Awit ng Parangal para sa Jerusalem

Isang Awit ng Pag-akyat upang Sumamba; katha ni David.

122 Ako ay nagalak nang sabihin nila:
“Pumunta na tayo sa bahay ni Yahweh.”
²Sama-sama kami matapos sapitin,
ang pintuang-lunsod nitong Jerusalem.

³Itong Jerusalem ay napakaganda,
    matatag at maayos na lunsod siya.
⁴Dito umaahon ang lahat ng angkan,
    lipi ni Israel upang manambahan,
ang hangad, si Yahweh ay pasalamatan,
    pagkat ito'y utos na dapat gampanan.
⁵Doon din naroon ang mga hukuman
    at trono ng haring hahatol sa tanan.

⁶Ang kapayapaan nitong Jerusalem, sikaping kay Yahweh ito'y idalangin:
    “Ang nangagmamahal sa iyo'y pagpalain.
⁷    Pumayapa nawa ang banal na bayan,
    at ang palasyo mo ay maging tiwasay.”
⁸Alang-alang sa kasama at pamilya ko,
    sa iyo Jerusalem, ang sabi ko'y ito: “Ang kapayapaa'y laging sumaiyo.”
⁹Dahilan sa bahay ni Yahweh, ating Diyos,
    ang aking dalangi'y umunlad kang lubos.

Let Us Go to the House of the Lord

122 I was glad when they said to me,
    ^(B)“Let us go to the house of the Lord!”
²Our feet have been standing
    within your gates, O Jerusalem!
³Jerusalem—^(C)built as a city
    that is ^(D)bound firmly together,
⁴to which the tribes ^(E)go up,
    the tribes of the Lord,
as was ^(F)decreed for^[a] Israel,
    to give thanks to the name of the Lord.
⁵There ^(G)thrones for judgement were set,
    the thrones of the house of David.
⁶^(H)Pray for the peace of Jerusalem!
    “May they be secure who love you!
⁷Peace be within your ^(I)walls
    and security within your ^(J)towers!”
⁸For my brothers and companions' sake
    I will say, ^(K)“Peace be within you!”
⁹For the sake of the house of the Lord our God,
    I will ^(L)seek your good.
