9 玛代人亚哈随鲁的儿子大利乌被立为王，统治迦勒底国的第一年， 2 就是他作王的第一年，我但以理从经书上留意到耶和华临到耶利米先知的话，指出耶路撒冷荒废的年数必满七十年。

但以理禁食祈祷

3 于是我转向主　神，禁食，披麻蒙灰，藉祈祷和恳求寻求他。 4 我向耶和华我的　神祷告、认罪，说：“主啊！伟大可畏的　神，你向那些爱你（“你”原文作“他”），遵守你（“你”原文作“他”）诫命的人守约施慈爱。 5 我们犯了罪，行了不义，作了恶，背叛了你，偏离了你的诫命典章； 6 没有听从你的仆人众先知，他们奉你的名向我们的君王、领袖、列祖和国中所有的人民说话。 7 主啊！你是公义的；我们满面羞愧，正如今日的光景；我们犹大人、耶路撒冷的居民，和被你赶逐到远近各地的以色列众人，都因对你不忠而满面羞愧。 8 耶和华啊！我们和我们的君王、领袖、列祖，都满面羞愧，因为我们得罪了你。 9 虽然我们背叛了主我们的　神，他仍是满有怜悯和饶恕。 10 我们没有听从耶和华我们　神的话，没有遵行他借着他的仆人众先知向我们颁布的律法。 11 以色列众人都违背了你的律法，偏离了你，不听从你的话，因此，　神的仆人摩西的律法书上所记载的咒诅和誓言，都倾倒在我们身上；我们实在得罪了　神。 12 他实现了他的预言，按着他向我们和那些治理我们的官长所说过的话，使大灾祸临到我们身上；耶路撒冷所遇的灾祸是在普天之下从未发生过的。 13 这一切灾祸是按着摩西的律法书上所记载的，临到了我们身上，但我们仍没有恳求耶和华我们的　神施恩，使我们离开罪孽，明白你的真理。 14 所以耶和华留意使这灾祸临到我们身上，因为耶和华我们的　神在他所行的一切事上都是公义的，我们却没有听从他的话。 15 主我们的　神啊！你曾用强而有力的手把你的子民从埃及地领出来，使你自己得了名，好象今天一样。现在，我们犯了罪，作了恶。 16 主啊！求你按着你的一切公义，使你的怒气和忿怒转离你的城耶路撒冷，就是你的圣山；因我们的罪和我们列祖的罪孽的缘故，耶路撒冷和你的子民成了在我们四围的人羞辱的对象。 17 现在，我们的　神啊！求你垂听你仆人的祷告和恳求；主啊！为了你自己的缘故，使你的脸光照你这荒凉了的圣所。 18 我的　神啊！求你侧耳而听，睁眼垂顾我们的荒凉，和那称为你名下的城；因为我们向你恳求，并不是因着自己的义，而是因着你的大怜悯。 19 主啊！求你垂听。主啊！求你赦免。主啊！求你应允而行。我的　神啊！为了你自己的缘故，求你不要耽延。因为你的城和你的子民都是称为你名下的。”

七十个七的预言

20 我还在说话、祷告、承认我的罪和我同胞以色列人的罪，为我　神的圣山，向耶和华我的　神恳求的时候； 21 我还在祷告说话的时候，我先前在异象中所见的那位样貌像人的加百列，约在献晚祭的时候，快速地飞（“快速地飞”原文意思难确定，或译：“在精疲力竭时”）到我面前来。 22 他向我解释，说：“但以理啊！现在我来，要使你有智慧，有聪明。 23 你开始恳求的时候，就有命令发出。因为你是大蒙眷爱的，所以我来告诉你；你要留意这信息，明白这异象。

24 “为你的同胞和你的圣城，已经定了七十个七，要结束过犯，终止罪恶，遮盖罪孽，引进永义，封住异象和预言，并且膏抹至圣所（“至圣所”或译：“至圣者”）。 25 你要知道，也要明白，从发出命令恢复和重建耶路撒冷，直到受膏君的时候，必有七个七；又有六十二个七（“必有七个七；又有六十二个七”或译：“必有七个七和六十二个七”），耶路撒冷连广场和濠沟，都必重新建造起来；那是一段困苦的时期。 26 六十二个七以后，受膏者必被剪除，一无所有（“一无所有”或译：“不再存在”）；那将要来的领袖的人民必毁灭这城和圣所。结局必像洪水而来；必有争战直到末了；荒凉的事已经定了。 27 一七之内，他必和许多人坚立盟约；一七之半，他必使献祭和供物终止；他必在殿里（“殿里”原文作“翼上”）；设立那使地荒凉的可憎的像（“可憎的像”原文是复数），直到指定的结局倾倒在那造成荒凉的人身上。”

Daniel bekennt die Schuld seines Volkes

9 Der Meder Darius, der Sohn von Xerxes[a], war König von Babylonien geworden. 2 In seinem 1. Regierungsjahr forschte ich, Daniel, in den heiligen Schriften. Ich las dort, wie der Herr dem Propheten Jeremia ankündigte, dass Jerusalem siebzig Jahre in Trümmern liegen würde.[b] 3 Da wandte ich mich mit Bitten und Flehen an den Herrn, meinen Gott, ich fastete, zog ein Trauergewand an und streute Asche auf meinen Kopf. 4 Ich bekannte dem Herrn die Schuld unseres Volkes:

»Ach, Herr, du großer und ehrfurchtgebietender Gott! Du hältst deinen Bund mit uns und erweist allen deine Güte, die dich lieben und nach deinen Geboten leben. 5 Doch wir haben gegen dich gesündigt und großes Unrecht begangen, als wir dir den Rücken kehrten! Ja, wir haben uns gegen dich aufgelehnt und deine Gebote und Weisungen umgangen. 6 Die Mahnungen deiner Diener, der Propheten, schlugen wir in den Wind, dabei haben sie in deinem Auftrag zu unseren Vorfahren, unseren Königen, den führenden Männern und zum ganzen Volk gesprochen. 7 Du, Herr, hast recht gehandelt, wir haben es verdient, dass du uns so schwer bestraft und in andere Länder vertrieben hast. Wir müssen heute beschämt vor dir stehen: die Bewohner von Juda und Jerusalem und alle vertriebenen Israeliten nah und fern. Unser ganzes Volk hat dir die Treue gebrochen. 8 Herr, wir haben schwere Schuld auf uns geladen: unsere Könige, die führenden Männer und auch unsere Vorfahren. Dafür schämen wir uns in Grund und Boden.

9 Doch du, Herr, unser Gott, bist voller Erbarmen; bei dir finden wir Vergebung, obwohl wir von dir nichts mehr wissen wollten. 10 Wir haben uns taub gestellt, wir haben nicht auf deine Diener, die Propheten, gehört, die uns deine Gebote weitergegeben haben. 11 Ganz Israel hat deine Weisungen missachtet und deine Worte in den Wind geschlagen. Deshalb hat uns nun dein Fluch getroffen, den du im Gesetzbuch deines Dieners Mose allen angedroht hast, die sich gegen dich auflehnen. 12 Noch nie ist über ein Volk ein solches Unheil hereingebrochen, wie es die Menschen in Jerusalem jetzt erleben. Du hast deine Drohungen gegen uns und unsere führenden Männer wahr gemacht! 13 Ja, du hast uns ins Unglück gestürzt, wie es im Gesetzbuch des Mose angekündigt ist. Und wir haben auch nichts unternommen, um dich wieder gnädig zu stimmen, Herr, unser Gott. Wir sind nicht von unseren falschen Wegen umgekehrt und haben uns nicht an deine Wahrheit gehalten. 14 Darum warst du entschlossen, uns die Folgen spüren zu lassen. Unsere Strafe war gerecht, so wie alles, was du tust, Herr, unser Gott. Wir aber wollten nicht auf dich hören.

15 Ja, Herr, wir haben gesündigt und dir den Rücken gekehrt. Du bist unser Gott, du hast uns, dein Volk, mit starker Hand aus Ägypten befreit. So hast du deinen Namen in aller Welt bekannt gemacht, noch heute spricht man von deinen Taten. 16 Immer wieder hast du deine Gerechtigkeit und Treue unter Beweis gestellt. Sei nicht länger zornig über deine Stadt Jerusalem und über deinen heiligen Berg Zion! Schon unsere Vorfahren haben große Schuld auf sich geladen, und auch wir haben weiter gegen dich gesündigt. Jetzt sind Jerusalem und unser ganzes Volk zum Gespött aller Nachbarvölker geworden.

17 Herr, höre doch jetzt, wenn ich zu dir flehe! Unser Gott, blicke wieder freundlich auf dein Heiligtum! Es geht um deine Ehre! 18 Wende dich mir zu und erhöre mich, du, mein Gott! Öffne deine Augen und sieh, wie es um uns steht: Die Stadt, die deinen Namen trägt, liegt in Trümmern. Wir flehen zu dir, nicht weil wir deine Hilfe verdient hätten, sondern weil du gnädig und barmherzig bist. 19 Herr, vergib uns! Greif ein und handle! Um deiner eigenen Ehre willen zögere nicht länger, Herr, es geht um deine Stadt und dein Volk.«

Das Geheimnis der siebzig mal sieben Jahre

20 So betete ich und bekannte dem Herrn meine Schuld und die Schuld meines Volkes. Ich flehte ihn an, sich über sein Heiligtum auf dem Berg Zion zu erbarmen.

21 Noch während ich betete, eilte der Engel Gabriel herbei, den ich schon früher in meiner Vision gesehen hatte. Es war gerade die Zeit des Abendopfers. 22 »Daniel«, sagte er zu mir, »ich bin gekommen, um dir all diese Dinge zu erklären. 23 Schon als du anfingst zu beten, sandte Gott mich mit einer Antwort zu dir, denn er liebt dich. Achte nun auf das, was ich dir zu sagen habe, damit du die Vision verstehst: 24 Siebzig mal sieben Jahre[c] müssen vergehen, bis Gott seine Absicht mit deinem Volk und mit der Heiligen Stadt erreicht hat: Zu dieser Zeit bereitet er der Auflehnung gegen ihn ein Ende, die Macht der Sünde wird gebrochen, und die Schuld ist gesühnt. Dann wird Gott für immer Heil und Gerechtigkeit bringen, die Visionen und Voraussagen der Propheten erfüllen sich, und das Allerheiligste wird geweiht[d].

25 Nun hör gut zu, damit du meine Worte verstehst: Zwischen dem Befehl, Jerusalem wieder aufzubauen, und dem Auftreten eines von Gott erwählten Herrschers liegen sieben mal sieben Jahre. Zweiundsechzig mal sieben Jahre lang werden[e] in Jerusalem wieder Straßen und Befestigungsgräben errichtet sein, doch es wird in dieser Zeit viel Bedrängnis geben. 26 Nach den zweiundsechzig mal sieben Jahren wird ein von Gott Auserwählter hingerichtet, ohne dass er irgendwo Hilfe findet[f]. Dann zerstört das Heer eines fremden Machthabers die Stadt und den Tempel wie eine reißende Flut. Bis zum Ende herrschen Krieg und Verwüstung, denn so hat es Gott beschlossen. 27 Der Machthaber wird mit vielen Menschen ein Bündnis schließen, das sieben Jahre lang gelten wird. Nach der Hälfte dieser Zeit verbietet er das tägliche Schlacht- und Speiseopfer am Tempel und führt dort stattdessen einen abscheulichen Götzendienst ein. Doch auch dieser grausame Herrscher wird untergehen, denn Gott hat sein Urteil über ihn gesprochen.«

9 En el año primero de Darío(A), hijo de Asuero, descendiente[a] de los medos, que fue constituido rey sobre el reino de los caldeos, 2 en el año primero de su reinado, yo, Daniel, pude entender en los libros el número de los años en que, por palabra del Señor que fue revelada al profeta Jeremías, debían cumplirse las desolaciones de Jerusalén: setenta años(B).

3 Volví[b] mi rostro a Dios el Señor para buscarlo en oración y súplicas, en ayuno, cilicio y ceniza. 4 Oré al Señor mi Dios e hice confesión y dije: «Ay, Señor, el Dios grande y temible, que guarda el pacto y la misericordia(C) para los que lo aman y guardan Sus mandamientos(D), 5 hemos pecado, hemos cometido iniquidad, hemos hecho lo malo(E), nos hemos rebelado(F) y nos hemos apartado de Tus mandamientos(G) y de Tus ordenanzas. 6 No hemos escuchado a Tus siervos los profetas(H) que hablaron en Tu nombre a nuestros reyes, a nuestros príncipes, a nuestros padres y a todo el pueblo de la tierra.

7 Tuya es la justicia, oh Señor, y nuestra la vergüenza en el rostro, como sucede hoy a los hombres de Judá, a los habitantes de Jerusalén y a todo Israel(I), a los que están cerca y a los que están lejos en todos los países adonde los has echado(J), a causa de las infidelidades que cometieron contra Ti(K).

8 »Oh Señor, nuestra es la vergüenza del rostro, y de nuestros reyes, de nuestros príncipes y de nuestros padres, porque hemos pecado contra Ti. 9 Al Señor nuestro Dios pertenece la compasión y el perdón(L), porque[c] nos hemos rebelado contra Él(M), 10 y no hemos obedecido la voz del Señor nuestro Dios para andar en Sus enseñanzas[d], que Él puso delante de nosotros por medio[e] de Sus siervos los profetas(N). 11 Ciertamente todo Israel ha transgredido Tu ley y se ha apartado, sin querer obedecer Tu voz(O). Por eso ha sido derramada sobre nosotros la maldición y el juramento que está escrito en la ley(P) de Moisés, siervo de Dios, porque hemos pecado contra Él.

12 »Y Él ha confirmado las palabras que habló contra nosotros y contra nuestros jefes que nos gobernaron[f], trayendo sobre nosotros gran calamidad(Q), pues nunca se ha hecho debajo del[g] cielo nada como lo que se ha hecho contra Jerusalén(R). 13 Como está escrito en la ley de Moisés, toda esta calamidad ha venido sobre nosotros(S), pero no hemos buscado el favor[h] del Señor nuestro Dios, apartándonos de nuestra iniquidad y prestando atención a[i] Tu verdad(T).

14 »Por tanto, el Señor ha estado guardando esta[j] calamidad(U) y la ha traído sobre nosotros. Porque el Señor nuestro Dios es justo en todas las obras que ha hecho, pero nosotros no hemos obedecido Su voz(V). 15 Y ahora, Señor Dios nuestro, que sacaste a Tu pueblo de la tierra de Egipto con mano poderosa(W), y te has hecho un nombre, como hoy se ve(X), hemos pecado, hemos sido malos. 16 Oh Señor, conforme a todos Tus actos de justicia[k], apártese ahora Tu ira y Tu furor de Tu ciudad, Jerusalén(Y), Tu santo monte(Z). Porque a causa de nuestros pecados y de las iniquidades de nuestros padres, Jerusalén y Tu pueblo son el oprobio de todos los que nos rodean(AA).

17 »Y ahora, Dios nuestro, escucha la oración de Tu siervo y sus súplicas, y haz resplandecer Tu rostro(AB) sobre Tu santuario desolado(AC), por amor de Ti mismo, oh Señor[l]. 18 Inclina Tu oído, Dios mío, y escucha. Abre Tus ojos y mira(AD) nuestras desolaciones y la ciudad sobre la cual se invoca Tu nombre(AE). Pues no es por nuestros propios méritos[m] que presentamos[n] nuestras súplicas(AF) delante de Ti, sino por Tu gran compasión. 19 ¡Oh Señor, escucha! ¡Señor, perdona! ¡Señor, atiende y actúa! ¡No tardes, por amor de Ti mismo, Dios mío(AG)! Porque Tu nombre se invoca sobre Tu ciudad y sobre Tu pueblo».

La profecía de las setenta semanas

20 Aún estaba yo hablando, orando y confesando mi pecado y el pecado de mi pueblo Israel(AH), y presentando[o] mi súplica delante del Señor(AI) mi Dios por el santo monte de mi Dios, 21 todavía estaba yo hablando en oración, cuando Gabriel, el hombre a quien había visto en la visión(AJ) al principio, se me acercó, estando yo muy cansado[p], como a la hora de la ofrenda de la tarde(AK).

22 Me instruyó y me dijo(AL): «Daniel, he salido ahora para darte sabiduría y entendimiento. 23 Al principio de tus súplicas se dio la orden[q], y he venido para explicártela(AM), porque eres muy estimado[r]. Pon atención a la orden y entiende la visión(AN).

24 Setenta semanas[s] han sido decretadas sobre tu pueblo y sobre tu santa ciudad, para poner fin a[t] la transgresión, para terminar con el pecado[u], para expiar la iniquidad(AO), para traer justicia eterna(AP), para sellar la visión y la profecía[v], y para ungir el lugar santísimo[w].

25 »Has de saber y entender que desde la salida de la orden para restaurar y reconstruir a Jerusalén(AQ) hasta el Mesías(AR) Príncipe[x](AS), habrá siete semanas y sesenta y dos semanas. Volverá a ser edificada, con plaza[y] y foso, pero en tiempos de angustia. 26 Después de las sesenta y dos semanas el Mesías[z] será muerto[aa] y no tendrá nada[ab](AT), y el pueblo del príncipe que ha de venir destruirá la ciudad(AU) y el santuario. Su fin vendrá con inundación(AV). Aun hasta el fin habrá guerra; las desolaciones están determinadas[ac]. 27 Y él hará un pacto firme con muchos por una semana, pero a la mitad de la semana pondrá fin al sacrificio y a la ofrenda de cereal. Sobre el ala de abominaciones[ad] vendrá el desolador[ae], hasta que una destrucción completa, la que está decretada, sea derramada sobre el desolador[af](AW)».

9 In the first year of Darius the son of Ahasuerus, of the seed of the Medes, which was made king over the realm of the Chaldeans;

2 In the first year of his reign I Daniel understood by books the number of the years, whereof the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah the prophet, that he would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem.

3 And I set my face unto the Lord God, to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes:

4 And I prayed unto the Lord my God, and made my confession, and said, O Lord, the great and dreadful God, keeping the covenant and mercy to them that love him, and to them that keep his commandments;

5 We have sinned, and have committed iniquity, and have done wickedly, and have rebelled, even by departing from thy precepts and from thy judgments:

6 Neither have we hearkened unto thy servants the prophets, which spake in thy name to our kings, our princes, and our fathers, and to all the people of the land.

7 O Lord, righteousness belongeth unto thee, but unto us confusion of faces, as at this day; to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and unto all Israel, that are near, and that are far off, through all the countries whither thou hast driven them, because of their trespass that they have trespassed against thee.

8 O Lord, to us belongeth confusion of face, to our kings, to our princes, and to our fathers, because we have sinned against thee.

9 To the Lord our God belong mercies and forgivenesses, though we have rebelled against him;

10 Neither have we obeyed the voice of the Lord our God, to walk in his laws, which he set before us by his servants the prophets.

11 Yea, all Israel have transgressed thy law, even by departing, that they might not obey thy voice; therefore the curse is poured upon us, and the oath that is written in the law of Moses the servant of God, because we have sinned against him.

12 And he hath confirmed his words, which he spake against us, and against our judges that judged us, by bringing upon us a great evil: for under the whole heaven hath not been done as hath been done upon Jerusalem.

13 As it is written in the law of Moses, all this evil is come upon us: yet made we not our prayer before the Lord our God, that we might turn from our iniquities, and understand thy truth.

14 Therefore hath the Lord watched upon the evil, and brought it upon us: for the Lord our God is righteous in all his works which he doeth: for we obeyed not his voice.

15 And now, O Lord our God, that hast brought thy people forth out of the land of Egypt with a mighty hand, and hast gotten thee renown, as at this day; we have sinned, we have done wickedly.

16 O Lord, according to all thy righteousness, I beseech thee, let thine anger and thy fury be turned away from thy city Jerusalem, thy holy mountain: because for our sins, and for the iniquities of our fathers, Jerusalem and thy people are become a reproach to all that are about us.

17 Now therefore, O our God, hear the prayer of thy servant, and his supplications, and cause thy face to shine upon thy sanctuary that is desolate, for the Lord's sake.

18 O my God, incline thine ear, and hear; open thine eyes, and behold our desolations, and the city which is called by thy name: for we do not present our supplications before thee for our righteousnesses, but for thy great mercies.

19 O Lord, hear; O Lord, forgive; O Lord, hearken and do; defer not, for thine own sake, O my God: for thy city and thy people are called by thy name.

20 And whiles I was speaking, and praying, and confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel, and presenting my supplication before the Lord my God for the holy mountain of my God;

21 Yea, whiles I was speaking in prayer, even the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, touched me about the time of the evening oblation.

22 And he informed me, and talked with me, and said, O Daniel, I am now come forth to give thee skill and understanding.

23 At the beginning of thy supplications the commandment came forth, and I am come to shew thee; for thou art greatly beloved: therefore understand the matter, and consider the vision.

24 Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.

25 Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.

26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.

27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.
