1 大利乌王第二年八月，耶和华的话临到易多的孙子、比利家的儿子撒迦利亚先知，说： 2 “耶和华曾对你们的列祖大发烈怒， 3 所以，你要对众民说：‘万军之耶和华这样说：你们要转向我（这是万军之耶和华的宣告），我就必转向你们（这是万军之耶和华说的）。 4 不要效法你们的列祖那样，从前的先知呼唤他们：万军之耶和华这样说，你们要回转，离开你们的恶道和恶行。他们却不听从，也不理会我（这是耶和华的宣告）。 5 你们的列祖在哪里呢？那些先知能永远活着吗？ 6 然而我吩咐我的仆人众先知的话与条例，不是已报应在你们的列祖身上吗？所以他们就回转，说：万军之耶和华定意按着我们所作所行的对付我们，他已经这样行了。’”
骑马者的异象
7 大利乌王第二年十一月（就是细罢特月）二十四日，耶和华的话临到易多的孙子、比利家的儿子撒迦利亚先知，实情如下：
8 我夜间观看，看见有一个人骑着红马，站在低洼地上的番石榴树中间；在他后面还有些红色、栗色和白色的马。
9 我就问：“我主啊，这些是甚么？”那与我说话的天使对我说：“我会指示你这些是甚么。”
10 那站在番石榴树中间的人回答：“这些就是耶和华所差遣在遍地巡逻的。”
11 那些骑士回报那站在番石榴树中间的耶和华使者，说：“我们已经在遍地巡逻；看见全地都安定，一片平静。”
12 于是耶和华的使者说：“万军之耶和华啊！你不怜悯耶路撒冷和犹大的城镇，要到几时呢？这七十年来，你一直恼怒它们。” 13 耶和华就用满有恩慈和安慰的话回答那与我说话的天使。
14 那与我说话的天使对我说：“你要宣告：‘万军之耶和华这样说：我为耶路撒冷和锡安心里充满嫉恨。 15 我向那些安逸的列国大大恼怒，因为我只是稍微恼怒我的子民，他们却加深他们的祸害。 16 因此，耶和华这样说：我要怀着怜悯的心回到耶路撒冷，我的殿必在城中重建（这是万军之耶和华的宣告）。绳子必拉在耶路撒冷之上。’ 17 你要再宣告：‘万军之耶和华这样说：我的城镇必再昌盛繁荣，耶和华必再怜悯锡安，必再拣选耶路撒冷。’”

18 我又举目观看，看见有四个角。 19 于是我问那与我说话的天使：“这些是甚么？”他对我说：“这些就是把犹大、以色列和耶路撒冷赶散的角。”
四工匠的异象
20 耶和华又使我看见四个匠人。 21 于是我说：“这些人来作甚么？”那天使回答：“他们就是把犹大赶散的角，以致没有一人可以抬起头来；但这些匠人要来惊吓列国，打掉他们的角；这些列国就是曾经举起他们的角攻击犹大地，把犹大地的人赶散的。”（本章第18~21节在《马索拉文本》为2:1~4）

1 (A)В осмия месец, през втората година на Дарий, Господнето слово дойде към пророк Захария, син на Варахия, син на Идо, и каза:
2 Господ се разгневи много на бащите ви.
3 (B)Затова им кажи:
Така казва Господ на Силите:
Върнете се при Мене, казва Господ на Силите;
и Аз ще се върна при вас, казва Господ на Силите.
4 (C)Не ставайте такива, каквито бяха бащите ви,
към които предишните пророци викаха и казаха:
Така казва Господ на Силите:
Върнете се сега от нечестивите си пътища
и от лошите си дела,
но те не послушаха,
нито Ми обърнаха внимание, казва Господ.
5 Бащите ви къде са?
И пророците живеят ли вечно?
6 (D)Но думите Ми и наредбите,
които заповядах на слугите Си, пророците,
не сполетяха ли бащите ви?
И те се обърнаха и казаха:
Както Господ на Силите е намислил да постъпи с нас
според постъпките ни и според делата ни,
така и постъпи с нас.

7 На двадесет и четвъртия ден от единадесетия месец, който е месец Сават, във втората година на Дарий, Господнето слово дойде към пророк Захария, син на Варахия, син на Идо, и каза:
8 (E)Видях нощем един човек, който яздеше на червен кон и стоеше между миртовите дървета, които бяха в едно сенчесто място; и зад него имаше червени, пъстри и бели коне.
9 Тогава казах: Господарю мой, кои са тези? И ангелът, който говореше с мене, ми отговори: Аз ще ти покажа кои са тези.
10 (F)Човекът, който стоеше между миртите, отвърна: Те са онези, които Господ изпрати да обходят света.
11 (G)И като проговориха на ангела Господен, който стоеше между миртите, казаха: Ние обходихме света: и, ето, целият свят седи спокойно и е тих.
12 (H)Тогава ангелът Господен отговори: Господи на Силите, докога няма да покажеш милост към Йерусалим и Юдейските градове, против които си негодувал през тези седемдесет години?

17 (M)Извикай още веднъж и кажи: Така казва Господ на Силите: Градовете Ми още ще преливат от благосъстояние; и Господ още ще утеши Сион и пак ще избере Йерусалим.
Видение за четири рога и четирима ковачи
18 И като повдигнах очите си, видях четири рога.
19 (N)И казах на ангела, който говореше с мене: Какви са тези рогове? А той ми отговори: Това са роговете, които разпръснаха Юдея, Израил и Йерусалим.
20 Тогава Господ ми показа четирима ковачи.

A Call to Return to the Lord
1 In the eighth month of the second year of Darius,(A) the word of the Lord came to the prophet Zechariah(B) son of Berekiah,(C) the son of Iddo:(D)
2 “The Lord was very angry(E) with your ancestors. 3 Therefore tell the people: This is what the Lord Almighty says: ‘Return(F) to me,’ declares the Lord Almighty, ‘and I will return to you,’(G) says the Lord Almighty. 4 Do not be like your ancestors,(H) to whom the earlier prophets(I) proclaimed: This is what the Lord Almighty says: ‘Turn from your evil ways(J) and your evil practices.’ But they would not listen or pay attention to me,(K) declares the Lord.(L) 5 Where are your ancestors now? And the prophets, do they live forever? 6 But did not my words(M) and my decrees, which I commanded my servants the prophets, overtake your ancestors?(N)
“Then they repented and said, ‘The Lord Almighty has done to us what our ways and practices deserve,(O) just as he determined to do.’”(P)
The Man Among the Myrtle Trees
7 On the twenty-fourth day of the eleventh month, the month of Shebat, in the second year of Darius, the word of the Lord came to the prophet Zechariah son of Berekiah, the son of Iddo.(Q)
8 During the night I had a vision, and there before me was a man mounted on a red(R) horse. He was standing among the myrtle trees in a ravine. Behind him were red, brown and white horses.(S)
9 I asked, “What are these, my lord?”
The angel(T) who was talking with me answered, “I will show you what they are.”(U)
10 Then the man standing among the myrtle trees explained, “They are the ones the Lord has sent to go throughout the earth.”(V)
11 And they reported to the angel of the Lord(W) who was standing among the myrtle trees, “We have gone throughout the earth and found the whole world at rest and in peace.”(X)
12 Then the angel of the Lord said, “Lord Almighty, how long(Y) will you withhold mercy(Z) from Jerusalem and from the towns of Judah,(AA) which you have been angry with these seventy(AB) years?” 13 So the Lord spoke(AC) kind and comforting words(AD) to the angel who talked with me.(AE)
14 Then the angel who was speaking to me said, “Proclaim this word: This is what the Lord Almighty says: ‘I am very jealous(AF) for Jerusalem and Zion, 15 and I am very angry with the nations that feel secure.(AG) I was only a little angry,(AH) but they went too far with the punishment.’(AI)
16 “Therefore this is what the Lord says: ‘I will return(AJ) to Jerusalem with mercy, and there my house will be rebuilt. And the measuring line(AK) will be stretched out over Jerusalem,’ declares the Lord Almighty.(AL)
17 “Proclaim further: This is what the Lord Almighty says: ‘My towns will again overflow with prosperity, and the Lord will again comfort(AM) Zion and choose(AN) Jerusalem.’”(AO)
Four Horns and Four Craftsmen
18 Then I looked up, and there before me were four horns. 19 I asked the angel who was speaking to me, “What are these?”
He answered me, “These are the horns(AP) that scattered Judah, Israel and Jerusalem.”
20 Then the Lord showed me four craftsmen. 21 I asked, “What are these coming to do?”
He answered, “These are the horns that scattered Judah so that no one could raise their head, but the craftsmen have come to terrify them and throw down these horns of the nations who lifted up their horns(AQ) against the land of Judah to scatter its people.”[a](AR)

2 The Lord hath been sore displeased with your fathers.
3 Therefore say thou unto them, Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Turn ye unto me, saith the Lord of hosts, and I will turn unto you, saith the Lord of hosts.
4 Be ye not as your fathers, unto whom the former prophets have cried, saying, Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Turn ye now from your evil ways, and from your evil doings: but they did not hear, nor hearken unto me, saith the Lord.
5 Your fathers, where are they? and the prophets, do they live for ever?
6 But my words and my statutes, which I commanded my servants the prophets, did they not take hold of your fathers? and they returned and said, Like as the Lord of hosts thought to do unto us, according to our ways, and according to our doings, so hath he dealt with us.
7 Upon the four and twentieth day of the eleventh month, which is the month Sebat, in the second year of Darius, came the word of the Lord unto Zechariah, the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo the prophet, saying,
8 I saw by night, and behold a man riding upon a red horse, and he stood among the myrtle trees that were in the bottom; and behind him were there red horses, speckled, and white.
9 Then said I, O my lord, what are these? And the angel that talked with me said unto me, I will shew thee what these be.
10 And the man that stood among the myrtle trees answered and said, These are they whom the Lord hath sent to walk to and fro through the earth.
11 And they answered the angel of the Lord that stood among the myrtle trees, and said, We have walked to and fro through the earth, and, behold, all the earth sitteth still, and is at rest.
12 Then the angel of the Lord answered and said, O Lord of hosts, how long wilt thou not have mercy on Jerusalem and on the cities of Judah, against which thou hast had indignation these threescore and ten years?
13 And the Lord answered the angel that talked with me with good words and comfortable words.
14 So the angel that communed with me said unto me, Cry thou, saying, Thus saith the Lord of hosts; I am jealous for Jerusalem and for Zion with a great jealousy.
15 And I am very sore displeased with the heathen that are at ease: for I was but a little displeased, and they helped forward the affliction.
16 Therefore thus saith the Lord; I am returned to Jerusalem with mercies: my house shall be built in it, saith the Lord of hosts, and a line shall be stretched forth upon Jerusalem.
17 Cry yet, saying, Thus saith the Lord of hosts; My cities through prosperity shall yet be spread abroad; and the Lord shall yet comfort Zion, and shall yet choose Jerusalem.
18 Then lifted I up mine eyes, and saw, and behold four horns.
19 And I said unto the angel that talked with me, What be these? And he answered me, These are the horns which have scattered Judah, Israel, and Jerusalem.
20 And the Lord shewed me four carpenters.
21 Then said I, What come these to do? And he spake, saying, These are the horns which have scattered Judah, so that no man did lift up his head: but these are come to fray them, to cast out the horns of the Gentiles, which lifted up their horn over the land of Judah to scatter it.
