20 (A)За първия певец. Давидов псалом.
Господ да те послуша в скръбен ден;
името на Бога Яковов да те постави нависоко!
2 (B)Да ти прати помощ от светилището
и да те подкрепи от Сион!
3 Да си спомни всички твои приноси
и да приеме всеизгарянето ти! (Села.)
4 (C)Да ти даде според желанието на сърцето ти
и да изпълни всяко твое намерение!
5 (D)В спасението Ти ще се зарадваме
и в името на нашия Бог ще издигнем знамена.
Господ да изпълни всички твои прошения!
6 (E)Сега зная, че Господ избавя помазаника Си;
ще го послуша от святото Си небе
със спасителната сила на десницата Си.
7 (F)Едни споменават колесници, а други коне;
но ние ще споменем името на Господа, нашия Бог.
8 Те се спънаха и паднаха;
а ние станахме и се изправихме.
9 Господи, пази ни!
Нека ни послуша Царят, когато Го призовем.

20 The Lord hear thee in the day of trouble; the name of the God of Jacob defend thee;
2 Send thee help from the sanctuary, and strengthen thee out of Zion;
3 Remember all thy offerings, and accept thy burnt sacrifice; Selah.
4 Grant thee according to thine own heart, and fulfil all thy counsel.
5 We will rejoice in thy salvation, and in the name of our God we will set up our banners: the Lord fulfil all thy petitions.
6 Now know I that the Lord saveth his anointed; he will hear him from his holy heaven with the saving strength of his right hand.
7 Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the Lord our God.
8 They are brought down and fallen: but we are risen, and stand upright.
9 Save, Lord: let the king hear us when we call.

Salmo de David. Para o diretor do coro.
20 Que o Senhor te ouça quando estiveres angustiado.
Que o nome do Deus de Jacob te proteja.
2 Que te envie o seu socorro,
desde a sua santa morada em Sião.
3 Que ele se lembre de todas as tuas ofertas
e aceite os teus holocaustos em sua honra. (Pausa)
4 Que te conceda o que deseja o teu coração
e cumpra todos os teus planos.
5 Haveremos de nos alegrar com a tua vitória,
e em louvor do nome do nosso Deus
levantaremos as nossas bandeiras.
Assim, o Senhor responda a todos os teus pedidos.
6 Eu sei que o Senhor salva o seu ungido.
Ele o ouvirá desde o céu, desde a sua santa casa,
e responderá com a força salvadora da sua mão direita.
7 Há quem confie em exércitos e nos seus cavalos,
mas nós confiaremos no nome do Senhor, nosso Deus.
8 Outros são batidos e caem vencidos;
nós levantamo-nos e ficamos de pé.
9 Dá a vitória ao nosso rei, Senhor,
e ouve a nossa oração!

1 May the Lord answer you when you are in distress;(A)
may the name of the God of Jacob(B) protect you.(C)
2 May he send you help(D) from the sanctuary(E)
and grant you support(F) from Zion.(G)
3 May he remember(H) all your sacrifices
and accept your burnt offerings.[b](I)
4 May he give you the desire of your heart(J)
and make all your plans succeed.(K)
5 May we shout for joy(L) over your victory
and lift up our banners(M) in the name of our God.
May the Lord grant all your requests.(N)
6 Now this I know:
The Lord gives victory to his anointed.(O)
He answers him from his heavenly sanctuary
with the victorious power of his right hand.(P)
7 Some trust in chariots(Q) and some in horses,(R)
but we trust in the name of the Lord our God.(S)
8 They are brought to their knees and fall,(T)
but we rise up(U) and stand firm.(V)
