Eseia 25
Beibl William Morgan
25 O Arglwydd, fy Nuw ydwyt; dyrchafaf di, moliannaf dy enw; canys gwnaethost ryfeddodau: dy gynghorion er ys talm sydd wirionedd a sicrwydd. 2 Canys gosodaist ddinas yn bentwr, a thref gadarn yn garnedd; palas dieithriaid, fel na byddo ddinas; nid adeiledir hi byth. 3 Am hynny pobl nerthol a’th ogonedda, dinas y cenhedloedd ofnadwy a’th arswyda: 4 Canys buost nerth i’r tlawd, a chadernid i’r anghenog yn ei gyfyngder, yn nodded rhag tymestl, yn gysgod rhag gwres, pan oedd gwynt y cedyrn fel tymestl yn erbyn mur. 5 Fel gwres mewn sychder y darostyngi dwrf dieithriaid; sef gwres â chysgod cwmwl; darostyngir cangen yr ofnadwy.
6 Ac Arglwydd y lluoedd a wna i’r holl bobloedd yn y mynydd hwn wledd o basgedigion, gwledd o loyw‐win; o basgedigion breision, a gloyw‐win puredig. 7 Ac efe a ddifa yn y mynydd hwn y gorchudd sydd yn gorchuddio yr holl bobloedd, a’r llen yr hon a daenwyd ar yr holl genhedloedd. 8 Efe a lwnc angau mewn buddugoliaeth; a’r Arglwydd Dduw a sych ymaith ddagrau oddi ar bob wyneb; ac efe a dynn ymaith warthrudd ei bobl oddi ar yr holl ddaear: canys yr Arglwydd a’i llefarodd.
9 A’r dydd hwnnw y dywedir, Wele, dyma ein Duw ni; gobeithiasom ynddo, ac efe a’n ceidw: dyma yr Arglwydd; gobeithiasom ynddo, gorfoleddwn a llawenychwn yn ei iachawdwriaeth ef. 10 Canys llaw yr Arglwydd a orffwys yn y mynydd hwn, a Moab a sethrir tano, fel sathru gwellt mewn tomen. 11 Ac efe a estyn ei ddwylo yn eu canol hwy, fel yr estyn nofiedydd ei ddwylo i nofio; ac efe a ostwng eu balchder hwynt ynghyd ag ysbail eu dwylo. 12 Felly y gogwydda, y gostwng, ac y bwrw efe i lawr hyd y llwch, gadernid uchelder dy gaerau.

Praise to the Lord
25 Lord, you are my God;(A)
I will exalt you and praise your name,(B)
for in perfect faithfulness(C)
you have done wonderful things,(D)
things planned(E) long ago.
2 You have made the city a heap of rubble,(F)
the fortified(G) town a ruin,(H)
the foreigners’ stronghold(I) a city no more;
it will never be rebuilt.(J)
3 Therefore strong peoples will honor you;(K)
cities of ruthless(L) nations will revere you.
4 You have been a refuge(M) for the poor,(N)
a refuge for the needy(O) in their distress,
a shelter from the storm(P)
and a shade from the heat.
For the breath of the ruthless(Q)
is like a storm driving against a wall
5 and like the heat of the desert.
You silence(R) the uproar of foreigners;(S)
as heat is reduced by the shadow of a cloud,
so the song of the ruthless(T) is stilled.
6 On this mountain(U) the Lord Almighty will prepare
a feast(V) of rich food for all peoples,
a banquet of aged wine—
the best of meats and the finest of wines.(W)
7 On this mountain he will destroy
the shroud(X) that enfolds all peoples,(Y)
the sheet that covers all nations;
8 he will swallow up death(Z) forever.
The Sovereign Lord will wipe away the tears(AA)
from all faces;
he will remove his people’s disgrace(AB)
from all the earth.
The Lord has spoken.(AC)
9 In that day(AD) they will say,
“Surely this is our God;(AE)
we trusted(AF) in him, and he saved(AG) us.
This is the Lord, we trusted in him;
let us rejoice(AH) and be glad in his salvation.”(AI)
10 The hand of the Lord will rest on this mountain;(AJ)
but Moab(AK) will be trampled in their land
as straw is trampled down in the manure.
11 They will stretch out their hands in it,
as swimmers stretch out their hands to swim.
God will bring down(AL) their pride(AM)
despite the cleverness[a] of their hands.
12 He will bring down your high fortified walls(AN)
and lay them low;(AO)
he will bring them down to the ground,
to the very dust.

Isaiah 25
King James Version
25 O Lord, thou art my God; I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name; for thou hast done wonderful things; thy counsels of old are faithfulness and truth.
2 For thou hast made of a city an heap; of a defenced city a ruin: a palace of strangers to be no city; it shall never be built.
3 Therefore shall the strong people glorify thee, the city of the terrible nations shall fear thee.
4 For thou hast been a strength to the poor, a strength to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shadow from the heat, when the blast of the terrible ones is as a storm against the wall.
5 Thou shalt bring down the noise of strangers, as the heat in a dry place; even the heat with the shadow of a cloud: the branch of the terrible ones shall be brought low.
6 And in this mountain shall the Lord of hosts make unto all people a feast of fat things, a feast of wines on the lees, of fat things full of marrow, of wines on the lees well refined.
7 And he will destroy in this mountain the face of the covering cast over all people, and the vail that is spread over all nations.
8 He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord God will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth: for the Lord hath spoken it.
9 And it shall be said in that day, Lo, this is our God; we have waited for him, and he will save us: this is the Lord; we have waited for him, we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation.
10 For in this mountain shall the hand of the Lord rest, and Moab shall be trodden down under him, even as straw is trodden down for the dunghill.
11 And he shall spread forth his hands in the midst of them, as he that swimmeth spreadeth forth his hands to swim: and he shall bring down their pride together with the spoils of their hands.
12 And the fortress of the high fort of thy walls shall he bring down, lay low, and bring to the ground, even to the dust.

Praise to God
25 O Lord, You are my God.
(A)I will exalt You,
I will praise Your name,
(B)For You have done wonderful things;
(C)Your counsels of old are faithfulness and truth.
2 For You have made (D)a city a ruin,
A fortified city a ruin,
A palace of foreigners to be a city no more;
It will never be rebuilt.
3 Therefore the strong people will (E)glorify You;
The city of the [a]terrible nations will fear You.
4 For You have been a strength to the poor,
A strength to the needy in his distress,
(F)A refuge from the storm,
A shade from the heat;
For the blast of the terrible ones is as a storm against the wall.
5 You will reduce the noise of aliens,
As heat in a dry place;
As heat in the shadow of a cloud,
The song of the terrible ones will be [b]diminished.
6 And in (G)this mountain
(H)The Lord of hosts will make for (I)all people
A feast of [c]choice pieces,
A feast of [d]wines on the lees,
Of fat things full of marrow,
Of well-refined wines on the lees.
7 And He will destroy on this mountain
The surface of the covering cast over all people,
And (J)the veil that is spread over all nations.
8 He will (K)swallow up death forever,
And the Lord God will (L)wipe away tears from all faces;
The rebuke of His people
He will take away from all the earth;
For the Lord has spoken.
9 And it will be said in that day:
“Behold, this is our God;
(M)We have waited for Him, and He will save us.
This is the Lord;
We have waited for Him;
(N)We will be glad and rejoice in His salvation.”
10 For on this mountain the hand of the Lord will rest,
And (O)Moab shall be trampled down under Him,
As straw is trampled down for the refuse heap.
11 And He will spread out His hands in their midst
As a swimmer reaches out to swim,
And He will bring down their (P)pride
Together with the trickery of their hands.
12 The (Q)fortress of the high fort of your walls
He will bring down, lay low,
And bring to the ground, down to the dust.
