Гнев Вечного против Исроила
13 Когда Ефраим говорил, люди дрожали.
Он был возвышен в Исроиле,
но стал повинен в поклонении Баалу и погиб.
2 Теперь они грешат всё больше и больше:
они делают для себя идолов из своего серебра,
мастерски отлитые истуканы;
всё это – изделия ремесленников.
Они говорят людям:
«Приносите жертвы
и целуйте идолов-тельцов».
3 Поэтому они будут как утренний туман,
как роса, что вскоре исчезает,
словно мякина от зерна, сдуваемая ветром,
как дым, выходящий через дымоход.
4 – Но Я – Вечный, ваш Бог,
Который вывел вас из Египта.
Вы не должны признавать другого Бога, кроме Меня,
и никакого спасителя, кроме Меня.
5 Я заботился о вас в пустыне,
в обжигающей зноем земле.
6 Когда Я кормил вас,[a] вы насыщались,
а насытившись, становились гордыми;
поэтому вы забыли обо Мне.
7 Итак, Я настигну вас, как лев,
как барс в ожидании, притаюсь у дороги.
8 Как медведица, лишённая своих медвежат,
Я нападу на вас и раздеру вам грудь.
Как львица, Я буду поедать вас,
и, как дикое животное, буду раздирать вас на части.
9 Я уничтожу тебя, Исроил,
потому что ты против Меня,
против своего Помощника.
10 Где теперь твой царь?
Пусть он спасёт тебя во всех твоих городах!
Где твои судьи, о которых ты просил:
«Дай нам царя и вождей»?
11 В Своём негодовании Я дал тебе царя,
и в гневе Своём Я забрал его.
12 Беззаконие Ефраима завязано в узел,
грехи его хранятся.
13 Его настигнут муки, как у женщины при родах,
но он – неразумное дитя;
ему пришло время родиться,
а он упирается, желая остаться в утробе.
14 Я избавлю их от власти мира мёртвых,
Я искуплю их от смерти.
О смерть! Где твоё бедствие?
О мир мёртвых! Где твоё разрушение?
Я не пожалею об этом.
15 Хотя Ефраим[b] процветает среди своих братьев,
придёт восточный ветер от Вечного,
задует из пустыни,
и иссохнет родник его,
иссякнет источник его;
унесёт все его драгоценности
из сокровищницы.

La idolatría de Efraín condenada
13 Cuando Efraín hablaba, reinaba el temor[a](A);
se había exaltado a sí mismo en Israel(B),
pero por causa de Baal pecó[b] y murió(C).
2 Y ahora continúan pecando:
se hacen imágenes fundidas(D),
ídolos, con su plata, conforme a su pericia[c](E),
todo ello obra de artífices(F).
De ellos dicen: Que los hombres que sacrifican[d], besen los becerros(G).
3 Por tanto, serán como niebla de la mañana,
y como rocío que pronto desaparece[e](H),
como paja aventada de la era(I),
y como humo de chimenea[f](J).
4 Mas yo he sido el Señor tu Dios
desde la tierra de Egipto(K);
no reconocerás a otro dios fuera de mí(L),
pues no hay más salvador que yo(M).
5 Yo te cuidé[g] en el desierto(N),
en tierra muy seca(O).
6 Cuando comían sus pastos, se saciaron(P),
y al estar saciados, se ensoberbeció su corazón(Q);
por tanto, se olvidaron de mí(R).
7 Seré, pues, para ellos como león(S);
como leopardo junto al camino acecharé[h](T).
8 Como osa privada de sus cachorros(U), me enfrentaré a ellos
y les desgarraré el pecho[i],
y allí los devoraré como leona(V),
como los desgarraría una bestia salvaje.
9 Tu destrucción vendrá, oh Israel,
porque estás contra mí(W), contra tu ayuda[j](X).
10 ¿Dónde está ahora tu rey(Y)
para que te salve en todas tus ciudades,
y tus jueces de quienes me decías(Z):
Dame rey y príncipes?
11 Te di rey en mi ira(AA),
y te lo quité en mi furor(AB).
12 Atada está la iniquidad de Efraín,
guardado su pecado(AC).
13 Dolores de parto vienen sobre él(AD);
no es un hijo sensato(AE),
porque no es hora de que se demore en la apertura del vientre[k](AF).
14 ¿Los libraré del poder[l](AG) del Seol[m]?
¿Los redimiré de la muerte?
¿Dónde están, oh muerte, tus espinas[n]?
¿Dónde está, oh Seol, tu aguijón[o](AH)?
La compasión estará oculta a mi vista(AI).
15 Aunque él florezca entre los juncos[p](AJ),
vendrá el solano(AK),
viento del Señor que sube del desierto,
y su fuente se secará(AL)
y su manantial se agotará;
despojará su tesoro de todos los objetos preciosos(AM).
16 [q]Samaria será considerada culpable(AN),
porque se rebeló contra su Dios(AO).
Caerán a espada(AP);
serán estrellados sus niños(AQ),
y abiertos los vientres de sus mujeres encinta(AR).

Hosea 13
Young's Literal Translation
13 When Ephraim speaketh tremblingly, He hath been lifted up in Israel, When he becometh guilty in Baal he dieth.
2 And now do they add to sin, And make to them a molten image of their silver, By their own understanding -- idols, A work of artizans -- all of it, Of them they say, who [are] sacrificers among men, `The calves let them kiss.'
3 Therefore they are as a cloud of the morning, And as dew, rising early, going away, As chaff tossed about out of a floor, And as smoke out of a window.
4 And I [am] Jehovah thy God from the land of Egypt, And a God besides Me thou dost not know, And a Saviour -- there is none save Me.
5 I -- I have known thee in a wilderness, In a land of droughts.
6 According to their feedings they are satiated, They have been satiated, And their heart is lifted up, Therefore they have forgotten Me,
7 And I am to them as a lion, As a leopard by the way I look out.
8 I do meet them as a bereaved bear, And I rend the enclosure of their heart.
9 And I consume them there as a lioness, A beast of the field doth rend them.
10 Thou hast destroyed thyself, O Israel, But in Me [is] thy help, Where [is] thy king now -- And he doth save thee in all thy cities? And thy judges of whom thou didst say, `Give to me a king and heads?'
11 I give to thee a king in Mine anger, And I take away in My wrath.
12 Bound up [is] the iniquity of Ephraim, Hidden [is] his sin,
13 Pangs of a travailing woman come to him, He [is] a son not wise, For he remaineth not the time for the breaking forth of sons.
14 From the hand of Sheol I do ransom them, From death I redeem them, Where [is] thy plague, O death? Where thy destruction, O Sheol? Repentance is hid from Mine eyes.
15 Though he among brethren produceth fruit, Come in doth an east wind, a wind of Jehovah, From a wilderness it is coming up, And it drieth up his fountain, And become dry doth his spring, It -- it spoileth a treasure -- every desirable vessel.
16 Become desolate doth Samaria, Because she hath rebelled against her God, By sword they do fall, Their sucklings are dashed in pieces, And its pregnant ones are ripped up!
