Una canción nueva al Señor(A)

96 Canten al Señor una canción nueva;
canten al Señor, habitantes de toda la tierra;
2 canten al Señor, bendigan su nombre;
anuncien día tras día su salvación.
3 Hablen de su gloria y de sus maravillas
ante todos los pueblos y naciones,
4 porque el Señor es grande
y muy digno de alabanza:
¡más terrible que todos los dioses!
5 Los dioses de otros pueblos no son nada,
pero el Señor hizo los cielos.
6 ¡Hay gran esplendor en su presencia!
¡Hay poder y belleza en su santuario!

7 Den al Señor, familias de los pueblos,
den al Señor el poder y la gloria;
8 den al Señor la honra que merece;
entren a sus atrios con ofrendas,
9 adoren al Señor en su hermoso santuario.
¡Que todo el mundo tiemble delante de él!
10 Digan a las naciones: «¡El Señor es Rey!»
Él afirmó el mundo, para que no se mueva;
él gobierna a los pueblos con igualdad.
11 ¡Que se alegren los cielos y la tierra!
¡Que brame el mar y todo lo que contiene!
12 ¡Que se alegre el campo y todo lo que hay en él!
¡Que griten de alegría los árboles del bosque,

3 ¡Proclamen su gloria entre las naciones,
y sus maravillas entre todos los pueblos!

4 El Señor es grande, y digno de alabanza;
¡es temible, más que todos los dioses!
5 Todos los dioses de los pueblos son ídolos,
pero el Señor es quien creó los cielos.
6 En su presencia hay alabanza y magnificencia;
en su santuario hay poder y gloria.

7 Ustedes, familias de los pueblos,
¡tributen al Señor la gloria y el poder!
8 ¡Tributen al Señor la honra que merece su nombre!
¡Traigan sus ofrendas, y vengan a sus atrios!
9 ¡Adoren al Señor en la hermosura de la santidad!(B)
¡Tiemblen ante él todos en la tierra!

10 Digan entre las naciones: «¡El Señor es rey!
El Señor afirmó el mundo, y no será conmovido;
el Señor juzga a los pueblos con justicia.»

Psalm 96[a]

96 Sing to the Lord a new song.[b]
Sing to the Lord, all the earth.
2 Sing to the Lord. Praise his name.
Announce every day how he delivers.[c]
3 Tell the nations about his splendor.
Tell[d] all the nations about his amazing deeds.
4 For the Lord is great and certainly worthy of praise;
he is more awesome than all gods.[e]
5 For all the gods of the nations are worthless,[f]
but the Lord made the sky.
6 Majestic splendor emanates from him;[g]
his sanctuary is firmly established and beautiful.[h]
7 Ascribe to the Lord, O families of the nations,
ascribe to the Lord splendor and strength.
8 Ascribe to the Lord the splendor he deserves.[i]
Bring an offering and enter his courts.
9 Worship the Lord in holy attire.[j]
Tremble before him, all the earth.
10 Say among the nations, “The Lord reigns!
The world is established; it cannot be moved.
He judges the nations fairly.”
11 Let the sky rejoice, and the earth be happy.
Let the sea and everything in it shout.
12 Let the fields and everything in them celebrate.
Then let the trees of the forest shout with joy
13 before the Lord, for he comes.
For he comes to judge the earth.
He judges the world fairly,[k]
and the nations in accordance with his justice.[l]

Psalm 96:13 tn The verbal forms in v. 13 probably describe God’s typical, characteristic behavior, though they may depict in dramatic fashion the outworking of divine judgment or anticipate a future judgment of worldwide proportions, in which case they could be translated “will judge the world.”
  12. Psalm 96:13 tn Heb “and the nations with his integrity.”

Psalm 96(A)

1 Sing to the Lord(B) a new song;(C)
    sing to the Lord, all the earth.
2 Sing to the Lord, praise his name;(D)
    proclaim his salvation(E) day after day.
3 Declare his glory(F) among the nations,
    his marvelous deeds(G) among all peoples.

4 For great is the Lord and most worthy of praise;(H)
    he is to be feared(I) above all gods.(J)
5 For all the gods of the nations are idols,(K)
    but the Lord made the heavens.(L)
6 Splendor and majesty(M) are before him;
    strength and glory(N) are in his sanctuary.

7 Ascribe to the Lord,(O) all you families of nations,(P)
