32 (A)Словото, което дойде към Йеремия от Господа в десетата година на Юдейския цар Седекия, която година беше осемнадесетата на Навуходоносор.

2 (B)По това време войската на вавилонския цар обсаждаше Йерусалим; а пророк Йеремия беше затворен в двора на стражата, която беше в двореца на Юдейския цар.

3 (C)Защото Юдейският цар Седекия го беше затворил и му беше казал: Защо пророкуваш, като казваш: Така казва Господ: Ето, Аз ще предам този град в ръката на вавилонския цар и той ще го завладее;

4 (D)и Юдейският цар Седекия няма да избегне от ръката на халдейците, а непременно ще бъде предаден в ръката на вавилонския цар и ще говори с него уста с уста, и ще се погледнат очи в очи;

5 (E)и той ще заведе Седекия във Вавилон; и ще бъде там, докато го посетя, казва Господ; и ако воювате против халдейците, няма да успеете?

6 Йеремия отговори: Господнето слово дойде към мен и каза:

7 (F)Ето, Анамеил, син на чичо ти Селум, ще дойде при теб и ще каже: Купи си нивата ми, която е в Анатот; защото на тебе принадлежи правото на близък сродник да я откупиш.

8 И така, чичовият ми син Анамеил дойде при мене в двора на стражата, според Господнето слово, и ми каза: Купи, моля, нивата ми, която е в Анатот във Вениаминовата земя; защото на тебе принадлежи правото да я наследиш и на тебе – правото да я откупиш; купи я за себе си. Тогава познах, че това предложение беше Господне слово.

9 (G)И купих нивата, която е в Анатот, от чичовия ми син Анамеил и му претеглих парите, седемнадесет сикъла сребро.

10 След като написах записа и ударих печата, повиках свидетели и претеглих среброто във везните.

11 Тогава взех записа за покупката – както запечатания, съдържащ споразуменията и условията, така и отворения;

12 (H)и предадох записа за покупката на Варух, син на Нирия, Маасиевия син, пред чичовия ми син Анамеил и пред свидетелите, които подписаха записа за покупката, пред всички юдеи, които седяха в двора на стражата.

13 И заръчах на Варух пред тях, като казах:

14 Така казва Господ на Силите, Израилевият Бог: Вземи тези записи – този запечатан запис за покупката и този отворен запис – и ги сложи в пръстен съд, за да стоят за дълго време.

15 (I)Защото така казва Господ на Силите, Израилевият Бог: Пак ще се купуват в тази земя къщи, ниви и лозя.

16 А след като предадох записа за покупката на Варух, Нириевия син, се помолих на Господа:

17 (J)О, Господи Йехова; ето, Ти си създал небето и земята с голямата Си сила и с простряната Си мишца; няма нищо трудно за Тебе,

18 (K)Който показваш милост към хиляди родове, а въздаваш беззаконието на бащите в пазвата на децата им след тях; великият, могъщественият Бог, Господ на Силите е името Му,

19 (L)велик в намерения и силен в дела, Чиито очи са отворени над всички пътища на човешките деца, за да въздадеш на всеки според пътищата му и според плода на делата му;

20 (M)Ти, Който си извършил знамения и чудеса в Египетската земя, известни дори до днес и в Израил, и между другите хора, и си придоби име, каквото е днес;

21 (N)и си извел народа Си Израил от Египетската земя със знамения и чудеса, с мощна ръка, с издигната мишца и с голям ужас;

22 и си им дал тази земя, за която си се заклел на бащите им да я дадеш на тях – земя, където тече мляко и мед;

23 (O)и те влязоха и я завладяха; но понеже не послушаха гласа Ти, нито ходиха по закона Ти и не направиха нито едно нещо от всичко, което си им заповядал да правят, затова си докарал върху тях цялото това зло.

24 (P)Ето могилите! Неприятелите стигнаха до града, за да го завладеят; и градът е предаден в ръката на халдейците, които воюват против него, поради меча и глада, и мора; и това, което си говорил, стана; ето, Ти виждаш!

25 (Q)А въпреки това, Господи Боже, Ти ми каза: Купи си нивата с пари и повикай свидетели; при все че градът е предаден в ръката на халдейците.

26 Тогава Господнето слово дойде към Йеремия и каза:

27 (R)Ето, Аз съм Господ, Бог на всяка твар; има ли нещо трудно за Мене?

28 (S)Затова така казва Господ: Ето, ще предам този град в ръката на халдейците и в ръката на вавилонския цар Навуходоносор и той ще го превземе.

29 (T)И халдейците, които воюват против този град, ще дойдат и като запалят този град, ще го изгорят заедно с къщите, върху чиито покриви кадеха на Ваал и правеха възлияния на други богове, и Ме разгневяваха.

30 (U)Защото израилтяните и юдеите са извършвали само това, което беше зло пред Мен, от младостта си; защото израилтяните не правеха друго освен да Ме разгневяват с делата на ръцете си, казва Господ.

31 (V)Защото от деня, когато съградиха този град, дори до днес той е раздразнявал гнева Ми и яростта Ми, за да го отхвърля от лицето Си

32 (W)поради цялото зло, което израилтяните и юдеите извършиха и Ме раздразняваха – те, царете им, първенците им, свещениците им, пророците им, Юдовите мъже и йерусалимските жители.

33 (X)Те обърнаха гръб към Мен, а не лице; и при все че Аз ги учех, като ставах рано и ги поучавах, те пак не послушаха и не приеха поука;

34 (Y)а поставиха мерзостите си в дома, който се нарича с Моето име, и го оскверниха;

35 (Z)и съградиха високите места на Ваал, които са в долината на Еномовия син, за да превеждат синовете и дъщерите си през огъня на Молох – нещо, което не съм им заповядал, нито е идвала на сърцето Ми мисълта, че ще извършат тази мерзост, за да подтикнат Юда да съгрешава.

36 (AA)И така, сега така казва Господ, Израилевият Бог, за този град, за който вие казвате: Ще бъде предаден в ръката на вавилонския цар с меч, глад и мор:

37 (AB)Ето, ще ги събера от всички страни, където ги бях изгонил в гнева Си, в яростта Си и в голямото Си негодувание; и като ги върна в това място, ще ги населя в безопасност;

38 (AC)и те ще Ми бъдат народ, и Аз ще им бъда Бог;

39 (AD)и ще им дам едно сърце да ходят в един път, за да се боят от Мене винаги – за тяхно добро и за доброто на децата им след тях;

40 (AE)и ще сключа с тях вечен завет, че няма да се отвърна от тях да ги диря, за да им правя добро; и ще вложа в сърцата им страх от Мене, за да не отстъпят от Мене;

41 (AF)дори ще се радвам над тях да им правя добро и ще ги насадя с вярност в тази земя, с цялото Си сърце и с цялата Си душа.

42 (AG)Защото така казва Господ: Както докарах върху този народ цялото това голямо зло, така ще докарам върху тях и цялото добро, което съм им обещал.

43 (AH)Ще се купуват ниви в тази земя, за която казвате: Пуста е без човек или животно; предадена е в ръката на халдейците.

44 (AI)Ще купуват ниви с пари и като подписват записи и ги запечатват, ще повикват свидетели във Вениаминовата земя и в йерусалимските околности, в Юдовите градове и в планинските градове, в полските градове и в южните градове; защото ще ги върна от плена им, казва Господ.

Parábola del terreno

32 Esta es la palabra del Señor, que vino a Jeremías en el año décimo del reinado de Sedequías en Judá, es decir, en el año dieciocho de Nabucodonosor. 2 En aquel tiempo el ejército del rey de Babilonia mantuvo sitiada a Jerusalén y el profeta Jeremías estuvo preso en el patio de la guardia del palacio real.

3 Sedequías, el rey de Judá, lo tenía preso y le reprochaba: «¿Por qué andas profetizando: “Así dice el Señor”? Andas proclamando que el Señor dice: “Voy a entregar esta ciudad en manos del rey de Babilonia. Él la capturará 4 y Sedequías, rey de Judá, no escapará de la mano de los babilonios,[a] sino que será entregado en manos del rey de Babilonia y hablará con él cara a cara y lo verá con sus ojos. 5 El Señor afirma que Sedequías será llevado a Babilonia; allí se quedará hasta que yo vuelva a ocuparme de él. Si ustedes combaten contra los babilonios, no vencerán”».

6 Jeremías respondió: «La palabra del Señor vino a mí 7 y me dijo: “Janamel, hijo de tu tío Salún, vendrá a pedirte que le compres el campo que está en Anatot, pues tienes el derecho y la responsabilidad de rescatarlo por ser el pariente más cercano”.[b]

8 »En efecto, conforme a la palabra del Señor, mi primo Janamel vino a verme en el patio de la guardia y me dijo: “Compra ahora mi campo que está en Anatot, en el territorio de Benjamín, ya que tú tienes el derecho y la responsabilidad de rescatarlo por ser el pariente más cercano”.

»Entonces comprendí que esto era palabra del Señor, 9 y compré a mi primo Janamel el campo de Anatot; pesé y pagué diecisiete siclos[c] de plata. 10 Reuní a los testigos, firmé la escritura, la sellé y pesé la plata en la balanza. 11 Luego tomé la copia sellada y la copia abierta de la escritura con las condiciones de compra 12 y se las entregué a Baruc, hijo de Nerías y nieto de Maseías, en presencia de mi primo Janamel, de los testigos que habían firmado la escritura y de todos los judíos que estaban sentados en el patio de la guardia.

13 »Con ellos como testigos, ordené a Baruc: 14 “Así dice el Señor de los Ejércitos, el Dios de Israel: ‘Toma la copia sellada y la copia abierta de esta escritura y guárdalas en una vasija de barro para que se conserven mucho tiempo’. 15 Porque así dice el Señor de los Ejércitos, el Dios de Israel: ‘De nuevo volverán a comprarse casas, campos y viñedos en esta tierra’ ”.

16 »Después de entregarle la escritura a Baruc, hijo de Nerías, oré al Señor:

17 »¡Ah, mi Señor y Dios! Tú, con tu gran fuerza y tu brazo poderoso, has hecho los cielos y la tierra. Para ti no hay nada imposible. 18 Muestras tu gran amor a multitud de generaciones, pero también castigas la maldad de los padres en sus descendientes. ¡Oh Dios, grande y fuerte; tu nombre es el Señor de los Ejércitos! 19 Tus proyectos son grandiosos y magníficas tus obras. Tus ojos observan todo lo que hace la humanidad para dar a cada uno lo que merece, según su conducta y los frutos de sus acciones. 20 Tú hiciste señales milagrosas y prodigios en la tierra de Egipto y hasta el día de hoy los sigues haciendo, tanto en Israel como en todo el mundo; así te has conquistado la fama que hoy tienes. 21 Tú sacaste de Egipto a tu pueblo con gran despliegue de poder, señales milagrosas, prodigios y gran terror. 22 Diste a Israel esta tierra, donde abundan la leche y la miel, tal como se lo habías jurado a sus antepasados. 23 Pero, cuando entraron y tomaron posesión de ella no te obedecieron ni acataron tu Ley; tampoco hicieron lo que habías ordenado. Por eso les enviaste toda esta desgracia.

24 »Ahora las rampas de ataque han llegado hasta la ciudad para conquistarla. A causa de la espada, el hambre y la pestilencia, la ciudad caerá en manos de los babilonios que la atacan. Todo lo que habías anunciado se está cumpliendo; tú mismo lo estás viendo. 25 Mi Señor y Dios, a pesar de que la ciudad caerá en manos de los babilonios, tú me has dicho: “Cómprate el campo al contado en presencia de testigos”».

26 Entonces vino la palabra del Señor a Jeremías: 27 «Yo soy el Señor, Dios de toda la humanidad. ¿Hay algo imposible para mí? 28 Por eso, así dice el Señor: Voy a entregar esta ciudad en manos de los babilonios y de Nabucodonosor, su rey, y él la tomará. 29 Los babilonios que ataquen esta ciudad entrarán en ella y le prenderán fuego, así como a las casas en cuyas azoteas se quemaba incienso a Baal y donde para provocar mi ira se derramaban ofrendas líquidas a otros dioses.

30 »Porque desde su juventud el pueblo de Israel y el de Judá solamente han hecho lo malo ante mí. El pueblo de Israel no ha dejado de provocar mi ira con la obra de sus manos, afirma el Señor. 31 Desde el día en que construyeron esta ciudad hasta hoy, ella ha sido para mí motivo de ira y de furor. Por eso la quitaré de mi presencia, 32 por todo el mal que han cometido los pueblos de Israel y de Judá: ellos, sus reyes, sus oficiales, sus sacerdotes y sus profetas, todos los habitantes de Judá y de Jerusalén. 33 Ellos no me miraron de frente, sino que me dieron la espalda. Y aunque una y otra vez les enseñaba, no escuchaban ni aceptaban corrección. 34 Colocaban sus ídolos abominables en la casa que lleva mi Nombre y así la profanaban. 35 También construían altares a Baal en el valle de Ben Hinón para sacrificar a sus hijos e hijas a Moloc, cosa detestable que yo no había ordenado y que ni siquiera se me había ocurrido. De este modo hacían pecar a Judá.

36 »Por tanto, así dice el Señor, Dios de Israel, acerca de esta ciudad que, según ustedes, caerá en manos del rey de Babilonia por la espada, el hambre y la pestilencia: 37 Voy a reunirlos de todos los países adonde en mi ira, furor y terrible enojo los dispersé, y los haré volver a este lugar para que vivan seguros. 38 Ellos serán mi pueblo y yo seré su Dios. 39 Yo les daré un solo corazón y un solo camino, a fin de que siempre me teman, para su propio bien y el de sus hijos. 40 Haré con ellos un pacto eterno: nunca dejaré de estar con ellos para mostrarles mi favor; pondré mi temor en sus corazones, así no se apartarán de mí. 41 Me regocijaré en favorecerlos y con todo mi corazón y con toda mi alma los plantaré firmemente en esta tierra.

42 »Así dice el Señor: Tal como traje esta gran calamidad sobre este pueblo, yo mismo voy a traer sobre ellos todo el bien que he prometido. 43 Se comprarán campos en esta tierra, de la cual ustedes dicen: “Es una tierra desolada, sin gente ni animales, porque fue entregada en manos de los babilonios”. 44 En la tierra de Benjamín y en los alrededores de Jerusalén, en las ciudades de Judá, de la región montañosa, de la llanura y del Néguev, se comprarán campos por dinero, se firmarán escrituras y se sellarán ante testigos —afirma el Señor—, porque yo los haré volver del cautiverio».

32 The word that came to Jeremiah from the Lord in the (A)tenth year of Zedekiah king of Judah, which was the eighteenth year of Nebuchadnezzar. 2 Now at that time the army of the king of Babylon was besieging Jerusalem, and Jeremiah the prophet was imprisoned in the (B)courtyard of the guard, which was at the house of the king of Judah, 3 because Zedekiah king of Judah had (C)imprisoned him, saying, “Why do you (D)prophesy, saying, ‘(E)This is what the Lord says: “Behold, I am going to (F)hand this city over to the king of Babylon, and he will take it; 4 and Zedekiah king of Judah will (G)not escape from the hand of the Chaldeans, but he will certainly be handed over to the king of Babylon, and he will (H)speak with him [a]face to face and see him eye to eye. 5 Then he will (I)take Zedekiah to Babylon, and he will be there until I visit him,” declares the Lord. “If you fight against the Chaldeans, you will (J)not succeed”’?”

6 And Jeremiah said, “The word of the Lord came to me, saying, 7 ‘Behold, Hanamel the son of Shallum your uncle is coming to you, saying, “Buy for yourself my field which is at (K)Anathoth, for you have the (L)right of redemption to buy it.”’ 8 Then my uncle’s son Hanamel came to me in the (M)courtyard of the guard in accordance with the word of the Lord and said to me, ‘Buy my field, please, that is at (N)Anathoth, which is in the land of Benjamin; for you have the right of possession and the redemption is yours; buy it for yourself.’ Then I knew that this was the (O)word of the Lord.

9 “So I bought the field which was in Anathoth from Hanamel my uncle’s son, and I (P)weighed out the silver for him, seventeen (Q)shekels of silver. 10 And I [b](R)signed and (S)sealed the deed, and (T)called in witnesses, and weighed out the silver on the scales. 11 Then I took the deeds of purchase, both the sealed copy containing the (U)terms and conditions and the open copy; 12 and I gave the deed of purchase to (V)Baruch the son of (W)Neriah, the son of Mahseiah, in the sight of Hanamel my uncle’s son and in the sight of the witnesses who signed the deed of purchase, in the sight of all the Jews who were sitting in the courtyard of the guard. 13 And I commanded Baruch in their sight, saying, 14 ‘This is what the Lord of armies, the God of Israel says: “Take these deeds, this sealed deed of purchase and this open deed, and put them in an earthenware jar, so that they may [c]last a long time.” 15 For this is what the Lord of armies, the God of Israel says: “(X)Houses and fields and vineyards will again be purchased in this land.”’

Jeremiah Prays and God Explains

16 “After giving the deed of purchase to Baruch the son of Neriah, I (Y)prayed to the Lord, saying, 17 ‘(Z)Oh, Lord [d]God! Behold, You Yourself have (AA)made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and by Your outstretched arm! (AB)Nothing is too difficult for You, 18 who (AC)shows mercy to thousands, but (AD)repays the wrongdoing of fathers into the laps of their children after them, (AE)great and (AF)mighty God. The (AG)Lord of armies is His name; 19 (AH)great in counsel and mighty in deed, whose (AI)eyes are open to all the ways of the sons of mankind, (AJ)giving to everyone according to his ways and according to the fruit of his deeds; 20 who has (AK)accomplished signs and wonders in the land of Egypt, and even to this day both in Israel and among mankind; and You have (AL)made a name for Yourself, as at this day. 21 You (AM)brought Your people Israel out of the land of Egypt with signs and with wonders, and with a strong hand and an outstretched arm, and with great terror; 22 and You gave them this land, which You (AN)swore to their forefathers to give them, a land flowing with milk and honey. 23 They (AO)came in and took possession of it, but they (AP)did not obey Your voice or (AQ)walk in Your Law; they did not do [e]anything that You commanded them to do; therefore You have made (AR)all this disaster happen to them. 24 Behold, the (AS)assault ramps have reached the city to take it; and the city has been (AT)handed over to the Chaldeans who fight against it, because of the (AU)sword, the famine, and the plague; and what You have spoken has (AV)come to pass; and behold, You see it. 25 Yet You have said to me, Lord [f]God, “Buy for yourself the field with money and call in witnesses”—although the city has been handed over to the Chaldeans.’”

26 Then the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah, saying, 27 “Behold, I am the Lord, the (AW)God of all flesh; is anything (AX)too difficult for Me?” 28 Therefore this is what the Lord says: “Behold, I am going to (AY)hand this city over to the Chaldeans and to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and he will take it. 29 And the Chaldeans who are fighting against this city will enter and (AZ)set this city on fire and burn it, with the (BA)houses where people have offered incense to Baal on their roofs and poured out drink offerings to other gods, to provoke Me to anger. 30 For the sons of Israel and the sons of Judah have been doing only (BB)evil in My sight since their youth; for the sons of Israel have been only (BC)provoking Me to anger by the work of their hands,” declares the Lord. 31 “Indeed this city has been to Me a (BD)provocation of My anger and My wrath since the day that they built it, even to this day, so that it should be (BE)removed from My sight, 32 because of all the evil of the sons of Israel and the sons of Judah which they have done to provoke Me to anger—they, their (BF)kings, their leaders, their priests, their prophets, the men of Judah, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem. 33 They have turned their back to Me and not their face; though I taught them, (BG)teaching again and again, they would not listen to accept discipline. 34 But they (BH)put their detestable things in the house which is called by My name, to defile it. 35 They built the (BI)high places of Baal that are in the Valley of Ben-hinnom to make their sons and their daughters pass through the fire to (BJ)Molech, which I had not commanded them, nor had it [g]entered My mind that they should do this abomination, to mislead Judah to sin.

36 “Now therefore the Lord God of Israel says the following concerning this city of which you say, ‘It has been (BK)handed over to the king of Babylon by sword, by famine, and by plague’: 37 Behold, I am going to (BL)gather them out of all the lands to which I have driven them in My anger, in My wrath, and in great indignation; and I will bring them back to this place and (BM)have them live in safety. 38 They shall be (BN)My people, and I will be their God; 39 and I will (BO)give them one heart and one way, so that they will fear Me always, for their own (BP)good and for the good of their children after them. 40 I will make an (BQ)everlasting covenant with them that I will (BR)not turn away from them, to do them good; and I will (BS)put the fear of Me in their hearts, so that they will not turn away from Me. 41 I will (BT)rejoice over them to do them good and will [h]faithfully (BU)plant them in this land with (BV)all My heart and all My soul. 42 For this is what the Lord says: ‘(BW)Just as I brought all this great disaster on this people, so I am going to (BX)bring on them all the good that I am promising them. 43 And (BY)fields will be purchased in this land of which you say, “(BZ)It is a desolation, without man or animal; it has been handed over to the Chaldeans.” 44 People will buy fields for money, [i](CA)sign and seal [j]deeds, and call in witnesses in the (CB)land of Benjamin, in the areas surrounding Jerusalem, in the cities of Judah, in the cities of the hill country, in the cities of the lowland, and in the cities of the [k]Negev; for I will (CC)restore their fortunes,’ declares the Lord.”
