15 “以色列啊，你虽然行淫，犹大却不可犯罪。不要往吉甲去，不要上到伯亚文，也不要指着永生的耶和华起誓。 16 以色列倔犟，犹如倔犟的母牛，现在耶和华要放他们，如同放羊羔在宽阔之地。 17 以法莲亲近偶像，任凭他吧！

15 “虽然以色列如同妓女，对我不忠，
但不要使犹大犯罪。
不要到吉甲去，
不要到伯·亚文[a]去，
不要凭永活的耶和华起誓。
16 以色列桀骜不驯，
如同桀骜不驯的母牛。
耶和华怎能牧养他们，
如同在草场上牧养羊羔呢？
17 以法莲[b]与偶像为伍，
任由他吧！

16 For Israel slideth back as a backsliding heifer: now the Lord will feed them as a lamb in a large place.
17 Ephraim is joined to idols: let him alone.
