耶稣的弟弟不信祂
7 之后，耶稣周游加利利，不愿去犹太地区，因为犹太人想要杀祂。 2 犹太人的住棚节快到了， 3 耶稣的弟弟们对祂说：“离开这里，去犹太过节吧，好让你的门徒在那里也看见你所做的啊！ 4 因为人想出名，都不会暗地里行事，你既然可以做这些事，就把自己显给世人看吧！” 5 原来连祂的弟弟们也不信祂。
6 耶稣对他们说：“我的时候还没有到，你们什么时候都很方便。 7 世人不会恨你们，只会恨我，因为我指证他们行为邪恶。 8 你们先去过节吧，我现在还不上去，因为我的时候还没有到。” 9 耶稣说完这些话，仍留在加利利。
耶稣过住棚节
10 他们走了以后，耶稣避开了人们的注意，暗地里上去过节。 11 节期到了，犹太人到处查问：“耶稣在哪里？”
12 众人对祂议论纷纷，有些人说：“祂是好人，”有些说：“不，祂欺骗民众。” 13 不过，没有人敢公开议论祂的事，因为害怕犹太人。
14 节期约过了一半，耶稣来到圣殿教导人。 15 犹太人感到惊奇，说：“这个人没有受过教育，怎么懂得这么多呢？”
16 耶稣说：“我的教导不是出于我自己，而是出于差我来的那位。 17 如果你们愿意遵行上帝的旨意，就能分辨这些教导是出于上帝，还是出于我自己。 18 凭自己讲论的人是要寻求自己的荣耀，但人子真实无伪，毫无不义，祂是为了使差祂来的那位得荣耀。 19 摩西不是把律法传给了你们吗？你们却没有一个人遵守。为什么想要杀我呢？”
20 众人回答说：“你一定是被鬼附身了！谁要杀你啊？”
21 耶稣说：“我行了一件神迹，你们都感到惊奇。 22 摩西把割礼传给你们，你们也在安息日行割礼。其实割礼不是摩西定的，而是从祖先们的时代就有了。 23 为了避免违背摩西的律法，行割礼的那一天就算是安息日，你们还是照行。那么，我在安息日使一个病人完全康复，你们为什么责怪我呢？ 24 不要根据外表来断定是非，要按公义的原则判断。”
耶稣是基督吗
25 有些住在耶路撒冷的人说：“这不是他们要杀的那个人吗？ 26 你看祂这样公开讲道，居然没有人说什么，难道官长也真的认为祂是基督吗？ 27 可是基督来的时候，根本没有人知道祂从哪里来，我们却知道这个人是从哪里来的。”
28 于是，耶稣在圣殿里高声教导人说：“你们知道我是谁，也知道我是从哪里来的。其实我来不是出于自己的意思，差我来的那位是真实的，你们不认识祂。 29 但我认识祂，因为我是从祂那里来的，差我来的就是祂。” 30 他们听了，想捉拿耶稣，只是没有人下手，因为祂的时候还没有到。
31 人群中有许多人信了耶稣，他们说：“基督来的时候所行的神迹，难道会比这个人行得更多吗？”
32 法利赛人听见众人这样议论耶稣，就联合祭司长派差役去抓祂。 33 耶稣对众人说：“我暂时还会跟你们在一起，不久我要回到差我来的那位那里。 34 那时你们要找我却找不到，你们也不能去我所在的地方。”
35 犹太人彼此议论说：“祂要去哪里使我们找不着呢？难道祂要到我们犹太人侨居的希腊各地去教导希腊人吗？ 36 祂说我们找不到祂，又不能去祂所在的地方，是什么意思？”
活水的江河
37 节期最后一天，也是整个节期的高潮，耶稣站起来高声说：“人若渴了，可以到我这里来喝。 38 正如圣经所言，信我的人，‘从他里面要流出活水的江河来’。” 39 耶稣这话是指信祂的人要得到圣灵，但当时圣灵还没有降临，因为耶稣还没有得到荣耀。
40 听见这些话后，有些人说：“祂真是那位先知。” 41 也有些人说：“祂是基督。”还有些人说：“不会吧，基督怎么会出自加利利呢？ 42 圣经上不是说基督是大卫的后裔，要降生在大卫的故乡伯利恒吗？” 43 众人因为对耶稣的看法不同，就起了纷争。 44 有些人想抓祂，只是没有人下手。
犹太官长不信耶稣
45 祭司长和法利赛人看见差役空手回来，就问：“你们为什么不把祂带来呢？”
46 差役答道：“从未有人像祂那样说话！”
47 法利赛人说：“难道你们也被祂迷惑了吗？ 48 哪有官长和法利赛人信祂呢？ 49 这群不明白律法的民众该受咒诅！”
50 曾经夜访耶稣、属于他们当中一员的尼哥德慕说： 51 “难道不听被告申辩，不查明事实真相，我们的律法就定祂的罪吗？”
52 他们回答说：“难道你也是加利利人吗？你去查查看，就会知道没有先知是从加利利来的。”

7 És ezek után Galileában jár vala Jézus; mert nem akar vala Júdeában járni, mivelhogy azon igyekezének a Júdeabeliek, hogy õt megöljék.
2 Közel vala pedig a zsidók ünnepe, a sátoros ünnep.
3 Mondának azért néki az õ atyjafiai: Menj el innen, és térj Júdeába, hogy a te tanítványaid is lássák a te dolgaidat, a melyeket cselekszel.
4 Mert senki sem cselekszik titkon semmit, a ki maga ismeretessé akar lenni. Ha ilyeneket cselekszel, mutasd meg magadat a világnak.
5 Mert az õ atyjafiai sem hivének benne.
6 Monda azért nékik Jézus: Az én idõm még nincs itt; a ti idõtök pedig mindig készen van.
7 Titeket nem gyûlölhet a világ, de engem gyûlöl; mert én bizonyságot teszek felõle, hogy az õ cselekedetei gonoszak.
8 Ti menjetek fel erre az ünnepre: én még nem megyek fel erre az ünnepre; mert az én idõm még nem tölt be.
9 Ezeket mondván pedig nékik, marada Galileában.
10 A mint pedig felmenének az õ atyjafiai, akkor õ is felméne az ünnepre, nem nyilvánosan, hanem mintegy titkon.

12 És a sokaságban nagy zúgás vala õ miatta. Némelyek azt mondják vala, hogy jó ember; mások pedig azt mondják vala: Nem, hanem a népnek hitetõje.
13 Mindamellett senki sem beszélt vala nyiltan õ felõle a zsidóktól való félelem miatt.
14 Már-már az ünnep közepén azonban felméne Jézus a templomba, és tanít vala.
15 És csodálkozának a zsidók, mondván: Mimódon tudja ez az írásokat, holott nem tanulta?!
16 Felele nékik Jézus és monda: Az én tudományom nem az enyém, hanem azé, a ki küldött engem.
17 Ha valaki cselekedni akarja az õ akaratát, megismerheti e tudományról, vajjon Istentõl van-é, vagy én magamtól szólok?
18 A ki magától szól, a maga dicsõségét keresi; a ki pedig annak dicsõségét keresi, a ki küldte õt, igaz az, és nincs abban hamisság.
19 Nem Mózes adta-é néktek a törvényt? és senki sem teljesíti közületek a törvényt. Miért akartok engem megölni?
20 Felele a sokaság és monda: Ördög van benned. Ki akar téged megölni?
21 Felele Jézus és monda nékik: Egy dolgot cselekvém, és mindnyájan csodáljátok.
22 Azért Mózes adta néktek a körülmetélkedést (nem mintha Mózestõl való volna, hanem az atyáktól): és szombaton körülmetélitek az embert.
23 Ha körülmetélhetõ az ember szombaton, hogy a Mózes törvénye meg ne romoljon; én rám haragusztok-é, hogy egy embert egészen meggyógyítottam szombaton?
24 Ne ítéljetek a látszat után, hanem igaz ítélettel ítéljetek!
25 Mondának azért némelyek a jeruzsálemiek közül: Nem ez-é az, a kit meg akarnak ölni?
26 És ímé nyiltan szól, és semmit sem szólnak néki. Talán bizony megismerték a fõemberek, hogy bizony ez a Krisztus?
27 De jól tudjuk, honnan való ez; mikor pedig eljõ a Krisztus, senki sem tudja, honnan való.
28 Kiálta azért Jézus a templomban, tanítván és mondván: Mind engem ismertek, mind azt tudjátok, honnan való vagyok; és én magamtól nem jöttem, de igaz az, a ki engem elküldött, a kit ti nem ismertek.
29 Én azonban ismerem õt, mert õ tõle vagyok, és õ küldött engem.
30 Akarják vala azért õt megfogni; de senki sem veté reá a kezét, mert nem jött még el az õ órája.
31 A sokaság közül pedig sokan hivének õ benne; és azt mondják vala, hogy: A Krisztus mikor eljõ, tehet-é majd több csodát azoknál, a melyeket ez tett?
32 Meghallák a farizeusok, a mint a sokaság ezeket suttogja vala felõle; és szolgákat küldének a farizeusok és a fõpapok, hogy fogják meg õt.
33 Monda azért nékik Jézus: Egy kevés ideig még veletek vagyok, és majd ahhoz megyek, a ki elküldött engem.
34 Kerestek majd engem, és nem találtok meg, és a hol én vagyok, ti nem jöhettek oda.
35 Mondának azért a zsidók magok között: Hová akar ez menni, hogy mi majd nem találjuk meg õt? Vajjon a görögök közé szóródottakhoz akar-é menni, és a görögöket tanítani?
36 Micsoda beszéd ez, a melyet monda: Kerestek majd engem, és nem találtok meg; és a hol én vagyok, ti nem jöhettek oda?
37 Az ünnep utolsó nagy napján pedig felálla Jézus és kiálta, mondván: Ha valaki szomjúhozik, jõjjön én hozzám, és igyék.
38 A ki hisz én bennem, a mint az írás mondotta, élõ víznek folyamai ömlenek annak belsejébõl.
39 Ezt pedig mondja vala a Lélekrõl, a melyet veendõk valának az õ benne hívõk: mert még nem vala Szent Lélek; mivelhogy Jézus még nem dicsõítteték meg.
40 Sokan azért a sokaság közül, a mint hallák e beszédet, ezt mondják vala: Bizonynyal ez ama Próféta.
41 Némelyek mondának: Ez a Krisztus. Mások pedig mondának: Csak nem Galileából jön el a Krisztus?
42 Nem az írás mondta-é, hogy a Dávid magvából, és Bethlehembõl, ama városból jön el a Krisztus, a hol Dávid vala?
43 Hasonlás lõn azért õ miatta a sokaságban.
44 Némelyek pedig közûlök akarják vala õt megfogni, de senki sem veté reá a kezét.
45 Elmenének azért a szolgák a fõpapokhoz és farizeusokhoz; és mondának azok õ nékik: Miért nem hoztátok el õt?
46 Felelének a szolgák: Soha ember úgy nem szólott, mint ez az ember!
47 Felelének azért nékik a farizeusok: Vajjon ti is el vagytok-é hitetve?
48 Vajjon a fõemberek vagy a farizeusok közül hitt-é benne valaki?
49 De ez a sokaság, a mely nem ismeri a törvényt, átkozott!
50 Monda nékik Nikodémus, a ki éjjel ment vala õ hozzá, a ki egy vala azok közül:
51 Vajjon a mi törvényünk kárhoztatja-é az embert, ha elõbb ki nem hallgatja és nem tudja, hogy mit cselekszik?
52 Felelének és mondának néki: Vajjon te is Galileus vagy-é? Tudakozódjál és lásd meg, hogy Galileából nem támadt próféta.
53 És mindnyájan haza menének.

Jesus comes to Jerusalem at the feast, teaches the Jews, and reproves them. There are different opinions of him among the people. The Pharisees rebuke the temple officers because they have not seized him, and chide Nicodemus for taking his part.
7 After that, Jesus went about in Galilee, and would not go about in Judea, because the Jews were seeking to kill him. 2 The Jews’ tabernacle feast was at hand. 3 His brethren therefore said to him, Go on, and go into Judea, so that your disciples can see the works that you do. 4 For there is no man who does anything secretly when he himself seeks to be known openly. If you do such things, show yourself to the world. 5 (For as yet his brethren did not believe in him.)
6 Then Jesus said to them, My time is not yet come, but your time is always at hand. 7 The world cannot hate you, but me it hates, because I testify of it that its works are evil. 8 You go up to this feast. I will not go up yet to this feast, for my time is not yet full come.
9 These words he said to them, and remained still in Galilee. 10 But as soon as his brethren had gone up, then he also went up to the feast, not openly, but as it were, privately.
11 Then the Jews were looking for him at the feast, and said, Where is he? 12 And there was much murmuring concerning him among the people. Some said, He is good, and others said, No, but he deceives the people. 13 However no one spoke openly about him, for fear of the Jews.
14 Midway through the feast, Jesus went up into the temple and taught. 15 And the Jews marvelled, saying, How does he know the scriptures, seeing that he was never taught?
16 Jesus answered them and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his who sent me. 17 If any person desires to do his will, he will know concerning the doctrine, whether it is of God or whether I speak of myself. 18 He who speaks of himself seeks his own glory. But he who seeks the glory of the one who sent him, such a person is true, and no unrighteousness is in him. 19 Did not Moses give you a law? And yet none of you keeps the law. Why are you going about to kill me?
20 The people answered and said, You have a devil. Who is going about to kill you?
21 Jesus answered and said to them, I have done one work, and you are all troubled. 22 Moses gave you circumcision, not because it is from Moses, but from the fathers. And yet you on the Sabbath day circumcise a man. 23 If a man on the Sabbath day may receive circumcision without breaking the law of Moses, do you take offence at me because I have made a man every whit whole on the Sabbath day? 24 Do not judge according to the outward appearance, but judge with righteous judgment.
25 Then some of the people of Jerusalem said, Is this not the man they are going about to kill? 26 Look, he speaks boldly, but they say nothing to him. Do the rulers know indeed that this is the very Christ? 27 But we know this man, where he is from, and when Christ comes, no one will know where he is from.
28 Then Jesus cried out in the temple as he taught, saying, You know me; and where I am from, you know. And yet I am not come of myself, but he who sent me is true, whom you do not know. 29 I know him, for I am of him, and he has sent me.
30 Then they would have apprehended him, but no man laid hands on him, because his time was not yet come. 31 Many of the people believed on him and said, When Christ comes, will he do more miracles than this man has done?
32 The Pharisees heard that the people rumoured such things about him. So then the Pharisees and high priests sent officers forth to seize him. 33 Then Jesus said to them, Yet a little while I am with you, and then I go to him who sent me. 34 You will seek me, and will not find me; and where I am, there you cannot come.
35 Then the Jews said between themselves, Where will he go, that we will not find him? Will he go among the Gentiles, who are scattered all abroad, and teach the Gentiles? 36 What manner of saying is this that he said: You will seek me, and will not find me, and where I am, there you cannot come?
37 In the last day, the great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, If anyone thirsts, let him come unto me and drink. 38 He who believes on me, as says the scripture, out of his belly shall flow rivers of the water of life.
39 He spoke this of the Spirit, which those who believed on him would receive. For the Holy Spirit was not yet there, because Jesus was not yet glorified. 40 Many of the people, when they heard this saying, said, Of a truth, this is a prophet. 41 Others said, This is the Christ. Some said, Will the Christ come out of Galilee? 42 Does the scripture not say that Christ will come of the seed of David, and out of the town of Bethlehem, where David was?
43 So was there dissension among the people about him. 44 And some of them wanted to seize him, but no man laid hands on him.
45 Then the officers went to the high priests and Pharisees, who said to them, Why have you not brought him? 46 The officers answered, Never did any man speak as this man does. 47 Then the Pharisees answered them, Are you also deceived? 48 Do any of the rulers or of the Pharisees believe on him? 49 But the common people, who do not know the law, are cursed.
50 Nicodemus (he who had come to Jesus by night, and was one of them) said to them, 51 Does our law judge any man before it hears him and knows what he has done? 52 They answered and said to him, Are you also of Galilee? Search and look, for no prophet arises out of Galilee.
53 And every man went to his own house.
