大衛的詩，交給詩班長。

14 愚頑人心裡說：“沒有　神。”

他們都是敗壞，行了可憎的事，

沒有一個行善的。（本節在《馬索拉文本》包括細字標題）

²耶和華從天上察看世人，

要看看有明慧的沒有，

有尋求　神的沒有。

³人人都偏離了正道，一同變成污穢；

沒有行善的，連一個也沒有。

⁴所有作惡的都是無知的嗎？

他們吞吃我的子民好像吃飯一樣，

並不求告耶和華。

⁵他們必大大震驚，

因為　神在義人的群體中。

⁶你們要使困苦人的計劃失敗，

但耶和華是他的避難所。

⁷但願以色列的救恩從錫安而出；

耶和華給他子民帶來復興的時候（“耶和華給他子民帶來復興的時候”或譯：“耶和華把他被擄的子民帶回來的時候”），

雅各要快樂，以色列要歡喜。

世人的邪惡

大衛的詩，交給樂長。

14 愚昧人心裡想：「沒有上帝。」
他們全然敗壞，行為邪惡，
無人行善。
²耶和華從天上俯視人間，
看有沒有明智者，
有沒有尋求上帝的人。
³人們都偏離正路，
一同墮落；
沒有人行善，
一個也沒有！
⁴惡人吞吃我的百姓如同吃飯，
他們不求告耶和華。
難道他們無知嗎？
⁵但他們終必充滿恐懼，
因為上帝站在義人當中。
⁶你們惡人使困苦人的計劃落空，
但耶和華是他們的避難所。
⁷願以色列的拯救來自錫安！
耶和華救回祂被擄的子民時，
雅各要歡欣，以色列要快樂。

To the director: A song of David.

14 Only fools think there is no God.
People like that are evil and do terrible things.
They never do what is right.

²The Lord looks down from heaven
    to see if there is anyone who is wise,
    anyone who looks to him for help.
³But everyone has gone the wrong way.
    Everyone has turned bad.
No one does anything good.
    No, not one person!

⁴Those who are evil treat my people like bread to be eaten.
    And they never ask for the Lord’s help.
    Don’t they know what they are doing?
⁵They will have plenty to fear,
    because God is with those who do what is right.
⁶You wicked people want to spoil the hopes of the poor,
    but the Lord will protect them.

⁷I wish the one who lives on Mount Zion
    would bring victory to Israel!
When the Lord makes his people successful again,
    the people of Jacob will be happy;
    the people of Israel will be glad.
