我所想念親愛的弟兄們,你們就是我的喜樂、我的冠冕。所以,親愛的,你們應當靠著主站立得穩。

勸勉

我勸友阿嫡,也勸循都基,要在主裡有同樣的思想。 我真誠的同道啊,我也求你幫助她們。這兩個女人,還有革利免和其餘的同工,都跟我在福音的事工上一同勞苦,他們的名字都在生命冊上。

你們要靠著主常常喜樂,我再說,你們要喜樂。 要使大家看出你們謙和的心。主已經近了。 應當毫無憂慮,只要凡事藉著禱告祈求,帶著感恩的心,把你們所要的告訴 神。 這樣, 神所賜超過人能了解的平安,必在基督耶穌裡,保守你們的心思意念。

最後,弟兄們,凡是真實的、莊重的、公正的、純潔的、可愛的、聲譽好的,無論是甚麼美德,甚麼稱讚,這些事你們都應當思念。 你們在我身上所學習、所領受、所聽見、所看見的,這些事你們都應當實行;那麼,賜平安的 神就必與你們同在。

凡事知足的祕訣

10 我在主裡大大地喜樂,因為你們現在又再想起我來;其實你們一向都在想念我,只是沒有機會表示。 11 我並不是因為缺乏才這樣說:我已經學會了,無論在甚麼情況之下都可以知足。 12 我知道怎樣處卑賤,也知道怎樣處富裕;我已經得了祕訣,無論在任何情況之下,或是飽足,或是飢餓,或是富裕,或是缺乏,都可以知足。 13 我靠著那加給我能力的,凡事都能作。 14 然而,你們一同分擔了我的患難,實在是好的。

腓立比信徒的餽送

15 腓立比的弟兄們,你們也知道,在我傳福音的初期,離開馬其頓的時候,除了你們以外,我沒有收過任何教會的供給。 16 我在帖撒羅尼迦的時候,你們還是一而再把我所需用的送來。 17 我並不求禮物,只求你們的果子不斷增加,歸在你們的帳上。 18 你們所送的我都全數收到了,而且綽綽有餘;我已經足夠了,因我從以巴弗提收到你們所送的,好像馨香之氣,是 神所接納所喜悅的祭物。 19 我的 神必照他在基督耶穌裡榮耀的豐富,滿足你們的一切需要。 20 願榮耀歸給我們的父 神,直到永遠。阿們。

問候與祝福

Therefore, my brothers,[a] whom I love and (A)long for, (B)my joy and (C)crown, (D)stand firm thus in the Lord, my beloved.

Exhortation, Encouragement, and Prayer

I entreat Euodia and I entreat Syntyche to (E)agree in the Lord. Yes, I ask you also, true companion,[b] help these women, who have labored[c] side by side with me in the gospel together with Clement and the rest of my fellow workers, (F)whose names are in the book of life.

(G)Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice. Let your reasonableness[d] be known to everyone. (H)The Lord is at hand; (I)do not be anxious about anything, (J)but in everything by prayer and supplication (K)with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And (L)the peace of God, (M)which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. What you have learned[e] and (N)received and heard and seen (O)in me—practice these things, and (P)the God of peace will be with you.

God's Provision

10 I rejoiced in the Lord greatly that now at length (Q)you have revived your concern for me. You were indeed concerned for me, but you had no opportunity. 11 Not that I am speaking of being in need, for I have learned, in whatever situation I am, to be (R)content. 12 I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and (S)hunger, abundance and (T)need. 13 I can do all things (U)through him who strengthens me.

14 Yet it was kind of you (V)to share[f] my trouble. 15 And you Philippians yourselves know that (W)in the beginning of the gospel, when I left Macedonia, (X)no church entered into partnership with me in giving and receiving, except you only. 16 Even in Thessalonica you sent me help for my needs once and again. 17 (Y)Not that I seek the gift, but I seek (Z)the fruit that increases to your credit.[g] 18 I have received full payment, and more. I am well supplied, (AA)having received from Epaphroditus the gifts you sent, (AB)a fragrant offering, (AC)a sacrifice acceptable and pleasing to God. 19 And my God (AD)will supply every need of yours (AE)according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. 20 To (AF)our God and Father be (AG)glory forever and ever. Amen.

Final Greetings

21 Greet every saint in Christ Jesus. (AH)The brothers who are with me greet you. 22 (AI)All the saints greet you, especially those of Caesar's household.

23 (AJ)The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit.

Closing Appeal for Steadfastness and Unity

Therefore, my brothers and sisters, you whom I love and long for,(A) my joy and crown, stand firm(B) in the Lord in this way, dear friends!

I plead with Euodia and I plead with Syntyche to be of the same mind(C) in the Lord. Yes, and I ask you, my true companion, help these women since they have contended at my side in the cause of the gospel, along with Clement and the rest of my co-workers,(D) whose names are in the book of life.(E)

Final Exhortations

Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!(F) Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near.(G) Do not be anxious about anything,(H) but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.(I) And the peace of God,(J) which transcends all understanding,(K) will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice.(L) And the God of peace(M) will be with you.

Thanks for Their Gifts

10 I rejoiced greatly in the Lord that at last you renewed your concern for me.(N) Indeed, you were concerned, but you had no opportunity to show it. 11 I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content(O) whatever the circumstances. 12 I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry,(P) whether living in plenty or in want.(Q) 13 I can do all this through him who gives me strength.(R)

14 Yet it was good of you to share(S) in my troubles. 15 Moreover, as you Philippians know, in the early days(T) of your acquaintance with the gospel, when I set out from Macedonia,(U) not one church shared with me in the matter of giving and receiving, except you only;(V) 16 for even when I was in Thessalonica,(W) you sent me aid more than once when I was in need.(X) 17 Not that I desire your gifts; what I desire is that more be credited to your account.(Y) 18 I have received full payment and have more than enough. I am amply supplied, now that I have received from Epaphroditus(Z) the gifts you sent. They are a fragrant(AA) offering, an acceptable sacrifice, pleasing to God. 19 And my God will meet all your needs(AB) according to the riches of his glory(AC) in Christ Jesus.

20 To our God and Father(AD) be glory for ever and ever. Amen.(AE)

Final Greetings

21 Greet all God’s people in Christ Jesus. The brothers and sisters who are with me(AF) send greetings. 22 All God’s people(AG) here send you greetings, especially those who belong to Caesar’s household.

23 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ(AH) be with your spirit.(AI) Amen.[a]

Be Anxious for Nothing; Think These Thoughts

Therefore, my beloved and (A)longed-for brethren, (B)my joy and crown, so (C)stand fast in the Lord, beloved.

Be United, Joyful, and in Prayer

Meditate on These Things

Finally, brethren, whatever things are (L)true, whatever things are (M)noble, whatever things are (N)just, (O)whatever things are pure, whatever things are (P)lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and (Q)the God of peace will be with you.

Philippian Generosity

10 But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly that now at last (R)your[c] care for me has flourished again; though you surely did care, but you lacked opportunity. 11 Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, (S)to be content: 12 (T)I know how to [d]be abased, and I know how to [e]abound. Everywhere and in all things I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. 13 I can do all things (U)through [f]Christ who strengthens me.

14 Nevertheless you have done well that (V)you shared in my distress. 15 Now you Philippians know also that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, (W)no church shared with me concerning giving and receiving but you only. 16 For even in Thessalonica you sent aid once and again for my necessities. 17 Not that I seek the gift, but I seek (X)the fruit that abounds to your account. 18 Indeed I [g]have all and abound. I am full, having received from (Y)Epaphroditus the things sent from you, (Z)a sweet-smelling aroma, (AA)an acceptable sacrifice, well pleasing to God. 19 And my God (AB)shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. 20 (AC)Now to our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen.

Greeting and Blessing

Por eso sigan así, manteniéndose firmes en el Señor, mis estimados hermanos. Los quiero mucho y espero verlos pronto. Ustedes son mi alegría y mi orgullo.

Algunas recomendaciones

Suplico a Evodia y a Síntique que se pongan de acuerdo como hermanas en el Señor. Y también te pido a ti, que has sido mi leal compañero, que las ayudes, pues ellas lucharon conmigo, Clemente y mis otros compañeros para difundir la buena noticia de salvación. El nombre de cada uno de ellos ya está escrito en el libro de la vida.[a]

Alégrense siempre en el Señor. Lo digo de nuevo: ¡Alégrense! Que todos sepan que ustedes son amables y gentiles. El Señor está cerca. No se preocupen por nada, más bien pídanle al Señor lo que necesiten y agradézcanle siempre. La paz de Dios hará guardia sobre todos sus pensamientos y sentimientos porque ustedes pertenecen a Jesucristo. Su paz lo puede hacer mucho mejor que nuestra mente humana.[b]

En fin, hermanos, piensen en todo lo que es verdadero, noble, correcto, puro, hermoso y admirable. También piensen en lo que tiene alguna virtud, en lo que es digno de reconocimiento. Mantengan su mente ocupada en eso. Hagan todo lo que les enseñé, todo lo que aprendieron al verme y oírme, y el Dios de paz estará con ustedes.

Pablo agradece a los creyentes de Filipos

10 Estoy muy contento al ver que de nuevo ustedes se preocupan por mi bienestar. Sé que siempre se han preocupado por mí, pero no habían tenido oportunidad de demostrármelo. 11 No digo esto porque necesite ayuda, pues he aprendido a adaptarme a cualquier situación. 12 Yo sé cómo vivir en pobreza o en abundancia. Conozco el secreto de estar feliz en todos los momentos y circunstancias: pasando hambre o estando satisfecho; teniendo mucho o teniendo poco. 13 Puedo enfrentar cualquier situación porque Cristo me da el poder para hacerlo.

14 De todos modos, han hecho bien en ayudarme ahora que estoy pasando dificultades. 15 Filipenses, ustedes muy bien saben que cuando comencé a anunciar la buena noticia de salvación, al salir de Macedonia, ustedes fueron la única iglesia que me ayudó con mis ingresos y gastos. 16 Y cuando estuve en Tesalónica ustedes me enviaron ayuda más de una vez. 17 En realidad, yo no pretendo que me den regalos, sino que ustedes reciban todos los beneficios de Dios por ser generosos. 18 Ya recibí todo lo que me mandaron. Tengo todo lo que necesito y hasta tengo de sobra porque recibí la ayuda que me enviaron con Epafrodito. Sus ayudas son como ofrendas de delicioso perfume, sacrificios que agradan a Dios. 19 Le pido a mi Dios que les dé a ustedes todo lo que necesitan, conforme a las espléndidas riquezas que tiene en Jesucristo. 20 ¡A nuestro Dios Padre sea el honor por toda la eternidad! Así sea.

Saludos finales

21 Saluden a todo el pueblo de Dios en Jesucristo. Los hermanos que están conmigo también les mandan saludos. 22 Todo el pueblo de Dios los saluda, en especial los que están al servicio del emperador.

23 Que nuestro Señor Jesucristo los bendiga en abundancia.
