Tell of All His Wondrous Works

105 (A)Oh give thanks to the Lord; (B)call upon his name;
    (C)make known his deeds among the peoples!
Sing to him, sing praises to him;
    (D)tell of all his wondrous works!
Glory in his holy name;
    let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice!
Seek the Lord and his (E)strength;
    (F)seek his presence continually!
Remember the (G)wondrous works that he has done,
    his miracles, and (H)the judgments he uttered,
O offspring of (I)Abraham, his servant,
    children of Jacob, his (J)chosen ones!

23 Then (A)Israel came to Egypt;
    Jacob (B)sojourned in (C)the land of Ham.
24 And the Lord (D)made his people very fruitful
    and made them stronger than their foes.
25 He (E)turned their hearts to hate his people,
    to (F)deal craftily with his servants.

26 He (G)sent Moses, his servant,
    and Aaron, (H)whom he had chosen.

16 Go and (A)gather the elders of Israel together and say to them, ‘The Lord, the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob, has appeared to me, saying, (B)“I have observed you and what has been done to you in Egypt, 17 and I promise that (C)I will bring you up out of the affliction of Egypt to the land of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Amorites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites, a land (D)flowing with milk and honey.”’ 18 And (E)they will listen to your voice, and you and the elders of Israel (F)shall go to the king of Egypt and say to him, ‘The Lord, the God of the Hebrews, has (G)met with us; and now, please let us go a three days' journey into the wilderness, that we may sacrifice to the Lord our God.’ 19 But I know that the king of Egypt (H)will not let you go unless compelled (I)by a mighty hand.[a] 20 So (J)I will stretch out my hand and strike Egypt with (K)all the wonders that I will do in it; (L)after that he will let you go. 21 And (M)I will give this people favor in the sight of the Egyptians; and when you go, you shall not go empty, 22 but each woman shall ask of her neighbor, and any woman who lives in her house, for (N)silver and gold jewelry, and for clothing. You shall put them on your sons and on your daughters. So (O)you shall plunder the Egyptians.”

Footnotes

  1. Exodus 3:19 Septuagint, Vulgate; Hebrew go, not by a mighty hand

For (A)the mystery of lawlessness (B)is already at work. Only he who now restrains it will do so until he is out of the way. And then (C)the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus (D)will kill with (E)the breath of his mouth and bring to nothing by (F)the appearance of his coming. The coming of the lawless one is by the activity of Satan (G)with all power and false signs and wonders, 10 and with all wicked deception for (H)those who are perishing, because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. 11 Therefore (I)God sends them a strong delusion, so that they may believe (J)what is false, 12 in order that all may be condemned (K)who did not believe the truth but (L)had pleasure in unrighteousness.
