32 Внимай, небо, я буду говорить; и слушай, земля, слова уст моих.
2 Польется как дождь учение мое, как роса речь моя, как мелкий дождь на зелень, как ливень на траву.
3 Имя Господа прославляю; воздайте славу Богу нашему.
4 Он твердыня; совершенны дела Его, и все пути Его праведны; Бог верен, и нет неправды [в Нем]; Он праведен и истинен;
5 но они развратились пред Ним, они не дети Его по своим порокам, род строптивый и развращенный.
6 Сие ли воздаете вы Господу, народ глупый и несмысленный? не Он ли Отец твой, [Который] усвоил тебя, создал тебя и устроил тебя?
7 Вспомни дни древние, помысли о летах прежних родов; спроси отца твоего, и он возвестит тебе, старцев твоих, и они скажут тебе.
8 Когда Всевышний давал уделы народам и расселял сынов человеческих, тогда поставил пределы народов по числу сынов Израилевых;
9 ибо часть Господа народ Его, Иаков наследственный удел Его.
10 Он нашел его в пустыне, в степи печальной и дикой, ограждал его, смотрел за ним, хранил его, как зеницу ока Своего;
11 как орел вызывает гнездо свое, носится над птенцами своими, распростирает крылья свои, берет их и носит их на перьях своих,
12 так Господь один водил его, и не было с Ним чужого бога.
13 Он вознес его на высоту земли и кормил произведениями полей, и питал его медом из камня и елеем из твердой скалы,
14 маслом коровьим и молоком овечьим, и туком агнцев и овнов Васанских и козлов, и тучною пшеницею, и ты пил вино, кровь виноградных ягод.
15 И утучнел Израиль, и стал упрям; утучнел, отолстел и разжирел; и оставил он Бога, создавшего его, и презрел твердыню спасения своего.
16 [Богами] чуждыми они раздражили Его и мерзостями разгневали Его:
17 приносили жертвы бесам, а не Богу, богам, которых они не знали, новым, [которые] пришли от соседей и о которых не помышляли отцы ваши.
18 А Заступника, родившего тебя, ты забыл, и не помнил Бога, создавшего тебя.
19 Господь увидел, и в негодовании пренебрег сынов Своих и дочерей Своих,
20 и сказал: сокрою лице Мое от них [и] увижу, какой будет конец их; ибо они род развращенный; дети, в которых нет верности;
21 они раздражили Меня не богом, суетными своими огорчили Меня: и Я раздражу их не народом, народом бессмысленным огорчу их;
22 ибо огонь возгорелся во гневе Моем, жжет до ада преисподнего, и поядает землю и произведения ее, и попаляет основания гор;
23 соберу на них бедствия и истощу на них стрелы Мои:
24 [будут] истощены голодом, истреблены горячкою и лютою заразою; и пошлю на них зубы зверей и яд ползающих по земле;
25 извне будет губить их меч, а в домах ужас--и юношу, и девицу, и грудного младенца, и покрытого сединою старца.
26 Я сказал бы: рассею их и изглажу из среды людей память о них;
27 но отложил это ради озлобления врагов, чтобы враги его не возомнили и не сказали: наша рука высока, и не Господь сделал все сие.
28 Ибо они народ, потерявший рассудок, и нет в них смысла.
29 О, если бы они рассудили, подумали о сем, уразумели, что с ними будет!
30 Как бы мог один преследовать тысячу и двое прогонять тьму, если бы Заступник их не предал их, и Господь не отдал их!
31 Ибо заступник их не таков, как наш Заступник; сами враги наши судьи в том.
32 Ибо виноград их от виноградной лозы Содомской и с полей Гоморрских; ягоды их ягоды ядовитые, грозды их горькие;
33 вино их яд драконов и гибельная отрава аспидов.
34 Не сокрыто ли это у Меня? не запечатано ли в хранилищах Моих?
35 У Меня отмщение и воздаяние, когда поколеблется нога их; ибо близок день погибели их, скоро наступит уготованное для них.
36 Но Господь будет судить народ Свой и над рабами Своими умилосердится, когда Он увидит, что рука их ослабела, и не стало ни заключенных, ни оставшихся [вне].
37 Тогда скажет [Господь]: где боги их, твердыня, на которую они надеялись,
38 которые ели тук жертв их [и] пили вино возлияний их? пусть они восстанут и помогут вам, пусть будут для вас покровом!
39 Видите ныне, что это Я, Я--и нет Бога, кроме Меня: Я умерщвляю и оживляю, Я поражаю и Я исцеляю, и никто не избавит от руки Моей.
40 Я подъемлю к небесам руку Мою и говорю: живу Я во век!
41 Когда изострю сверкающий меч Мой, и рука Моя приимет суд, то отмщу врагам Моим и ненавидящим Меня воздам;
42 упою стрелы Мои кровью, и меч Мой насытится плотью, кровью убитых и пленных, головами начальников врага.
43 Веселитесь, язычники, с народом Его; ибо Он отмстит за кровь рабов Своих, и воздаст мщение врагам Своим, и очистит землю Свою [и] народ Свой!
44 И пришел Моисей [к народу] и изрек все слова песни сей вслух народа, он и Иисус, сын Навин.
45 Когда Моисей изрек все слова сии всему Израилю,
46 тогда сказал им: положите на сердце ваше все слова, которые я объявил вам сегодня, и завещевайте их детям своим, чтобы они старались исполнять все слова закона сего;
47 ибо это не пустое для вас, но это жизнь ваша, и чрез это вы долгое время пробудете на той земле, в которую вы идете чрез Иордан, чтоб овладеть ею.
48 И говорил Господь Моисею в тот же самый день и сказал:
49 взойди на сию гору Аварим, на гору Нево, которая в земле Моавитской, против Иерихона, и посмотри на землю Ханаанскую, которую я даю во владение сынам Израилевым;
50 и умри на горе, на которую ты взойдешь, и приложись к народу твоему, как умер Аарон, брат твой, на горе Ор, и приложился к народу своему,
51 за то, что вы согрешили против Меня среди сынов Израилевых при водах Меривы в Кадесе, в пустыне Син, за то, что не явили святости Моей среди сынов Израилевых;
52 пред [собою] ты увидишь землю, а не войдешь туда, в землю, которую Я даю сынам Израилевым.

народ безрассудный и глупый?
Разве Он не Отец, не Творец твой,
Тот, Кто создал, основал тебя?
7 Вспомни древние дни;
подумай об ушедших поколениях.
Спроси своего отца, и он скажет тебе,
своих старейшин, и они объяснят тебе.

растолстел, обрюзг, разжирел.
Он оставил Бога, Который создал его,
и отверг Скалу своего спасения.
16 Они возбудили в Нем ревность чужими богами
и разгневали Его мерзкими идолами.
17 Они приносили жертвы демонам, а не Богу, –
богам, которых не знали,
богам, появившимся недавно,
богам, которых ваши отцы не боялись.
18 Ты покинул Скалу, родившую тебя;
ты забыл Бога, создавшего тебя.
19 Господь увидел это и отверг их,
так как разгневался на Своих сыновей и дочерей.
20 „Я скрою от них Свое лицо, – сказал Он, –
и увижу, каков будет их конец;
потому что они – извращенный род,
неверные дети.
21 Они пробудили во Мне ревность всем тем, что не Бог,
и разгневали Меня ничтожными идолами.
Я пробужу в них ревность через тех,
кого и народом-то не назвать;
Я разгневаю их глупым народом.
22 Потому что от Моего гнева запылал огонь,
что жжет до дна мира мертвых.
Он пожрет землю и ее урожаи
и подожжет основания гор.
23 Я соберу на них беды,
выпущу в них Свои стрелы.
24 Я пошлю на них опустошительный голод,
истребляющий мор и смертельную заразу;
Я пошлю на них хищных зверей,
ядовитых змей, что ползают в прахе.
25 На улицах меч лишит их детей,
в их домах будет царить ужас.
Будут гибнуть юноши и девушки,
младенцы и седовласые старики.
26 Я сказал бы: рассею их
и изглажу их память из человеческого рода,
27 если бы не опасался насмешек врагов,
чтобы противники не возомнили о себе
и не сказали: «Нашей руки торжество;
не Господь совершил все это»“.
28 Это народ, потерявший рассудок,
нет у них разума.
29 О если бы они были мудры,
понимали бы это
и уразумели, какой их ждет конец!
30 Как мог бы один человек преследовать тысячу
или двое обратить в бегство десять тысяч,
если бы их Скала не отступилась от них,
если бы Господь их не выдал?
31 Ведь их скала не такова, как наша Скала:
сами наши враги – судьи в том[h].
32 Их виноград с лозы Содома
и с полей Гоморры.
Их плоды полны яда,
а их гроздья – горечи.
33 Их вино – яд змей,
смертельный яд кобр.
34 „Не сокрыто ли это у Меня?
Не запечатано ли в Моих кладовых?
35 Предоставьте месть Мне, Я воздам.
Придет время, поскользнутся ноги врага;
день их бедствия близок
и участь их поспешает“.
36 Господь будет судить Свой народ
и пожалеет Своих слуг,
когда увидит, что исчезла их сила
и не осталось никого – ни раба, ни свободного.
37 И скажет Он: „Где же их боги,
та скала, за которой они укрывались?
38 Боги, которые ели жир их жертв,
пили вино их жертвенных возлияний?
Пусть восстанут, чтобы помочь вам!
Пусть дадут вам покров!
39 Смотрите же ныне, что только Я Бог[i],
и нет Бога, кроме Меня.
Я умерщвляю и оживляю,
Я ранил и Я исцелю,
и никто не может избавить от Моей руки.
40 Я поднимаю руку к небу и объявляю:
Верно, как и то, что Я живу вовеки, –
41 когда отточу Свой сияющий меч
и рука Моя примет его для суда,
Я отомщу Своим противникам
и воздам тем, кто Меня ненавидит.
42 Я напою Свои стрелы кровью,
а Мой меч будет пожирать плоть,
кровь павших и пленных,
головы вражеских вождей“.
43 Радуйтесь, язычники, вместе с Его народом[j],
потому что Он отомстит за кровь Своих слуг;
отомстит Он Своим врагам,
очистит Свою землю и Свой народ».
44 Моисей пришел с Иисусом[k], сыном Навиным, и произнес народу все слова этой песни. 45 Сказав эти слова всему Израилю, Моисей 46 добавил:
– Примите к сердцу все слова, которые я торжественно возвестил вам сегодня, чтобы вы велели своим детям прилежно слушаться всех слов этого Закона. 47 Для вас это не пустые слова: в них – ваша жизнь. Они дадут вам долго жить на земле, в которую вы переходите за Иордан, чтобы овладеть ею.
48 В тот же день Господь сказал Моисею:
49 – Поднимись на горную цепь Аварим, на гору Нево в Моаве, напротив Иерихона, и осмотри Ханаан, землю, которую Я отдаю во владение израильтянам. 50 На этой горе, куда ты поднимешься, ты умрешь и присоединишься к своему народу так же, как твой брат Аарон умер на горе Ор и присоединился к своему народу. 51 Это случится из-за того, что вы оба изменили Мне на виду у израильтян у вод Меривы в Кадеше, в пустыне Цин, и из-за того, что вы не отстаивали Мою святость среди израильтян[l]. 52 Поэтому ты увидишь ее только на расстоянии – ты не войдешь в землю, которую Я даю народу Израиля.

32 “Give (A)ear, O heavens, and I will speak;
And hear, O (B)earth, the words of my mouth.
2 Let (C)my [a]teaching drop as the rain,
My speech distill as the dew,
(D)As raindrops on the tender herb,
And as showers on the grass.
3 For I proclaim the (E)name of the Lord:
(F)Ascribe greatness to our God.
4 He is (G)the Rock, (H)His work is perfect;
For all His ways are justice,
(I)A God of truth and (J)without injustice;
Righteous and upright is He.
5 “They(K) have corrupted themselves;
They are not His children,
Because of their blemish:
A (L)perverse and crooked generation.
6 Do you thus (M)deal[b] with the Lord,
O foolish and unwise people?
Is He not (N)your Father, who (O)bought you?
Has He not (P)made you and established you?
7 “Remember(Q) the days of old,
Consider the years of many generations.

Because of the provocation of His sons and His daughters.
20 And He said: ‘I will hide My face from them,

They have moved Me to anger (AM)by their [f]foolish idols.
But (AN)I will provoke them to jealousy by those who are not a nation;
I will move them to anger by a foolish nation.
22 For (AO)a fire is kindled in My anger,
And shall burn to the [g]lowest [h]hell;
It shall consume the earth with her increase,
And set on fire the foundations of the mountains.
23 ‘I will (AP)heap disasters on them;
(AQ)I will spend My arrows on them.
24 They shall be wasted with hunger,
Devoured by pestilence and bitter destruction;
I will also send against them the (AR)teeth of beasts,
With the poison of serpents of the dust.
25 The sword shall destroy outside;
There shall be terror within
For the young man and virgin,
The nursing child with the man of gray hairs.
26 (AS)I would have said, “I will dash them in pieces,
I will make the memory of them to cease from among men,”
27 Had I not feared the wrath of the enemy,
Lest their adversaries should misunderstand,
Lest they should say, (AT)“Our hand is high;
And it is not the Lord who has done all this.” ’
28 “For they are a nation void of counsel,
Nor is there any understanding in them.
29 (AU)Oh, that they were wise, that they understood this,
That they would consider their (AV)latter end!
30 How could one chase a thousand,
And two put ten thousand to flight,
Unless their Rock (AW)had sold them,
And the Lord had surrendered them?
31 For their rock is not like our Rock,
(AX)Even our enemies themselves being judges.
32 For (AY)their vine is of the vine of Sodom
And of the fields of Gomorrah;
Their grapes are grapes of gall,
Their clusters are bitter.
33 Their wine is (AZ)the poison of serpents,
And the cruel (BA)venom of cobras.
34 ‘Is this not (BB)laid up in store with Me,
Sealed up among My treasures?
35 (BC)Vengeance is Mine, and recompense;
Their foot shall slip in due time;
(BD)For the day of their calamity is at hand,
And the things to come hasten upon them.’
36 “For(BE) the Lord will judge His people
(BF)And have compassion on His servants,
When He sees that their power is gone,
And (BG)there is no one remaining, bond or free.
37 He will say: (BH)‘Where are their gods,
The rock in which they sought refuge?
38 Who ate the fat of their sacrifices,
And drank the wine of their drink offering?
Let them rise and help you,
And be your refuge.
39 ‘Now see that (BI)I, even I, am He,
And (BJ)there is no God besides Me;
(BK)I kill and I make alive;
I wound and I heal;
Nor is there any who can deliver from My hand.
40 For I raise My hand to heaven,
And say, “As I live forever,
41 (BL)If I [i]whet My glittering sword,
And My hand takes hold on judgment,
I will render vengeance to My enemies,
And repay those who hate Me.
42 I will make My arrows drunk with blood,
And My sword shall devour flesh,
With the blood of the slain and the captives,
From the heads of the leaders of the enemy.” ’
43 “Rejoice,(BM) O Gentiles, with His [j]people;
For He will (BN)avenge the blood of His servants,
And render vengeance to His adversaries;
He (BO)will provide atonement for His land and His people.”
44 So Moses came with [k]Joshua the son of Nun and spoke all the words of this song in the hearing of the people. 45 Moses finished speaking all these words to all Israel, 46 and he said to them: (BP)“Set your hearts on all the words which I testify among you today, which you shall command your (BQ)children to be careful to observe—all the words of this law. 47 For it is not a [l]futile thing for you, because it is your (BR)life, and by this word you shall prolong your days in the land which you cross over the Jordan to possess.”

48 Then the Lord spoke to Moses that very same day, saying: 49 (BS)“Go up this mountain of the Abarim, Mount Nebo, which is in the land of Moab, across from Jericho; view the land of Canaan, which I give to the children of Israel as a possession; 50 and die on the mountain which you ascend, and be [m]gathered to your people, just as (BT)Aaron your brother died on Mount Hor and was gathered to his people; 51 because (BU)you trespassed against Me among the children of Israel at the waters of [n]Meribah Kadesh, in the Wilderness of Zin, because you (BV)did not hallow Me in the midst of the children of Israel. 52 (BW)Yet you shall see the land before you, though you shall not go there, into the land which I am giving to the children of Israel.”

and my words descend like dew,(E)

like abundant rain on tender plants.
3 I will proclaim(G) the name of the Lord.(H)
Oh, praise the greatness(I) of our God!
4 He is the Rock,(J) his works are perfect,(K)
and all his ways are just.
A faithful God(L) who does no wrong,
upright(M) and just is he.(N)
5 They are corrupt and not his children;
to their shame they are a warped and crooked generation.(O)
6 Is this the way you repay(P) the Lord,
you foolish(Q) and unwise people?(R)
Is he not your Father,(S) your Creator,[a]

20 “I will hide my face(BF) from them,” he said,
“and see what their end will be;
for they are a perverse generation,(BG)
children who are unfaithful.(BH)
21 They made me jealous(BI) by what is no god
and angered me with their worthless idols.(BJ)
I will make them envious by those who are not a people;
I will make them angry by a nation that has no understanding.(BK)
22 For a fire will be kindled by my wrath,(BL)
one that burns down to the realm of the dead below.(BM)
It will devour(BN) the earth and its harvests(BO)
and set afire the foundations of the mountains.(BP)
23 “I will heap calamities(BQ) on them
and spend my arrows(BR) against them.
24 I will send wasting famine(BS) against them,
consuming pestilence(BT) and deadly plague;(BU)
I will send against them the fangs of wild beasts,(BV)
the venom of vipers(BW) that glide in the dust.(BX)
25 In the street the sword will make them childless;
in their homes terror(BY) will reign.(BZ)
The young men and young women will perish,
the infants and those with gray hair.(CA)
26 I said I would scatter(CB) them
and erase their name from human memory,(CC)
27 but I dreaded the taunt of the enemy,
lest the adversary misunderstand(CD)
and say, ‘Our hand has triumphed;
the Lord has not done all this.’”(CE)
28 They are a nation without sense,
there is no discernment(CF) in them.
29 If only they were wise and would understand this(CG)
and discern what their end will be!(CH)
30 How could one man chase a thousand,
or two put ten thousand to flight,(CI)
unless their Rock had sold them,(CJ)
unless the Lord had given them up?(CK)
31 For their rock is not like our Rock,(CL)
as even our enemies concede.(CM)
32 Their vine comes from the vine of Sodom(CN)
and from the fields of Gomorrah.
Their grapes are filled with poison,(CO)
and their clusters with bitterness.(CP)
33 Their wine is the venom of serpents,
the deadly poison of cobras.(CQ)
34 “Have I not kept this in reserve
and sealed it in my vaults?(CR)
35 It is mine to avenge;(CS) I will repay.(CT)
In due time their foot will slip;(CU)
their day of disaster is near
and their doom rushes upon them.(CV)”
36 The Lord will vindicate his people(CW)
and relent(CX) concerning his servants(CY)
when he sees their strength is gone
and no one is left, slave(CZ) or free.[d]
37 He will say: “Now where are their gods,
the rock they took refuge in,(DA)
38 the gods who ate the fat of their sacrifices
and drank the wine of their drink offerings?(DB)
Let them rise up to help you!
Let them give you shelter!
39 “See now that I myself am he!(DC)
There is no god besides me.(DD)
I put to death(DE) and I bring to life,(DF)
I have wounded and I will heal,(DG)
and no one can deliver out of my hand.(DH)
40 I lift my hand(DI) to heaven and solemnly swear:
As surely as I live forever,(DJ)
41 when I sharpen my flashing sword(DK)
and my hand grasps it in judgment,
I will take vengeance(DL) on my adversaries
and repay those who hate me.(DM)
42 I will make my arrows drunk with blood,(DN)
while my sword devours flesh:(DO)
the blood of the slain and the captives,
the heads of the enemy leaders.”
43 Rejoice,(DP) you nations, with his people,[e][f]
for he will avenge the blood of his servants;(DQ)
he will take vengeance on his enemies(DR)
and make atonement for his land and people.(DS)
44 Moses came with Joshua[g](DT) son of Nun and spoke all the words of this song in the hearing of the people. 45 When Moses finished reciting all these words to all Israel, 46 he said to them, “Take to heart all the words I have solemnly declared to you this day,(DU) so that you may command(DV) your children to obey carefully all the words of this law. 47 They are not just idle words for you—they are your life.(DW) By them you will live long(DX) in the land you are crossing the Jordan to possess.”
Moses to Die on Mount Nebo
48 On that same day the Lord told Moses,(DY) 49 “Go up into the Abarim(DZ) Range to Mount Nebo(EA) in Moab, across from Jericho,(EB) and view Canaan,(EC) the land I am giving the Israelites as their own possession. 50 There on the mountain that you have climbed you will die(ED) and be gathered to your people, just as your brother Aaron died(EE) on Mount Hor(EF) and was gathered to his people. 51 This is because both of you broke faith with me in the presence of the Israelites at the waters of Meribah Kadesh(EG) in the Desert of Zin(EH) and because you did not uphold my holiness among the Israelites.(EI) 52 Therefore, you will see the land only from a distance;(EJ) you will not enter(EK) the land I am giving to the people of Israel.”
