5 以 色 列 的 長 子 原 是 流 便 ； 因 他 污 穢 了 父 親 的 床 ， 他 長 子 的 名 分 就 歸 了 約 瑟 。 只 是 按 家 譜 他 不 算 長 子 。
2 猶 大 勝 過 一 切 弟 兄 ， 君 王 也 是 從 他 而 出 ； 長 子 的 名 分 卻 歸 約 瑟 。
3 以 色 列 長 子 流 便 的 兒 子 是 哈 諾 、 法 路 、 希 斯 倫 、 迦 米 。
4 約 珥 的 兒 子 是 示 瑪 雅 ； 示 瑪 雅 的 兒 子 是 歌 革 ； 歌 革 的 兒 子 是 示 每 ；
5 示 每 的 兒 子 是 米 迦 ； 米 迦 的 兒 子 是 利 亞 雅 ； 利 亞 雅 的 兒 子 是 巴 力 ；
6 巴 力 的 兒 子 是 備 拉 。 這 備 拉 作 流 便 支 派 的 首 領 ， 被 亞 述 王 提 革 拉 毗 尼 色 擄 去 。
7 他 的 弟 兄 照 著 宗 族 ， 按 著 家 譜 作 族 長 的 是 耶 利 、 撒 迦 利 雅 、 比 拉 。
8 比 拉 是 亞 撒 的 兒 子 ； 亞 撒 是 示 瑪 的 兒 子 ； 示 瑪 是 約 珥 的 兒 子 ； 約 珥 所 住 的 地 方 是 從 亞 羅 珥 直 到 尼 波 和 巴 力 免 ，
9 又 向 東 延 到 伯 拉 河 這 邊 的 曠 野 ， 因 為 他 們 在 基 列 地 牲 畜 增 多 。
10 掃 羅 年 間 ， 他 們 與 夏 甲 人 爭 戰 ， 夏 甲 人 倒 在 他 們 手 下 ， 他 們 就 在 基 列 東 邊 的 全 地 ， 住 在 夏 甲 人 的 帳 棚 裡 。
11 迦 得 的 子 孫 在 流 便 對 面 ， 住 在 巴 珊 地 ， 延 到 撒 迦 。
12 他 們 中 間 有 作 族 長 的 約 珥 ， 有 作 副 族 長 的 沙 番 ， 還 有 雅 乃 和 住 在 巴 珊 的 沙 法 。
13 他 們 族 弟 兄 是 米 迦 勒 、 米 書 蘭 、 示 巴 、 約 賴 、 雅 干 、 細 亞 、 希 伯 ， 共 七 人 。
14 這 都 是 亞 比 孩 的 兒 子 。 亞 比 孩 是 戶 利 的 兒 子 ； 戶 利 是 耶 羅 亞 的 兒 子 ； 耶 羅 亞 是 基 列 的 兒 子 ； 基 列 是 米 迦 勒 的 兒 子 ； 米 迦 勒 是 耶 示 篩 的 兒 子 ； 耶 示 篩 是 耶 哈 多 的 兒 子 ； 耶 哈 多 是 布 斯 的 兒 子 。
15 還 有 古 尼 的 孫 子 、 押 比 疊 的 兒 子 亞 希 。 這 都 是 作 族 長 的 。
16 他 們 住 在 基 列 與 巴 珊 和 巴 珊 的 鄉 村 ， 並 沙 崙 的 郊 野 ， 直 到 四 圍 的 交 界 。
17 這 些 人 在 猶 大 王 約 坦 並 在 以 色 列 王 耶 羅 波 安 年 間 ， 都 載 入 家 譜 。

19 他 們 與 夏 甲 人 、 伊 突 人 、 拿 非 施 人 、 挪 答 人 爭 戰 。
20 他 們 得 了 神 的 幫 助 ， 夏 甲 人 和 跟 隨 夏 甲 的 人 都 交 在 他 們 手 中 ； 因 為 他 們 在 陣 上 呼 求 神 ， 倚 賴 神 ， 神 就 應 允 他 們 。
21 他 們 擄 掠 了 夏 甲 人 的 牲 畜 ， 有 駱 駝 五 萬 ， 羊 二 十 五 萬 ， 驢 二 千 ； 又 有 人 十 萬 。
22 敵 人 被 殺 仆 倒 的 甚 多 ， 因 為 這 爭 戰 是 出 乎 神 。 他 們 就 住 在 敵 人 的 地 上 ， 直 到 被 擄 的 時 候 。
23 瑪 拿 西 半 支 派 的 人 住 在 那 地 。 從 巴 珊 延 到 巴 力 黑 們 、 示 尼 珥 與 黑 門 山 。
24 他 們 的 族 長 是 以 弗 、 以 示 、 以 列 、 亞 斯 列 、 耶 利 米 、 何 達 威 雅 、 雅 疊 ， 都 是 大 能 的 勇 士 ， 是 有 名 的 人 ， 也 是 作 族 長 的 。
25 他 們 得 罪 了 他 們 列 祖 的 神 ， 隨 從 那 地 之 民 的 神 行 邪 淫 ； 這 民 就 是 神 在 他 們 面 前 所 除 滅 的 。
26 故 此 ， 以 色 列 的 神 激 動 亞 述 王 普 勒 和 亞 述 王 提 革 拉 毗 尼 色 的 心 ， 他 們 就 把 流 便 人 、 迦 得 人 、 瑪 拿 西 半 支 派 的 人 擄 到 哈 臘 、 哈 博 、 哈 拉 與 歌 散 河 邊 ， 直 到 今 日 還 在 那 裡 。

10 Pa nthawi ya Sauli anachita nkhondo ndi Ahagiri ndi kuwagonjetsa. Tsono iwo anakhala mʼmatenti a Ahagiri ku dera lonse la kummawa kwa Giliyadi.

11 Anthu a fuko la Gadi anakhala moyandikana ndi fuko la Rubeni ku Basani mpaka ku Saleka:
12 Mtsogoleri wawo ku Basani anali Yoweli, wachiwiri anali Safamu, kenaka Yanayi ndi Safati.
13 Abale awo mwa mabanja awo anali awa:
Mikayeli, Mesulamu, Seba, Yorayi, Yakani, Ziya ndi Eberi, onse ali asanu ndi awiri.
14 Amenewa ndiwo anali ana a Abihaili, mwana wa Huri, mwana wa Yarowa, mwana wa Giliyadi, mwana wa Mikayeli, mwana wa Yesisayi, mwana wa Yahido, mwana wa Buzi.
15 Ahi mwana wa Abdieli, mwana wa Guni, anali mtsogoleri wa banja la makolo awo.
16 Fuko la Gadi linakhala ku Giliyadi, ku Basani ndi midzi yozugulira, madera onse a msipu a ku Saroni mpaka kumene amalekezera.

18 Mafuko a Rubeni, Gadi ndi theka la Manase, anali ndi anthu 44, 760 okonzeka kulowa usilikali; anthu amatupi amphamvu, amene amatha kugwiritsa ntchito chishango ndi lupanga, amene amatha kugwiritsa ntchito uta, amene anaphunzitsidwa kumenya nkhondo. 19 Iwo anachita nkhondo ndi Ahagiri, Yeturi, Nafisi ndi Nodabu. 20 Iwowo anathandizidwa polimbana nawo ndipo Mulungu anapereka Ahagiri mʼmanja mwawo; popeza iwo anafuwulira kwa Mulungu pa nkhondopo. Iye anayankha mapemphero awo chifukwa anamudalira. 21 Choncho iwo analanda ziweto za Ahagiri: ngamira 50,000, nkhosa ndi mbuzi 250,000 ndi abulu 2,000. Ndiponso anagwira akapolo 100,000, 22 enanso ambiri anaphedwa, chifukwa nkhondoyo inali ya Mulungu. Ndipo iwo anakhala mʼdzikomo mpaka pa nthawi ya ukapolo.

23 Theka la fuko la Manase linkakhala ku dziko la kummawa kuyambira ku Basani mpaka ku Baala-Herimoni, kumene ndi ku Seniri (Phiri la Herimoni) ndipo anthuwo anali ochuluka kwambiri.
24 Atsogoleri a mabanja awo anali awa: Eferi, Isi, Elieli, Azirieli, Yeremiya, Hodaviya ndi Yahidieli. Iwo anali asilikali olimba mtima, anthu otchuka, ndiponso atsogoleri a mabanja awo. 25 Koma iwo anali osakhulupirika kwa Mulungu wa makolo awo ndipo anadzipereka okha kwa milungu ya anthu okhala mʼdzikomo amene Mulungu anawawononga pamene iwowo ankafika. 26 Kotero Mulungu wa Israeli anayika mkwiyo mwa Puli mfumu ya Asuri (ameneyu ndi Tigilati-Pileseri mfumu ya Asuri) amene anatenga fuko la Rubeni, Gadi ndi theka la fuko la Manase kupita nawo ku ukapolo. Iye anapita nawo ku Hala, Habori, Hara ndi ku mtsinje wa Gozani, kumene ali mpaka lero lino.

Reuben
5 The sons of Reuben(A) the firstborn of Israel (he was the firstborn, but when he defiled his father’s marriage bed,(B) his rights as firstborn were given to the sons of Joseph(C) son of Israel;(D) so he could not be listed in the genealogical record in accordance with his birthright,(E) 2 and though Judah(F) was the strongest of his brothers and a ruler(G) came from him, the rights of the firstborn(H) belonged to Joseph)— 3 the sons of Reuben(I) the firstborn of Israel:
Hanok, Pallu,(J) Hezron(K) and Karmi.
4 The descendants of Joel:
Shemaiah his son, Gog his son,
Shimei his son, 5 Micah his son,
Reaiah his son, Baal his son,
6 and Beerah his son, whom Tiglath-Pileser[a](L) king of Assyria took into exile. Beerah was a leader of the Reubenites.
7 Their relatives by clans,(M) listed according to their genealogical records:
Jeiel the chief, Zechariah, 8 and Bela son of Azaz, the son of Shema, the son of Joel. They settled in the area from Aroer(N) to Nebo(O) and Baal Meon.(P) 9 To the east they occupied the land up to the edge of the desert that extends to the Euphrates(Q) River, because their livestock had increased in Gilead.(R)
10 During Saul’s reign they waged war against the Hagrites(S), who were defeated at their hands; they occupied the dwellings of the Hagrites throughout the entire region east of Gilead.
Gad
11 The Gadites(T) lived next to them in Bashan, as far as Salekah:(U)
12 Joel was the chief, Shapham the second, then Janai and Shaphat, in Bashan.
13 Their relatives, by families, were:
Michael, Meshullam, Sheba, Jorai, Jakan, Zia and Eber—seven in all.
14 These were the sons of Abihail son of Huri, the son of Jaroah, the son of Gilead, the son of Michael, the son of Jeshishai, the son of Jahdo, the son of Buz.
15 Ahi son of Abdiel, the son of Guni, was head of their family.
16 The Gadites lived in Gilead, in Bashan and its outlying villages, and on all the pasturelands of Sharon as far as they extended.
17 All these were entered in the genealogical records during the reigns of Jotham(V) king of Judah and Jeroboam(W) king of Israel.
18 The Reubenites, the Gadites and the half-tribe of Manasseh had 44,760 men ready for military service(X)—able-bodied men who could handle shield and sword, who could use a bow, and who were trained for battle. 19 They waged war against the Hagrites, Jetur,(Y) Naphish and Nodab. 20 They were helped(Z) in fighting them, and God delivered the Hagrites and all their allies into their hands, because they cried(AA) out to him during the battle. He answered their prayers, because they trusted(AB) in him. 21 They seized the livestock of the Hagrites—fifty thousand camels, two hundred fifty thousand sheep and two thousand donkeys. They also took one hundred thousand people captive, 22 and many others fell slain, because the battle(AC) was God’s. And they occupied the land until the exile.(AD)
The Half-Tribe of Manasseh
23 The people of the half-tribe of Manasseh(AE) were numerous; they settled in the land from Bashan to Baal Hermon, that is, to Senir (Mount Hermon).(AF)
24 These were the heads of their families: Epher, Ishi, Eliel, Azriel, Jeremiah, Hodaviah and Jahdiel. They were brave warriors, famous men, and heads of their families. 25 But they were unfaithful(AG) to the God of their ancestors and prostituted(AH) themselves to the gods of the peoples of the land, whom God had destroyed before them. 26 So the God of Israel stirred up the spirit(AI) of Pul(AJ) king of Assyria (that is, Tiglath-Pileser(AK) king of Assyria), who took the Reubenites, the Gadites and the half-tribe of Manasseh into exile. He took them to Halah,(AL) Habor, Hara and the river of Gozan, where they are to this day.
