ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦਾ ਭਵਿੱਖ
3 ਹੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦੇ ਲੋਕੋ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਹੋ। ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਦੂਜਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਤਾਇਆ ਤੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਪਾਪਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਦਾਗ਼ੀ ਹੋ ਗਏ। 2 ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਇੱਕ ਨਾ ਸੁਣੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮੇਰੀਆਂ ਸਿੱਖਿਆਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਕਬੂਲਿਆ। ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੇ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਨਾ ਕੀਤਾ। ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਕੋਲ ਨਾ ਗਈ। 3 ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦੇ ਆਗੂ ਬੱਬਰ-ਸ਼ੇਰਾਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਗਰਜਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨਿਆਂਕਾਰ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਭੁੱਖੇ ਭੇੜੀਆਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਹਨ ਜੋ ਸ਼ਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਨਿਕਲਦੇ ਹਨ ਤੇ ਭੇਡਾਂ ਦਾ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਸਵੇਰ ਤੱਕ ਉੱਥੇ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਨਾਮੋ-ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਬਚਦਾ। 4 ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨਬੀ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਲਾਲਚ ਵਸ਼ ਗੁਪਤ ਵਿਉਂਤਾ ਬਣਾਉਂਦੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਸ ਦੇ ਜਾਜਕ ਪਾਕ ਵਸਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਵਸਤਾਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਵਰਤਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਿੱਖਿਆਵਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਬੜਾ ਭੈੜਾ ਵਿਹਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। 5 ਪਰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਅਜੇ ਵੀ ਉਸੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਸਿਰਫ ਚੰਗਿਆਈ ਹੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਕੁਝ ਬੁਰਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ ਤੇ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਦਦ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਹਰ ਸਵੇਰ ਉਹ ਆਪਣਾ ਨਿਆਉਂ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਕਰਦਾ। ਪਰ ਉਹ ਦੁਸ਼ਟ ਲੋਕ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਬਦ-ਕਰਨੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਸ਼ਰਨਸਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਨ।
6 ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ, “ਮੈਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਸ਼ਟ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ। ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਵਾਲੇ ਬੁਰਜ ਤਬਾਹ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਹਨ। ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਭ ਸੜਕਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਗਲੀਆਂ ਵੀਰਾਨ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਹੁਣ, ਓੱਥੇ ਹੋਰ ਵੱਧੇਰੇ ਕੋਈ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਂਦਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵੀਰਾਨ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਹਨ। ਹੁਣ ਉੱਥੇ ਕੋਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ। 7 ਇਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਆਖ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਸਬਕ ਮਿਲੇ। ਮੈਂ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਭਉ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹੋ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਆਦਰ ਕਰੋ। ਜੇਕਰ ਤੁਸੀ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਕਰੋਂਗੇ ਤਾਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਘਰ ਬਚੇ ਰਹਿਣਗੇ। ਇਉਂ ਕਰਨ ਨਾਲ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਦੇਣ ਦਾ ਮਤਾ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਸੀ ਤਾਂ ਫ਼ਿਰ ਉਵੇਂ ਨਾ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ।” ਪਰ ਉਹ ਬਦਬਬੁਤ ਅਜੇ ਵੀ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਗਲਤੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਪਾਪਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੁਹਰਾਉਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ।
8 ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਇਸ ਲਈ ਰੁਕੋ! ਆਪਣੇ ਨਿਆਂ ਲਈ ਖੜ੍ਹੇ ਹੋਣ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਇੰਤਜ਼ਾਰ ਕਰੋ। ਮੈਨੂੰ ਹੱਕ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਕੱਠੀਆਂ ਕਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਦੰਡ ਲਈ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਰਤਾਂ। ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਇਸਤੇਮਾਲ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਆਪਣਾ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਰੋਬ ਵਿਖਾ ਸੱਕਾਂ। ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਵੀ ਵਰਤਾਂਗਾ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਇਹ ਦਰਸਾਵਾਂ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਕਿੰਨਾ ਪਰੇਸ਼ਾਨ ਹੋਇਆ। ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰਾ ਦੇਸ ਤਬਾਹ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। 9 ਫ਼ਿਰ ਮੈਂ ਦੂਜੀਆਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਦਲਾਂਗਾ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਸਪੱਸ਼ਟ ਬੋਲੀ ’ਚ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਨਾਂ ਪੁਕਾਰਣ। ਉਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਮੋਢੇ ਨਾਲ ਮੋਢਾ ਮਿਲਾ ਕੇ ਇੱਕ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਹੋਕੇ, ਇੱਕ ਮੁੱਠ ਹੋਕੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਕਰਣਗੇ। 10 ਕੂਸ਼ ਦੇ ਸਾਗਰ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਰ ਦੂਜਿਆਂ ਕੰਢਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਲੋਕ ਇੱਥੇ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਹੋਣਗੇ। ਮੇਰੀ ਖਿੰਡਰੀ ਹੋਈ ਕੌਮ ਮੁੜ ਇਕੱਠੀ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ। ਮੇਰੇ ਉਪਾਸੱਕ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਭੇਟਾ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਆਉਣਗੇ।
11 “ਫ਼ਿਰ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ! ਉਸ ਦਿਨ ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਮਾੜੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਲਈ ਸ਼ਰਮਿੰਦਾ ਨਾ ਹੋਵੇਂਗਾ ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਦਿਨ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਬਦ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਥੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਕੱਢ ਸੁੱਟਾਂਗਾ। ਫ਼ਿਰ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਪਰਬਤ ਉੱਪਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਚੋ ਕੋਈ ਹੰਕਾਰੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨਾ ਰਹੇਗਾ। 12 ਮੈਂ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਦੀਨ ਅਤੇ ਨਿਮਰ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਛੱਡਾਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਪਾਉਣਗੇ। 13 ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਬਚੇ ਹੋਏ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਬਦੀ ਨਾ ਕਰਣਗੇ ਤੇ ਨਾ ਹੀ ਉਹ ਝੂਠ ਬੋਲਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਹੀ ਫ਼ਰੇਬ ਨਾਲ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਲੁੱਟਣਗੇ। ਉਹ ਤਾਂ ਪਤਨੀਆਂ ਭੇਡਾਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਚਰਨਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਲੰਮੇ ਪੈ ਜਾਣਗੇ। ਤੇ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੰਗ ਨਾ ਕਰੇਗਾ।”
ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਦਾ ਗੀਤ
14 ਹੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ! ਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਮੌਜ ਮਣਾ।
ਹੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ, ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ’ਚ ਨਾਰਾ ਮਾਰ।
ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ, ਖੁਸ਼ ਹੋ ਅਤੇ ਮੌਜ ਕਰ।
15 ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੂਰ ਕੀਤਾ,
ਉਸ ਨੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਵੈਰੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਬੁਰਜਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਢਾਹਿਆ।
ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ,
ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੇਰੇ ਅੰਗ-ਸੰਗ ਹੈ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਫ਼ਿਕਰ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਕੋਈ ਲੋੜ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਿ ਕੋਈ ਬਦੀ ਵਾਪਰੇਗੀ।
16 ਉਸ ਵਕਤ, ਸਿਉਨ ਸਦਵਾਏ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ,
“ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਹੋ, ਅਤੇ ਡਰ ਨਾ।
17 ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੇਰਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੈ
ਉਹ ਬਹਾਦੁਰ ਸ਼ਕਤੀਸ਼ਾਲੀ ਸਿਪਾਹੀ ਵਾਂਗ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਬਚਾਵੇਗਾ
ਤੇ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਦਰਸਾਵੇਗਾ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਿੰਨਾ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਹੈਂ?
ਤੇ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਇਜ਼ਹਾਰ ਕਰਾਇਆ ਕਿ
ਉਹ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਅੰਤਾ ਦਾ ਖੁਸ਼ ਹੈ!
18 ਉਹ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੱਸੇਗਾ ਤੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਖੁਸ਼ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।
ਦਾਅਵਤ ’ਚ ਆਏ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵਾਂਗ।”
ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੀ ਸ਼ਰਮਿੰਦਗੀ ਵਾਪਸ ਲੈ ਲਵਾਂਗਾ ਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਜ਼ਲੀਲ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਰੋਕਾਂਗਾ।
19 ਜਿਹੜੇ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਦੁੱਖ ਦੇਣ, ਉਸ ਵਕਤ ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੰਡ ਦੇਵਾਂਗਾ।
ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਦੁੱਖੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਚਾਵਾਂਗਾ ਤੇ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਭੱਜਣ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ,
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਾਪਸ ਲਿਆਵਾਂਗਾ।
ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਸਿੱਧੀ ਦੇਵਾਂਗਾ ਹਰ ਜਗ੍ਹਾ
ਲੋਕ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਉਸਤਤ ਕਰਣਗੇ।
20 ਉਸ ਵਕਤ, ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਅੰਦਰ ਲਿਆਵਾਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਇਕੱਠਿਆਂ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ।
ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਸਿੱਧੀ ਦੇਵਾਂਗਾ।
ਹਰ ਜਗ੍ਹਾ ਲੋਕ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਉਸਤਤ ਕਰਣਗੇ।
ਇਹ ਉਸ ਵਕਤ ਵਾਪਰੇਗਾ, ਜਦੋਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਸਾਹਵੇਂ ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਬੰਦੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਾਪਸ ਲਿਆਵਾਂਗਾ।”
ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਇਉਂ ਆਖਿਆ।

3 Woe to the city of oppressors,(A)
rebellious(B) and defiled!(C)
2 She obeys(D) no one,
she accepts no correction.(E)
She does not trust(F) in the Lord,
she does not draw near(G) to her God.
3 Her officials within her
are roaring lions;(H)
her rulers are evening wolves,(I)
who leave nothing for the morning.(J)
4 Her prophets are unprincipled;
they are treacherous people.(K)
Her priests profane the sanctuary
and do violence to the law.(L)
5 The Lord within her is righteous;(M)
he does no wrong.(N)
Morning by morning(O) he dispenses his justice,
and every new day he does not fail,(P)
yet the unrighteous know no shame.(Q)
Jerusalem Remains Unrepentant
6 “I have destroyed nations;
their strongholds are demolished.
I have left their streets deserted,
with no one passing through.
Their cities are laid waste;(R)
they are deserted and empty.
7 Of Jerusalem I thought,
‘Surely you will fear me
and accept correction!’(S)
Then her place of refuge[a] would not be destroyed,
nor all my punishments come upon[b] her.
But they were still eager
to act corruptly(T) in all they did.
8 Therefore wait(U) for me,”
declares the Lord,
“for the day I will stand up to testify.[c]
I have decided to assemble(V) the nations,(W)
to gather the kingdoms
and to pour out my wrath(X) on them—
all my fierce anger.(Y)
The whole world will be consumed(Z)
by the fire of my jealous anger.
Restoration of Israel’s Remnant
9 “Then I will purify the lips of the peoples,
that all of them may call(AA) on the name of the Lord(AB)
and serve(AC) him shoulder to shoulder.
10 From beyond the rivers of Cush[d](AD)
my worshipers, my scattered people,
will bring me offerings.(AE)
11 On that day you, Jerusalem, will not be put to shame(AF)
for all the wrongs you have done to me,(AG)
because I will remove from you
your arrogant boasters.(AH)
Never again will you be haughty
on my holy hill.(AI)
12 But I will leave within you
the meek(AJ) and humble.
The remnant of Israel
will trust(AK) in the name of the Lord.
13 They(AL) will do no wrong;(AM)
they will tell no lies.(AN)
A deceitful tongue
will not be found in their mouths.(AO)
They will eat and lie down(AP)
and no one will make them afraid.(AQ)”
14 Sing, Daughter Zion;(AR)
shout aloud,(AS) Israel!
Be glad and rejoice(AT) with all your heart,
Daughter Jerusalem!
15 The Lord has taken away your punishment,
he has turned back your enemy.
The Lord, the King of Israel, is with you;(AU)
never again will you fear(AV) any harm.(AW)
16 On that day
they will say to Jerusalem,
“Do not fear, Zion;
do not let your hands hang limp.(AX)
17 The Lord your God is with you,
the Mighty Warrior who saves.(AY)
He will take great delight(AZ) in you;
in his love he will no longer rebuke you,(BA)
but will rejoice over you with singing.”(BB)
18 “I will remove from you
all who mourn over the loss of your appointed festivals,
which is a burden and reproach for you.
19 At that time I will deal
with all who oppressed(BC) you.
I will rescue the lame;
I will gather the exiles.(BD)
I will give them praise(BE) and honor
in every land where they have suffered shame.
20 At that time I will gather you;
at that time I will bring(BF) you home.
I will give you honor(BG) and praise(BH)
among all the peoples of the earth
when I restore your fortunes[e](BI)
before your very eyes,”
says the Lord.

3 ¡Ay de la ciudad opresora,
rebelde y contaminada!
2 No atiende a consejos
ni acepta corrección.
No confía en el Señor
ni se acerca a su Dios.
3 Los oficiales que están en ella
son leones rugientes,
sus jueces son lobos nocturnos
que no dejan nada para la mañana.
4 Sus profetas son inescrupulosos,
personas traicioneras.
Sus sacerdotes profanan las cosas santas
y violan la Ley.
5 Pero el Señor que está en ella es justo
y no comete iniquidad.
Cada mañana imparte su justicia
y no deja de hacerlo cada nuevo día,
pero el inicuo no conoce la vergüenza.
6 «Exterminé naciones;
quedaron desoladas sus fortalezas.
Dejé sus calles desiertas
y nadie pasa por ellas.
Quedaron arrasadas sus ciudades,
sin ningún habitante.
7 Dije a la ciudad:
“¡Ciertamente me temerás;
aceptarás corrección!”.
Entonces no sería destruida su morada,
según todo lo que decreté contra ella.
A pesar de todo, se empeñaron
en corromper todas sus obras.
8 Espérenme, por tanto,
hasta el día que me levante a buscar el botín»,[a]
afirma el Señor,
«porque he decidido reunir a las naciones
y juntar a los reinos
para derramar sobre ellos mi indignación,
toda mi ardiente ira.
En el fuego de mi celo
toda la tierra será consumida.
9 »Purificaré los labios de los pueblos
para que todos invoquen el nombre del Señor
y lo sirvan de común acuerdo.
10 Desde más allá de los ríos de Cus
me traerán ofrendas
mis adoradores, mi pueblo disperso.
11 Aquel día no tendrás que avergonzarte más
de todas tus rebeliones contra mí.
Porque quitaré de en medio de ti
a esa gente altanera y jactanciosa,
y así nunca más volverás a ser arrogante
en mi santo monte.
12 Dejaré en medio de ti
un pueblo pobre y humilde,
que se refugia en el nombre del Señor.
13 El remanente de Israel
no cometerá iniquidad,
no dirá mentiras

¡Regocíjate y alégrate de todo corazón,
hija de Jerusalén!
15 El Señor te ha levantado el castigo;
ha puesto en retirada a tus enemigos.
El Señor, rey de Israel, está en medio de ti:
nunca más temerás mal alguno.
16 Aquel día dirán a Jerusalén:
«No temas, Sión, ni te desanimes,
17 porque el Señor tu Dios, está en medio de ti
como poderoso guerrero que salva.
Se deleitará en ti con gozo,
te renovará con su amor,
se alegrará por ti con cantos».
18 «Yo te libraré de las tristezas,
que son para ti una carga deshonrosa.[b]
19 En aquel tiempo yo mismo me ocuparé
de todos los que te oprimen;
salvaré a la oveja que cojea
y juntaré a la descarriada.
Les daré fama y renombre
en los países donde fueron avergonzados.
20 En aquel tiempo yo los traeré;
en aquel tiempo los reuniré.
Daré a ustedes fama y renombre
entre todos los pueblos de la tierra
cuando yo los restaure[c]

The Wickedness of Jerusalem
3 Woe to her who is rebellious and polluted,
To the oppressing city!
2 She has not obeyed His voice,
She has not received correction;
She has not trusted in the Lord,
She has not drawn near to her God.
3 (A)Her princes in her midst are roaring lions;
Her judges are (B)evening wolves
That leave not a bone till morning.
4 Her (C)prophets are insolent, treacherous people;
Her priests have [a]polluted the sanctuary,
They have done (D)violence to the law.
5 The Lord is righteous in her midst,
He will do no unrighteousness.
[b]Every morning He brings His justice to light;
He never fails,
But (E)the unjust knows no shame.
6 “I have cut off nations,
Their fortresses are devastated;
I have made their streets desolate,
With none passing by.
Their cities are destroyed;
There is no one, no inhabitant.
7 (F)I said, ‘Surely you will fear Me,
You will receive instruction’—
So that her dwelling would not be cut off,
Despite everything for which I punished her.
But [c]they rose early and (G)corrupted all their deeds.
A Faithful Remnant(H)
8 “Therefore (I)wait for Me,” says the Lord,
“Until the day I rise up [d]for plunder;
My determination is to (J)gather the nations
To My assembly of kingdoms,
To pour on them My indignation,
All My fierce anger;
All the earth (K)shall be devoured
With the fire of My jealousy.
9 “For then I will restore to the peoples (L)a pure [e]language,
That they all may call on the name of the Lord,
To serve Him with one accord.
10 (M)From beyond the rivers of Ethiopia
My worshipers,
The daughter of My dispersed ones,
Shall bring My offering.
11 In that day you shall not be shamed for any of your deeds
In which you transgress against Me;
For then I will take away from your midst
Those who (N)rejoice in your pride,
And you shall no longer be haughty
In My holy mountain.
12 I will leave in your midst
(O)A meek and humble people,
And they shall trust in the name of the Lord.
13 (P)The remnant of Israel (Q)shall do no unrighteousness
(R)And speak no lies,
Nor shall a deceitful tongue be found in their mouth;
For (S)they shall feed their flocks and lie down,
And no one shall make them afraid.”
Joy in God’s Faithfulness
14 (T)Sing, O daughter of Zion!
Shout, O Israel!
Be glad and rejoice with all your heart,
O daughter of Jerusalem!
15 The Lord has taken away your judgments,
He has cast out your enemy.
(U)The King of Israel, the Lord, (V)is in your midst;
You shall [f]see disaster no more.
16 In that day (W)it shall be said to Jerusalem:
“Do not fear;
Zion, (X)let not your hands be weak.
17 The Lord your God (Y)in your midst,
The Mighty One, will save;
(Z)He will rejoice over you with gladness,
He will quiet you with His love,
He will rejoice over you with singing.”
18 “I will gather those who (AA)sorrow over the appointed assembly,
Who are among you,
To whom its reproach is a burden.
19 Behold, at that time
I will deal with all who afflict you;
I will save the (AB)lame,
And gather those who were driven out;
I will appoint them for praise and fame
In every land where they were put to shame.
20 At that time (AC)I will bring you back,
Even at the time I gather you;
For I will give you [g]fame and praise
Among all the peoples of the earth,
When I return your captives before your eyes,”
Says the Lord.
