10 Ang matalinong anak ay ligaya ng magulang,
    ngunit tinik sa dibdib ang anak na mangmang.
Ang yamang buhat sa masama ay di papakinabangan,
    ngunit ang katuwiran ay maglalayo sa kamatayan.
Ang matuwid ay binibigyan ni Yahweh ng kasiyahan,
    ngunit ang masama'y kanyang ginugutom naman.
Ang kamay na tamad ay tiyak na magdarahop,
    ngunit magbubunton ng yaman ang kamay na masinop.
Ang nag-iimbak kung tag-araw ay nagpapakilala ng katalinuhan,

Ang matuwid ay mag-aani ng pagpapala't kabutihan,

11 Ang bibig ng matuwid ay bukal ng buhay,
    ngunit labi ng masama ay nagtatakip ng karahasan.

    ngunit ang pag-ibig ay pumapawi sa lahat ng kasalanan.
13 Sa labi ng may unawa matatagpuan ang karunungan,
