25 (A)Awo Dawudi n’abaduumizi b’eggye, ne baawula abamu ku batabani ba Asafu, n’aba Kemani, n’aba Yedusuni okuweereza, n’okukola obunnabbi, nga bwe bakuba ennanga, n’entongooli, n’ebitaasa. Olukalala lw’abasajja abaakolanga omulimu ogw’okuweereza okwo, lwali:
2 Ku batabani ba Asafu:
Zakkuli, ne Yusufu, ne Nesaniya ne Asalera, era abo nga bakulirwa Asafu, eyakolanga ogw’obunnabbi, ate ye ng’akulirwa kabaka.
3 (B)Ku batabani ba Yedusuni:
Gedaliya, ne Zeri, ne Yesaya, ne Simeeyi, ne Kasabiya ne Mattisiya, be mukaaga awamu, nga bakulirwa kitaabwe Yedusuni, eyakolanga ogw’obunnabbi, nga bw’akuba n’ennanga nga beebaza n’okutendereza Mukama.
4 Ku batabani ba Kemani kabona wa kabaka:
Bukkiya, ne Mattaniya, ne Wuziyeeri, ne Sebuweri, ne Yerimosi, ne Kananiya, ne Kanani, ne Eriyaasa, ne Giddaluti, ne Lomamutyezeri, ne Yosubekasa, ne Mallosi, ne Kosiri, ne Makaziyoosi. 5 Abo bonna baali baana ba Kemani nnabbi aweereza kabaka, abaamuweebwa olw’okusuubiza kwa Katonda, okuyimusanga erinnya lye. Katonda yamuwa abaana aboobulenzi kkumi na bana, n’aboobuwala basatu.
6 (C)Abo bonna baavunaanyizibwanga ba kitaabwe, olw’okuyimba mu yeekaalu ya Mukama, nga bakuba ebitaasa, n’entongooli, n’ennanga, olw’okuweerezanga okw’omu nnyumba ya Katonda. Asafu, ne Yedusuni, ne Kemani baali bakolera wansi kabaka. 7 Omuwendo gw’abo n’eŋŋanda zaabwe abatendekebwa ne bakuguka mu by’okuyimbira Mukama baali ebikumi bibiri mu kinaana mu munaana. 8 (D)Bonna baakubira obululu emirimu gye baaweebwa, abato n’abakulu, omutendesi ne gwe batendeka.
9 (E)Akalulu akaasooka akaali aka Asafu kagwa ku Yusufu, batabani be n’ab’eŋŋanda ze, kkumi na babiri;
akookubiri kagwa ku Gedaliya, batabani be, n’ab’eŋŋanda ze, kkumi na babiri;
10 akookusatu kagwa ku Zakkuli, batabani be n’ab’eŋŋanda ze, kkumi na babiri;
11 akookuna kagwa ku Izuli, batabani be n’ab’eŋŋanda ze, kkumi na babiri;
12 akookutaano kagwa ku Nesaniya, batabani be n’ab’eŋŋanda ze, kkumi na babiri;
13 ak’omukaaga kagwa ku Bukkiya, batabani be, n’ab’eŋŋanda ze, kkumi na babiri;
14 ak’omusanvu kagwa ku Yesalera, batabani be, n’ab’eŋŋanda ze, kkumi na babiri;
15 ak’omunaana kagwa ku Yesaya, batabani be n’ab’eŋŋanda ze, kkumi na babiri;
16 ak’omwenda kagwa ku Mattaniya, batabani be, n’ab’eŋŋanda ze, kkumi na babiri;
17 ak’ekkumi kagwa ku Simeeyi, batabani be n’ab’eŋŋanda ze, kkumi na babiri;
18 ak’ekkumi n’akamu kagwa ku Azaleri, batabani be n’ab’eŋŋanda ze, kkumi na babiri;
19 ak’ekkumi noobubiri kagwa ku Kasabiya, batabani be n’ab’eŋŋanda ze, kkumi na babiri;
20 ak’ekkumi noobusatu kagwa ku Subayeri, batabani be n’ab’eŋŋanda ze, kkumi na babiri;
21 ak’ekkumi noobuna kagwa ku Mattisiya, batabani be n’ab’eŋŋanda ze, kkumi na babiri;
22 ak’ekkumi noobutaano kagwa ku Yeremosi, batabani be n’ab’eŋŋanda ze, kkumi na babiri;
23 ak’ekkumi n’omukaaga kagwa ku Kananiya, batabani be n’ab’eŋŋanda ze, kkumi na babiri;
24 ak’ekkumi n’omusanvu kagwa ku Yosubekasa, batabani be n’ab’eŋŋanda ze, kkumi na babiri;
25 ak’ekkumi n’omunaana kagwa ku Kanani, batabani be n’ab’eŋŋanda ze, kkumi na babiri;
26 ak’ekkumi n’omwenda kagwa ku Mallosi, batabani be n’ab’eŋŋanda ze, kkumi na babiri;
27 ak’amakumi abiri kagwa ku Eriyaasa, batabani be n’ab’eŋŋanda ze, kkumi na babiri;
28 ak’amakumi abiri mu akamu kagwa ku Kosiri, batabani be, n’ab’eŋŋanda ze, kkumi na babiri;
29 ak’amakumi abiri mu bubiri kagwa ku Giddaluti, batabani be n’ab’eŋŋanda ze, kkumi na babiri;
30 ak’amakumi abiri mu busatu, kagwa ku Makaziyoosi, batabani be n’ab’eŋŋanda ze, kkumi na babiri;
31 (F)ak’amakumi abiri mu buna kagwa ku Lomamutyezeri, batabani be n’ab’eŋŋanda ze, kkumi na babiri.

The Musicians
25 Moreover David and the captains of the army separated for the service some of the sons of (A)Asaph, of Heman, and of Jeduthun, who should prophesy with harps, stringed instruments, and cymbals. And the number of the skilled men performing their service was: 2 Of the sons of Asaph: Zaccur, Joseph, Nethaniah, and [a]Asharelah; the sons of Asaph were [b]under the direction of Asaph, who prophesied according to the order of the king. 3 Of (B)Jeduthun, the sons of Jeduthun: Gedaliah, [c]Zeri, Jeshaiah, [d]Shimei, Hashabiah, and Mattithiah, [e]six, under the direction of their father Jeduthun, who prophesied with a harp to give thanks and to praise the Lord. 4 Of Heman, the sons of Heman: Bukkiah, Mattaniah, [f]Uzziel, [g]Shebuel, [h]Jerimoth, Hananiah, Hanani, Eliathah, Giddalti, Romamti-Ezer, Joshbekashah, Mallothi, Hothir, and Mahazioth. 5 All these were the sons of Heman the king’s seer in the words of God, to [i]exalt his (C)horn. For God gave Heman fourteen sons and three daughters.
6 All these were under the direction of their father for the music in the house of the Lord, with cymbals, stringed instruments, and (D)harps, for the service of the house of God. Asaph, Jeduthun, and Heman were (E)under the authority of the king. 7 So the (F)number of them, with their brethren who were instructed in the songs of the Lord, all who were skillful, was two hundred and eighty-eight.
8 And they cast lots for their duty, the small as well as the great, (G)the teacher with the student.

25 David and the chiefs of the service also set apart for the service the sons of (A)Asaph, and of (B)Heman, and of (C)Jeduthun, who (D)prophesied with lyres, with (E)harps, and with cymbals. The list of those who did the work and of their duties was: 2 Of the sons of Asaph: Zaccur, Joseph, Nethaniah, and Asharelah, sons of Asaph, under the direction of Asaph, who (F)prophesied under the direction of the king. 3 Of Jeduthun, the sons of Jeduthun: Gedaliah, Zeri, Jeshaiah, Shimei,[a] Hashabiah, and Mattithiah, six, under the direction of their father Jeduthun, (G)who prophesied with the lyre in thanksgiving and praise to the Lord. 4 Of Heman, the sons of Heman: Bukkiah, Mattaniah, Uzziel, Shebuel and Jerimoth, Hananiah, Hanani, Eliathah, Giddalti, and Romamti-ezer, Joshbekashah, Mallothi, Hothir, Mahazioth. 5 All these were the sons of Heman (H)the king's seer, according to the promise of God to exalt him, for God had given Heman fourteen sons and three daughters. 6 They were all under the direction of their father in the music in the house of the Lord with cymbals, (I)harps, and lyres for the service of the house of God. Asaph, Jeduthun, and Heman were under the order of the king. 7 The number of them along with their brothers, who were trained in singing to the Lord, all who were skillful, was (J)288. 8 And they cast lots for their duties, (K)small and great, teacher and pupil alike.
