97 (A)Господ царува; нека се радва земята;
нека се веселят множеството острови.
2 (B)Облак и мрак са около Него;
правда и съд са основа на престола Му.
3 (C)Огън излиза пред Него
и изгаря противниците Му отвред.
4 (D)Светкавиците Му осветяват вселената;
земята вижда и трепери.
5 (E)Планините се топят като восък от присъствието Господне;
от присъствието на Господа на цялата земя.
6 (F)Небесата възвестяват правдата Му;
и всичките племена виждат славата Му
7 (G)Нека се посрамят всички, които служат на изваяните идоли,
които се хвалят с кумирите;
поклонете се на Него, всички богове.

上帝是至高的統治者
97 耶和華掌權，大地要歡欣！
眾海島要快樂！
2 密雲和黑暗環繞在祂周圍，
公義和公平是祂寶座的根基。
3 烈火做祂的先鋒，
燒滅祂周圍的仇敵。
4 祂的閃電照亮世界，
大地因此而戰抖。
5 在天下之主耶和華面前，
群山如蠟熔化。
6 諸天述說祂的公義，
萬民瞻仰祂的榮耀。
7 願一切祭拜神像，
以神像誇口的人都蒙羞。
所有的神明啊，
你們都要向耶和華下拜。
8 耶和華啊，聽見你的審判，
錫安就歡喜，
猶大的城邑就快樂。

The Lord Reigns. Throw Away Your Idols
Introduction
1 The Lord reigns. Let the earth celebrate.
Let the many islands and coastlands rejoice.
God Will Judge
2 Clouds and deep darkness surround him.
Righteousness and justice are the foundation of his throne.
3 Fire goes out in front of him.
It burns up his foes all around him.
4 His lightning lights up the world.
The earth sees and writhes in pain.
5 The mountains melt like wax
in the presence of the Lord,
in the presence of the Lord of all the earth.
6 The heavens proclaim his righteousness,
and all the peoples see his glory.
Warning Against Idols
7 All who serve idols are put to shame,
those who boast in “nothings.”[a]
Bow to him, all you gods![b]
His People’s Response
8 Zion hears and rejoices,
and the daughters of Judah[c] celebrate
because of your judgments, O Lord.
9 For you, O Lord, are the Most High over all the earth.
You are raised up far above all gods.
10 Let those who love the Lord hate evil.
He guards the lives of his favored ones.
He delivers them from the hand of the wicked.
11 Light rises[d] for the righteous
and joy for the upright in heart.
12 Rejoice in the Lord, you righteous,
and give thanks as you remember his holiness.

- Psalm 97:7 Or non-gods or mini-gods. The Hebrew word is a diminutive of either the word god or the word not.
- Psalm 97:7 As the preceding line makes clear, this does not express a belief in the existence of other gods. It states that they are nothing but demons.
- Psalm 97:8 The daughters of Judah are the small towns around Jerusalem and their inhabitants.
- Psalm 97:11 The translation follows some Hebrew manuscripts and ancient versions. The main Hebrew reading is light is sown. The Hebrew words for sow and rise differ by only one letter.
