Psalm 23
English Standard Version
The Lord Is My Shepherd
A Psalm of David.
23 The Lord is my (A)shepherd; I shall not (B)want.
2 He makes me lie down in green (C)pastures.
He leads me beside still waters.[a]
3 He (D)restores my soul.
He (E)leads me in (F)paths of righteousness[b]
for his (G)name's sake.
4 Even though I (H)walk through the valley of (I)the shadow of death,[c]
I will (J)fear no evil,
for (K)you are with me;
your (L)rod and your staff,
they comfort me.
5 You (M)prepare a table before me
in (N)the presence of my enemies;
you (O)anoint my head with oil;
my (P)cup overflows.
6 Surely[d] goodness and mercy[e] shall follow me
all the days of my life,
and I shall (Q)dwell[f] in the house of the Lord
(R)forever.[g]

Acts 4:5-12
English Standard Version
5 On the next day their rulers and elders and scribes gathered together in Jerusalem, 6 with (A)Annas the high priest and (B)Caiaphas and John and Alexander, and all who were of the high-priestly family. 7 And when they had set them in the midst, they inquired, (C)“By what power or (D)by what name did you do this?” 8 Then Peter, (E)filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, “Rulers of the people and elders, 9 if we are being examined today (F)concerning a good deed done to a crippled man, by what means this man has been healed, 10 let it be known to all of you and to all the people of Israel that (G)by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, (H)whom God raised from the dead—by him this man is standing before you well. 11 (I)This Jesus[a] is the stone that was (J)rejected by you, the builders, which has become the cornerstone.[b] 12 And there is (K)salvation (L)in no one else, for (M)there is no other (N)name under heaven given among men[c] by which we must be saved.”

16 By this we know love, that (A)he laid down his life for us, and (B)we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers. 17 But (C)if anyone has the world's goods and sees his brother in need, yet (D)closes his heart against him, (E)how does God's love abide in him? 18 Little children, let us not (F)love in word or talk but in deed and (G)in truth.
19 By this we shall know that we are of the truth and reassure our heart before him; 20 for whenever our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart, and he knows everything. 21 Beloved, (H)if our heart does not condemn us, (I)we have confidence before God; 22 and (J)whatever we ask we receive from him, because we keep his commandments and (K)do what pleases him. 23 And this is his commandment, (L)that we believe in the name of his Son Jesus Christ and (M)love one another, (N)just as he has commanded us. 24 (O)Whoever keeps his commandments abides in God,[a] and God[b] in him. And (P)by this we know that he abides in us, by the Spirit whom he has given us.

John 10:9-11
English Standard Version
9 I am the door. If anyone enters by me, (A)he will be saved and will go in and out and (B)find pasture. 10 The thief comes only to steal and (C)kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly. 11 (D)I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd (E)lays down his life for the sheep.

Jesus Calls Levi
27 (A)After this he went out and saw (B)a tax collector named (C)Levi, sitting at the tax booth. And he said to him, “Follow me.” 28 And (D)leaving everything, he rose and followed him.
29 And Levi made him a great feast in his house, and there was a large company (E)of tax collectors and others reclining at table with them. 30 And the Pharisees and (F)their scribes grumbled at his disciples, saying, (G)“Why do you eat and drink with tax collectors and sinners?” 31 And Jesus answered them, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. 32 (H)I have not come to call the righteous (I)but sinners (J)to repentance.”
