7 Their relatives by clans,(A) listed according to their genealogical records:
Jeiel the chief, Zechariah, 8 and Bela son of Azaz, the son of Shema, the son of Joel. They settled in the area from Aroer(B) to Nebo(C) and Baal Meon.(D) 9 To the east they occupied the land up to the edge of the desert that extends to the Euphrates(E) River, because their livestock had increased in Gilead.(F)

7 And his brethren by their families, (A)when the genealogy of their generations was registered: the chief, Jeiel, and Zechariah, 8 and Bela the son of Azaz, the son of Shema, the son of Joel, who dwelt in (B)Aroer, as far as Nebo and Baal Meon. 9 Eastward they settled as far as the [a]entrance of the wilderness this side of the River Euphrates, because their cattle had [b]multiplied (C)in the land of Gilead.

8 And Bela the son of Azaz, the son of Shema, the son of Joel, who dwelt in Aroer, even unto Nebo and Baalmeon:
9 And eastward he inhabited unto the entering in of the wilderness from the river Euphrates: because their cattle were multiplied in the land of Gilead.
