14 Adonai said to Moshe, 2 “This is to be the law concerning the person afflicted with tzara‘at on the day of his purification. He is to be brought to the cohen, 3 and the cohen is to go outside the camp and examine him there. If he sees that the tzara‘at sores have been healed in the afflicted person, 4 then the cohen will order that two living clean birds be taken for the one to be purified, along with cedar-wood, scarlet yarn and hyssop leaves. 5 The cohen is to order one of the birds slaughtered in a clay pot over running water. 6 As for the live bird, he is to take it with the cedar-wood, scarlet yarn and hyssop and dip them and the living bird in the blood of the bird slaughtered over running water, 7 and sprinkle the person to be purified from the tzara‘at seven times. Next he is to set the live bird free in an open field. 8 He who is to be purified must wash his clothes, shave off all his hair and bathe himself in water. Then he will be clean; and after that, he may enter the camp; but he must live outside his tent for seven days. 9 On the seventh day he is to shave all the hair off his head, also his beard and eyebrows — he must shave off all his hair; and he is to wash his clothes and bathe his body in water; and he will be clean.
10 “On the eighth day he is to take two male lambs without defect, one female lamb in its first year without defect and six-and-a-half quarts of fine flour for a grain offering, mixed with olive oil, and two-thirds of a pint of olive oil. 11 The cohen purifying him is to place the person being purified with these items before Adonai at the entrance to the tent of meeting. 12 The cohen is to take one of the male lambs and offer it as a guilt offering with the two-thirds-pint of olive oil, then wave them as a wave offering before Adonai. (LY: ii) 13 He is to slaughter the male lamb at the place in the sanctuary for slaughtering sin offerings and burnt offerings, because the guilt offering belongs to the cohen, just like the sin offering; it is especially holy. 14 The cohen is to take some of the blood of the guilt offering and put it on the tip of the right ear of the person being purified, on the thumb of his right hand and on the big toe of his right foot. 15 Next, the cohen is to take some of the two-thirds-pint of olive oil and pour it into the palm of his own left hand, 16 dip his right finger in the oil that is in his left hand and sprinkle from the oil with his finger seven times before Adonai. 17 Then the cohen is to put some of the remaining oil in his hand on the tip of the right ear of the person being purified, on the thumb of his right hand, on the big toe of his right foot and on the blood of the guilt offering. 18 Finally, the cohen is to put the rest of the oil in his hand on the head of the person being purified; and the cohen will make atonement for him before Adonai. 19 The cohen is to offer the sin offering and make atonement for the person being purified because of his uncleanness; afterwards, he is to slaughter the burnt offering. 20 The cohen is to offer the burnt offering and the grain offering on the altar; thus the cohen will make atonement for him; and he will be clean.
(RY: v, LY: iii) 21 “If he is poor, so that he can’t afford to do otherwise, he is to take one male lamb as a guilt offering to be waved, to make atonement for him; two quarts of fine flour mixed with olive oil for a grain offering; two-thirds of a pint of olive oil; 22 and two doves or two young pigeons, such as he can afford, the one for a sin offering and the other for a burnt offering. 23 On the eighth day, he will bring them to the cohen for his purification, to the entrance of the tent of meeting before Adonai. 24 The cohen is to take the lamb of the guilt offering and the two-thirds of a pint of olive oil and wave them as a wave offering before Adonai. 25 He is to slaughter the lamb of the guilt offering; and the cohen is to take some of the blood of the guilt offering and put it on the tip of the right ear of the person being purified, on the thumb of his right hand and on the big toe of his right foot. 26 The cohen is to take some of the olive oil and pour it into the palm of his own left hand, 27 and sprinkle with his right hand some of the oil that is in his left hand seven times before Adonai. 28 The cohen is to put some of the oil in his hand on the tip of the right ear of the person being purified, on the thumb of his right hand, on the big toe of his right foot — in the same place as the blood of the guilt offering. 29 Finally, the cohen is to put the rest of the oil in his hand on the head of the person being purified, to make atonement for him before Adonai. 30 He is to offer one of the doves or young pigeons, such as the person can afford, 31 whatever his means suffice for — the one as a sin offering and the other as a burnt offering — with the grain offering; thus the cohen will make atonement before Adonai for the person being purified. 32 Such is the law for the person who has tzara‘at sores if he cannot afford the usual elements used for his purification.”
(RY: vi, LY: iv) 33 Adonai said to Moshe and Aharon, 34 “When you have entered the land of Kena‘an which I am giving you as a possession, and I put an infection of tzara‘at in a house in the land that you possess, 35 then the owner of the house is to come and tell the cohen, ‘It seems to me that there may be an infection in the house.’ 36 The cohen is to order the house emptied before he goes in to inspect the infection, so that everything in the house won’t be made unclean; afterwards, the cohen is to enter and inspect the house. 37 He will examine the infection; and if he sees that the infection is in the walls of the house, with greenish or reddish depressions that seem to go in deeper than the surface of the wall, 38 he is to go out of the house to its door and seal up the house for seven days. 39 The cohen will come again on the seventh day and examine the house; if he sees that the infection has spread over its walls, 40 he is to order them to remove the infected stones and throw them into some unclean place outside the city. 41 Next, he is to have the inside of the house thoroughly scraped, and the scraped-off plaster is to be discarded outside the city in an unclean place. 42 Finally, other stones must be set in the place of the first stones and other plaster used to replaster the house. 43 If the infection returns and breaks out in the house after the stones have been removed and the house scraped and plastered; 44 then the cohen is to enter and examine it. If he sees that the infection has spread in the house, it is a contagious tzara‘at in the house; it is unclean. 45 He must break down the house and take its stones, timber and plaster out of the city to an unclean place. 46 Moreover, whoever enters the house at any time while it is sealed up will be unclean until evening. 47 Whoever lies down or eats in the house must wash his clothes. 48 If the cohen enters, examines and sees that the infection has not spread in the house since it was plastered; then he is to declare the house clean; because the infection is cured.
49 “To purify the house, he is to take two birds, cedar-wood, scarlet yarn and hyssop leaves. 50 He is to slaughter one of the birds in a clay pot over running water. 51 He is to take the cedar-wood, the hyssop, the scarlet yarn and the live bird and dip them in the blood of the slaughtered bird and in the running water, and sprinkle the house seven times. 52 He will purify the house with the blood of the bird, the running water, the live bird, the cedar-wood, the hyssop and the scarlet yarn. 53 But he is to set the live bird free outside the city in an open field; thus will he make atonement for the house; and it will be clean.
(LY: v) 54 “Such is the law for all kinds of tzara‘at sores, for a crusted area, 55 for tzara‘at in a garment, for a house, 56 for a swelling, for a scab and for a bright spot, 57 to determine when it is clean and when it is unclean. This is the law concerning tzara‘at.”

Awo bw’anaasanganga ng’obulwadde bw’ebigenge[a] bumuwonyeeko, 4 (C)kabona anaalagiranga okuleetera omuntu oyo agenda okufuulibwa omulongoofu, ebinyonyi bibiri ebiramu ebirongoofu, n’omuti omwerezi, n’oluwuzi olumyufu, n’ezobu. 5 Kabona anaalagiranga okuttira emu ku nnyonyi ziri ebbiri waggulu w’amazzi amalungi agali mu luggyo. 6 (D)Anaddiranga ennyonyi ennamu, awamu n’omuti omwerezi, n’oluwuzi olumyufu, n’ezobu, byonna ebyo n’abinnyika mu musaayi gw’ennyonyi enettirwanga waggulu w’amazzi amalungi. 7 (E)Anaamansiranga omusaayi emirundi musanvu ku oyo omulwadde w’ebigenge agenda okufuulibwa omulongoofu; era anaamulangiriranga nti mulongoofu. Ekinyonyi kiri ekiramu, kabona anaakirekanga n’ekibuuka n’ekigenda. 8 (F)Omuntu oyo anaabanga agenda okufuulibwa omulongoofu anaayozanga engoye ze, n’amwako enviiri ze, n’anaaba mu mazzi, n’abeera mulongoofu. Ebyo nga biwedde anaayingiranga mu lusiisira, naye ajjanga kumala ennaku musanvu ng’asula bweru wa weema ye. 9 Ku lunaku olw’omusanvu omuntu oyo anaayongeranga okumwa ku mutwe gwe enviiri ze zonna, anaamwangako n’ebirevu bye, n’ebisige bye, n’obwoya obulala bwonna obumwebwa. 10 (G)“Ku lunaku olw’omunaana anaaleetanga abaana b’endiga abalume babiri abataliiko kamogo, n’omwana gw’endiga omuluusi nga gwa mwaka gumu ogw’obukulu, n’aleeterako n’obuwunga obulungi obw’emmere ey’empeke obuweza kilo ssatu obw’ekiweebwayo, ng’abutabudde mu mafuta, n’aleeterako n’ebbakuli y’amafuta ag’omuzeeyituuni eweza desimoolo ssatu eza lita. 11 Awo kabona ow’okulangiriranga omuntu oyo okuba omulongoofu, anaamuleetanga, awamu n’ebiweebwayo bye, awali Mukama Katonda mu mulyango gw’Eweema ya Mukama ey’Okukuŋŋaanirangamu. 12 (H)Awo kabona anaddiranga omu ku baana b’endiga omulume n’aguwaayo awamu n’epakuli y’amafuta ag’omuzeeyituuni, ng’ekiweebwayo olw’omusango, anaabiwuubanga ng’ekiweebwayo eri Mukama Katonda ekiwuubibwawuubibwa. 13 (I)Omwana gw’endiga ogwo anaaguttiranga mu kifo ekitukuvu, ekiweebwayo olw’ekibi n’ekiweebwayo ekyokebwa we bittirwa. Okufaanana ng’ekiweebwayo olw’ekibi, ekiweebwayo olw’omusango nakyo kinaabanga kya kabona; nga kitukuvu nnyo. 14 (J)Awo kabona anaatoolanga ku musaayi ogw’ekiweebwayo olw’omusango n’agusiiga ku lukugiro lw’okutu okwa ddyo okw’oyo anaabeeranga azze okufuulibwa omulongoofu, ne ku kinkumu eky’engalo ey’omukono gwe ogwa ddyo, ne ku kigere ekisajja eky’oku kugulu kwe okwa ddyo. 15 Kabona anaddiranga ku mafuta ag’omuzeeyituuni ag’omu pakuli n’agafukako mu kibatu ky’omukono gwe ogwa kkono, 16 anannyikanga olunwe lwe olwa ddyo mu mafuta ag’omuzeeyituuni agali mu kibatu ky’omukono gwe ogwa kkono, n’amansira n’olunwe lwe ku mafuta ag’omuzeeyituuni emirundi musanvu awali Mukama Katonda. 17 Kabona anaddiranga agamu ku mafuta ag’omuzeeyituuni aganaabanga gasigadde mu kibatu kye n’agasiiga ku lukugiro lw’okutu kw’oyo anaabeeranga azze okufuulibwa omulongoofu, ne ku kinkumu ky’engalo ey’omukono gwe ogwa ddyo, ne ku kigere ekisajja eky’oku kugulu kwe okwa ddyo, ng’agasiiga kungulu ku musaayi ogw’ekiweebwayo olw’omusango. 18 Kabona anaddiranga amafuta ag’omuzeeyituuni aganaabanga gasigadde mu kibatu kye n’agasiiga mu mutwe gw’oyo ajja okufuulibwa omulongoofu, n’amutangiririra awali Mukama. 19 Kabona anaawangayo ekiweebwayo olw’ekibi, atangiririre oyo atali mulongoofu ajja okufuulibwa omulongoofu. Oluvannyuma kabona anattanga ekiweebwayo ekyokebwa, 20 (K)n’akiwaayo ku kyoto awamu n’ekiweebwayo eky’emmere ey’empeke. Bw’atyo kabona anaatangiririranga omuntu oyo, n’afuuka mulongoofu.
21 (L)“Naye omuntu oyo bw’anaabanga omwavu ng’ebyo byonna tabisobola, anaaleetanga omwana gw’endiga omulume gumu okuba ekiweebwayo olw’omusango, ne kiwuubibwa okumutangiririranga, okwo n’agattirako ne kimu kya kkumi ekya efa eky’obuwunga obulungi ennyo obutabikiddwa mu mafuta, nga kye kiweebwayo eky’emmere y’empeke, n’agattako n’epakuli y’amafuta ag’omuzeeyituuni; 22 (M)n’amayiba abiri oba enjiibwa ento bbiri, ng’okufuna kwe bwe kunaamusobozesanga; emu eneebanga ya kiweebwayo olw’ekibi, endala nga ya kiweebwayo ekyokebwa. 23 (N)Ebyo byonna eby’okumufuula omulongoofu anaabireetanga eri kabona ku lunaku olw’omunaana, ku mulyango gw’Eweema ya Mukama ey’Okukuŋŋaanirangamu, awali Mukama. 24 (O)Kabona anaddiranga omwana gw’endiga ogw’ekiweebwayo olw’omusango, n’epakuli y’amafuta ag’omuzeeyituuni, n’abiwuuba nga kye kiweebwayo ekiwuubibwawuubibwa awali Mukama. 25 (P)Kabona anattanga omwana gw’endiga ogw’ekiweebwayo olw’omusango; n’addira ogumu ku musaayi ogw’ekiweebwayo olw’omusango, n’agusiiga ku lukugiro lw’okutu okwa ddyo okw’oyo anaabanga azze okufuulibwa omulongoofu, era ne ku kinkumu eky’engalo ey’omukono gwe ogwa ddyo, ne ku kigere ekisajja eky’oku kugulu kwe okwa ddyo. 26 (Q)Kabona anaafukanga agamu ku mafuta mu kibatu ky’omukono gwe ogwa kkono, 27 n’amansira n’olunwe lwe olwa ddyo agamu ku mafuta ago agali mu kibatu ky’omukono gwe ogwa kkono, emirundi musanvu awali Mukama. 28 Era kabona anaasiiganga agamu ku mafuta ag’omuzeeyituuni agali mu kibatu ky’omukono gwe ku lukugiro lw’okutu okwa ddyo okw’oyo anaabanga azze okufuulibwa omulongoofu, ne ku kinkumu eky’engalo ey’omukono gwe ogwa ddyo, ne ku kigere ekisajja eky’oku kugulu kwe okwa ddyo, ng’agasiiga kungulu ku musaayi ogw’ekiweebwayo olw’omusango. 29 (R)Kabona anaddiranga amafuta ag’omuzeeyituuni aganaabanga gasigadde mu kibatu kye, n’agasiiga ku mutwe gw’oyo anaabanga azze okufuulibwa omulongoofu, okumutangiririra eri Mukama. 30 (S)Era anaawangayo, ng’obusobozi bwe gye bunaakomanga, amayiba oba enjiibwa ento, 31 (T)ekinyonyi ekimu ng’ekiweebwayo olw’ekibi n’ekyokubiri ng’ekiweebwayo ekyokebwa, ng’agattirako n’ekiweebwayo eky’emmere ey’empeke. Kabona anaamutangiririranga oyo anaabanga azze okufuulibwa omulongoofu eri Mukama. 32 (U)Ago ge mateeka aganaagobererwanga omuntu omugenge anaabanga tasobola biweebwayo ebya bulijjo, alyoke afuuke omulongoofu.”

33 Mukama n’agamba Musa ne Alooni nti, 34 (V)“Bwe muliyingira mu nsi ya Kanani gye mbawadde okugirya, ne musanga nga ntadde ebigenge mu emu ku nnyumba ez’omu nsi eyo, 35 kale, oyo anaabanga nannyini nnyumba eyo anajjanga n’ategeeza kabona nti, ‘Mu nnyumba yange mufaanana ng’omuli obulwadde.’ 36 Kabona anaalagiranga ne bafulumya ebintu byonna ebiri mu nnyumba ne babimalamu, nga tannaba kuyingiramu kukebera obulwadde obwo nga bwe buli, si kulwa nga byonna ebiri mu nnyumba biyitibwa ebitali birongoofu. Ekyo nga kiwedde kabona anaayingiranga mu nnyumba n’agikebera. 37 (W)Anaanoonyanga obulwadde we buli; bw’anaabusanganga ku bisenge by’ennyumba eyo, nga kuliko amabala aga kiragalalagala oba amamyukirivu, era nga galabika gayingidde munda mu mubiri gw’ekisenge, 38 (X)olwo kabona anaafulumanga mu nnyumba eyo, n’agiggala okumala ennaku musanvu. 39 (Y)Ku lunaku olw’omusanvu kabona anaakomangawo n’akebera ennyumba eyo. Bw’anaasanganga ng’obulwadde busaasaanidde ku bisenge by’ennyumba eyo, 40 (Z)kale, anaalagiranga ne basokoola mu bisenge amayinja gonna agaliko obulwadde ne bagasuula ebweru w’ekibuga mu kifo ekitali kirongoofu. 41 Era anaalagiranga ebisenge byonna eby’omu nnyumba eyo ne bikalakatibwa, ebintu byonna ebikalakatibbwako ne bisuulibwa ebweru w’ekibuga mu kifo ekitali kirongoofu. 42 Era banaddiranga amayinja amalala ne bagazimba mu bifo by’agali agaggyibwamu, ne batabula bulungi omusenyu, ennyumba yonna n’ekubibwa omusenyu.
43 “Singa obulwadde buddamu okuzuuka, oluvannyuma lw’ennyumba okugiggyamu amayinja gali, n’okugikalakata era n’okugikubako omusenyu omuggya, 44 (AA)kale, kabona anaagendangayo ne yeetegereza; bw’anaasanganga ng’obulwadde busaasaanye mu nnyumba, ng’ebyo bigenge bye biri mu nnyumba, era nga si nnongoofu. 45 Anaalagiranga ennyumba eyo n’emenyebwawo, amayinja gaayo n’embaawo zaayo n’omusenyu ogwagikubwako, byonna binaasitulwanga ne bisuulibwa ebweru w’ekibuga mu kifo ekitali kirongoofu. 46 (AB)Ennyumba eyo bw’eneebanga tennamenyebwawo, omuntu yenna anaayingiranga mu nnyumba eyo mu kiseera ky’eneemalanga nga nzigale anaabanga si mulongoofu okutuusa akawungeezi. 47 (AC)N’omuntu yenna anaasulanga mu nnyumba eyo oba anaaliirangamu, anaayozanga engoye ze.
48 (AD)“Naye kabona bw’anajjanga n’akebera mu nnyumba eyo ng’emaze okukubibwako omusenyu, n’asanga ng’obulwadde tebwasaasaana; kale, kabona anaalangiriranga ng’ennyumba eyo bw’eri ennongoofu, kubanga olwo ng’obulwadde bugenze. 49 (AE)Okufuula ennyumba ennongoofu kabona anaddiranga ebinyonyi bibiri n’akabaawo k’omuti omwerezi, n’ekiwero ekimyufu n’ezobu. 50 (AF)Anattiranga ekimu ku binyonyi mu mazzi amalungi mu kibya eky’ebbumba. 51 (AG)Awo anaddiranga akabaawo k’omuti omwerezi n’ezobu, n’ekiwero ekimyufu, n’ekinyonyi ekikyali ekiramu, n’abinnyika mu musaayi gw’ekinyonyi ekyattiddwa ne mu mazzi amalungi, n’alyoka amansira ennyumba yonna emirundi musanvu. 52 Ennyumba anaagifuulanga ennongoofu n’omusaayi gw’akanyonyi, n’amazzi amalungi, n’akanyonyi akalamu, n’akabaawo k’omuti omwerezi, n’ezobu n’ekiwero ekimyufu. 53 (AH)Awo n’afulumya ekinyonyi ekiramu ebweru w’ekibuga n’akiteera eyo ne kibuuka ne kigenda. Mu ngeri eyo anaatangiririranga ennyumba eyo era eneebanga nnongoofu.”

Cleansing From Defiling Skin Diseases
14 The Lord said to Moses, 2 “These are the regulations for any diseased person at the time of their ceremonial cleansing, when they are brought to the priest:(A) 3 The priest is to go outside the camp and examine them.(B) If they have been healed of their defiling skin disease,[a](C) 4 the priest shall order that two live clean birds and some cedar wood, scarlet yarn and hyssop(D) be brought for the person to be cleansed.(E) 5 Then the priest shall order that one of the birds be killed over fresh water in a clay pot.(F) 6 He is then to take the live bird and dip it, together with the cedar wood, the scarlet yarn and the hyssop, into the blood of the bird that was killed over the fresh water.(G) 7 Seven times(H) he shall sprinkle(I) the one to be cleansed of the defiling disease, and then pronounce them clean. After that, he is to release the live bird in the open fields.(J)
8 “The person to be cleansed must wash their clothes,(K) shave off all their hair and bathe with water;(L) then they will be ceremonially clean.(M) After this they may come into the camp,(N) but they must stay outside their tent for seven days. 9 On the seventh day(O) they must shave off all their hair;(P) they must shave their head, their beard, their eyebrows and the rest of their hair. They must wash their clothes and bathe themselves with water, and they will be clean.(Q)
10 “On the eighth day(R) they must bring two male lambs and one ewe lamb(S) a year old, each without defect, along with three-tenths of an ephah[b](T) of the finest flour mixed with olive oil for a grain offering,(U) and one log[c] of oil.(V) 11 The priest who pronounces them clean shall present(W) both the one to be cleansed and their offerings before the Lord at the entrance to the tent of meeting.(X)
12 “Then the priest is to take one of the male lambs and offer it as a guilt offering,(Y) along with the log of oil; he shall wave them before the Lord as a wave offering.(Z) 13 He is to slaughter the lamb in the sanctuary area(AA) where the sin offering[d] and the burnt offering are slaughtered. Like the sin offering, the guilt offering belongs to the priest;(AB) it is most holy. 14 The priest is to take some of the blood of the guilt offering and put it on the lobe of the right ear of the one to be cleansed, on the thumb of their right hand and on the big toe of their right foot.(AC) 15 The priest shall then take some of the log of oil, pour it in the palm of his own left hand,(AD) 16 dip his right forefinger into the oil in his palm, and with his finger sprinkle some of it before the Lord seven times.(AE) 17 The priest is to put some of the oil remaining in his palm on the lobe of the right ear of the one to be cleansed, on the thumb of their right hand and on the big toe of their right foot, on top of the blood of the guilt offering.(AF) 18 The rest of the oil in his palm the priest shall put on the head of the one to be cleansed(AG) and make atonement for them before the Lord.
19 “Then the priest is to sacrifice the sin offering and make atonement for the one to be cleansed from their uncleanness.(AH) After that, the priest shall slaughter the burnt offering 20 and offer it on the altar, together with the grain offering, and make atonement for them,(AI) and they will be clean.(AJ)
21 “If, however, they are poor(AK) and cannot afford these,(AL) they must take one male lamb as a guilt offering to be waved to make atonement for them, together with a tenth of an ephah[e] of the finest flour mixed with olive oil for a grain offering, a log of oil, 22 and two doves or two young pigeons,(AM) such as they can afford, one for a sin offering and the other for a burnt offering.(AN)
23 “On the eighth day they must bring them for their cleansing to the priest at the entrance to the tent of meeting,(AO) before the Lord.(AP) 24 The priest is to take the lamb for the guilt offering,(AQ) together with the log of oil,(AR) and wave them before the Lord as a wave offering.(AS) 25 He shall slaughter the lamb for the guilt offering and take some of its blood and put it on the lobe of the right ear of the one to be cleansed, on the thumb of their right hand and on the big toe of their right foot.(AT) 26 The priest is to pour some of the oil into the palm of his own left hand,(AU) 27 and with his right forefinger sprinkle some of the oil from his palm seven times before the Lord. 28 Some of the oil in his palm he is to put on the same places he put the blood of the guilt offering—on the lobe of the right ear of the one to be cleansed, on the thumb of their right hand and on the big toe of their right foot. 29 The rest of the oil in his palm the priest shall put on the head of the one to be cleansed, to make atonement for them before the Lord.(AV) 30 Then he shall sacrifice the doves or the young pigeons, such as the person can afford,(AW) 31 one as a sin offering and the other as a burnt offering,(AX) together with the grain offering. In this way the priest will make atonement before the Lord on behalf of the one to be cleansed.(AY)”
32 These are the regulations for anyone who has a defiling skin disease(AZ) and who cannot afford the regular offerings(BA) for their cleansing.
Cleansing From Defiling Molds
33 The Lord said to Moses and Aaron, 34 “When you enter the land of Canaan,(BB) which I am giving you as your possession,(BC) and I put a spreading mold in a house in that land, 35 the owner of the house must go and tell the priest, ‘I have seen something that looks like a defiling mold in my house.’ 36 The priest is to order the house to be emptied before he goes in to examine the mold, so that nothing in the house will be pronounced unclean. After this the priest is to go in and inspect the house. 37 He is to examine the mold on the walls, and if it has greenish or reddish(BD) depressions that appear to be deeper than the surface of the wall, 38 the priest shall go out the doorway of the house and close it up for seven days.(BE) 39 On the seventh day(BF) the priest shall return to inspect the house. If the mold has spread on the walls, 40 he is to order that the contaminated stones be torn out and thrown into an unclean place outside the town.(BG) 41 He must have all the inside walls of the house scraped and the material that is scraped off dumped into an unclean place outside the town. 42 Then they are to take other stones to replace these and take new clay and plaster the house.
43 “If the defiling mold reappears in the house after the stones have been torn out and the house scraped and plastered, 44 the priest is to go and examine it and, if the mold has spread in the house, it is a persistent defiling mold; the house is unclean.(BH) 45 It must be torn down—its stones, timbers and all the plaster—and taken out of the town to an unclean place.
46 “Anyone who goes into the house while it is closed up will be unclean till evening.(BI) 47 Anyone who sleeps or eats in the house must wash their clothes.(BJ)
48 “But if the priest comes to examine it and the mold has not spread after the house has been plastered, he shall pronounce the house clean,(BK) because the defiling mold is gone. 49 To purify the house he is to take two birds and some cedar wood, scarlet yarn and hyssop.(BL) 50 He shall kill one of the birds over fresh water in a clay pot.(BM) 51 Then he is to take the cedar wood, the hyssop,(BN) the scarlet yarn and the live bird, dip them into the blood of the dead bird and the fresh water, and sprinkle the house seven times.(BO) 52 He shall purify the house with the bird’s blood, the fresh water, the live bird, the cedar wood, the hyssop and the scarlet yarn. 53 Then he is to release the live bird in the open fields(BP) outside the town. In this way he will make atonement for the house, and it will be clean.(BQ)”
54 These are the regulations for any defiling skin disease,(BR) for a sore, 55 for defiling molds(BS) in fabric or in a house, 56 and for a swelling, a rash or a shiny spot,(BT) 57 to determine when something is clean or unclean.
