Пастух и его овцы
10 Иисус сказал: «Истинно вам говорю: кто не зайдёт в овечий загон через ворота, а заберётся туда любым другим путём, тот вор и грабитель. 2 Кто же заходит через ворота, тот пастух стада. 3 Сторож открывает ему ворота, и овцы послушны его голосу. Он называет своих овец по именам и выводит их из загона. 4 Выведя овец, он шагает впереди, а они следуют за ним, так как знают его голос. 5 Но они никогда не пойдут вслед за тем, кого не знают, скорее, убегут от него, так как его голос им не знаком».
6 Иисус рассказал людям эту притчу, но они не поняли её значения.
Иисус—добрый пастух
7 И тогда Иисус снова сказал: «Истинно вам говорю, что Я и есть те ворота для овец. 8 Все те, кто приходили до Меня,—воры и грабители, и овцы не слушались их. 9 Я—эти ворота, и каждый, кто войдёт через Меня, будет спасён. Он войдёт и выйдет, и найдёт всё, что ему нужно. 10 Вор приходит только для того, чтобы красть, убивать и уничтожать. Я же пришёл, чтобы дать жизнь и дать её с избытком.
11 Я—добрый пастух. Добрый пастух отдаёт свою жизнь ради спасения овец. 12 А наёмный работник—не пастух, и овцы не принадлежат ему, и потому, завидев мчащегося к ним волка, он бросает их и убегает прочь. Волк нападает на овец, и они разбегаются в разные стороны. 13 Наёмный работник убегает прочь, потому что его наняли и ему всё равно, что будет с овцами.
14 Я—добрый пастух. Я знаю Своих овец, и Мои овцы знают Меня 15 так же, как Отец знает Меня и Я знаю Отца. Я отдаю Свою жизнь за Моих овец. 16 У Меня есть и другие овцы, которые не принадлежат к этому стаду. Я должен привести их в стадо, и они тоже будут слушаться Моего голоса, и станут единым стадом с одним пастухом[a]. 17 Потому Отец и любит Меня, что Я отдаю жизнь, чтобы вновь получить её. 18 Никто не отнимает её у Меня, но Я сам отдаю её по Своей воле. Я имею власть отдать Свою жизнь и имею власть вновь получить её. Вот что повелел Мне Мой Отец».
19 Из-за этих слов опять началась распря между иудеями. 20 Многие из них говорили: «Он одержим бесом и не в Своём уме. Что вы Его слушаете?»
21 Другие говорили: «Такие слова не могут исходить от одержимого. И уж, конечно, бес не может даровать зрение слепым».
Иисус отвергнут иудейскими предводителями
22 Тем временем в Иерусалиме наступил праздник Обновления. Была зима. 23 Иисус ходил по двору храма у Соломонова портика. 24 Вокруг Него собрались иудейские предводители и стали Его расспрашивать: «Как долго ещё нам недоумевать, Кто Ты Такой? Если Ты Христос, то скажи нам прямо».
25 Иисус ответил им: «Я уже сказал вам, а вы не хотите верить. Дела, которые Я совершаю во имя Моего Отца, сами говорят за Меня. 26 Вы, однако, не верите, потому что вы не принадлежите к числу Моих овец. 27 Мои овцы прислушиваются к Моему голосу. Я знаю их, и они следуют за Мной. 28 Я даю им вечную жизнь, и они никогда не умрут, и никто не похитит их из Моей руки. 29 То, что дал Мне Мой Отец,—важнее всего остального[b], и никто не может похитить ничего из руки Моего Отца. 30 Я и Отец—едины».
31 Собравшиеся иудеи снова стали подбирать камни, чтобы побить Его. 32 Иисус же спросил их: «Я совершил для вас много добрых дел волей Отца. За какое же из них вы собираетесь побить Меня камнями?»
33 Иудеи ответили Ему: «Не за доброе дело мы собираемся побить Тебя, а за то, что Ты, простой смертный, оскорбляешь Всевышнего, выдавая Себя за Бога».
34 Иисус сказал: «Разве не написано в вашем законе: „Я сказал, что вы боги”[c]? 35 Если о тех, кто узнали слово Божье, сказано, что они боги, а Писания нельзя оспаривать, 36 то как вы можете говорить Тому, Кого Отец избрал и послал в мир: „Ты оскорбляешь Всевышнего”, только потому, что Я сказал: „Я—Сын Божий”? 37 Если Я не делаю того, что делает Мой Отец, то не верьте Мне. 38 Если же Я делаю, то, даже если вы не верите Мне, поверьте Моим делам, и тогда вы будете знать и поймёте, что Отец—во Мне, а Я—в Отце».
39 Тогда они ещё раз попытались схватить Его, но Он ускользнул из их рук.
40 Иисус снова отправился на другой берег Иордана, туда, где раньше Иоанн крестил народ, и оставался там некоторое время. 41 Многие приходили к Нему и говорили: «Иоанн не явил никакого знамения, но всё, что он сказал об Этом Человеке—правда!» 42 И многие из бывших там поверили в Иисуса.

Jesus the True Shepherd
10 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who does not enter the sheepfold by the door, but climbs up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber. 2 But he who enters by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. 3 To him the doorkeeper opens, and the sheep hear his voice; and he calls his own sheep by (A)name and leads them out. 4 And when he brings out his own sheep, he goes before them; and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice. 5 Yet they will by no means follow a (B)stranger, but will flee from him, for they do not know the voice of strangers.” 6 Jesus used this illustration, but they did not understand the things which He spoke to them.
Jesus the Good Shepherd
7 Then Jesus said to them again, “Most assuredly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep. 8 All who ever came [a]before Me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not hear them. 9 (C)I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture. 10 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.
11 (D)“I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep. 12 But a [b]hireling, he who is not the shepherd, one who does not own the sheep, sees the wolf coming and (E)leaves the sheep and flees; and the wolf catches the sheep and scatters them. 13 The hireling flees because he is a hireling and does not care about the sheep. 14 I am the good shepherd; and (F)I know My sheep, and (G)am known by My own. 15 (H)As the Father knows Me, even so I know the Father; (I)and I lay down My life for the sheep. 16 And (J)other sheep I have which are not of this fold; them also I must bring, and they will hear My voice; (K)and there will be one flock and one shepherd.
17 “Therefore My Father (L)loves Me, (M)because I lay down My life that I may take it again. 18 No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down of Myself. I (N)have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. (O)This command I have received from My Father.”
19 Therefore (P)there was a division again among the Jews because of these sayings. 20 And many of them said, (Q)“He has a demon and is [c]mad. Why do you listen to Him?”
21 Others said, “These are not the words of one who has a demon. (R)Can a demon (S)open the eyes of the blind?”
The Shepherd Knows His Sheep
22 Now it was the Feast of Dedication in Jerusalem, and it was winter. 23 And Jesus walked in the temple, (T)in Solomon’s porch. 24 Then the Jews surrounded Him and said to Him, “How long do You keep us in [d]doubt? If You are the Christ, tell us plainly.”
25 Jesus answered them, “I told you, and you do not believe. (U)The works that I do in My Father’s name, they (V)bear witness of Me. 26 But (W)you do not believe, because you are not of My sheep, [e]as I said to you. 27 (X)My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. 28 And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. 29 (Y)My Father, (Z)who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand. 30 (AA)I and My Father are one.”
Renewed Efforts to Stone Jesus
31 Then (AB)the Jews took up stones again to stone Him. 32 Jesus answered them, “Many good works I have shown you from My Father. For which of those works do you stone Me?”
33 The Jews answered Him, saying, “For a good work we do not stone You, but for (AC)blasphemy, and because You, being a Man, (AD)make Yourself God.”
34 Jesus answered them, “Is it not written in your law, (AE)‘I said, “You are gods” ’? 35 If He called them gods, (AF)to whom the word of God came (and the Scripture (AG)cannot be broken), 36 do you say of Him (AH)whom the Father sanctified and (AI)sent into the world, ‘You are blaspheming,’ (AJ)because I said, ‘I am (AK)the Son of God’? 37 (AL)If I do not do the works of My Father, do not believe Me; 38 but if I do, though you do not believe Me, (AM)believe the works, that you may know and [f]believe (AN)that the Father is in Me, and I in Him.” 39 (AO)Therefore they sought again to seize Him, but He escaped out of their hand.
The Believers Beyond Jordan
40 And He went away again beyond the Jordan to the place (AP)where John was baptizing at first, and there He stayed. 41 Then many came to Him and said, “John performed no sign, (AQ)but all the things that John spoke about this Man were true.” 42 And many believed in Him there.

I Am the Good Shepherd
10 “Truly, truly, I say to you, he who does not enter the sheepfold by the door but climbs in by another way, that man is a thief and a robber. 2 But he who enters by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. 3 To him the gatekeeper opens. The sheep hear his voice, and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. 4 When he has brought out all his own, he goes before them, and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice. 5 (A)A stranger they will not follow, but they will flee from him, for they do not know the voice of strangers.” 6 This figure of speech Jesus (B)used with them, but they (C)did not understand what he was saying to them.
7 So Jesus again said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, (D)I am the door of the sheep. 8 All who came before me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not listen to them. 9 I am the door. I and the Father Are One

31 (AY)The Jews picked up stones again to stone him. 32 Jesus answered them, “I have shown you many good works from the Father; for which of them are you going to stone me?” 33 The Jews answered him, “It is not for a good work that we are going to stone you but (AZ)for blasphemy, because you, being a man, (BA)make yourself God.” 34 Jesus answered them, “Is it not written in (BB)your Law, (BC)‘I said, you are gods’? 35 If he called them gods to whom the word of God came—and Scripture cannot be (BD)broken— 36 do you say of him whom (BE)the Father consecrated and (BF)sent into the world, ‘You are blaspheming,’ because (BG)I said, ‘I am the Son of God’? 37 (BH)If I am not doing the works of my Father, then do not believe me; 38 but if I do them, (BI)even though you do not believe me, believe the works, that you may know and understand that (BJ)the Father is in me and I am in the Father.” 39 (BK)Again they sought to arrest him, but he escaped from their hands.
40 He went away again across the Jordan to the place (BL)where John had been baptizing at first, and there he remained. 41 And many came to him. And they said, “John did no sign, but (BM)everything that John said about this man was true.” 42 And (BN)many believed in him there.
