圣殿奉献礼
7 所罗门祷告完毕，就有火从天上降下，烧尽了燔祭和其他祭物。殿里充满了耶和华的荣光， 2 以致祭司不能进殿。 3 全体以色列人看见有火降下，又看见耶和华的荣光停在殿上，便俯伏敬拜，称谢耶和华说：
“耶和华是美善的，
祂的慈爱永远长存。”
4 所罗门王和全体民众一同向耶和华献祭。 5 所罗门王献上两万二千头牛和十二万只羊，王和全体民众为上帝的殿举行奉献典礼。 6 祭司在自己的岗位上侍立，利未人奏着大卫王为颂赞耶和华而为他们制造的乐器，歌颂说：“祂的慈爱永远长存。”他们对面的祭司也吹响号角，全体以色列人都肃立。
7 所罗门因所造的铜坛太小，容不下燔祭、素祭和脂肪，就把耶和华殿前院子中间的地方分别出来，作圣洁之地，在那里献上燔祭和平安祭祭牲的脂肪。
8 所罗门和从哈马口直至埃及小河而来的全体以色列人聚成一大群会众，一起守节期七天。 9 第八天举行庄严的聚会，又举行七天献坛礼。之后，他们又欢庆七天。 10 七月二十三日，所罗门王让民众各回本乡。他们看见耶和华向大卫、所罗门和祂的以色列子民所施的恩惠，就满心欢喜地回家去了。

11 所罗门建完了耶和华的殿和他自己的王宫，他按计划完成了耶和华殿里和他自己宫里的一切工作。 12 耶和华在夜间向所罗门显现，对他说：“我已听见你的祷告，也已选择这殿作为给我献祭的地方。 13 若我使天不下雨，使蝗虫吞吃地上的出产，或叫瘟疫在我民中流行， 14 而这些被称为我名下的子民若谦卑下来，祈祷、寻求我的面，离开恶道，我必从天上垂听，赦免他们的罪，医治他们的土地。 15 现在，我会睁眼看、留心听在这殿里献上的祷告。 16 我已选择这殿，使之圣洁，永远归在我的名下，我的眼和我的心必常在那里。 17 如果你像你父亲大卫一样事奉我，遵行我一切的吩咐，谨守我的律例和典章， 18 我必使你的王位稳固，正如我曾与你父亲大卫立约，说，‘你的子孙必永远统治以色列。’

The Temple Dedicated to the Lord
7 When Solomon finished praying, fire came down from the sky and burned up the burnt offering and the sacrifices. The Glory of the Lord filled the Temple. 2 The priests could not enter the Lord’s Temple because the Glory of the Lord filled it. 3 When all the Israelites saw the fire come down from heaven and the Glory of the Lord on the Temple, they bowed down on the pavement with their faces low to the ground. They worshiped and thanked the Lord, singing,
“The Lord is good.
His faithful love will last forever.”
4 Then King Solomon and all the Israelites offered sacrifices to the Lord. 5 King Solomon offered 22,000 bulls and 120,000 sheep. So the king and the people showed that they had dedicated the Temple to God. 6 The priests stood ready to do their work. The Levites stood with the instruments they would use to play music to the Lord. King David had made these instruments to use when they gave thanks to the Lord and sang, “His faithful love will last forever.” The priests blew their trumpets as they stood across from the Levites. And all the Israelites were standing.
7 King Solomon also dedicated the middle of the courtyard, the part that is in front of the Temple of the Lord. There he offered burnt offerings, grain offerings, and the fat from the animals that were used as fellowship offerings. He did this because the bronze altar he had built was too small to hold all these offerings.
8 So there at the Temple, King Solomon and all the people of Israel celebrated the festival.[a] People came from as far away as Hamath Pass in the north and the border of Egypt in the south. This huge crowd of people enjoyed themselves for seven days. 9 On the eighth day, they had a holy meeting because they had celebrated for seven days. They made the altar holy and it was to be used only for worshiping the Lord. And they celebrated the festival for seven days. 10 On the 23rd day of the seventh month, Solomon told the people to go home. All the people thanked the king, said goodbye, and went home. They were happy because of all the good things that the Lord had done for David his servant and for his people Israel.
The Lord Comes to Solomon
11 So Solomon finished building the Lord’s Temple and the king’s palace. Solomon did everything that he had planned to do in building a house for the Lord and for himself. 12 Then the Lord appeared to Solomon at night and said to him,
“Solomon, I have heard your prayer, and I have chosen this place for myself to be a house for sacrifices. 13 When I close the sky so that there is no rain, or command the locusts to destroy the land, or send sicknesses to my people 14 and if my people who are called by my name become humble and pray, and look for me, and turn away from their evil ways, then I will hear them from heaven. I will forgive their sin and heal their land. 15 Now, my eyes are open, and my ears will pay attention to the prayers prayed in this place. 16 I have chosen this Temple, and I have made it a holy place. So I will be honored there forever. I will watch over it and think of it always. 17 You must serve me with a pure and honest heart, just as your father David did. You must obey my laws and do everything that I commanded you. If you obey all I have commanded, and if you obey my laws and rules, 18 then I will make you a strong king and your kingdom will be great. That is the agreement I made with David your father when I told him that Israel would always be ruled by one of his descendants.
19 “But if you don’t obey my laws and commands that I gave you, and if you worship other gods and serve them, 20 then I will take the Israelites out from my land that I gave them. And I will leave this Temple that I have made holy for my name. I will make this Temple something that all the nations will speak evil about. 21 Everyone who sees it will be amazed. They will ask, ‘Why did the Lord do this terrible thing to this land and to this temple?’ 22 People will say, ‘This happened because they left the Lord, the God of their ancestors. He brought them out of Egypt, but they decided to follow other gods. They began to worship and to serve those gods. That is why he caused all these bad things to happen to them.’”

7 Cuando Salomón terminó esta oración, cayó fuego del cielo y consumió el holocausto y los sacrificios, y la gloria del Señor llenó el templo, 2 de modo que por eso los sacerdotes no podían entrar en él. 3 Al ver todos los israelitas el fuego y la gloria del Señor que bajaban sobre el templo, se arrodillaron e inclinaron hasta tocar el suelo del enlosado con la frente, y adoraron y dieron gracias al Señor, repitiendo: «Porque él es bueno, porque su amor es eterno.»
4 Después de esto, el rey y todo el pueblo ofrecieron sacrificios al Señor. 5 Y el rey Salomón ofreció en sacrificio veintidós mil toros y ciento veinte mil ovejas.
Así fue como el rey y todo Israel consagraron el templo de Dios.
6 Los sacerdotes se mantenían en sus puestos, y también los levitas, con los instrumentos de música sagrada que el rey había hecho para acompañar el canto que dice: «Porque su amor es eterno», cuando David cantaba con ellos. Y los sacerdotes tocaban frente a ellos las trompetas, mientras todo Israel estaba de pie.
7 Salomón consagró también el centro del atrio que está frente al templo del Señor, pues allí ofreció los holocaustos y la grasa de los sacrificios de reconciliación, porque en el altar de bronce que él había construido no cabían los holocaustos, las ofrendas de cereales y la grasa.
8 En dicha ocasión, Salomón y todo Israel, una gran muchedumbre que había venido desde la entrada de Hamat hasta el arroyo de Egipto, celebraron la fiesta de las Enramadas. 9 Al día siguiente tuvieron una fiesta solemne, porque durante siete días habían celebrado la consagración del altar y durante otros siete días la fiesta de las Enramadas. 10 El día veintitrés del séptimo mes, el rey despidió al pueblo para que se fueran a sus casas alegres y satisfechos por el bien que el Señor había hecho a David, a Salomón y a su pueblo Israel.

11 Cuando Salomón terminó con éxito el templo del Señor, el palacio real y todo lo que se propuso hacer en ellos, 12 se le apareció de noche el Señor y le dijo: «He escuchado tu oración, y he escogido este sitio como templo para los sacrificios. 13 Así que, si mando una sequía y hago que no llueva, u ordeno a las langostas que destruyan los campos, o envío una peste sobre mi pueblo, 14 y si mi pueblo, el pueblo que lleva mi nombre, se humilla, ora, me busca y deja su mala conducta, yo lo escucharé desde el cielo, perdonaré sus pecados y devolveré la prosperidad a su país. 15 De ahora en adelante escucharé con atención las oraciones que se hagan en este lugar, 16 porque he escogido y consagrado este templo como residencia perpetua de mi nombre. Siempre lo cuidaré y lo tendré presente. 17 Ahora bien, si tú te comportas en mi presencia como lo hizo David, tu padre, poniendo en práctica todo lo que te he ordenado y obedeciendo mis leyes y decretos, 18 yo confirmaré tu reinado según lo pactado con David, tu padre, cuando le dije que nunca faltaría un descendiente suyo que gobernara a Israel. 19 Pero si ustedes se apartan de mí, y no cumplen las leyes y los mandamientos que les he dado, sino que sirven y adoran a otros dioses, 20 los arrancaré a ustedes de la tierra que les he dado, arrojaré de mi presencia el templo que he consagrado y haré que sean motivo de burla constante entre todas las naciones. 21 Y este templo, que era tan glorioso, será convertido en un montón de ruinas, y todo el que pase junto a él se asombrará y preguntará por qué actuó el Señor así con este país y con este templo. 22 Y le responderán que fue porque abandonaron al Señor, el Dios de sus antepasados, que los sacó de Egipto, y porque se aferraron a adorar y servir a otros dioses; que por eso hizo venir sobre ellos tan grande mal.»
