耶和华为牧者

23 大卫的诗。

耶和华是我的牧者,我必不致缺乏。
他使我躺卧在青草地上,领我在可安歇的水边。
他使我的灵魂苏醒,为自己的名引导我走义路。
我虽然行过死荫的幽谷,也不怕遭害,因为你与我同在,你的杖、你的竿都安慰我。
在我敌人面前,你为我摆设筵席,你用油膏了我的头,使我的福杯满溢。
我一生一世必有恩惠、慈爱随着我,我且要住在耶和华的殿中,直到永远。

23 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.

He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

Un psalm al lui David

Domnul este păstorul meu: nu voi duce lipsă de nimic.
    El mă culcă în păşuni verzi
şi mă conduce la ape odihnitoare.
    Îmi înviorează sufletul
şi mă călăuzeşte pe cărări drepte,
    datorită Numelui Său.
Chiar dacă ar fi să umblu
    prin valea umbrei morţii[a],
        nu mă tem de rău,
căci Tu eşti cu mine,
    nuiaua şi toiagul Tău
        mă mângâie.

Tu-mi întinzi masa
    în faţa duşmanilor mei,
îmi ungi capul cu untdelemn
    şi cupa mea este atât de plină.
Într-adevăr, bunătatea şi credincioşia mă vor însoţi
    în toate zilele vieţii mele
şi voi locui în Casa Domnului
    cât vor dăinui zilele[b]!

A psalm of David.

The Lord is my shepherd,(A) I lack nothing.(B)
    He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,(C)
    he refreshes my soul.(D)
He guides me(E) along the right paths(F)
    for his name’s sake.(G)
Even though I walk
    through the darkest valley,[a](H)
I will fear no evil,(I)
    for you are with me;(J)
your rod and your staff,
    they comfort me.

You prepare a table(K) before me
    in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;(L)
    my cup(M) overflows.
Surely your goodness and love(N) will follow me
    all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord
    forever.
