3 我是因耶和华愤怒的杖遭遇困苦的人。 2 他引导我，使我行在黑暗中，不行在光明里。 3 他真是终日再三反手攻击我。 4 他使我的皮肉枯干，他折断[a]我的骨头。 5 他筑垒攻击我，用苦楚[b]和艰难围困我。 6 他使我住在幽暗之处，像死了许久的人一样。 7 他用篱笆围住我，使我不能出去，他使我的铜链沉重。 8 我哀号求救，他使我的祷告不得上达。 9 他用凿过的石头挡住我的道，他使我的路弯曲。 10 他向我如熊埋伏，如狮子在隐密处。 11 他使我转离正路，将我撕碎，使我凄凉。 12 他张弓将我当做箭靶子。 13 他把箭袋中的箭射入我的肺腑。 14 我成了众民的笑话，他们终日以我为歌曲。 15 他用苦楚充满我，使我饱用茵陈。 16 他又用沙石碜断我的牙，用灰尘将我蒙蔽。 17 你使我远离平安，我忘记好处。 18 我就说：“我的力量衰败，我在耶和华那里毫无指望。”
追忆主恩不致灭没
19 耶和华啊，求你记念我如茵陈和苦胆的困苦窘迫！ 20 我心想念这些，就在里面忧闷。 21 我想起这事，心里就有指望。 22 我们不致消灭，是出于耶和华诸般的慈爱，是因他的怜悯不至断绝。 23 每早晨这都是新的，你的诚实极其广大。 24 我心里说：“耶和华是我的份，因此我要仰望他。” 25 凡等候耶和华，心里寻求他的，耶和华必施恩给他。
仰望救恩静候为美
26 人仰望耶和华，静默等候他的救恩，这原是好的。 27 人在幼年负轭，这原是好的。 28 他当独坐无言，因为这是耶和华加在他身上的。 29 他当口贴尘埃，或者有指望。 30 他当由人打他的腮颊，要满受凌辱。 31 因为主必不永远丢弃人。 32 主虽使人忧愁，还要照他诸般的慈爱发怜悯。 33 因他并不甘心使人受苦，使人忧愁。 34 人将世上被囚的踹[c]在脚下， 35 或在至高者面前屈枉人， 36 或在人的讼事上颠倒是非，这都是主看不上的。 37 除非主命定，谁能说成就成呢？ 38 祸福不都出于至高者的口吗？ 39 活人因自己的罪受罚，为何发怨言呢？
40 我们当深深考察自己的行为，再归向耶和华。 41 我们当诚心向天上的神举手祷告： 42 “我们犯罪悖逆，你并不赦免。 43 你自被怒气遮蔽，追赶我们；你施行杀戮，并不顾惜。 44 你以黑云遮蔽自己，以致祷告不得透入。 45 你使我们在万民中成为污秽和渣滓。 46 我们的仇敌都向我们大大张口。 47 恐惧和陷坑，残害和毁灭都临近我们。” 48 因我众民遭的毁灭，我就眼泪下流如河。 49 我的眼多多流泪，总不止息， 50 直等耶和华垂顾，从天观看。 51 因我本城的众民，我的眼使我的心伤痛。 52 无故与我为仇的追逼我，像追雀鸟一样。 53 他们使我的命在牢狱中断绝，并将一块石头抛在我身上。 54 众水流过我头，我说：“我命断绝了！”
求主解救
55 耶和华啊，我从深牢中求告你的名。 56 你曾听见我的声音：“我求你解救，你不要掩耳不听！” 57 我求告你的日子，你临近我，说：“不要惧怕！” 58 主啊，你申明了我的冤，你救赎了我的命。 59 耶和华啊，你见了我受的委屈，求你为我申冤。 60 他们仇恨我，谋害我，你都看见了。 61 耶和华啊，你听见他们辱骂我的话，知道他们向我所设的计， 62 并那些起来攻击我的人口中所说的话，以及终日向我所设的计谋。 63 求你观看，他们坐下、起来，都以我为歌曲。
求主施报于敌
64 耶和华啊，你要按着他们手所做的向他们施行报应。 65 你要使他们心里刚硬，使你的咒诅临到他们。 66 你要发怒追赶他们，从耶和华的天下除灭他们。

TERZA LAMENTAZIONE
3 Io sono l'uomo che ha provato la miseria
sotto la sferza della sua ira.
2 Egli mi ha guidato, mi ha fatto camminare
nelle tenebre e non nella luce.
3 Solo contro di me egli ha volto e rivolto
la sua mano tutto il giorno.
4 Egli ha consumato la mia carne e la mia pelle,
ha rotto le mie ossa.
5 Ha costruito sopra di me, mi ha circondato
di veleno e di affanno.
6 Mi ha fatto abitare in luoghi tenebrosi
come i morti da lungo tempo.
7 Mi ha costruito un muro tutt'intorno,
perché non potessi più uscire;
ha reso pesanti le mie catene.
8 Anche se grido e invoco aiuto,
egli soffoca la mia preghiera.
9 Ha sbarrato le mie vie con blocchi di pietra,
ha ostruito i miei sentieri.
10 Egli era per me un orso in agguato,
un leone in luoghi nascosti.
11 Seminando di spine la mia via, mi ha lacerato,
mi ha reso desolato.
12 Ha teso l'arco, mi ha posto

19 Il ricordo della mia miseria e del mio vagare
è come assenzio e veleno.
20 Ben se ne ricorda e si accascia
dentro di me la mia anima.
21 Questo intendo richiamare alla mia mente,
e per questo voglio riprendere speranza.
22 Le misericordie del Signore non sono finite,
non è esaurita la sua compassione;
23 esse son rinnovate ogni mattina,
grande è la sua fedeltà.
24 «Mia parte è il Signore - io esclamo -
per questo in lui voglio sperare».
25 Buono è il Signore con chi spera in lui,
con l'anima che lo cerca.
26 E' bene aspettare in silenzio
la salvezza del Signore.
27 E' bene per l'uomo portare
il giogo fin dalla giovinezza.
28 Sieda costui solitario e resti in silenzio,
poiché egli glielo ha imposto;
29 cacci nella polvere la bocca,
forse c'è ancora speranza;
30 porga a chi lo percuote la sua guancia,
si sazi di umiliazioni.
31 Poiché il Signore non rigetta mai...
32 Ma, se affligge, avrà anche pietà
secondo la sua grande misericordia.
33 Poiché contro il suo desiderio egli umilia
e affligge i figli dell'uomo.
34 Quando schiacciano sotto i loro piedi
tutti i prigionieri del paese,
35 quando falsano i diritti di un uomo
in presenza dell'Altissimo,
36 quando fan torto a un altro in una causa,
forse non vede il Signore tutto ciò?
37 Chi mai ha parlato e la sua parola si è avverata,
senza che il Signore lo avesse comandato?
38 Dalla bocca dell'Altissimo non procedono forse
le sventure e il bene?
39 Perché si rammarica un essere vivente,
un uomo, per i castighi dei suoi peccati?
40 «Esaminiamo la nostra condotta e scrutiamola,
ritorniamo al Signore.
41 Innalziamo i nostri cuori al di sopra delle mani,
verso Dio nei cieli.
42 Abbiamo peccato e siamo stati ribelli;
tu non ci hai perdonato.
43 Ti sei avvolto nell'ira e ci hai perseguitati,
hai ucciso senza pietà.
44 Ti sei avvolto in una nube,
così che la supplica non giungesse fino a te.
45 Ci hai ridotti a spazzatura e rifiuto
in mezzo ai popoli.
46 Han spalancato la bocca contro di noi
tutti i nostri nemici.
47 Terrore e trabocchetto sono la nostra sorte,
desolazione e rovina».
48 Rivoli di lacrime scorrono dai miei occhi,
per la rovina della figlia del mio popolo.
49 Il mio occhio piange senza sosta
perché non ha pace
50 finché non guardi e non veda il Signore dal cielo.
51 Il mio occhio mi tormenta

52 Mi han dato la caccia come a un passero

54 Son salite le acque fin sopra il mio capo;
io dissi: «E' finita per me».
55 Ho invocato il tuo nome, o Signore,
dalla fossa profonda.
56 Tu hai udito la mia voce: «Non chiudere
l'orecchio al mio sfogo».
57 Tu eri vicino quando ti invocavo,
hai detto: «Non temere!».

2 He has driven me away and made me walk
in darkness(C) rather than light;
3 indeed, he has turned his hand against me(D)
again and again, all day long.
4 He has made my skin and my flesh grow old(E)
and has broken my bones.(F)
5 He has besieged me and surrounded me
with bitterness(G) and hardship.(H)
6 He has made me dwell in darkness

7 He has walled me in so I cannot escape;(J)
he has weighed me down with chains.(K)
8 Even when I call out or cry for help,(L)

24 I say to myself, “The Lord is my portion;(AM)
therefore I will wait for him.”
25 The Lord is good to those whose hope is in him,

for the salvation of the Lord.(AP)
27 It is good for a man to bear the yoke
while he is young.
28 Let him sit alone in silence,(AQ)
for the Lord has laid it on him.

43 “You have covered yourself with anger and pursued(BI) us;

45 You have made us scum(BN) and refuse
among the nations.
46 “All our enemies have opened their mouths

because my people are destroyed.(BU)

because of all the women of my city.
52 Those who were my enemies without cause

3 Naranasan ko kung gaano kahirap ang maparusahan ng Diyos.
2 Itinaboy niya ako sa lugar na wala kahit bahagyang liwanag.
3 Walang awa niya akong hinahampas sa buong maghapon.
4 Tadtad ng sugat ang buo kong katawan at bali-bali ang aking mga buto.
5 Ibinilanggo niya ako sa kalungkutan at pagdurusa.
6 Isinadlak niya ako sa kadiliman, laging nasa bingit ng kamatayan.
7 Ginapos niya ako para hindi makatakas, pinalibutan ako ng pader na mataas.
8 Nanambitan man ako at humingi ng tulong, hindi niya dininig ang aking dalangin.
9 Susuray-suray ako sa tindi ng hirap, at kahit saan ako bumaling

23 Ito ay laging sariwa bawat umaga; katapatan mo'y napakadakila.
24 Si Yahweh ay akin, sa kanya ako magtitiwala.
25 Si Yahweh ay mabuti sa mga nananalig at umaasa sa kanya,
26 kaya't pinakamainam ang buong tiyagang umasa sa ating kaligtasang si Yahweh ang may dala.

32 Bagaman siya'y nagpaparusa, hindi naman nawawala ang kanyang pag-ibig.
33 Hindi niya ikatutuwang tayo'y saktan o pahirapan.
34 Hindi nalilingid kay Yahweh kung naghihirap ang ating kalooban,
35 maging ang ating karapatan, kung tayo'y pagkaitan.
36 Kung ang katarungan ay hayagang tinutuya, siguradong si Yahweh ay hindi magpapabaya.
37 Walang anumang bagay na mangyayari, nang hindi sa kapahintulutan ni Yahweh.
38 Nasa kapangyarihan ng Kataas-taasang Diyos ang masama at mabuti.
39 Bakit tayo magrereklamo kapag tayo'y pinaparusahan kung dahil naman ito sa ating mga kasalanan?
40 Siyasatin nati't suriin ang ating pamumuhay, at tayo'y manumbalik kay Yahweh!
41 Dumulog tayo sa Diyos at tayo'y manalangin:
42 “Kami'y nagkasala at naghimagsik, at hindi mo kami pinatawad.
43 “Sa iyong matinding galit ay hinabol mo kami at walang awang pinatay.
44 Ang galit mo'y tila makapal na ulap na hindi malampasan ng aming mga dalangin.
45 Ginawa mo kaming tambakan ng kasamaan ng sanlibutan.
46 “Kinukutya kami ng aming mga kaaway;
47 nagdaan na kami sa pagkawasak at kapahamakan, naranasan namin ang mabingit sa panganib at manginig sa takot.
48 Hindi mapigil ang pagbalong ng aking mga luha, dahil sa kapahamakang sinapit ng aking bayan.
49 “Walang tigil ang pagdaloy ng aking mga luha,
50 hanggang si Yahweh ay tumunghay mula sa langit at kami'y lingapin.
51 Nagdadalamhati ako dahil sa sinapit ng mga kababaihan sa aking lunsod.

57 Nilapitan mo ako nang ika'y tawagan ko; sinabi mo sa akin, ‘Huwag kang matakot!’
58 “Tinulungan mo ako, Yahweh, at iniligtas mo ang aking buhay.
59 Hindi kaila sa iyo ang kasamaang ginawa nila sa akin; bigyan mo ako ng katarungan.
60 Nakita mo ang kanilang paghihiganti at masasamang balak laban sa akin.
61 “Narinig mo, Yahweh, ang pangungutya nila't mga pakana laban sa akin.
62 Nagsasalita at nag-iisip laban sa akin ang mga kaaway ko.

3 I Am the man that hath seen affliction by the rod of his wrath.
2 He hath led me, and brought me into darkness, but not into light.
3 Surely against me is he turned; he turneth his hand against me all the day.
4 My flesh and my skin hath he made old; he hath broken my bones.
5 He hath builded against me, and compassed me with gall and travail.
6 He hath set me in dark places, as they that be dead of old.
7 He hath hedged me about, that I cannot get out: he hath made my chain heavy.
8 Also when I cry and shout, he shutteth out my prayer.
9 He hath inclosed my ways with hewn stone, he hath made my paths crooked.
10 He was unto me as a bear lying in wait, and as a lion in secret places.
11 He hath turned aside my ways, and pulled me in pieces: he hath made me desolate.

22 It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.
23 They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.
24 The Lord is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him.
25 The Lord is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him.
26 It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the Lord.
27 It is good for a man that he bear the yoke in his youth.
28 He sitteth alone and keepeth silence, because he hath borne it upon him.
29 He putteth his mouth in the dust; if so be there may be hope.
30 He giveth his cheek to him that smiteth him: he is filled full with reproach.
31 For the Lord will not cast off for ever:
32 But though he cause grief, yet will he have compassion according to the multitude of his mercies.
33 For he doth not afflict willingly nor grieve the children of men.
34 To crush under his feet all the prisoners of the earth.
35 To turn aside the right of a man before the face of the most High,
36 To subvert a man in his cause, the Lord approveth not.
37 Who is he that saith, and it cometh to pass, when the Lord commandeth it not?
38 Out of the mouth of the most High proceedeth not evil and good?
39 Wherefore doth a living man complain, a man for the punishment of his sins?
40 Let us search and try our ways, and turn again to the Lord.
41 Let us lift up our heart with our hands unto God in the heavens.
42 We have transgressed and have rebelled: thou hast not pardoned.
43 Thou hast covered with anger, and persecuted us: thou hast slain, thou hast not pitied.
44 Thou hast covered thyself with a cloud, that our prayer should not pass through.
45 Thou hast made us as the offscouring and refuse in the midst of the people.
46 All our enemies have opened their mouths against us.
47 Fear and a snare is come upon us, desolation and destruction.
48 Mine eye runneth down with rivers of water for the destruction of the daughter of my people.
49 Mine eye trickleth down, and ceaseth not, without any intermission.
50 Till the Lord look down, and behold from heaven.
51 Mine eye affecteth mine heart because of all the daughters of my city.
52 Mine enemies chased me sore, like a bird, without cause.
53 They have cut off my life in the dungeon, and cast a stone upon me.
54 Waters flowed over mine head; then I said, I am cut off.
55 I called upon thy name, O Lord, out of the low dungeon.
56 Thou hast heard my voice: hide not thine ear at my breathing, at my cry.
57 Thou drewest near in the day that I called upon thee: thou saidst, Fear not.
58 O Lord, thou hast pleaded the causes of my soul; thou hast redeemed my life.
59 O Lord, thou hast seen my wrong: judge thou my cause.
60 Thou hast seen all their vengeance and all their imaginations against me.
61 Thou hast heard their reproach, O Lord, and all their imaginations against me;
62 The lips of those that rose up against me, and their device against me all the day.
63 Behold their sitting down, and their rising up; I am their musick.
64 Render unto them a recompence, O Lord, according to the work of their hands.
65 Give them sorrow of heart, thy curse unto them.
66 Persecute and destroy them in anger from under the heavens of the Lord.
