上帝威严的声音

大卫的诗。

29 上帝的众子啊，
要赞美耶和华，
赞美祂的荣耀和能力，
2 要赞美祂荣耀的名，
穿上圣洁的衣服敬拜祂。
3 耶和华的声音回荡在海上，
荣耀的上帝打雷，
在洪涛之上打雷。
4 耶和华的声音充满能力；
耶和华的声音充满威严。
5 耶和华的声音震断香柏树，
耶和华劈碎黎巴嫩的香柏树，
6 使黎巴嫩山跳跃如小牛，
西连山跳跃如野牛。
7 耶和华的声音携闪电而来，
8 震动旷野，
震动加低斯的旷野。
9 耶和华的声音击倒橡树[a]，
使树木凋零。
众人在祂殿中高呼：
“荣耀归于耶和华！”
10 耶和华坐在洪涛之上，
耶和华永远坐着为王。
11 耶和华赐力量给自己的子民，
赐给他们平安的福乐。

29 Moeswch i’r Arglwydd, chwi feibion cedyrn, moeswch i’r Arglwydd ogoniant a nerth. 2 Moeswch i’r Arglwydd ogoniant ei enw: addolwch yr Arglwydd ym mhrydferthwch ei sancteiddrwydd. 3 Llef yr Arglwydd sydd ar y dyfroedd: Duw y gogoniant a darana; yr Arglwydd sydd ar y dyfroedd mawrion. 4 Llef yr Arglwydd sydd mewn grym: llef yr Arglwydd sydd mewn prydferthwch. 5 Llef yr Arglwydd sydd yn dryllio y cedrwydd: ie, dryllia yr Arglwydd gedrwydd Libanus. 6 Efe a wna iddynt lamu fel llo; Libanus a Sirion fel llwdn unicorn. 7 Llef yr Arglwydd a wasgara y fflamau tân. 8 Llef yr Arglwydd a wna i’r anialwch grynu: yr Arglwydd a wna i anialwch Cades grynu. 9 Llef yr Arglwydd a wna i’r ewigod lydnu, ac a ddinoetha y coedydd: ac yn ei deml pawb a draetha ei ogoniant ef. 10 Yr Arglwydd sydd yn eistedd ar y llifeiriant; ie, yr Arglwydd a eistedd yn Frenin yn dragywydd. 11 Yr Arglwydd a ddyry nerth i’w bobl: yr Arglwydd a fendithia ei bobl â thangnefedd.

Psalm 29

A psalm of David.

1 Ascribe to the Lord,(A) you heavenly beings,(B)
    ascribe to the Lord glory(C) and strength.
2 Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name;
    worship the Lord in the splendor of his[a] holiness.(D)

3 The voice(E) of the Lord is over the waters;
    the God of glory(F) thunders,(G)
    the Lord thunders over the mighty waters.(H)
4 The voice of the Lord is powerful;(I)
    the voice of the Lord is majestic.
5 The voice of the Lord breaks the cedars;
    the Lord breaks in pieces the cedars of Lebanon.(J)
6 He makes Lebanon leap(K) like a calf,
    Sirion[b](L) like a young wild ox.(M)
7 The voice of the Lord strikes
    with flashes of lightning.(N)
8 The voice of the Lord shakes the desert;
    the Lord shakes the Desert of Kadesh.(O)
9 The voice of the Lord twists the oaks[c](P)
    and strips the forests bare.
And in his temple all cry, “Glory!”(Q)

10 The Lord sits enthroned over the flood;(R)
    the Lord is enthroned as King forever.(S)
11 The Lord gives strength to his people;(T)
    the Lord blesses his people with peace.(U)
