They were astounded and asked in amazement, “Are not all these men who are speaking Galileans? How is it then that each of us hears them in his own native language? Parthians, Medes, and Elamites, residents of Mesopotamia, Judea, and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia, 10 Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the districts of Libya around Cyrene, visitors from Rome, both Jews and proselytes,[a] 11 Cretans and Arabs—we hear them speaking in our own languages about the mighty deeds of God.”

12 They were all astounded and perplexed, and they said to one another, “What does all this mean?”
