21 (A)За първия певец. Давидов псалом.
Господи, в Твоята сила ще се весели царят;
и колко много ще се радва в избавлението Ти!
2 (B)Изпълнил си желанието на сърцето му
и от молбата на устните му не си го лишил. (Села.)
3 (C)Защото си го срещнал с благословения на блага;
положил си на главата му корона от чисто злато.
4 (D)Той проси от Тебе живот;
и Ти си му дал дългоденствие до вечни векове.
5 Голяма е славата му чрез Твоето избавление;
чест и величие си положил на него;
6 (E)защото си го поставил да бъде за благословение до века,
развеселил си го с радост в присъствието Си;
7 (F)защото царят уповава на Господа
и чрез милосърдието на Всевишния няма да се поклати.
8 (G)Ръката Ти ще намери всички Твои врагове;
десницата Ти ще намери онези, които Те мразят.
9 (H)Във времето на негодуванието Си ще ги направиш като огнена пещ;
Господ ще ги погълне с гнева Си
и огън ще ги изгори.
10 (I)Ще изтребиш плода им от земята
и потомството им измежду човешките синове.
11 (J)Защото, при все че намислиха зло против Тебе,
при все че измислиха заговор, няма да могат да го изпълнят,
12 понеже Ти ще ги направиш да обърнат гръб,
когато приготвиш на тетивите Си стрели против лицето им.
13 Издигни се, Господи, със силата Си;
така ще възпяваме и ще прославяме Твоето могъщество.

21 (21:1) Au chef des chantres. Psaume de David. (21:2) Éternel! le roi se réjouit de ta protection puissante. Oh! comme ton secours le remplit d'allégresse!
2 (21:3) Tu lui as donné ce que désirait son coeur, Et tu n'as pas refusé ce que demandaient ses lèvres. -Pause.
3 (21:4) Car tu l'as prévenu par les bénédictions de ta grâce, Tu as mis sur sa tête une couronne d'or pur.
4 (21:5) Il te demandait la vie, tu la lui as donnée, Une vie longue pour toujours et à perpétuité.
5 (21:6) Sa gloire est grande à cause de ton secours; Tu places sur lui l'éclat et la magnificence.
6 (21:7) Tu le rends à jamais un objet de bénédictions, Tu le combles de joie devant ta face.
7 (21:8) Le roi se confie en l'Éternel; Et, par la bonté du Très Haut, il ne chancelle pas.
8 (21:9) Ta main trouvera tous tes ennemis, Ta droite trouvera ceux qui te haïssent.
9 (21:10) Tu les rendras tels qu'une fournaise ardente, Le jour où tu te montreras; L'Éternel les anéantira dans sa colère, Et le feu les dévorera.
10 (21:11) Tu feras disparaître leur postérité de la terre, Et leur race du milieu des fils de l'homme.
11 (21:12) Ils ont projeté du mal contre toi, Ils ont conçu de mauvais desseins, mais ils seront impuissants.
12 (21:13) Car tu leur feras tourner le dos, Et avec ton arc tu tireras sur eux.
13 (21:14) Lève-toi, Éternel, avec ta force! Nous voulons chanter, célébrer ta puissance.

For the director of music. A psalm of David.
2 You have granted him his heart’s desire(C)
and have not withheld the request of his lips.[b]
3 You came to greet him with rich blessings
and placed a crown of pure gold(D) on his head.(E)
4 He asked you for life, and you gave it to him—
length of days, for ever and ever.(F)
5 Through the victories(G) you gave, his glory is great;
you have bestowed on him splendor and majesty.(H)
6 Surely you have granted him unending blessings
and made him glad with the joy(I) of your presence.(J)
7 For the king trusts in the Lord;(K)
through the unfailing love(L) of the Most High(M)
he will not be shaken.(N)
8 Your hand will lay hold(O) on all your enemies;
your right hand will seize your foes.
9 When you appear for battle,
you will burn them up as in a blazing furnace.
The Lord will swallow them up in his wrath,
and his fire will consume them.(P)
10 You will destroy their descendants from the earth,
their posterity from mankind.(Q)
11 Though they plot evil(R) against you
and devise wicked schemes,(S) they cannot succeed.
12 You will make them turn their backs(T)
when you aim at them with drawn bow.
