I’r Pencerdd ar Neginoth, Salm neu Gân Asaff.

76 Hynod yw Duw yn Jwda; mawr yw ei enw ef yn Israel. Ei babell hefyd sydd yn Salem, a’i drigfa yn Seion. Yna y torrodd efe saethau y bwa, y darian, y cleddyf hefyd, a’r frwydr. Sela. Gogoneddusach wyt a chadarnach na mynyddoedd yr ysbail. Ysbeiliwyd y cedyrn galon, hunasant eu hun: a’r holl wŷr o nerth ni chawsant eu dwylo. Gan dy gerydd di, O Dduw Jacob, y rhoed y cerbyd a’r march i gysgu. Tydi, tydi, wyt ofnadwy; a phwy a saif o’th flaen pan enynno dy ddicter? O’r nefoedd y peraist glywed barn; ofnodd, a gostegodd y ddaear, Pan gyfododd Duw i farn, i achub holl rai llednais y tir. Sela. 10 Diau cynddaredd dyn a’th folianna di: gweddill cynddaredd a waherddi. 11 Addunedwch, a thelwch i’r Arglwydd eich Duw: y rhai oll ydynt o’i amgylch ef, dygant anrheg i’r ofnadwy. 12 Efe a dyr ymaith ysbryd tywysogion: y mae yn ofnadwy i frenhinoedd y ddaear.

76 In Judah is God known: his name is great in Israel.

In Salem also is his tabernacle, and his dwelling place in Zion.

There brake he the arrows of the bow, the shield, and the sword, and the battle. Selah.

Thou art more glorious and excellent than the mountains of prey.

The stouthearted are spoiled, they have slept their sleep: and none of the men of might have found their hands.

At thy rebuke, O God of Jacob, both the chariot and horse are cast into a dead sleep.

Thou, even thou, art to be feared: and who may stand in thy sight when once thou art angry?

Thou didst cause judgment to be heard from heaven; the earth feared, and was still,

When God arose to judgment, to save all the meek of the earth. Selah.

10 Surely the wrath of man shall praise thee: the remainder of wrath shalt thou restrain.

11 Vow, and pay unto the Lord your God: let all that be round about him bring presents unto him that ought to be feared.

12 He shall cut off the spirit of princes: he is terrible to the kings of the earth.
