i helig skrud,
bäva inför honom, hela jorden!
10 (I) Säg bland folken:
"Herren är kung,
världen står fast och vacklar inte.
Han ska döma folken med rättvisa."

Praise for the Lord’s Glory
96 Sing to the Lord a new song [C celebrating victory; 33:3; 40:3; 98:1; 144:9; 149:1; Is. 42:10; Rev. 5:9; 14:3];
sing to the Lord, all the earth.
2 Sing to the Lord and ·praise [bless] his name;
every day ·tell [announce the good news] ·how he saves us [L of his salvation/victory].
3 Tell the nations of his glory [C his manifest presence];
tell all peoples the ·miracles [wonderful acts] he does,
4 because the Lord is great; he should be praised ·at all times [or with vigor].
He ·should be honored [is awesome; should be feared] more than all the gods,
5 because all the gods of the nations are ·only idols [or worthless],
but the Lord made the heavens [Gen. 1].
6 The Lord has ·glory [splendor] and majesty;
he has power and beauty in his ·Temple [sanctuary; L Holy Place].
7 ·Praise [L Ascribe to] the Lord, all ·nations on earth [L families of peoples];
·praise the Lord’s [L ascribe to the Lord] glory and power.
8 ·Praise the glory of the Lord’s [L Ascribe to the Lord the glory of his] name.
Bring an ·offering [grain/gift/tribute sacrifice; Lev. 2:1] and come into his Temple courtyards.
9 ·Worship [Bow down to] the Lord ·because he is holy [L in the splendor of his holiness].
Tremble before him, everyone on earth.
10 Tell the nations, “The Lord ·is king [reigns; 47:2; 93:1; 97:1; 98:6; 99:1; Rev. 19:6].”
The earth is ·set [established], and it cannot be moved.
He will judge the people fairly.
11 Let the ·skies [heavens] rejoice and the earth be glad;
let the sea and everything in it ·shout [thunder; roar].
12 Let the fields and everything in them rejoice.
Then all the trees of the forest will sing for joy
13 before the Lord, because he is coming.
He is coming to judge the world;
he will judge the world with ·fairness [righteousness]
and the peoples with ·truth [faithfulness; 98:9].

6 Splendor and majesty(M) are before him;
strength and glory(N) are in his sanctuary.

8 Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name;
