來到埃及;

我要破壞他們的計謀;

我必把埃及人交在殘暴的主人手中;

埃及眾河流的水必消退乾涸;

打魚的人必哀號;

所有在尼羅河上垂釣的必悲傷;

挪弗的領袖都受了欺騙;

19 Baich yr Aifft. Wele yr Arglwydd yn marchogaeth ar gwmwl ysgafn, ac efe a ddaw i’r Aifft: ac eilunod yr Aifft a gynhyrfant rhagddo ef, a chalon yr Aifft a dawdd yn ei chanol. Gyrraf hefyd yr Eifftiaid yn erbyn yr Eifftiaid, a hwy a ymladdant bob un yn erbyn ei frawd, a phob un yn erbyn ei gymydog; dinas yn erbyn dinas, a theyrnas yn erbyn teyrnas. Ac ysbryd yr Aifft a balla yn ei chanol, a mi a ddiddymaf ei chyngor hi: yna yr ymofynnant ag eilunod, ac â swynyddion, ac â dewiniaid, ac â brudwyr. A mi a gaeaf yr Aifft yn llaw arglwydd caled; a brenin cadarn a lywodraetha arnynt, medd yr Arglwydd, Arglwydd y lluoedd. A’r dyfroedd a ddarfyddant o’r môr, yr afon hefyd a â yn hesb ac yn sech. A hwy a droant yr afonydd ymhell; y ffrydiau amddiffyn a ddihysbyddir, ac a sychant: torrir ymaith bob corsen a hesgen. Y papurfrwyn wrth yr afon, ar fin yr afon, a phob peth a heuwyd wrth yr afon, a wywa, a chwelir, ac ni bydd mwy. Y pysgodwyr hefyd a dristânt, a’r rhai oll a fwriant fachau i’r afonydd a alarant: felly y rhai a daenant rwydau ar hyd wyneb y dyfroedd a lesgânt. Gwaradwyddir hefyd y rhai a weithiant feinllin, a’r rhai a weant rwydwaith. 10 A hwy a dorrir yn eu bwriadau, y rhai oll a wnânt argaeau a physgodlynnau.

11 Diau ynfydion yw tywysogion Soan; cyngor doethion gynghorwyr Pharo a aeth yn ynfyd: pa fodd y dywedwch wrth Pharo, Mab y doethion ydwyf fi, mab hen frenhinoedd? 12 Mae hwynt? mae dy ddoethion? a mynegant i ti yr awr hon, a gwybyddant pa gyngor a gymerodd Arglwydd y lluoedd yn erbyn yr Aifft. 13 Tywysogion Soan a ynfydasant; twyllwyd tywysogion Noff, a phenaethiaid eu llwythau a hudasant yr Aifft. 14 Cymysgodd yr Arglwydd ynddi ysbryd gwrthnysigrwydd; a hwy a wnaethant i’r Aifft gyfeiliorni yn ei holl waith, fel y cyfeiliorna meddwyn yn ei chwydfa. 15 Ac ni bydd gwaith i’r Aifft, yr hwn a wnelo y pen na’r gloren, y gangen na’r frwynen. 16 Y dydd hwnnw y bydd yr Aifft fel gwragedd; canys hi a ddychryna, ac a ofna rhag ysgydwad llaw Arglwydd y lluoedd, yr hon a ysgydwa efe arni hi. 17 A bydd tir Jwda yn arswyd i’r Aifft: pwy bynnag a’i cofia hi, a ofna ynddo ei hun; oherwydd cyngor Arglwydd y lluoedd, yr hwn a gymerodd efe yn ei herbyn hi.

18 Y dydd hwnnw y bydd pum dinas yn nhir yr Aifft yn llefaru iaith Canaan, ac yn tyngu i Arglwydd y lluoedd: Dinas distryw y gelwir un. 19 Y dydd hwnnw y bydd allor i’r Arglwydd yng nghanol tir yr Aifft, a cholofn i’r Arglwydd gerllaw ei therfyn hi. 20 Yn arwydd hefyd ac yn dystiolaeth y bydd i Arglwydd y lluoedd yn nhir yr Aifft. Canys llefant ar yr Arglwydd oherwydd y gorthrymwyr; ac efe a enfyn iddynt iachawdwr a phennaeth, ac efe a’u gwared hwynt. 21 A’r Arglwydd a adwaenir gan yr Aifft; ie, yr Eifftiaid a adwaenant yr Arglwydd yn y dydd hwnnw: gwnânt hefyd aberth ac offrwm, ac addunant adduned i’r Arglwydd, ac a’i talant. 22 Yr Arglwydd hefyd a dery yr Aifft; efe a’i tery, ac a’i hiachâ; hwythau a droant at yr Arglwydd, ac efe a’u gwrendy hwynt, ac a’u hiachâ hwynt.

23 A’r dydd hwnnw y bydd priffordd o’r Aifft i Asyria, ac yr â yr Asyriad i’r Aifft, a’r Eifftiad i Asyria: a’r Eifftiaid gyda’r Asyriaid a wasanaethant. 24 Y dydd hwnnw y bydd Israel yn drydydd gyda’r Aifft, a chydag Asyria, sef yn fendith o fewn y tir: 25 Yr hwn a fendithia Arglwydd y lluoedd, gan ddywedyd Bendigedig yw yr Aifft fy mhobl i, ac Asyria gwaith fy nwylo, ac Israel fy etifeddiaeth.

19 The burden of Egypt. Behold, the Lord rideth upon a swift cloud, and shall come into Egypt: and the idols of Egypt shall be moved at his presence, and the heart of Egypt shall melt in the midst of it.

And I will set the Egyptians against the Egyptians: and they shall fight every one against his brother, and every one against his neighbour; city against city, and kingdom against kingdom.

And the spirit of Egypt shall fail in the midst thereof; and I will destroy the counsel thereof: and they shall seek to the idols, and to the charmers, and to them that have familiar spirits, and to the wizards.

And the Egyptians will I give over into the hand of a cruel lord; and a fierce king shall rule over them, saith the Lord, the Lord of hosts.

And the waters shall fail from the sea, and the river shall be wasted and dried up.

And they shall turn the rivers far away; and the brooks of defence shall be emptied and dried up: the reeds and flags shall wither.

The paper reeds by the brooks, by the mouth of the brooks, and every thing sown by the brooks, shall wither, be driven away, and be no more.

The fishers also shall mourn, and all they that cast angle into the brooks shall lament, and they that spread nets upon the waters shall languish.

Moreover they that work in fine flax, and they that weave networks, shall be confounded.

10 And they shall be broken in the purposes thereof, all that make sluices and ponds for fish.

11 Surely the princes of Zoan are fools, the counsel of the wise counsellors of Pharaoh is become brutish: how say ye unto Pharaoh, I am the son of the wise, the son of ancient kings?

12 Where are they? where are thy wise men? and let them tell thee now, and let them know what the Lord of hosts hath purposed upon Egypt.

13 The princes of Zoan are become fools, the princes of Noph are deceived; they have also seduced Egypt, even they that are the stay of the tribes thereof.

14 The Lord hath mingled a perverse spirit in the midst thereof: and they have caused Egypt to err in every work thereof, as a drunken man staggereth in his vomit.

15 Neither shall there be any work for Egypt, which the head or tail, branch or rush, may do.

16 In that day shall Egypt be like unto women: and it shall be afraid and fear because of the shaking of the hand of the Lord of hosts, which he shaketh over it.

17 And the land of Judah shall be a terror unto Egypt, every one that maketh mention thereof shall be afraid in himself, because of the counsel of the Lord of hosts, which he hath determined against it.

18 In that day shall five cities in the land of Egypt speak the language of Canaan, and swear to the Lord of hosts; one shall be called, The city of destruction.

19 In that day shall there be an altar to the Lord in the midst of the land of Egypt, and a pillar at the border thereof to the Lord.

20 And it shall be for a sign and for a witness unto the Lord of hosts in the land of Egypt: for they shall cry unto the Lord because of the oppressors, and he shall send them a saviour, and a great one, and he shall deliver them.

21 And the Lord shall be known to Egypt, and the Egyptians shall know the Lord in that day, and shall do sacrifice and oblation; yea, they shall vow a vow unto the Lord, and perform it.

22 And the Lord shall smite Egypt: he shall smite and heal it: and they shall return even to the Lord, and he shall be intreated of them, and shall heal them.

23 In that day shall there be a highway out of Egypt to Assyria, and the Assyrian shall come into Egypt, and the Egyptian into Assyria, and the Egyptians shall serve with the Assyrians.

24 In that day shall Israel be the third with Egypt and with Assyria, even a blessing in the midst of the land:

25 Whom the Lord of hosts shall bless, saying, Blessed be Egypt my people, and Assyria the work of my hands, and Israel mine inheritance.

Proclamation Against Egypt

19 The (A)burden[a] against Egypt.

Behold, the Lord (B)rides on a swift cloud,
And will come into Egypt;
(C)The idols of Egypt will [b]totter at His presence,
And the heart of Egypt will melt in its midst.

“I will (D)set Egyptians against Egyptians;
Everyone will fight against his brother,
And everyone against his neighbor,
City against city, kingdom against kingdom.
The spirit of Egypt will fail in its midst;
I will destroy their counsel,
And they will (E)consult the idols and the charmers,
The mediums and the sorcerers.
And the Egyptians I will give
(F)Into the hand of a cruel master,
And a fierce king will rule over them,”
Says the Lord, the Lord of hosts.

(G)The waters will fail from the sea,
And the river will be wasted and dried up.
The rivers will turn foul;
The brooks (H)of defense will be emptied and dried up;
The reeds and rushes will wither.
The papyrus reeds by [c]the River, by the mouth of the River,
And everything sown by the River,
Will wither, be driven away, and be no more.
The fishermen also will mourn;
All those will lament who cast hooks into the River,
And they will languish who spread nets on the waters.
Moreover those who work in (I)fine flax
And those who weave fine fabric will be ashamed;
10 And its foundations will be broken.
All who make wages will be troubled of soul.

11 Surely the princes of (J)Zoan are fools;
Pharaoh’s wise counselors give foolish counsel.
(K)How do you say to Pharaoh, “I am the son of the wise,
The son of ancient kings?”
12 (L)Where are they?
Where are your wise men?
Let them tell you now,
And let them know what the Lord of hosts has (M)purposed against Egypt.
13 The princes of Zoan have become fools;
(N)The princes of [d]Noph are deceived;
They have also [e]deluded Egypt,
Those who are the [f]mainstay of its tribes.
14 The Lord has mingled (O)a perverse spirit in her midst;
And they have caused Egypt to err in all her work,
As a drunken man staggers in his vomit.
15 Neither will there be any work for Egypt,
Which (P)the head or tail,
Palm branch or bulrush, may do.

16 In that day Egypt will (Q)be like women, and will be afraid and fear because of the waving of the hand of the Lord of hosts, (R)which He waves over it. 17 And the land of Judah will be a terror to Egypt; everyone who makes mention of it will be afraid in himself, because of the counsel of the Lord of hosts which He has (S)determined against it.

Egypt, Assyria, and Israel Blessed

18 In that day five cities in the land of Egypt will (T)speak the language of Canaan and (U)swear by the Lord of hosts; one will be called the City of [g]Destruction.

19 In that day (V)there will be an altar to the Lord in the midst of the land of Egypt, and a pillar to the (W)Lord at its border. 20 And (X)it will be for a sign and for a witness to the Lord of hosts in the land of Egypt; for they will cry to the Lord because of the oppressors, and He will send them a (Y)Savior and a Mighty One, and He will deliver them. 21 Then the Lord will be known to Egypt, and the Egyptians will (Z)know the Lord in that day, and (AA)will make sacrifice and offering; yes, they will make a vow to the Lord and perform it. 22 And the Lord will strike Egypt, He will strike and (AB)heal it; they will return to the Lord, and He will be entreated by them and heal them.

23 In that day (AC)there will be a highway from Egypt to Assyria, and the Assyrian will come into Egypt and the Egyptian into Assyria, and the Egyptians will (AD)serve with the Assyrians.

24 In that day Israel will be one of three with Egypt and Assyria—a blessing in the midst of the land, 25 whom the Lord of hosts shall bless, saying, “Blessed is Egypt My people, and Assyria (AE)the work of My hands, and Israel My inheritance.”
