得勝的羊羔配展開書卷
5 我看見那位坐在寶座上的，右手拿著書卷，這書卷的兩面都寫滿了字，用七個印封著。 2 我又看見一位大力的天使，大聲宣告說：“誰配展開那書卷，拆開它的封印呢？” 3 在天上、地上、地底下，沒有一個能夠展開書卷觀看的。 4 因為沒有人配展開觀看書卷，我就大哭。 5 長老中有一位對我說：“不要哭！看哪，那從猶大支派出來的獅子，大衛的根，他已經得勝了，他能夠展開那書卷，拆開它的七印。”
6 我又看見在寶座和四個活物中間，並且在眾長老中間，有羊羔站著，像是被殺過的。他有七角七眼，就是 神的七靈，奉差遣到全地去的。 7 羊羔走過去，從坐在寶座上那位的右手中取了書卷。 8 他拿了書卷之後，四個活物和二十四位長老就俯伏在羊羔面前，各拿著琴和盛滿了香的金爐，這香就是眾聖徒的祈禱。 9 他們唱著新歌，說：
“你配取書卷，配拆開封印，
因為你曾被殺，曾用你的血，
從各支派、各方言、各民族、各邦國，
把人買了來歸給 神，
10 使他們成為我們 神的國度和祭司，
他們要在地上執掌王權。”
11 我又觀看，聽見了千千萬萬天使的聲音，他們都在寶座、活物和長老的四周， 12 大聲說：
“被殺的羊羔是配得
權能、豐富、智慧、力量、
尊貴、榮耀、頌讚的！”
13 我又聽見在天上、地上、地底下和海裡的一切被造之物，以及天地間的萬有，都說：
“願頌讚、尊貴、榮耀、能力，
都歸給坐在寶座上的那一位和羊羔，
直到永永遠遠！”
14 四個活物就說：“阿們！”眾長老也俯伏敬拜。

5 接著，我看見坐在寶座上的那位右手拿著一卷內外寫著字、用七個印封住的書。 2 有一位大力天使高聲問道：「誰有資格揭開那七個封印，打開那卷書？」 3 可是，天上、地上、甚至地底下都沒有人有資格揭開並閱讀那卷書。 4 我見無人有資格揭開並閱讀那卷書，便放聲大哭。 5 有一位長老對我說：「不要哭。你看，猶大支派的獅子、大衛的根已經得勝了！祂能揭開那七個封印，打開那卷書。」
6 我又看到寶座、四個活物和眾長老之間站著一隻好像是被宰殺過的羔羊。祂身上的七隻角和七隻眼睛代表奉差遣到普天下去的上帝的七靈。 7 那羔羊走上前去，從坐在寶座上的那位右手中接過書卷。 8 祂拿過書卷後，四個活物和二十四位長老就俯伏在羔羊面前，各拿著豎琴和盛滿了香的金香爐。那些香就是眾聖徒的祈禱。 9 他們唱著一首新歌：
「你配拿書卷並揭開封印，
因你曾被殺，

13 我又聽到天上、地上、地底下和海洋中一切被造之物同聲說：「願頌讚、尊貴、榮耀和權柄都歸於坐在寶座上的那位和羔羊，直到永永遠遠！」 14 四個活物就說：「阿們！」眾長老也俯伏敬拜。

Who Can Open the Scroll?
5 Then I saw a scroll in the right hand of the one sitting on the throne. The scroll had writing on both sides and was kept closed with seven seals. 2 And I saw a powerful angel, who called in a loud voice, “Who is worthy to break the seals and open the scroll?” 3 But there was no one in heaven or on earth or under the earth who could open the scroll or look inside it. 4 I cried and cried because there was no one who was worthy to open the scroll or look inside. 5 But one of the elders said to me, “Don’t cry! The Lion[a] from the tribe of Judah has won the victory. He is David’s descendant. He is able to open the scroll and its seven seals.”
6 Then I saw a Lamb standing in the center near the throne with the four living beings around it. The elders were also around the Lamb. The Lamb looked as if it had been killed. It had seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven spirits of God that were sent into all the world. 7 The Lamb came and took the scroll from the right hand of the one sitting on the throne. 8 After the Lamb took the scroll, the four living beings and the 24 elders bowed down before the Lamb. Each one of them had a harp. Also, they were holding golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of God’s holy people. 9 And they all sang a new song to the Lamb:
“You are worthy to take the scroll
and to open its seals,
because you were killed,
and with your blood sacrifice you bought people for God
from every tribe, language, race of people, and nation.
10 You made them to be a kingdom and to be priests for our God.
And they will rule on the earth.”
11 Then I looked, and I heard the voices of many angels. The angels were around the throne, the four living beings, and the elders. There were thousands and thousands of angels—10,000 times 10,000. 12 The angels said in a loud voice,
“All power, wealth, wisdom, and strength
belong to the Lamb who was killed.
He is worthy to receive
honor, glory, and praise!”
13 Then I heard every created being that is in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea, everything in all these places, saying,
“All praise and honor
and glory and power forever and ever
to the one who sits on the throne and to the Lamb!”
14 The four living beings said, “Amen!” And the elders bowed down and worshiped.
