7 以利沙說：“你們要聽耶和華的話。耶和華這樣說：‘明日大約這個時候，在撒瑪利亞的城門，三公斤麵粉只賣十一克銀子，六公斤大麥也只是賣十一克銀子。’” 2 但那攙扶王的官長回答神人，說：“即使耶和華在天上開了窗戶，也不會有這事發生。”以利沙說：“看哪，你要親眼看見，卻吃不著。”
亞蘭軍撤退
3 有四個痲風病人在城門口那裡，他們彼此說：“我們為甚麼坐在這裡等死呢？ 4 我們如果說：‘我們進城去吧！’城裡正有饑荒，我們就要死在那裡。我們如果坐在這裡，也是要死。現在，讓我們去投降亞蘭人的軍隊吧；如果他們饒我們一命，我們就可以活著；如果他們要殺死我們，我們就死吧。” 5 於是他們在黃昏動身去到亞蘭人的軍營那裡；他們來到亞蘭人的軍營外邊，竟看不見一個人在那裡。 6 因為主使亞蘭人的軍隊聽見戰車、戰馬和大軍的聲音；他們就彼此說：“看哪，一定是以色列王雇用了赫人的眾王和埃及人的眾王來攻擊我們。” 7 於是他們在黃昏的時候起來逃跑，他們丟下他們的帳幕，他們的馬匹和他們的驢子；軍營仍在那裡，他們卻只顧逃命去了。 8 這些患痲風病的人來到軍營的外邊，他們進入其中一座帳幕，又吃又喝，並且從那裡取去金子、銀子和衣服，然後離去，把東西收藏起來。他們再回去，進入另一座帳幕，從那裡拿走財物，去收藏起來。
四個痲風病人報信
9 他們彼此說：“我們這樣作是不對的。今天是報好消息的日子，我們竟不出聲，如果我們等到早上天亮，我們就算為有罪了。現在，來吧，我們要去通知王家。” 10 他們就去呼喊守城門的，告訴他們說：“我們去過亞蘭人的軍營那裡，看見那裡一個人也沒有，也沒有人聲。只有馬仍拴著，驢仍拴著，帳幕都原封不動。” 11 守城門的就喊叫起來，又往城內給王家報信。 12 王在夜間起來，對他的臣僕說：“我告訴你們亞蘭人對我們所作的是怎麼一回事。他們知道我們鬧饑荒，所以出到軍營外在田野埋伏，心裡說：‘他們必從城裡出來。我們就可以活捉他們，進入城裡去了。’” 13 他的一位臣僕回答，說：“請叫人拉五匹剩下的馬來；看哪，牠們像所有剩下在這裡的以色列人，都要像所有死去的以色列人一樣；讓我們打發人去看看吧。” 14 於是他們取了兩輛戰車和馬匹，王差人去追蹤亞蘭軍，吩咐他們：“去查看吧。” 15 他們就去追蹤亞蘭軍直到約旦河。看哪，沿途堆滿了衣物器具，就是亞蘭人在匆忙逃走時丟棄的。於是使者回去向王報告。
預言應驗
16 眾民就出去，搶掠亞蘭人的軍營。於是三公斤麵粉賣十一克銀子，六公斤大麥也賣十一克銀子，好像耶和華所說的。 17 王指派那官長，就是那攙扶他的，在城門口鎮壓。眾民在城門那裡把他踐踏在地，他就死了，好像神人所說的，就是王下來到神人那裡時，他所說的。 18 這是因為當神人對王說：“明天大約這個時分，在撒瑪利亞城門口，六公斤大麥賣十一克銀子，三公斤麵粉也賣十一克銀子。” 19 那官長回答神人，說：“即使耶和華在天上開了窗戶，也不會有這事發生。”神人說：“看哪，你要親眼看見，卻吃不著。” 20 這事果然發生在他身上：眾民把他踐踏在地，他就死了。

7 (A)Тогава Елисей каза: Слушайте Господнето слово. Така казва Господ: Утре, по това време, при портата на Самария една сата чисто брашно ще се продаде за един сикъл и две сати ечемик за един сикъл.
2 (B)А сановникът, на чиято ръка се подпираше царят, отговори на Божия човек: Ето сега, и прозорци, ако би направил Господ на небето, може ли да стане това? А пророкът каза: Ще видиш с очите си, но няма да ядеш от него.
3 (C)А във входа на портата имаше четирима прокажени. Те си казаха един на друг: Защо да седим тук, докато умрем?
4 Ако решим да влезем в града, гладът е в града и ще умрем там; ако седим тук, пак ще умрем. И така, сега да идем, за да се предадем в сирийския стан. Ако ни оставят живи, ще живеем; но ако ни убият, само ще умрем.
5 И така, на мръкване станаха, за да отидат в сирийския стан. А когато стигнаха до края на сирийския стан, там нямаше никой.

9 Тогава казаха помежду си: Не постъпваме добре; този ден е ден на добри вести, а ние мълчим. Ако чакаме, докато съмне, възмездието ще ни постигне; нека отидем да известим това на царския дом.
10 Те дойдоха, извикаха градските вратари и им известиха: Отидохме в стана на сирийците и там нямаше нито човек, нито човешки глас, само вързани коне и осли, и шатрите, както са си били.
11 И вратарите известиха това в царския дом.
12 А царят стана през нощта и каза на слугите си: Сега ще ви кажа какво ни направиха сирийците. Те знаят, че сме гладни, и затова са излезли от стана, за да се скрият по нивите, като си казват: Когато излязат от града, ще ги заловим живи и ще влезем в града.
13 А един от слугите му отговори: Нека вземат, моля, пет от останалите коне, които са оцелели в града (те са като цяло множество от Израил, което е оцеляло в него; те са, както цялото множество от израилтяните, които погинаха), и нека пратим да видим.
14 И така, взеха две колесници с коне. Царят ги прати по дирята на сирийската войска и каза: Идете и вижте.
15 Те отидоха след тях до Йордан и видяха, че целият път беше пълен с дрехи и вещи, които сирийците бяха захвърлили в бързането си. Пратениците се върнаха и съобщиха това на царя.

7 Then Elisha said, Hear ye the word of the Lord; Thus saith the Lord, To morrow about this time shall a measure of fine flour be sold for a shekel, and two measures of barley for a shekel, in the gate of Samaria.
2 Then a lord on whose hand the king leaned answered the man of God, and said, Behold, if the Lord would make windows in heaven, might this thing be? And he said, Behold, thou shalt see it with thine eyes, but shalt not eat thereof.
3 And there were four leprous men at the entering in of the gate: and they said one to another, Why sit we here until we die?
4 If we say, We will enter into the city, then the famine is in the city, and we shall die there: and if we sit still here, we die also. Now therefore come, and let us fall unto the host of the Syrians: if they save us alive, we shall live; and if they kill us, we shall but die.
5 And they rose up in the twilight, to go unto the camp of the Syrians: and when they were come to the uttermost part of the camp of Syria, behold, there was no man there.
6 For the Lord had made the host of the Syrians to hear a noise of chariots, and a noise of horses, even the noise of a great host: and they said one to another, Lo, the king of Israel hath hired against us the kings of the Hittites, and the kings of the Egyptians, to come upon us.
7 Wherefore they arose and fled in the twilight, and left their tents, and their horses, and their asses, even the camp as it was, and fled for their life.
8 And when these lepers came to the uttermost part of the camp, they went into one tent, and did eat and drink, and carried thence silver, and gold, and raiment, and went and hid it; and came again, and entered into another tent, and carried thence also, and went and hid it.
9 Then they said one to another, We do not well: this day is a day of good tidings, and we hold our peace: if we tarry till the morning light, some mischief will come upon us: now therefore come, that we may go and tell the king's household.
10 So they came and called unto the porter of the city: and they told them, saying, We came to the camp of the Syrians, and, behold, there was no man there, neither voice of man, but horses tied, and asses tied, and the tents as they were.
11 And he called the porters; and they told it to the king's house within.
12 And the king arose in the night, and said unto his servants, I will now shew you what the Syrians have done to us. They know that we be hungry; therefore are they gone out of the camp to hide themselves in the field, saying, When they come out of the city, we shall catch them alive, and get into the city.
13 And one of his servants answered and said, Let some take, I pray thee, five of the horses that remain, which are left in the city, (behold, they are as all the multitude of Israel that are left in it: behold, I say, they are even as all the multitude of the Israelites that are consumed:) and let us send and see.
14 They took therefore two chariot horses; and the king sent after the host of the Syrians, saying, Go and see.
15 And they went after them unto Jordan: and, lo, all the way was full of garments and vessels, which the Syrians had cast away in their haste. And the messengers returned, and told the king.
16 And the people went out, and spoiled the tents of the Syrians. So a measure of fine flour was sold for a shekel, and two measures of barley for a shekel, according to the word of the Lord.
17 And the king appointed the lord on whose hand he leaned to have the charge of the gate: and the people trode upon him in the gate, and he died, as the man of God had said, who spake when the king came down to him.
18 And it came to pass as the man of God had spoken to the king, saying, Two measures of barley for a shekel, and a measure of fine flour for a shekel, shall be to morrow about this time in the gate of Samaria:
19 And that lord answered the man of God, and said, Now, behold, if the Lord should make windows in heaven, might such a thing be? And he said, Behold, thou shalt see it with thine eyes, but shalt not eat thereof.
20 And so it fell out unto him: for the people trode upon him in the gate, and he died.
