27 Тогава Моисей и Израилевите старейшини заповядаха на народа: Пазете всички заповеди, които днес ви даваме.
2 (A)И в деня, когато минете през Йордан към земята, която Господ, твоят Бог, ти дава, постави си големи камъни, измажи ги с вар
3 и запиши на тях всички думи на този закон, като преминеш Йордан, за да влезеш в земята, която Господ, твоят Бог, ти дава – земя, където текат мляко и мед, както ти е обещал Господ, Бог на бащите ти.
4 (B)Затова, като преминете Йордан, поставете на хълма Гевал тези камъни, за които днес ви заповядвам, и ги измажете с вар.
5 (C)И там да издигнеш жертвеник на Господа, твоя Бог, жертвеник от камъни. Желязно сечиво да не ги докосне;
6 да издигнеш жертвеника на Господа, твоя Бог, от цели камъни и да принесеш на него всеизгаряния на Господа, твоя Бог;
7 да принесеш и мирни жертви, да ядеш там и да се развеселиш пред Господа, твоя Бог.
8 А на камъните да напишеш много ясно всичките думи на този закон.
9 (D)Тогава Моисей и левитските свещеници казаха на целия Израил: Мълчи и слушай, Израилю, днес вие станахте народ на Господа, вашия Бог.
10 Затова слушай гласа на Господа, твоя Бог, и изпълнявай заповедите Му и наредбите Му, които днес ти давам.
11 И Моисей заръча на народа в същия ден:
12 (E)Когато преминете Йордан, ето кои да застанат на хълма Гаризин, за да благославят народа: Симеон, Левий, Юда, Исахар, Йосиф и Вениамин;
13 (F)и ето кои да застанат на хълма Гевал, за да го прокълнат: Рувим, Гад, Асир, Завулон, Дан и Нефталим.
14 Тогава левитите с висок глас да кажат на всички израилтяни:
15 (G)Проклет да е онзи, който направи изваян или излят кумир, мерзост пред Господа, дело на художнически ръце, и го постави на скрито място. И целият народ да отговори: Амин!
16 (H)Проклет, който се присмива на баща си или на майка си. И целият народ да каже: Амин!
17 (I)Проклет, който премести междите на ближния си. И целият народ да каже: Амин!
18 (J)Проклет, който отбие слепия от пътя. И целият народ да каже: Амин!
19 (K)Проклет, който опорочи съда на пришълеца, на сирачето и на вдовицата. И целият народ да каже: Амин!
20 (L)Проклет, който лежи с жената на баща си; защото осквернява леглото на баща си. И целият народ да каже: Амин!
21 (M)Проклет, който лежи с каквото и да е животно. И целият народ да каже: Амин!
22 (N)Проклет, който лежи със сестра си, дъщеря на баща си или дъщеря на майка си. И целият народ да каже: Амин!
23 (O)Проклет, който лежи с тъща си. И целият народ да каже: Амин!
24 (P)Проклет, който скришно удари ближния си. И целият народ да каже: Амин!
25 (Q)Проклет, който приеме подкуп, за да убие невинен човек. И целият народ да каже: Амин!

27 Тогава Мойсей и старейшините на Израил заповядаха на народа: „Следвайте всички заповеди, които днес ви даваме! 2 (A)В деня, когато преминеш отвъд Йордан в страната, която Господ, твоят Бог, ще ти даде, постави големи камъни, измажи ги с вар 3 и напиши на тях всички думи на този закон, когато преминеш отвъд, за да навлезеш в страната, която Господ, твоят Бог, ще ти даде – страна, където текат мляко и мед, както ти е обещал Господ, Бог на предците ти. 4 Затова когато преминете Йордан, поставете на планината Гевал тези камъни, за които ви заповядвам днес, и ги измажете с вар. 5 (B)Там издигни жертвеник на Господа, своя Бог, жертвеник от камъни, без сечива от желязо. 6 Жертвеника на Господа, своя Бог, издигни от цели камъни и принасяй върху него всеизгаряния на Господа, своя Бог. 7 И мирни жертви принасяй, и яж там, и се весели пред Господа, своя Бог. 8 А върху камъните ясно и грижливо напиши всички думи на този закон.“
9 Тогава Мойсей и свещениците левити се обърнаха към целия Израил: „Слушай внимателно, Израилю! Ти днес стана народ на Господа, своя Бог. 10 Затова слушай гласа на Господа, своя Бог, и изпълнявай Неговите заповеди и наредби, които днес ти заповядвам.“

27 Moses and the elders of Israel commanded the people, saying, “Keep all the commandment which I command you today. 2 It shall be on the day when you shall pass over the Jordan to the land which Yahweh your God gives you, that you shall set yourself up great stones, and coat them with plaster. 3 You shall write on them all the words of this law, when you have passed over, that you may go in to the land which Yahweh your God gives you, a land flowing with milk and honey, as Yahweh, the God of your fathers, has promised you. 4 It shall be, when you have crossed over the Jordan, that you shall set up these stones, which I command you today, on Mount Ebal, and you shall coat them with plaster. 5 There you shall build an altar to Yahweh your God, an altar of stones. You shall not use any iron tool on them. 6 You shall build Yahweh your God’s altar of uncut stones. You shall offer burnt offerings on it to Yahweh your God. 7 You shall sacrifice peace offerings, and shall eat there. You shall rejoice before Yahweh your God. 8 You shall write on the stones all the words of this law very plainly.”
9 Moses and the Levitical priests spoke to all Israel, saying, “Be silent and listen, Israel! Today you have become the people of Yahweh your God. 10 You shall therefore obey Yahweh your God’s voice, and do his commandments and his statutes, which I command you today.”
11 Moses commanded the people the same day, saying, 12 “These shall stand on Mount Gerizim to bless the people, when you have crossed over the Jordan: Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, Joseph, and Benjamin. 13 These shall stand on Mount Ebal for the curse: Reuben, Gad, Asher, Zebulun, Dan, and Naphtali. 14 With a loud voice, the Levites shall say to all the men of Israel, 15 ‘Cursed is the man who makes an engraved or molten image, an abomination to Yahweh, the work of the hands of the craftsman, and sets it up in secret.’
All the people shall answer and say, ‘Amen.’
16 ‘Cursed is he who dishonors his father or his mother.’
All the people shall say, ‘Amen.’
17 ‘Cursed is he who removes his neighbor’s landmark.’
All the people shall say, ‘Amen.’
18 ‘Cursed is he who leads the blind astray on the road.’
All the people shall say, ‘Amen.’
19 ‘Cursed is he who withholds justice from the foreigner, fatherless, and widow.’
All the people shall say, ‘Amen.’
20 ‘Cursed is he who lies with[a] his father’s wife, because he dishonors his father’s bed.’
All the people shall say, ‘Amen.’
21 ‘Cursed is he who lies with any kind of animal.’
All the people shall say, ‘Amen.’
22 ‘Cursed is he who lies with his sister, his father’s daughter or his mother’s daughter.’
All the people shall say, ‘Amen.’
23 ‘Cursed is he who lies with his mother-in-law.’
All the people shall say, ‘Amen.’
24 ‘Cursed is he who secretly kills his neighbor.’
All the people shall say, ‘Amen.’
25 ‘Cursed is he who takes a bribe to kill an innocent person.’
All the people shall say, ‘Amen.’
26 ‘Cursed is he who doesn’t uphold the words of this law by doing them.’
All the people shall say, ‘Amen.’”

27 Moses and the elders of Israel commanded the people: “Keep all these commands(A) that I give you today. 2 When you have crossed the Jordan(B) into the land the Lord your God is giving you, set up some large stones(C) and coat them with plaster.(D) 3 Write on them all the words of this law when you have crossed over to enter the land the Lord your God is giving you, a land flowing with milk and honey,(E) just as the Lord, the God of your ancestors, promised you. 4 And when you have crossed the Jordan, set up these stones on Mount Ebal,(F) as I command you today, and coat them with plaster. 5 Build there an altar(G) to the Lord your God, an altar of stones. Do not use any iron tool(H) on them. 6 Build the altar of the Lord your God with fieldstones and offer burnt offerings on it to the Lord your God. 7 Sacrifice fellowship offerings(I) there, eating them and rejoicing(J) in the presence of the Lord your God.(K) 8 And you shall write very clearly all the words of this law on these stones(L) you have set up.”(M)
Curses From Mount Ebal
9 Then Moses and the Levitical(N) priests said to all Israel, “Be silent, Israel, and listen! You have now become the people of the Lord your God.(O) 10 Obey the Lord your God and follow his commands and decrees that I give you today.”
11 On the same day Moses commanded the people:
12 When you have crossed the Jordan, these tribes shall stand on Mount Gerizim(P) to bless the people: Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar,(Q) Joseph and Benjamin.(R) 13 And these tribes shall stand on Mount Ebal(S) to pronounce curses: Reuben, Gad, Asher, Zebulun, Dan and Naphtali.
14 The Levites shall recite to all the people of Israel in a loud voice:
15 “Cursed is anyone who makes an idol(T)—a thing detestable(U) to the Lord, the work of skilled hands—and sets it up in secret.”
Then all the people shall say, “Amen!”(V)
16 “Cursed is anyone who dishonors their father or mother.”(W)
Then all the people shall say, “Amen!”
17 “Cursed is anyone who moves their neighbor’s boundary stone.”(X)
Then all the people shall say, “Amen!”
18 “Cursed is anyone who leads the blind astray on the road.”(Y)
Then all the people shall say, “Amen!”
19 “Cursed is anyone who withholds justice from the foreigner,(Z) the fatherless or the widow.”(AA)
Then all the people shall say, “Amen!”
20 “Cursed is anyone who sleeps with his father’s wife, for he dishonors his father’s bed.”(AB)

3 And thou shalt write upon them all the words of this law, when thou art passed over, that thou mayest go in unto the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee, a land that floweth with milk and honey; as the Lord God of thy fathers hath promised thee.
4 Therefore it shall be when ye be gone over Jordan, that ye shall set up these stones, which I command you this day, in mount Ebal, and thou shalt plaister them with plaister.
5 And there shalt thou build an altar unto the Lord thy God, an altar of stones: thou shalt not lift up any iron tool upon them.
6 Thou shalt build the altar of the Lord thy God of whole stones: and thou shalt offer burnt offerings thereon unto the Lord thy God:
7 And thou shalt offer peace offerings, and shalt eat there, and rejoice before the Lord thy God.
8 And thou shalt write upon the stones all the words of this law very plainly.
9 And Moses and the priests the Levites spake unto all Israel, saying, Take heed, and hearken, O Israel; this day thou art become the people of the Lord thy God.
10 Thou shalt therefore obey the voice of the Lord thy God, and do his commandments and his statutes, which I command thee this day.
11 And Moses charged the people the same day, saying,
12 These shall stand upon mount Gerizim to bless the people, when ye are come over Jordan; Simeon, and Levi, and Judah, and Issachar, and Joseph, and Benjamin:
13 And these shall stand upon mount Ebal to curse; Reuben, Gad, and Asher, and Zebulun, Dan, and Naphtali.
14 And the Levites shall speak, and say unto all the men of Israel with a loud voice,
15 Cursed be the man that maketh any graven or molten image, an abomination unto the Lord, the work of the hands of the craftsman, and putteth it in a secret place. And all the people shall answer and say, Amen.
16 Cursed be he that setteth light by his father or his mother. And all the people shall say, Amen.
17 Cursed be he that removeth his neighbour's landmark. And all the people shall say, Amen.
18 Cursed be he that maketh the blind to wander out of the way. And all the people shall say, Amen.
19 Cursed be he that perverteth the judgment of the stranger, fatherless, and widow. And all the people shall say, Amen.
20 Cursed be he that lieth with his father's wife; because he uncovereth his father's skirt. And all the people shall say, Amen.
21 Cursed be he that lieth with any manner of beast. And all the people shall say, Amen.
22 Cursed be he that lieth with his sister, the daughter of his father, or the daughter of his mother. And all the people shall say, Amen.
23 Cursed be he that lieth with his mother in law. And all the people shall say, Amen.
24 Cursed be he that smiteth his neighbour secretly. And all the people shall say, Amen.
