耶穌被捕
18 耶穌禱告完畢，就帶著門徒渡過汲淪溪，進了那裡的一個園子。 2 因為耶穌時常帶著門徒到那裡聚會，所以出賣耶穌的猶大也知道那地方。 3 這時，猶大帶著一隊士兵以及祭司長和法利賽人的差役，拿著燈籠、火把和兵器來了。 4 耶穌早就知道將要發生在自己身上的一切事，於是出來問他們：「你們找誰？」
5 他們回答說：「拿撒勒人耶穌！」
耶穌說：「我就是。」那時出賣耶穌的猶大也站在他們當中。
6 他們聽到耶穌說「我就是」，便後退跌倒在地上。
7 耶穌又問：「你們找誰？」
他們說：「拿撒勒人耶穌。」
8 耶穌說：「我已經告訴你們我就是。你們既然找我，就讓這些人走吧。」 9 這是要應驗祂以前說的：「你賜給我的人一個也沒有失掉。」
10 這時，西門·彼得帶著一把刀，他拔刀向大祭司的奴僕馬勒古砍去，削掉了他的右耳。
11 耶穌對彼得說：「收刀入鞘吧！我父賜給我的杯，我怎能不喝呢？」
12 千夫長帶著士兵和猶太人的差役上前把耶穌捆綁起來，帶了回去。 13 他們押著耶穌去見亞那，就是那一年的大祭司該亞法的岳父。 14 這個該亞法以前曾對猶太人建議說：「讓祂一個人替眾人死對你們更好。」
彼得不認主
15 西門·彼得和另一個門徒跟在耶穌後面。由於那門徒和大祭司認識，他就跟著耶穌來到大祭司的院子。 16 彼得留在門外。後來，大祭司所認識的那個門徒出來對看門的女僕說了一聲，便把彼得也帶了進去。
17 看門的女僕問彼得：「你不也是這個人的門徒嗎？」
他說：「我不是。」
18 天氣很冷，奴僕和差役生了一堆火，站著烤火取暖，彼得也跟他們站在一起烤火取暖。 19 此時，大祭司正在盤問耶穌有關祂的門徒和祂的教導之事。
20 耶穌說：「我是公開對世人講的，我常在猶太人聚集的會堂和聖殿教導人，沒有在背地裡講過什麼。 21 你何必問我呢？問那些聽過我講的人吧，他們知道我講過什麼。」
22 耶穌話才說完，站在旁邊的差役就打了祂一耳光，說：「你敢這樣回答大祭司！」
23 耶穌說：「如果我說錯了，你可以指出我錯在哪裡。如果我說的對，你為什麼打我呢？」
24 亞那把被捆綁起來的耶穌押到大祭司該亞法那裡。
25 那時西門·彼得仍然站著烤火，有人問他：「你不也是那人的門徒嗎？」
彼得否認說：「我不是！」
26 一個大祭司的奴僕，就是被彼得削掉耳朵的那個人的親戚說：「我不是看見你和祂一起在園子裡嗎？」 27 彼得再次否認。就在那時，雞叫了。
彼拉多審問耶穌
28 黎明的時候，眾人從該亞法那裡把耶穌押往總督府，他們自己卻沒有進去，因為怕沾染污穢，不能吃逾越節的晚餐。 29 彼拉多出來問他們：「你們控告這個人什麼罪？」
30 他們回答說：「如果祂沒有為非作歹，我們也不會把祂送到你這裡來。」
31 彼拉多說：「你們把祂帶走，按照你們的律法去審理吧。」
猶太人說：「可是我們無權把人處死。」 32 這是要應驗耶穌預言自己會怎樣死的話。
33 彼拉多回到總督府提審耶穌，問道：「你是猶太人的王嗎？」
34 耶穌回答說：「你這樣問是你自己的意思還是聽別人說的？」
35 彼拉多說：「難道我是猶太人嗎？是你們猶太人和祭司長把你送來的。你到底犯了什麼罪？」
36 耶穌答道：「我的國不屬於這個世界，如果我的國屬於這個世界，我的臣僕早就起來爭戰了，我也不會被交在猶太人的手裡。但我的國不屬於這個世界。」
37 於是彼拉多對祂說：「那麼，你是王嗎？」
耶穌說：「你說我是王，我正是為此而生，也為此來到世上為真理做見證，屬於真理的人都聽從我的話。」
38 彼拉多說：「真理是什麼？」說完了，又到外面對猶太人說：「我查不出祂有什麼罪。 39 不過按照慣例，在逾越節的時候，我要給你們釋放一個人。現在，你們要我釋放這個猶太人的王嗎？」
40 眾人又高喊：「不要這個人！我們要巴拉巴！」巴拉巴是個強盜。
John 18
Young's Literal Translation
18 These things having said, Jesus went forth with his disciples beyond the brook of Kedron, where was a garden, into which he entered, himself and his disciples,
2 and Judas also, who delivered him up, had known the place, because many times did Jesus assemble there with his disciples.
3 Judas, therefore, having taken the band and officers out of the chief priests and Pharisees, doth come thither with torches and lamps, and weapons;
4 Jesus, therefore, knowing all things that are coming upon him, having gone forth, said to them, `Whom do ye seek?'
5 they answered him, `Jesus the Nazarene;' Jesus saith to them, `I am [he];' -- and Judas who delivered him up was standing with them; --
6 when, therefore, he said to them -- `I am [he],' they went away backward, and fell to the ground.
7 Again, therefore, he questioned them, `Whom do ye seek?' and they said, `Jesus the Nazarene;'
8 Jesus answered, `I said to you that I am [he]; if, then, me ye seek, suffer these to go away;'
9 that the word might be fulfilled that he said -- `Those whom Thou hast given to me, I did not lose of them even one.'
10 Simon Peter, therefore, having a sword, drew it, and struck the chief priest's servant, and cut off his right ear -- and the name of the servant was Malchus --
11 Jesus, therefore, said to Peter, `Put the sword into the sheath; the cup that the Father hath given to me, may I not drink it?'
12 The band, therefore, and the captain, and the officers of the Jews, took hold on Jesus, and bound him,
13 and they led him away to Annas first, for he was father-in-law of Caiaphas, who was chief priest of that year,
14 and Caiaphas was he who gave counsel to the Jews, that it is good for one man to perish for the people.
15 And following Jesus was Simon Peter, and the other disciple, and that disciple was known to the chief priest, and he entered with Jesus to the hall of the chief priest,
16 and Peter was standing at the door without, therefore went forth the other disciple who was known to the chief priest, and he spake to the female keeping the door, and he brought in Peter.
17 Then said the maid keeping the door to Peter, `Art thou also of the disciples of this man?' he saith, `I am not;'
18 and the servants and the officers were standing, having made a fire of coals, because it was cold, and they were warming themselves, and Peter was standing with them, and warming himself.
19 The chief priests, therefore, questioned Jesus concerning his disciples, and concerning his teaching;
20 Jesus answered him, `I spake freely to the world, I did always teach in a synagogue, and in the temple, where the Jews do always come together; and in secret I spake nothing;
21 why me dost thou question? question those having heard what I spake to them; lo, these have known what I said.'
22 And he having said these things, one of the officers standing by did give Jesus a slap, saying, `Thus dost thou answer the chief priest?'
23 Jesus answered him, `If I spake ill, testify concerning the ill; and if well, why me dost thou smite?'
24 Annas then sent him bound to Caiaphas the chief priest.
25 And Simon Peter was standing and warming himself, they said then to him, `Art thou also of his disciples?' he denied, and said, `I am not.'
26 One of the servants of the chief priest, being kinsman of him whose ear Peter cut off, saith, `Did not I see thee in the garden with him?'
27 again, therefore, Peter denied, and immediately a cock crew.
28 They led, therefore, Jesus from Caiaphas to the praetorium, and it was early, and they themselves did not enter into the praetorium, that they might not be defiled, but that they might eat the passover;
29 Pilate, therefore, went forth unto them, and said, `What accusation do ye bring against this man?'
30 they answered and said to him, `If he were not an evil doer, we had not delivered him to thee.'
31 Pilate, therefore, said to them, `Take ye him -- ye -- and according to your law judge him;' the Jews, therefore, said to him, `It is not lawful to us to put any one to death;'
32 that the word of Jesus might be fulfilled which he said, signifying by what death he was about to die.
33 Pilate, therefore, entered into the praetorium again, and called Jesus, and said to him, `Thou art the King of the Jews?'
34 Jesus answered him, `From thyself dost thou say this? or did others say it to thee about me?'
35 Pilate answered, `Am I a Jew? thy nation, and the chief priests did deliver thee up to me; what didst thou?'
36 Jesus answered, `My kingdom is not of this world; if my kingdom were of this world, my officers had struggled that I might not be delivered up to Jews; but now my kingdom is not from hence.'
37 Pilate, therefore, said to him, `Art thou then a king?' Jesus answered, `Thou dost say [it]; because a king I am, I for this have been born, and for this I have come to the world, that I may testify to the truth; every one who is of the truth, doth hear my voice.'
38 Pilate saith to him, `What is truth?' and this having said, again he went forth unto the Jews, and saith to them, `I do find no fault in him;
39 and ye have a custom that I shall release to you one in the passover; will ye, therefore, [that] I shall release to you the king of the Jews?'
40 therefore they all cried out again, saying, `Not this one -- but Barabbas;' and Barabbas was a robber.

Arresto de Jesús
18 Al terminar de orar, Jesús salió con sus discípulos y cruzó el arroyo de Cedrón. Al otro lado había un huerto al cual entraron. 2 Judas, el que lo traicionaba, también conocía el lugar, porque Jesús había estado reunido allí muchas veces con sus discípulos. 3 Así que Judas llegó al huerto, al frente de una tropa de soldados y guardias de los jefes de los sacerdotes y de los fariseos. Iban armados y llevaban antorchas y lámparas. 4 Jesús, que ya sabía lo que le iba a pasar, les salió al encuentro.
Les preguntó:
―¿A quién buscan?
5 Ellos contestaron:
―A Jesús de Nazaret.
―Yo soy.[a]
Judas, el que lo traicionaba, estaba con ellos.
6 Cuando Jesús les dijo: «Yo soy», cayeron de espaldas al suelo.
7 Jesús volvió a preguntarles:
―¿A quién buscan?
Ellos contestaron:
―A Jesús de Nazaret.
8 Jesús dijo:
―Ya les dije que soy yo. Si me buscan a mí, dejen que estos se vayan.
9 Esto sucedió para que se cumpliera lo que él había dicho: «Ninguno de los que me diste se perdió».
10 Simón Pedro sacó una espada que traía y le cortó la oreja derecha a Malco, que era criado del sumo sacerdote.
11 Jesús le ordenó a Pedro:
―¡Guarda esa espada en su funda! Si mi Padre me da a beber un trago amargo, ¿acaso no lo voy a beber?
Jesús ante Anás
12 Entonces los soldados, con su comandante, y los guardias de los judíos, arrestaron a Jesús y lo ataron.
13 Lo llevaron primero ante Anás, que era suegro de Caifás, el sumo sacerdote ese año. 14 Caifás era el que había aconsejado a los judíos que era mejor que muriera un solo hombre por el pueblo.
Pedro niega a Jesús
15 Simón Pedro y otro discípulo seguían a Jesús. Como al otro discípulo lo conocía el sumo sacerdote, entró con Jesús en el patio del sumo sacerdote. 16 Pero Pedro tuvo que quedarse afuera, junto a la puerta. El discípulo al que conocía el sumo sacerdote, salió y habló con la portera y consiguió que Pedro entrara.
17 La portera le preguntó:
―¿No eres tú uno de los discípulos de ese hombre?
Pedro contestó:
―No lo soy.
18 Como hacía frío, los criados y los guardias habían hecho una fogata para calentarse. Todos estaban de pie alrededor de la fogata, y Pedro también estaba con ellos calentándose.
Jesús ante el sumo sacerdote
19 Mientras tanto, el sumo sacerdote empezó a preguntarle a Jesús acerca de sus discípulos y de sus enseñanzas.
20 Jesús le respondió:
―Yo he hablado delante de todo el mundo. Siempre he enseñado en las sinagogas o en el templo, donde se reúnen todos los judíos. No he dicho nada en secreto. 21 ¿Por qué me preguntas a mí? Pregunta a los que me han oído hablar. Ellos saben lo que dije.
22 Cuando Jesús dijo esto, uno de los guardias que estaba allí cerca le dio una bofetada y le dijo:
―¿Así le contestas al sumo sacerdote?
23 Jesús respondió:
―Si he dicho algo malo, dime qué fue. Pero si lo que dije está bien, ¿por qué me pegas?
24 Entonces Anás lo envió atado ante el sumo sacerdote Caifás.
Pedro niega de nuevo a Jesús
25 Mientras tanto, Simón Pedro seguía de pie, calentándose.
Le preguntaron:
―¿No eres tú uno de sus discípulos?
Pedro, negándolo, dijo:
―No lo soy.
26 Uno de los criados del sumo sacerdote, que era pariente de aquel al que Pedro le había cortado la oreja, le preguntó:
―¿No te vi con él en el huerto?
27 Pedro lo negó una vez más y en ese momento el gallo cantó.
Jesús ante Pilato
28 Luego los judíos llevaron a Jesús de la casa de Caifás al palacio del gobernador romano. Como ya amanecía, los judíos no entraron al palacio, pues si lo hacían se contaminarían de acuerdo con sus ritos y no podrían comer la Pascua. 29 Por eso Pilato salió a preguntarles:
―¿De qué acusan a este hombre?
30 Ellos contestaron:
―Si no fuera un criminal, no te lo habríamos traído.
31 Pilato les dijo:
―Pues llévenselo ustedes y júzguenlo de acuerdo con su propia ley.
Los judíos le respondieron:
―Nosotros no tenemos ninguna autoridad para dar muerte a nadie.
32 Esto sucedió para que se cumpliera lo que Jesús había dicho, en cuanto a la forma en que iba a morir.
33 Pilato volvió a entrar al palacio y llamó a Jesús.
Le preguntó:
―¿Eres tú el rey de los judíos?
34 Jesús le respondió:
―¿Dices eso por tu propia cuenta o es que otros te han hablado de mí?
35 Pilato le contestó:
―¿Acaso soy judío? Fue tu propio pueblo y los jefes de los sacerdotes los que te entregaron a mí. ¿Qué hiciste?
36 Jesús contestó:
―Mi reino no es de este mundo. Si lo fuera, mis servidores pelearían para que no me entregaran a los judíos. Pero mi reino no es de este mundo.
37 Pilato le dijo:
―Entonces eres rey.
Jesús le respondió:
―Tú eres el que dices que soy rey. Yo para esto nací y vine al mundo: para hablar de la verdad. Todo el que está de parte de la verdad, me escucha.
38 Pilato preguntó:
―¿Y qué es la verdad?
Luego de decir esto, salió otra vez a ver a los judíos.
Él dijo:
―Yo no encuentro a este culpable de nada. 39 Pero como ustedes tienen la costumbre de que yo libere a un preso durante la Pascua, ¿quieren que libere al “rey de los judíos”?
40 Ellos volvieron a gritar:
―¡No! ¡No sueltes a este, suelta a Barrabás!
Y Barrabás era un bandido.
