10 Затем я увидел другого могучего ангела, спускающегося с небес. Он был окутан облаком, и над его головой сияла радуга. Его лицо было как солнце, а ноги – как огненные столбы.[a] 2 Ангел держал в руке маленький развёрнутый свиток. Он поставил правую ногу на море, а левую на сушу. 3 Он закричал, и его крик напоминал рёв льва, и от этого крика заговорили семь громов.[b] 4 Когда проговорили семь громов, я приготовился писать, но голос с небес сказал мне:
– Сохрани в тайне то, что сказали семь громов, не записывай этого.[c]
5 Затем ангел, которого я видел стоящим одновременно на море и на суше, поднял правую руку к небу. 6 Он поклялся вечно Живущим,[d] сотворившим небеса и то, что на них, землю и то, что на ней, и море с тем, что в нём.[e]
– Промедления больше не будет! – сказал он. – 7 Но в те дни, когда седьмой ангел будет готов протрубить, тогда скрытый план Всевышнего будет полностью осуществлён, как Он и объявил об этом Своим рабам пророкам.
8 Потом голос, который я слышал с небес, ещё раз обратился ко мне:
– Пойди и возьми открытый свиток из руки ангела, стоящего на море и на суше.
9 Я подошёл к ангелу и попросил его дать мне этот маленький свиток. Ангел сказал мне:
– Возьми его и съешь. От него у тебя будет горько в желудке, но во рту он будет сладким, как мёд.
10 Я взял маленький свиток из руки ангела и съел его: во рту он был сладким, как мёд, но в желудке потом была от него горечь.[f]
11 Тогда мне было сказано:
– Тебе предстоит опять пророчествовать о судьбах многих народов, племён, родов и царей.

Его лицо было словно солнце, а ноги подобны огненным столпам. 2 У него в руке был небольшой развёрнутый свиток. Он поставил правую ногу на море, а левую—на сушу, 3 и закричал громким голосом, подобным рычанию льва. И когда он закричал, то семь громов подали свои голоса. 4 Когда же заговорили семь громов, я приготовился писать, но услышал, как голос с небес сказал: «Сохрани в тайне то, что сказали семь громов и ничего не записывай».
5 И тогда Ангел, которого я видел стоящим на море и на суше, поднял правую руку к небу. 6 Он поклялся властью Живущего во веки веков, Который создал небо и всё живое на нём, и землю и всё живое на ней, и море и всё живое в нём, сказав: «Не будет больше задержки! 7 Когда настанет время седьмому Ангелу затрубить в трубу, то свершится тайна Божья, которую Бог благовествовал Своим слугам, пророкам».
8 Тогда голос, который я раньше услышал с небес, снова обратился ко мне и сказал: «Иди, возьми развёрнутый свиток из рук Ангела, стоящего на суше и на море».
9 Я подошёл к Ангелу и попросил его дать мне свиток. Он сказал мне: «Возьми свиток и съешь его. В желудке у тебя будет от него горько, но во рту будет сладко, словно от мёда». 10 Затем я взял свиток из руки Ангела и съел его. Во рту моём было сладко от него, как от мёда, но как только я съел его, стало горько у меня в желудке. 11 Тогда Ангел снова сказал мне: «Ты должен снова пророчествовать о многих народах, племенах, языках и царях».

The Angel and the Little Scroll
10 Then I saw another mighty angel(A) coming down from heaven.(B) He was robed in a cloud, with a rainbow(C) above his head; his face was like the sun,(D) and his legs were like fiery pillars.(E) 2 He was holding a little scroll,(F) which lay open in his hand. He planted his right foot on the sea and his left foot on the land,(G) 3 and he gave a loud shout like the roar of a lion.(H) When he shouted, the voices of the seven thunders(I) spoke. 4 And when the seven thunders spoke, I was about to write;(J) but I heard a voice from heaven(K) say, “Seal up what the seven thunders have said and do not write it down.”(L)
5 Then the angel I had seen standing on the sea and on the land(M) raised his right hand to heaven.(N) 6 And he swore(O) by him who lives for ever and ever,(P) who created the heavens and all that is in them, the earth and all that is in it, and the sea and all that is in it,(Q) and said, “There will be no more delay!(R) 7 But in the days when the seventh angel is about to sound his trumpet,(S) the mystery(T) of God will be accomplished, just as he announced to his servants the prophets.”(U)
8 Then the voice that I had heard from heaven(V) spoke to me once more: “Go, take the scroll(W) that lies open in the hand of the angel who is standing on the sea and on the land.”
9 So I went to the angel and asked him to give me the little scroll. He said to me, “Take it and eat it. It will turn your stomach sour, but ‘in your mouth it will be as sweet as honey.’[a]”(X) 10 I took the little scroll from the angel’s hand and ate it. It tasted as sweet as honey in my mouth,(Y) but when I had eaten it, my stomach turned sour. 11 Then I was told, “You must prophesy(Z) again about many peoples, nations, languages and kings.”(AA)

The Mighty Angel with the Little Book
10 I saw still another mighty angel coming down from heaven, clothed with a cloud. (A)And a rainbow was on (B)his head, his face was like the sun, and (C)his feet like pillars of fire. 2 He had a little book open in his hand. (D)And he set his right foot on the sea and his left foot on the land, 3 and cried with a loud voice, as when a lion roars. When he cried out, (E)seven thunders uttered their voices. 4 Now when the seven thunders [a]uttered their voices, I was about to write; but I heard a voice from heaven saying [b]to me, (F)“Seal up the things which the seven thunders uttered, and do not write them.”
5 The angel whom I saw standing on the sea and on the land (G)raised up his [c]hand to heaven 6 and swore by Him who lives forever and ever, (H)who created heaven and the things that are in it, the earth and the things that are in it, and the sea and the things that are in it, (I)that there should be delay no longer, 7 but (J)in the days of the sounding of the seventh angel, when he is about to sound, the mystery of God would be finished, as He declared to His servants the prophets.
John Eats the Little Book
8 Then the voice which I heard from heaven spoke to me again and said, “Go, take the little book which is open in the hand of the angel who stands on the sea and on the earth.”
9 So I went to the angel and said to him, “Give me the little book.”
And he said to me, (K)“Take and eat it; and it will make your stomach bitter, but it will be as sweet as honey in your mouth.”
10 Then I took the little book out of the angel’s hand and ate it, (L)and it was as sweet as honey in my mouth. But when I had eaten it, (M)my stomach became bitter. 11 And [d]he said to me, “You must prophesy again about many peoples, nations, tongues, and kings.”
