Яков се преселва в Египет
46 (A)И така, Израил тръгна с всичко, което имаше; и като дойде във Вирсавее, принесе жертви на Бога на баща си Исаак.
2 (B)А Бог говорѝ на Израил в нощно видение, като каза: Якове, Якове. А той отговори: Ето ме.
3 (C)И каза: Аз съм Бог, Бог на баща ти; не бой се да слезеш в Египет, защото ще те направя там велик народ.
4 (D)Аз ще сляза с тебе в Египет и Аз непременно ще те върна пак; и Йосиф ще сложи ръката си на очите ти.
5 (E)Тогава Яков стана от Вирсавее; и синовете на Израил качиха баща си Яков, децата си и жените си на колите, които фараон беше пратил, за да го возят;
6 (F)събраха и добитъка си, и имота, който бяха придобили в Ханаанската земя; и Яков, и цялото му семейство с него дойдоха в Египет;
7 той доведе със себе си в Египет синовете и внуците си, дъщерите и внучките си – цялото си семейство.
8 (G)А ето имената на синовете на Израил, които влязоха в Египет: Яков и синовете му: Рувим, първородният на Яков;
9 а Рувимови синове: Енох, Фалу, Есрон и Хармий;
10 (H)Симеонови синове: Емуил, Ямин, Аод, Яхин, Сохар и Саул, син на ханаанка;
11 (I)Левиеви синове: Гирсон, Каат и Мерарий;
12 (J)Юдови синове: Ир, Онан, Шела, Фарес и Зара; но Ир и Онан умряха в Ханаанската земя; и Фаресови синове бяха Есрон и Амул;
13 Исахарови синове: Тола, Фуа, Йов и Симрон;
14 Завулонови синове: Серед, Елон и Ялеил.
15 Тези са синовете, които Лия роди на Яков в Падан-арам, и дъщеря му Дина. Те всички – синовете и дъщерите му – бяха тридесет и трима души.
16 (K)А Гадови синове: Сифон, Агий, Суний, Есвон, Ирий, Ародий и Арилий;
17 (L)Асирови синове: Емна, Есуа, Есуй и Верия, и сестра им Сера; и Вериеви синове: Хевер и Малхиел.
18 (M)Тези са синовете на Зелфа, която Лаван даде на дъщеря си Лия; и тях тя роди на Яков – шестнадесет души.
19 (N)А синовете на Якововата жена Рахил: Йосиф и Вениамин.
20 (O)И на Йосиф се родиха в Египетската земя Манасия и Ефрем, които му роди Асенета, дъщеря на Илиополския жрец Потифер.
21 (P)Вениаминови синове: Вела, Вехер, Асвил, Гира, Нееман, Ихий, Рос, Мупим, Упим и Аред.
22 Тези са Рахилините синове, които се родиха на Яков, всичките – четиринадесет души.
23 (Q)А Данов син: Усим.
24 (R)Нефталимови синове: Ясиил, Гуний, Есер и Силим.
25 (S)Тези са синовете на Вала, която Лаван даде на дъщеря си Рахил, и тях тя роди на Яков, всичките – седем души.
26 Всички хора, които дойдоха с Яков в Египет, които излязоха от чреслата му, всички те бяха шестдесет и шест души, освен Якововите снахи;
27 (T)а синовете, които се родиха на Йосиф в Египет, бяха двама. Всички от Якововия дом, които дойдоха в Египет, бяха седемдесет души.

32 а тези хора, понеже са овчари и се занимават със скотовъдство, докараха стадата и добитъка си и всичко, което имат.
33 (Y)И когато ви повика фараонът и попита: Какво ви е занятието?
34 (Z)Кажете: Ние, слугите ти, и бащите ни от младини до сега сме скотовъдци. Кажете това, за да живеете в Гесенската земя, защото всички овчари са отвратителни за египтяните.

Jacob Moves to Egypt
46 So Israel set out with all that he had and came to (A)Beersheba and offered sacrifices to the (B)God of his father Isaac. 2 (C)And God spoke to Israel [a]in visions of the night and said, “(D)Jacob, Jacob.” And he said, “Here I am.” 3 And He said, “(E)I am God, the God of your father; do not be afraid to go down to Egypt, for I will (F)make you a great nation there. 4 (G)I Myself will go down with you to Egypt, and (H)I Myself will also bring you up again; and (I)Joseph will [b]close your eyes with his hand.”
5 Then Jacob arose from Beersheba; and the sons of Israel carried their father Jacob and their little ones and their wives in the (J)wagons which Pharaoh had sent to carry him. 6 And they took their livestock and their possessions, which they had accumulated in the land of Canaan, and they (K)came to Egypt, Jacob and all his seed with him: 7 his sons and his grandsons with him, his daughters and his granddaughters, and all his seed he brought with him to Egypt.
8 Now these are the (L)names of the sons of Israel—of Jacob and his sons—who were coming to Egypt: Reuben, Jacob’s firstborn. 9 The sons of Reuben: Hanoch and Pallu and Hezron and Carmi. 10 The (M)sons of Simeon: [c]Jemuel and Jamin and Ohad and [d]Jachin and [e]Zohar and Shaul the son of a Canaanite woman. 11 The sons of Levi: [f]Gershon, Kohath, and Merari. 12 The sons of Judah: Er and Onan and Shelah and Perez and Zerah (but Er and Onan died in the land of Canaan). And the (N)sons of Perez were Hezron and Hamul. 13 The sons of Issachar: Tola and [g]Puvvah and [h]Iob and Shimron. 14 The sons of Zebulun: Sered and Elon and Jahleel. 15 These are the sons of Leah, whom she bore to Jacob in Paddan-aram, with his daughter Dinah; [i]all his sons and his daughters numbered thirty-three.
16 The (O)sons of Gad: [j]Ziphion and Haggi, Shuni and [k]Ezbon, Eri and [l]Arodi and Areli. 17 The (P)sons of Asher: Imnah and Ishvah and Ishvi and Beriah and their sister Serah. And the (Q)sons of Beriah: Heber and Malchiel. 18 These are the sons of Zilpah, whom Laban gave to his daughter Leah; and she bore to Jacob these sixteen persons.
19 The sons of Jacob’s wife Rachel: Joseph and Benjamin. 20 (R)Now to Joseph in the land of Egypt were born Manasseh and Ephraim, whom Asenath, the daughter of Potiphera, priest of On, bore to him. 21 The (S)sons of Benjamin: Bela and Becher and Ashbel, Gera and Naaman, [m]Ehi and Rosh, [n]Muppim and [o]Huppim and Ard. 22 These are the sons of Rachel, who were born to Jacob; there were fourteen persons in all.
23 The sons of Dan: [p]Hushim. 24 The sons of Naphtali: [q]Jahzeel and Guni and Jezer and [r]Shillem.
25 These are the (T)sons of Bilhah, whom (U)Laban gave to his daughter Rachel, and she bore these to Jacob; there were seven persons in all. 26 (V)All the persons belonging to Jacob, who came to Egypt, who came out of his loins, excluding the wives of Jacob’s sons, were sixty-six persons in all, 27 and the sons of Joseph, who were born to him in Egypt were [s]two; (W)all the persons of the house of Jacob, who came to Egypt, were seventy.
28 Now he sent Judah before him to Joseph, to point out the way before him to (X)Goshen; and they came into the land of Goshen. 29 And Joseph harnessed his chariot and went up to Goshen to meet his father Israel; as soon as he appeared [t]before him, he fell on his neck and (Y)wept on his neck a long time. 30 Then Israel said to Joseph, “Now I can die, since I have seen your face, that you are still alive.” 31 And Joseph said to his brothers and to his father’s household, “(Z)I will go up and tell Pharaoh and say to him, ‘My brothers and my father’s household, who were in the land of Canaan, have come to me; 32 and the men are shepherds, for they have been [u]keepers of livestock; and they have brought their flocks and their herds and all that they have.’ 33 And it will be when Pharaoh calls you and says, ‘(AA)What is your occupation?’ 34 then you shall say, ‘Your servants have been [v](AB)keepers of livestock from our youth and until now, both we and our fathers,’ that you may [w]live in the land of (AC)Goshen; for every shepherd is (AD)an abomination to the Egyptians.”
