¹⁷既然你們稱呼那位按各人的行為公正無私地審判人的上帝為父，就應該存著敬畏的心過你們在世上寄居的日子。 ¹⁸要知道，你們從傳統的、沒有意義的生活中被救贖出來，不是靠金銀等會朽壞的東西， ¹⁹而是靠無瑕無疵的代罪羔羊——基督的寶血。

¹⁷Since you call on a Father^(A) who judges each person’s work^(B) impartially,^(C) live out your time as foreigners^(D) here in reverent fear.^(E) ¹⁸For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed^(F) from the empty way of life^(G) handed down to you from your ancestors, ¹⁹but with the precious blood^(H) of Christ, a lamb^(I) without blemish or defect.^(J)

¹⁷And if you call on the Father, who ^(A)without partiality judges according to each one’s work, conduct yourselves throughout the time of your ^[a]stay here in fear; ¹⁸knowing that you were not redeemed with ^[b]corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers, ¹⁹but ^(B)with the precious blood of Christ, ^(C)as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.
