21 (A)За първия певец. Давидов псалом.
Господи, в Твоята сила ще се весели царят;
и колко много ще се радва в избавлението Ти!
2 (B)Изпълнил си желанието на сърцето му
и от молбата на устните му не си го лишил. (Села.)
3 (C)Защото си го срещнал с благословения на блага;
положил си на главата му корона от чисто злато.
4 (D)Той проси от Тебе живот;
и Ти си му дал дългоденствие до вечни векове.
5 Голяма е славата му чрез Твоето избавление;
чест и величие си положил на него;
6 (E)защото си го поставил да бъде за благословение до века,
развеселил си го с радост в присъствието Си;
7 (F)защото царят уповава на Господа
и чрез милосърдието на Всевишния няма да се поклати.
8 (G)Ръката Ти ще намери всички Твои врагове;
десницата Ти ще намери онези, които Те мразят.
9 (H)Във времето на негодуванието Си ще ги направиш като огнена пещ;
Господ ще ги погълне с гнева Си
и огън ще ги изгори.
10 (I)Ще изтребиш плода им от земята
и потомството им измежду човешките синове.
11 (J)Защото, при все че намислиха зло против Тебе,
при все че измислиха заговор, няма да могат да го изпълнят,
12 понеже Ти ще ги направиш да обърнат гръб,
когато приготвиш на тетивите Си стрели против лицето им.
13 Издигни се, Господи, със силата Си;
така ще възпяваме и ще прославяме Твоето могъщество.
Psalm 21
King James Version
21 The king shall joy in thy strength, O Lord; and in thy salvation how greatly shall he rejoice!
2 Thou hast given him his heart's desire, and hast not withholden the request of his lips. Selah.
3 For thou preventest him with the blessings of goodness: thou settest a crown of pure gold on his head.
4 He asked life of thee, and thou gavest it him, even length of days for ever and ever.
5 His glory is great in thy salvation: honour and majesty hast thou laid upon him.
6 For thou hast made him most blessed for ever: thou hast made him exceeding glad with thy countenance.
7 For the king trusteth in the Lord, and through the mercy of the most High he shall not be moved.
8 Thine hand shall find out all thine enemies: thy right hand shall find out those that hate thee.
9 Thou shalt make them as a fiery oven in the time of thine anger: the Lord shall swallow them up in his wrath, and the fire shall devour them.
10 Their fruit shalt thou destroy from the earth, and their seed from among the children of men.
11 For they intended evil against thee: they imagined a mischievous device, which they are not able to perform.
12 Therefore shalt thou make them turn their back, when thou shalt make ready thine arrows upon thy strings against the face of them.
13 Be thou exalted, Lord, in thine own strength: so will we sing and praise thy power.

O Livro
Salmo de David. Para o diretor do coro.
21 O rei alegra-se na tua força, Senhor,
e regozija-se enormemente na tua salvação.
2 Porque lhe concedeste o desejo do seu coração
e não recusaste atender à súplica que te dirigiu. (Pausa)
3 Na tua bondade, deste-lhe prosperidade;
puseste na sua cabeça uma coroa de ouro fino.
4 Pediu-te vida e deste-lha;
uma vida prolongada até à eternidade.
5 Foi grandemente honrado com a tua salvação;
vestiste-o de esplendor e majestade.
6 Deste-lhe uma felicidade eterna;
tu o enches de gozo com a tua presença.
7 Porque o rei confia no Senhor;
pela misericórdia do Altíssimo,
ele nunca tropeçará.
8 A tua mão, Senhor, alcançará os teus inimigos
e todos os que te querem mal.
9 Quando apareceres,
serão destruídos como um forno aceso;
o fogo da indignação do Senhor os consumirá.
10 Destruirás a sua posteridade de sobre a Terra
e os seus filhos desaparecerão de entre a humanidade.
11 Pois tramaram o mal contra ti;
pensaram em ardis para te prejudicarem,
mas sem a possibilidade de qualquer sucesso.
12 Portanto, os farás dar meia-volta e fugir,
quando virem as tuas flechas apontadas contra eles.
13 Senhor, seja grande a tua força
e cantaremos e louvaremos o teu poder.

Joy in the Salvation of the Lord
To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David.
21 The king shall have joy in Your strength, O Lord;
And in Your salvation how greatly shall he rejoice!
2 You have given him his heart’s desire,
And have not withheld the (A)request of his lips. Selah
3 For You meet him with the blessings of goodness;
You set a crown of pure gold upon his head.
4 (B)He asked life from You, and You gave it to him—
Length of days forever and ever.
5 His glory is great in Your salvation;
Honor and majesty You have placed upon him.
6 For You have made him most blessed forever;
(C)You have made him [a]exceedingly glad with Your presence.
7 For the king trusts in the Lord,
And through the mercy of the Most High he shall not be [b]moved.
8 Your hand will find all Your enemies;
Your right hand will find those who hate You.
9 You shall make them as a fiery oven in the time of Your anger;
The Lord shall swallow them up in His wrath,
And the fire shall devour them.
10 Their offspring You shall destroy from the earth,
And their [c]descendants from among the sons of men.
11 For they intended evil against You;
They devised a plot which they are not able to (D)perform.
12 Therefore You will make them turn their back;
You will make ready Your arrows on Your string toward their faces.
13 Be exalted, O Lord, in Your own strength!
We will sing and praise Your power.
