⁷ They were astounded and asked in amazement, “Are not all these men who are speaking Galileans? ⁸ How is it then that each of us hears them in his own native language? ⁹ Parthians, Medes, and Elamites, residents of Mesopotamia, Judea, and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia, ¹⁰ Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the districts of Libya around Cyrene, visitors from Rome, both Jews and proselytes,^{[a] 11} Cretans and Arabs—we hear them speaking in our own languages about the mighty deeds of God.”

¹² They were all astounded and perplexed, and they said to one another, “What does all this mean?”
