2 (A)За себе си аз реших да не ви наскърбявам, когато дойда отново при вас. 2 Защото, ако аз ви наскърбявам, тогава кой ще ме радва? Нима този, когото аз наскърбявам? 3 Затова ви и написах всичко това, за да не стане така, че когато дойда, да бъда наскърбен от онези, които би трябвало да ме радват. Убеден съм за всички вас, че моята радост е радост за всички ви. 4 Наистина ви писах от голяма мъка и с болка на сърце, както и с много сълзи, но не за да се наскърбите, а за да разберете колко голяма е любовта ми към вас.

Защото, ако и аз съм простил някому нещо, простил съм го заради вас пред Христос, 11 (C)за да не ни надвие Сатана, понеже знаем намеренията му.

12 (D)А когато дойдох в Троада, за да благовестя за Христос, и ми беше отворена врата за делото на Господа, 13 (E)духът ми не можа да се успокои, понеже не намерих Тит, моя брат. Затова се сбогувах с тях и заминах за Македония.
14 Нека благодарим на Бога, Който винаги ни дава успех чрез силата на Христос и навсякъде разнася чрез нас като ухание знанието за Него. 15 Защото ние сме Христово благоухание пред Бога – за тези, които се спасяват, и за онези, които погиват. 16 За едните това е смъртоносно ухание, което убива, а за другите – живително ухание, което дарява живот. 2 But I determined this with myself, that I would not come again to you in heaviness.
2 For if I make you sorry, who is he then that maketh me glad, but the same which is made sorry by me?
3 And I wrote this same unto you, lest, when I came, I should have sorrow from them of whom I ought to rejoice; having confidence in you all, that my joy is the joy of you all.
4 For out of much affliction and anguish of heart I wrote unto you with many tears; not that ye should be grieved, but that ye might know the love which I have more abundantly unto you.
5 But if any have caused grief, he hath not grieved me, but in part: that I may not overcharge you all.
6 Sufficient to such a man is this punishment, which was inflicted of many.
7 So that contrariwise ye ought rather to forgive him, and comfort him, lest perhaps such a one should be swallowed up with overmuch sorrow.
8 Wherefore I beseech you that ye would confirm your love toward him.
9 For to this end also did I write, that I might know the proof of you, whether ye be obedient in all things.
10 To whom ye forgive any thing, I forgive also: for if I forgave any thing, to whom I forgave it, for your sakes forgave I it in the person of Christ;
11 Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.
12 Furthermore, when I came to Troas to preach Christ's gospel, and a door was opened unto me of the Lord,
13 I had no rest in my spirit, because I found not Titus my brother: but taking my leave of them, I went from thence into Macedonia.
14 Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.
15 For we are unto God a sweet savour of Christ, in them that are saved, and in them that perish:
16 To the one we are the savour of death unto death; and to the other the savour of life unto life. And who is sufficient for these things?
17 For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ.

Paul Urges Forgiveness
2 But I determined this within myself, (A)that I would not come again to you in sorrow. 2 For if I make you (B)sorrowful, then who is he who makes me glad but the one who is made sorrowful by me?
Forgive the Offender
3 And I wrote this very thing to you, lest, when I came, (C)I should have sorrow over those from whom I ought to have joy, (D)having confidence in you all that my joy is the joy of you all. 4 For out of much [a]affliction and anguish of heart I wrote to you, with many tears, (E)not that you should be grieved, but that you might know the love which I have so abundantly for you.
5 But (F)if anyone has caused grief, he has not (G)grieved me, but all of you to some extent—not to be too severe. 6 This punishment which was inflicted (H)by the majority is sufficient for such a man, 7 (I)so that, on the contrary, you ought rather to forgive and comfort him, lest perhaps such a one be swallowed up with too much sorrow. 8 Therefore I urge you to reaffirm your love to him. 9 For to this end I also wrote, that I might put you to the test, whether you are (J)obedient in all things. 10 Now whom you forgive anything, I also forgive. For [b]if indeed I have forgiven anything, I have forgiven that one for your sakes in the presence of Christ, 11 lest Satan should take advantage of us; for we are not ignorant of his devices.
Triumph in Christ
12 Furthermore, (K)when I came to Troas to preach Christ’s gospel, and (L)a [c]door was opened to me by the Lord, 13 (M)I had no rest in my spirit, because I did not find Titus my brother; but taking my leave of them, I departed for Macedonia.
14 Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us [d]diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place. 15 For we are to God the fragrance of Christ (N)among those who are being saved and (O)among those who are perishing. 16 (P)To the one we are the aroma of death leading to death, and to the other the aroma of life leading to life. And (Q)who is sufficient for these things? 17 For we are not, as [e]so many, (R)peddling[f] the word of God; but as (S)of sincerity, but as from God, we speak in the sight of God in Christ.

爱之深责之切
2 我已经决定了，下次到你们那里时不再使大家忧伤。 2 如果我使你们忧伤，那么除了因我而忧伤的你们，还有谁能使我喜乐呢？ 3 我曾为这事写信给你们，免得我到你们那里时，那些本该使我喜乐的人反而使我忧伤。我也深信你们会以我的喜乐为你们的喜乐。 4 我万分难过、泪流满面地给你们写了前一封信，并非要使你们忧伤，而是要你们明白我是多么疼爱你们。
要饶恕犯罪的人
5 那个令人痛心的人与其说使我忧伤，倒不如说使你们大家都有几分忧伤。我只说几分忧伤，是怕说得太重，他受不了。 6 这样的人受了众人的谴责也就够了。 7 你们现在要饶恕他、安慰他，免得他忧伤过度而一蹶不振。 8 我劝你们要让他确实知道你们仍然爱他。 9 为此，我也曾写信给你们，想知道你们是否凡事顺服。 10 你们饶恕谁，我也饶恕谁。我若饶恕，是为了你们的缘故在基督面前饶恕的， 11 免得撒旦乘虚而入，因为我们并非不知道它的诡计。
基督的香气
12 我前往特罗亚传扬基督的福音时，主为我打开了传福音的大门。 13 那时，因为没有找到提多弟兄，我心里不安，便辞别众人来到马其顿。
14 感谢上帝，祂常常在基督里率领我们走在凯旋的行列中，又借着我们到处散发那因认识基督而有的香气。 15 不论是在得救的人当中还是在灭亡的人当中，对上帝来说，我们都是基督的馨香之气。 16 对灭亡的人而言，这香气是叫人死亡的香气；对得救的人来说，这香气却是叫人得生命的香气。谁能担当这样的重任呢？ 17 我们并不像许多人为了谋利而出卖上帝的道。我们是上帝差遣的，在上帝面前靠着基督诚诚实实地讲道。
