14 「你們心裡不要憂愁，你們信神，也當信我。 2 在我父的家裡有許多住處，若是沒有，我就早已告訴你們了，我去原是為你們預備地方去。 3 我若去為你們預備了地方，就必再來接你們到我那裡去，我在哪裡，叫你們也在哪裡。 4 我往哪裡去你們知道，那條路你們也知道。[a]」 5 多馬對他說：「主啊，我們不知道你往哪裡去，怎麼知道那條路呢？」
主為道路真理生命
6 耶穌說：「我就是道路、真理、生命。若不藉著我，沒有人能到父那裡去。 7 你們若認識我，也就認識我的父。從今以後，你們認識他，並且已經看見他。」 8 腓力對他說：「求主將父顯給我們看，我們就知足了。」 9 耶穌對他說：「腓力，我與你們同在這樣長久，你還不認識我嗎？人看見了我，就是看見了父，你怎麼說『將父顯給我們看』呢？ 10 我在父裡面，父在我裡面，你不信嗎？我對你們所說的話，不是憑著自己說的，乃是住在我裡面的父做他自己的事。 11 你們當信我，我在父裡面，父在我裡面；即或不信，也當因我所做的事信我。 12 我實實在在地告訴你們：我所做的事，信我的人也要做，並且要做比這更大的事，因為我往父那裡去。 13 你們奉我的名無論求什麼，我必成就，叫父因兒子得榮耀。 14 你們若奉我名求告什麼，我必成就。 15 你們若愛我，就必遵守我的命令。
應許賜保惠師
16 「我要求父，父就另外賜給你們一位保惠師[b]，叫他永遠與你們同在， 17 就是真理的聖靈，乃世人不能接受的，因為不見他，也不認識他。你們卻認識他，因他常與你們同在，也要在你們裡面。 18 我不撇下你們為孤兒，我必到你們這裡來。 19 還有不多的時候，世人不再看見我，你們卻看見我，因為我活著，你們也要活著。 20 到那日，你們就知道我在父裡面，你們在我裡面，我也在你們裡面。
愛主的必遵守主道
21 「有了我的命令又遵守的，這人就是愛我的。愛我的必蒙我父愛他，我也要愛他，並且要向他顯現。」 22 猶大（不是加略人猶大）問耶穌說：「主啊，為什麼要向我們顯現，不向世人顯現呢？」 23 耶穌回答說：「人若愛我，就必遵守我的道，我父也必愛他，並且我們要到他那裡去，與他同住。 24 不愛我的人就不遵守我的道；你們所聽見的道不是我的，乃是差我來之父的道。
25 「我還與你們同住的時候，已將這些話對你們說了。 26 但保惠師，就是父因我的名所要差來的聖靈，他要將一切的事指教你們，並且要叫你們想起我對你們所說的一切話。 27 我留下平安給你們，我將我的平安賜給你們。我所賜的不像世人所賜的，你們心裡不要憂愁，也不要膽怯。 28 你們聽見我對你們說了，我去，還要到你們這裡來。你們若愛我，因我到父那裡去，就必喜樂，因為父是比我大的。 29 現在事情還沒有成就，我預先告訴你們，叫你們到事情成就的時候，就可以信。 30 以後我不再和你們多說話，因為這世界的王將到；他在我裡面是毫無所有， 31 但要叫世人知道我愛父，並且父怎樣吩咐我，我就怎樣行。起來，我們走吧！」

14 “Đừng để tâm trí các con bị bối rối. Đã tin Đức Chúa Trời, các con cũng hãy tin Ta nữa. 2 Trong nhà Cha Ta có nhiều chỗ ở. Nếu không, Ta đã nói cho các con rồi. Ta ra đi để sửa soạn chỗ ở cho các con; 3 nếu Ta đi và sửa soạn một chỗ cho các con, Ta cũng sẽ trở lại đón các con về với Ta, để Ta ở đâu các con cũng ở đó. 4 Các con biết đường đến nơi Ta đi.”
5 Thô-ma lên tiếng: “Thưa Chúa, chúng con không rõ Chúa đi đâu, làm sao biết đường?”
6 Đức Giê-su đáp: “Ta chính là con đường, chân lý và sự sống, chẳng bởi Ta thì không ai đến cùng Cha được. 7 Nếu các con đã biết rõ Ta, các con cũng sẽ biết rõ Cha Ta. Từ nay, các con biết được Ngài và thấy rõ Ngài.”
8 Phi-líp thưa: “Thưa Chúa, xin chỉ Cha cho chúng con thì cũng đủ rồi.”
9 Đức Giê-su đáp: “Phi-líp, Ta từng ở với các con bấy lâu mà con chưa biết Ta sao? Người nào thấy Ta là đã thấy Cha. Vậy sao con còn nói: Xin chỉ Cha cho chúng con. 10 Con không tin rằng Ta ở trong Cha và Cha ở trong Ta sao? Những lời Ta truyền dạy các con chẳng phải Ta tự nói ra, nhưng chính Cha là Đấng đang ngự trong Ta thực hiện công việc của Ngài. 11 Khi Ta bảo Ta ở trong Cha và Cha ở trong Ta, các con hãy tin lời Ta; bằng không, hãy căn cứ vào những việc Ta làm mà tin vậy. 12 Thật vậy, Ta bảo các con: Người nào tin Ta, thì cũng sẽ làm những việc Ta làm, và còn làm những việc vĩ đại hơn nữa, vì Ta trở về cùng Cha. 13 Bất cứ điều gì các con nhân danh Ta cầu xin, Ta sẽ làm cho, để Cha được tôn vinh trong Con. 14 Bất cứ điều gì các con nhân danh Ta cầu xin, thì chính Ta sẽ làm cho.
15 Nếu các con yêu kính Ta, các con sẽ giữ các điều răn Ta. 16 Ta sẽ xin Cha và Ngài sẽ ban cho các con một Đấng Phù Hộ ở cùng các con đời đời. 17 Ngài là Thần Chân Lý mà thế gian không thể tiếp nhận được, vì không thấy Ngài và cũng chẳng biết Ngài. Nhưng chính các con biết Ngài, vì Ngài đang ở với các con và sẽ ở trong các con. 18 Ta không để cho các con mồ côi đâu. Ta sẽ trở lại cùng các con.
19 Chẳng bao lâu, thế gian sẽ không còn thấy Ta nữa nhưng các con sẽ thấy Ta; vì Ta sống thì các con cũng sẽ sống. 20 Trong ngày ấy, các con sẽ biết rằng Ta ở trong Cha Ta như các con ở trong Ta và Ta ở trong các con. 21 Người nào yêu kính Ta thì tiếp nhận và tuân giữ các điều răn Ta. Cha Ta sẽ yêu quý người nào yêu kính Ta. Ta cũng yêu quý người và tỏ bày chính Ta cho người.”
22 Giu-đa (không phải là Giu-đa Ích-ca-ri-ốt) hỏi: “Thưa Chúa, sao Chúa lại tỏ mình cho chúng con mà không tỏ cho thế gian?”
23 Đức Giê-su đáp: “Ai yêu Ta sẽ vâng giữ lời Ta. Cha Ta sẽ yêu người, chúng ta sẽ đến ở với người đó. 24 Ai không yêu Ta thì không giữ lời Ta. Lời mà các con nghe đó chẳng phải của Ta nhưng của Cha là Đấng đã sai Ta.
25 Ta tỏ cho các con những điều này đang khi Ta còn ở với các con. 26 Nhưng Đấng Phù Hộ, tức là Thánh Linh mà Cha nhân danh Ta gửi đến, Ngài sẽ dạy dỗ mọi điều và nhắc lại cho các con nhớ tất cả những gì Ta đã truyền dạy các con. 27 Ta để lại sự bình an cho các con. Ta ban sự bình an Ta cho các con. Sự bình an Ta ban cho các con không phải như của thế gian cho. Lòng các con đừng nao sờn và sợ hãi.
28 Các con đã nghe Ta bảo: Ta sắp ra đi, nhưng Ta sẽ trở lại cùng các con; nếu các con yêu kính Ta, các con hẳn mừng rỡ vì Ta sắp về cùng Cha; Ngài cao trọng hơn Ta.
29 Giờ đây, Ta bảo trước cho các con, để khi những sự việc ấy xảy đến thì các con tin. 30 Ta sẽ không còn nói nhiều với các con nữa vì chúa tể thế gian này sắp đến, nó chẳng có quyền hành gì trên Ta cả. 31 Nhưng để thế gian biết rằng Ta yêu kính Cha, Ta làm theo tất cả những gì Cha truyền bảo. Đứng dậy, chúng ta hãy đi ra khỏi đây.”

14 “不要让内心感到忧愁，坚信上帝，坚信我吧。 2 我父家里有很多房间，（如果不是这样，我会告诉你们的，）我就要去为你们准备好地方。 3 我去为你们准备好地方后，还会再来，把你们接去和我同住，好让你们能到我所在的地方去。 4 你们知道我去哪个地方，要走哪条路。”
5 多马说∶“主，我们连您去哪儿都不知道，怎么能知道那条路呢？”
6 耶稣说∶“我就是道路、是真理、是生命，除非通过我，没人能到父那里去。 7 你们如果认识我，也会认识我父。从现在起，你们的确认识他，也看见过他。”
8 腓力对他说∶“主，让我们看看父吧，我们就满足了。”
9 耶稣说∶“我和你们在一起这么长时间，你们还不认识我吗，腓力？见过我的人就看见父了，你怎么能说∶‘让我们看看父，’呢？ 10 难道你们不相信父中有我，我中有父吗？我对你们说的话，不是出自我自己，而是活在我身体之中的父在进行他的工作。 11 相信我说的话，父中有我，我中有父，至少，因为我行的奇迹而相信我。 12 我实话告诉你们，信仰我的人，也会做我一直在做的事。实际上，他会做比这更了不起的事，因为我要去父那里了。 13 不论你们以我的名义请求什么，我都会为你们做，以便子给父带来荣耀。 14 如果你们以我的名义，向我要求任何事，我都会成全你们。
圣灵的诺言
15 “如果你们爱我，你们就会遵守我的命令， 16 我将请求父赐给你们另外一位帮手 [a]与你们永远在一起： 17 他是真理之灵 [b]，世人不能接受他，因为，世人既看不见他，也不认识他，但是，你们认识他，因为他与你们在一起，在你们心中。
18 我不会让你们成为孤儿，我会回到你们身边， 19 不久，世人将不会再看到我，但你们会看到我。因为我活着，你们也会活着。 20 在那天，你们会知道父中有我，我中有你们，你们之中也有我。 21 接受并遵守我的命令的人，是爱我的人；爱我的人将得到父亲的爱，我也爱他，并把自己向他展现。”
22 犹大（不是加略人犹大）对他说∶“主，您为什么只向我们展现你自己，而不向世人展现呢？”
23 耶稣告诉他∶“如果一个人爱我，他就会遵守我的教导，而且，我父也会爱他，我们会来到他那里，和他生活在一起。 24 不爱我的人，就不会遵守我的教导，你们听到这些话不是我的，而是派我来的父亲的。 25 所有这些都是我和你们在一起的时候说过的。不过你们的帮手－即父亲以我的名义派来的圣灵会教给你们一切， 26 他会提醒你们我告诉过你们的一切。”
27 “我把平安留给你们，我把自己的平安赐给你们，但是，我给你们的方式与这个世界给你们的方式不同。你们不要让内心受到困惑，也不要胆怯。 28 你们听见我对你们说∶‘我要走了，但是，我会回到你们这里的。’你们如果真正爱我，你们就应该高兴，因为，我要到父那里去，父比我伟大。 29 在事情发生之前，我先告诉了你们，所以，当它发生的时候，你们就会相信了。 30 我不能和你们多说了，因为，这个世界的统治者（魔鬼）就要来了。他对我无可奈何。 31 但是，世人必须知道我爱父，并且，完全按照父的命令做事。”
“起来！我们离开这里吧。”

Jesus Comforts His Disciples
14 “Do not let your hearts be troubled.(A) You believe(B) in God[a];(C) believe also in me. 2 My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there(D) to prepare a place for you? 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back(E) and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.(F) 4 You know the way to the place where I am going.”
Jesus the Way to the Father
5 Thomas(G) said to him, “Lord, we don’t know where you are going, so how can we know the way?”
6 Jesus answered, “I am(H) the way(I) and the truth(J) and the life.(K) No one comes to the Father except through me.(L) 7 If you really know me, you will know[b] my Father as well.(M) From now on, you do know him and have seen him.”
8 Philip(N) said, “Lord, show us the Father and that will be enough for us.”
9 Jesus answered: “Don’t you know me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father.(O) How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? 10 Don’t you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me?(P) The words I say to you I do not speak on my own authority.(Q) Rather, it is the Father, living in me, who is doing his work. 11 Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me; or at least believe on the evidence of the works themselves.(R) 12 Very truly I tell you, whoever believes(S) in me will do the works I have been doing,(T) and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. 13 And I will do whatever you ask(U) in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.
Jesus Promises the Holy Spirit
15 “If you love me, keep my commands.(V) 16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate(W) to help you and be with you forever— 17 the Spirit of truth.(X) The world cannot accept him,(Y) because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be[c] in you. 18 I will not leave you as orphans;(Z) I will come to you.(AA) 19 Before long, the world will not see me anymore, but you will see me.(AB) Because I live, you also will live.(AC) 20 On that day(AD) you will realize that I am in my Father,(AE) and you are in me, and I am in you.(AF) 21 Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me.(AG) The one who loves me will be loved by my Father,(AH) and I too will love them and show myself to them.”
22 Then Judas(AI) (not Judas Iscariot) said, “But, Lord, why do you intend to show yourself to us and not to the world?”(AJ)
23 Jesus replied, “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching.(AK) My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them.(AL) 24 Anyone who does not love me will not obey my teaching. These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me.(AM)
25 “All this I have spoken while still with you. 26 But the Advocate,(AN) the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name,(AO) will teach you all things(AP) and will remind you of everything I have said to you.(AQ) 27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you.(AR) I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled(AS) and do not be afraid.
28 “You heard me say, ‘I am going away and I am coming back to you.’(AT) If you loved me, you would be glad that I am going to the Father,(AU) for the Father is greater than I.(AV) 29 I have told you now before it happens, so that when it does happen you will believe.(AW) 30 I will not say much more to you, for the prince of this world(AX) is coming. He has no hold over me, 31 but he comes so that the world may learn that I love the Father and do exactly what my Father has commanded me.(AY)

3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
4 And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.

12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.
15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.
16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.
19 Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.
20 At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.
21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
22 Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world?
23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
24 He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.
25 These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you.
26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
28 Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I.
29 And now I have told you before it come to pass, that, when it is come to pass, ye might believe.
30 Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me.
31 But that the world may know that I love the Father; and as the Father gave me commandment, even so I do. Arise, let us go hence.
